Time for my evil twisted plant experiments >:)
It’s time to work on tomato grafts! I have a rootstock variety called Multifort that grants a lot of resistant to cooler weather and other conditions. The tomato that successfully took to it last year lived until like, November (even if it wasn’t able to fruit by that time.)
The scions I have are Carbon, Sungold, Black Trifele, and Black Krim.
I’m also going to try and do some pepper and tomatillo grafts as well to try and save space so I don’t need as many plants to grow a variety of different fruits.

Great to see the oyajis having fun lately 😁🫶
💜 Kaoru visiting his exhibition, he did some live drawing. According to the fans, he wore a colorful shirt, black shorts, knitted hat (beanie?). His eyes were sharp while concentrating on the drawing, but became soft once he stopped drawing and looked at the fans. He ate Krim crepe today (19/9) which had black sesame ice cream, black sesame sauce, strawberry, red beans, whipped cream 🤤. He greeted his fans on the last day of the exhibition (20/9).
💙 Toshiya went shopping with his sister some times before and seemingly had a huge strawberry parfait 🤣🤣 (could be his sister’s order but i’m pretty confident it was our ojisan’s order). Toshiya went to Budoukan!! (20/9).
Bonus Kaoru’s signature at the collab crepe shop

It's incredibly and unseasonably hot. 88F twice this week and 84 today, didn't stop me from getting lots of work done. Almost half of all beds filled with compost, tomatoes transplanted, bushbeans planted. Irrigation almost complete, I hope the heat isn't stressing the peas and spinach too much.
Tomatoes: Captain Lucky, black krim, Thorburns Terra Cotta, Cherokee purple, Peron sprayless, Sunrise, sungold, black strawberry
Beans: Cranberry, Yellow Eye, Calima
