How to Create Your Own Self-Care Plan
You may have heard it before: You can’t help others without taking care of yourself first. Self-care is an important way to protect your physical, mental and emotional health so you can better adapt to changes, build strong relationships and recover from setbacks. You can also better support those around you who might be in need.
If you’re ready to take care of yourself and practice self-care, use this information from the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) curriculum to create a realistic and effective plan.
When creating your self-care plan, it’s important to consider the following questions:
What will I do for self-care? Stick to the basics and add certain self-care activities to your calendar. Some examples are getting enough sleep, exercising as appropriate for your own health, eating healthfully, spending time with loved ones, using relaxation exercises and practicing meditation.
Whom can I call at any time? Identify people in your life who you trust and can talk to about the good and bad that may happen.
Whom can I reach out to if I need more help? Identify who you can call if you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or sad. This may include loved ones, a coach or teacher, or mental health professional.
As you start to think about what activities you want to include in your self-care plan, it can be helpful to explore these domains and brainstorm people, programs and activities that are important and feel safe to you within each. You may find that you have things for one domain, a few, or all of them:
Intellectual
Emotional
Occupational
Environment
Community
Physical
Financial
Spiritual
Remember that everyone’s self-care plan will be different — and that’s OK. Equally important, don’t be afraid to ask for help. Reach out to the supportive people in your life and discuss self-care methods that may have helped them and what you’re hoping to achieve. You can also use these tips from MHFA to care for yourself while practicing physical distancing. With the right information and tools, you can #BeTheDifference for yourself every day.

thoughts on set dressing in my s/i’s world
In my old age (joke) I have become one of those boring black and white minimalist home people where I used to be a jewel tone gold trinket loving clutter on every surface maximalist. It’s not all bad, somehow I feel this is partly a reflection of C.able in me cause I always thought he’d live super spartan just because he just strikes me as a guy that is content with the bare basics and he’s like...kinda zen about it... so at least I think we could live in peace with our mutual living space design options HAHA
When I first started envisioning the environment my s/i might live in, at first I had this messy, dark jewel tone, random stuff hanging everywhere block out curtains, kind of environment in mind. Like candle wax and incense ash on the shelves and stuff, clothes in piles, five lamps for no reason etc

Now, some of you may think I've majorly downgraded and that is valid. I still think maximalism looks amazing, romantic, lush and cozy. I've just started to personally want an environment that is simple and low maintenance, plus I started to get a little more conscious about material consumption/value/functionality. This is not an attack on people that enjoy trinkets, it's more like I have come to some realisations about myself and what I can realistically achieve, mentally deal with and maintain. now I swoon at bedrooms like these HAHAHHA

Lately I’ve been teaching the men around me about the duality of divine energy and, the importance of tapping into their feminine energy. To tap into this energy is to know that: Rest, Relaxation and, Self Care as a Birth Right. That Men are STILL VALUABLE even when they’re not providing. If you have a male in your life that you care about ? Take sometime out to tap in with them mentally, cleanse their locs/wash their hair and Speak Life Over Them. 🫶🏾

The mental health system has a huge gap for those who live with mental illness and trauma due to no ones fault. Who's problems dont stem from interpersonal issues or who dont follow the sstereotypicalt thought feeling behavior cbt model. I was inpatient for three months and they did not know what to do to help me. The entire program centered on family conflicts, substance issues and abuse trauma.

Hi everyone
So i hate to do this again, but due to both personal stresses and the state of the world I’m officially going on an indefinite hiatus. I love running this blog and helping people but one, i have a ton of stressors happening in my personal life, and two, it feels wrong running a silly little gimmick blog when people are being needlessly slaughtered, persecuted against, and dehumanized in huge numbers for simply being, in the US, in Palestine, Sudan, Ghana, and so many other places. I’m black, trans, AFAB, and neurodivergent living in the US, so daily I’ve had to deal with trauma personal to me in the states while trying to do what I can to take action against the atrocities happening overseas. All that to say there are significantly more important things I think should be being done than running a gimmick blog on tumblr. As much as I love this platform and have had a blast with it, it’s also kinda terrible for my mental health, and something bad for my mental health has to go before I completely break down. I love y’all and have had a great time. If ever the world calms down, perhaps I’ll come back, but for now I’m deleting tumblr and stepping back.
It might sound selfish but I’m also not gonna be offering to hand off this blog to anyone else, this was a really fun personal thing for me to explore my special interest and as somebody who doesn’t have a ton to myself and is not interested in chasing any sort of legacy, I don’t feel any urge to keep it going under someone else’s moderation. I’d never had a platform before this so I’d like to keep it 100% mine, even when I’m not in a place to run it. I know that might be a bit of a controversial choice but it’s the one that feels right to me.
Thanks for coming along with me on this fun little project. Sorry for the things I said I’d do eventually that never came to fruition. Keep loving cars and learning about them, I hope at least a couple people who follow me here pursue that interest.

I was just beaten, stabbed, and shot all in just the matter of a few days, each day a different incident or attack by an individual in my family and outside of my family by ppl around me, I had to get several stitches in my legs, arms, hands and even some in my face after being jumped and beaten and stabbed, I had a bullet pulled out my leg and my side, I was shot 8 times, 4 times in the legs and 2 times in my right lower abdomen and another 2 times in my left lower abdomen, I been in and out of the hospital including the mental hospital for suicide attempts as well as being harmed by transphobic ppl, I've been struggling paying for costs of a vet visit after my kitten was killed by my moms dog after she had her dog kill her, I've been raped, molested and abused by my family and ppl in my schools and neighborhood and I just get tired of being in this same situation surrounded by poverty, I live in a neighborhood where I'm constantly threatened for being a black trans woman and I have NO ONE TO TURN TO, I've tried getting help finding a new job but it's harder after constantly being fired for molestation at work and sexual harassment and constant work abuse I've been thru whether it was employees or managers targeting me with harassment and bullying within the workplace and it's been hard in general trying to get help with financial situations, paying for medical bills and get med assistance from the government and the city as well as mental health help for therapists, psychiatric help, and safe space havens or shelters, I've also been from mental health facility shelter to homeless shelters and been harassed, abused, raped and molested in EVERY SINGLE ONE, i am currently living in a rundown home surrounded by poverty and bad conditions, rusted bursted pipes, i have no plumbing, no water, no way to get anything to drink, to clean stuff with, i dont have water for dishes to be cleaned, laundry to be washed, or to bathe or shower in or to take a piss or shit in either and there are several dead cats in my basement as well as raccoons from all the holes in the walls, I had to freeze in the winter and was trying to get help from the city with some government assistance and I'VE YET TO GET ANY HELP, ANY THERAPISTS FOR MY MENTAL HEALTH I'M STILL ON A QUEUE, I HAVE NO HELP FOR MENTAL HEALTH MEDS, OR PSYCHIATRIC HELP, I can't seem to afford to get help with much even after succeeding my Gofundme goal because I had to use most of that money for food for me and my cats and keep cleaning products to get my home clean WHICH IS STILL A MESS. so what i need anyone to do for me if yall POSSIBLY CAN, is reblog this as much as you can and please share my links to donation help with pet food, water, meds, med help, mental health help, finding an apartment, getting a bed or mattress, and any daily needs and necessities IF YALL CAN.
My goal is to get at least $2500 to $3000, I know it's alot but rn I need as much as I can possibly get, yall can send anything, nothing is too small it's ALL APPRECIATED.
