I just saw a video of Palestinian men rescuing a small baby from rubble, still alive.... The baby was showered with kissed and praises to God, everyone smiling. They were handling the baby with such gentleness, such care, that I (a woman, expected by society to be motherly) don't believe I would be able to have. I can't stop crying. These men are being villainized by media. Even pro palestinian people tend to use the "think of the women and the children", as if palestinian/arab men don't deserve the same mercy, but THESE MEN ARE HEROES. They're fathers, brothers, husbands, sons. they're doctors, teachers, bakers, and so much more. They've lost their home, their families, but they are still brave enough to keep on helping. They are the true heroes, and they deserve our kindness and protection too. Our voice must include them.

I respect people who make Narcissa having been forced to marry Lucius or their relantioship being in some form abusive, but for me she went into that shit with eyes wide open. She knew full well what she was doing. She wanted to make it out of this war alive and on top, so of course she would accept the offer to quietly disengage herself from her zealot family and then realign herself with people known for being opportunists. I think from a very young age (Voldemort had to be some type of active since at least she was born) it was drilled into her that a war was coming and the side with, you know, the immortal almost all-powerful Dark Lord was going to win. Which it DID. Voldemort only went down because he specifically crafted his own demise – the first Order of the Phoenix never had an actual chance.
And still, from the pick of any of the Sacred 28, Narcissa married a man who did not hesitate to cry Imperio the SECOND the going got tough. She and Lucius are birds of a feather through and through, even if he was a true believer and she was not (in Voldemort, at least. I think every Black was a little bit of an blood supremacist, even if only because of their upbringing, see Sirius' treatment of Kreacher). They believe in having their cake and eating it too – which is why Narcissa wasn't a Death Eater and still married a very prominent one; She was covering all her bases. Twice the wizarding world went to war and twice every Death Eater got killed or arrested while the Malfoys walked away with full pardons.
Let Narcissa be selfish! Let her be manipulative and ruthless and a bit of a coward! I think the tragedy of her and Alice gets even MORE poignant if Narcissa can't be remotely cast as a victim. Because, there has to have been some point in their relantionship where Alice realised there was no point in trying to convince Narcissa the Death Eaters were wrong – because she knew, she just didn't care, and it wasn't a decision made from a place of fear, but of cold calculation. Narcissa decided that her safety was more important than doing what was right, while Alice would rather die fighting than live any life under Voldemort, when as a Pureblood she could have chosen to just coast by the war and take no sides. If Narcissa had her way, the war and her marriage wouldn't have been any impediment for her to continuing being with Alice. But Alice knew she deserved better than being someone's second priority. And in the end, it doesn't matter that Alice was the one to be undoubtly in the right, because so was Narcissa – only one of them made it out of the war, after all.

Do you support prison abolition /paying prisoners a living wage / making being able to vote more accessible to everyone?
I like your stances and opinions and your jokes but I'm genuinely curious on this one.
(This is inspired by some of the comments under one of your posts talking about how we should just make democracy more livable under capitalism, and while I disagree with that being the ONLY thing we need to do, it does kinda make me think about how many people think we need to get better without abolishing prisons or at least treating our prisoners better than we are treating them currently.)
hi! i'm not sure which post you're referring to but I'm actually anti-capitalist. I think we need to dismantle capitalism as a system because it is inherently inhumane, working exactly as intended and therefore cannot be "fixed" without restructuring it entirely from the ground up; the devaluation of human labor and environmental destruction for profit is not a bug, it's a feature. i could delve into the kind of economic system that i think should replace it after dismantling it, however it's more of a thought exercise and until it becomes a plausible reality, i would rather focus on how we can make capitalism livable for the time being because we have no other choice. for example we could start by lowering rent, instituting a 4-day work week, and establishing support networks for homeless people. i'm not an economist so it's not like i have all the answers but according to the results from other countries who have applied these practices, it improves quality of life and the economy significantly.
as for prisons, i'm pro-abolition. you can check out my prison abolition tag for more information, but essentially prisons exist in this day and age as an industry that profits off of slave labor. many of our laws and their enforcers unfairly target minorities and lower class people, and the denial of convicts the right to vote is just another way our government strips vulnerable communities of their political power, autonomy, and supposedly inalienable rights. aside from the conviction of innocent people and people who did commit a crime but ultimately did no harm, i don't think it's the right of any individual (or government, for that matter) to imprison others. i think people tend to forget that "criminals" are human beings and deserving of the same rights as everyone else, and it is human nature to make mistakes. the important thing is the opportunity to do better. militarist propaganda has done an incredible job of convincing us that convicts are amoral and undeserving of our sympathy, turning society in general against them and destroying any sort of safety net they might have had or needed otherwise. and people are too busy clinging to the notion that criminals are subhuman and deserving of whatever punishment is dealt that they can't see that this is a slide into fascism, and that they can just as easily become "other" should they find themselves on the receiving end of the system. we are very close to living in a surveillance state, which means any minor offense or slip-up has the potential to completely decimate your chances at getting a job, applying for college, getting a loan, receiving housing, and especially being able to have a say in elections. it also makes you more likely to be arrested again on account of "suspected illegal activity", so your record follows you around for the rest of your life.
sorry this got so long but yeah, essentially capitalism and the prison industry are inhumane and should be abolished.
#voter suppression#prison abolition#militarism#capitalism#52018#racism#classism#1312#also before anyone brings up r/pe or other genuinely awful crimes that endanger people i have to posit the question:#how can we account for those crimes when the people arrested for them are are mainly minorities?#need i remind you that white women used to accuse black men of assault just to weaponize their white privilege?#to exert power over them out of fear or hatred? people convicted for violent crimes are disproportionately trans poor and POC#while the rest of people actually committing those crimes walk free because of the privileges of being cis/het/white/upper-class#and like. thats not to say that those crimes should go unrecognized. but the system we have and the people enforcing it are just not#capable of doing so fairly. they look for signs of abusive behavior in race. gender. sex. age. class. sexuality. religious beliefs.#very little investigation is performed and hardly any empirical data is used in ruling. if they cared about victims at all they would focus#on preventing abuse before it happens and giving us support and access to people and services who can help. as a victim and survivor#the gov did not give a shit about my abuse. we cant make a system built on suffering care about any of us.#and like. yall are so confident you'll be able to decide who is 'good' and who is 'bad' but you can't. its like the shit with amber heard.#everyone was so caught up in defending their favorite actor they disregarded a woman's account of her abuse and made her out to be crazy an#evil#and i know you think youre different and we can do it differently but it happens over and over and over again#tldr we cant use a system to prosecute the ''evil people of society'' that is built on defining those traits through a racist misogynistic#etc lens#if we could we wouldnt even be in this mess

Nurturing Unity and Well-being Over Discord: Lil Boosie’s Struggles Highlight the Importance of Healthy Co-Parenting
Tumblr media
Welcome to Afrofusionist! Explore More on Our Home Page.
Introduction
Navigating the intricate terrain of relationships can often give rise to challenging separations, particularly when children become central. The recent spotlight on rapper Lil Boosie’s strained connection with his daughter and her mother brings into focus the intricacies of co-parenting. This article delves into this situation, examining the potential harms of exploiting the child support system and championing the cultivation of healthier co-parenting dynamics, all within the context of nurturing unity and well-being in the black community.
Boosie’s Issues with His Daughter and Her Mother
Last month, Lil Boosie found himself embroiled in a public feud with his daughter, Tori, as reported by XXL. Their conflict escalated when Boosie repossessed a Mercedes-Benz he had gifted her for her 16th birthday, following her decision to leave their shared residence in Atlanta to support her mother. The situation escalated online, with both parties airing their grievances for all to see.
Navigating Co-Parenting Challenges
Lil Boosie’s situation is a prime example of how co-parenting challenges can turn into public spectacles. It’s crucial to recognize that disagreements between parents should not be used as ammunition against one another, particularly within the child support system. Weaponizing child support can not only damage the child-parent relationship but can also perpetuate harmful stereotypes about the intentions of black women.
Avoiding Abandonment: Prioritizing the Well-being of Children
One of the most concerning elements of Lil Boosie’s statements is his threat to cut off his daughter from his life and will. While it’s not uncommon for disputes between parents to strain their relationships with their children, it’s essential to remember that a child’s well-being should always take precedence. Disowning a child due to differences with the other parent is unjust and can have long-lasting emotional consequences for the child involved.
The Impact on Black Men in America
Lil Boosie’s health scare and the parallel drawn to Dr. Dre’s similar experience during his divorce, as reported by Rolling Stone, underscore the challenges black men face in America. The legal and emotional battles these individuals go through can often have profound effects on their physical and mental well-being. Addressing these challenges requires open dialogues within the community about mental health, resilience, and healthy coping mechanisms.
Fostering Healthy Co-Parenting Dynamics
The need for healthier co-parenting dynamics is clear. Instead of leveraging the child support system as a tool of revenge or manipulation, parents should work together to provide a stable environment for their children. Clear communication, empathy, and compromise are crucial components of successful co-parenting. This not only benefits the children involved but also helps to break the cycle of animosity.
Final Thoughts
Lil Boosie’s recent conflicts with his daughter and her mother highlight the importance of maintaining positive co-parenting dynamics. As the black community continues to address societal challenges, nurturing healthy relationships between parents is paramount. Weaponizing the child support system only perpetuates division and hurt, rather than nurturing the emotional and psychological well-being of the children it should protect.
As we conclude this insightful journey, I urge you to persist in your pursuit of enlightenment and empowerment. For a deeper exploration of nurturing unity and well-being, watch our engaging YouTube video, Boosie’s Daughter Tori PRESSURES Him After Car Reversal! and it’s alignment with the concepts from Thomas J. Stanley and William D. Danko book, “The Millionaire Next Door Book.” Your perspective counts, as we together drive positive change.
Let’s strive for unity, understanding, and empathy in our co-parenting efforts. By prioritizing the children and focusing on their well-being, we can create a brighter future for them and pave the way for healthier relationships in the black community.

A queer newsletter from my hometown is posting about the lack of lesbian bars in this major city. But they're acting like this is a long-standing issue when it isn't. There was a lesbian bar in town. For many years, it opened sometime in the 80s. Then, around 2015/2016 trans rights became the hot button issue, and that bar took approximately 5 minutes to become a terf bar and start isolating itself from the rest of the local queer community. The petty infighting between regulars led to a gradual loss of business before the bar ultimately shut down in 2019. (Then relocated and reopened in 2021 as a straight bar).
It's great if they want to open a new lesbian/ women's bar, or otherwise create that space. But they've got to deal with this problem first.

i have literally never done this before but imma do it now cause i’m avoiding all my responsibilities
my thoughts about chris hemsworth with a black woman cause i don’t see it enough!
chris is a himbo ALL THE FUCKING WAY.
i feel like he knows about the world around him and is educated, but this man really just lacks common sense
he’s just out here being hot and that’s more than enough
he’s so attentive and caring towards you
always checking on you and asking questions to make sure you’re doing okay
i imagine he’s with a really book smart reader, and she’s always just going on about things that interest here and make her beam with excitement
and chris is always just listening to her go on and on with pure joy on his face
as a black woman, it’s really easy to feel like we can’t talk about these things without being viewed as “weird” or given the backhanded compliment of being called “so articulate” or something like that
so to have chris just there listening is so therapeutic
he’s very aware of your night time routine
so if there’s any reason why you can’t carry it out, he’s there to do it for you
maybe you’re so tired after an incredibly long week, that you just need him to do it
he wraps your hair up expertly for your shower
and after when you get out he puts on all your creams and what not to get you ready for bed
that’s all i got for now lol i just wanted to share some fluffy thoughts
night y’all 🙏🏽
