But it matters less than the very real fact she had zero systemic power to enact his death or the acquittal of his killers.

We can have very important conversations about white women and racism without using it as an excuse to absolve white men.

It’s not a coincidence that once women made their own civil rights progress they suddenly lost this amazing ability to condemn a black man to death just by reporting him to her male owner. Accusations coming from a WOMAN are always dismissed.

This guy at my work is fucking wigging me out. I viewed him as pretty harmless albeit annoying in the beginning but his behavior has developed to a point where I’m feeling sort of paranoid now…

He’s this heavy set dude, suspenders, neck beard, extremely punctual and polite. He constantly checks in on you and ask you questions to get to know you better. I thought, “This guy is kind of autistic but I suppose he’s nice enough.”

Then, last week, he threw in this little awkward comment that I was cute. He sort of choked it out in a way that made an impression on me because he wasn’t someone I had seen display any sort of nervousness since I’d been there; not even in the face of irate customers. It was apparent that he meant it. I felt nauseated and laughed a little as I walked away to continue with my work duties. Mentally I was like, “REEEEEEEEEE”

After that I became a bit more hypervigilant about this guy. I noticed how incessant he seemed on talking to me. I attempted avoiding him a little (which is hard when you’re all trapped in the same room for half the day) and put a lot of focus on talking with literally anybody else but to my horror, I noticed he would stare at me.

JUST STRAIGHT UP NO SHAME EYES LOCKED ON ME, EVEN WHEN I’D BE IN A GROUP OF MULTIPLE PEOPLE…… it’d send fucking goosebumps all up my arms…. I could barely focus on anything else because all my attention was going into watching him in my peripheral and pretending I wasn’t spooked by his blank face and unwavering gaze.

I realized he was laying his whole ‘checking in on you thing’ extra hard on me. He’d check in with the others maybe every hour or so? but with me? EVERY 15 MINUTES….. it started bugging me, “are you feeling okay? do you need any help with that?” INCESSANTLY….. I’m not a fucking toddler, I don’t help pushing the nacho cheese button, dude.

I learned more about his personality. He hates the Shrek franchise because it doesn’t have ‘good morals’ and was super pedantic about what constitutes a Fairy Tale. He doesn’t like songs with swearing and his favorite music is Chopin and Kanas (???). He often publicly sings songs I don’t recognize but have a bland like hymn quality to them. You know what doesn’t go well with working food service or janitorial duties? This moid belting out his fucking tunes like everyone in the room is just dying to hear it.

My uncomfortableness had been growing with him in particular and the final nail on the coffin that is ‘This guy has WEIRD fucking vibes’ is when our shift ended at the same time. He left a few minutes before I did while I went to the managers office and requested some time off. I noticed in disgust that he had put on some kind of faux matrix black leather trench coat.

When I finished up I went into the parking lot and saw him idling beside his car. I ignored him, pretending not to see him and instead focusing on getting my keys out of the abyss of my bag. His gaze never once left me and his expression remained neutral. I got into my car, stressed by his seemingly endless need to watch my every fucking move and quickly tried to exit the parking lot as smoothly as I could. I had to drive past him and I felt all sick and sticky as I could see his head slowly turn to track the movement of my car. The minute I had passed him I watched in the review mirror as he walked a few steps into the road of the parking lot and just…. STOOD THERE….. MENACINGLY….

i am going to use this weirdo moid as an example. this is guilt tripping + gaslighting at it's finest. this is something i probably would have fallen for years ago. they try to install this...odd, odd fear in attempts to get you to "their side".

i had been in the trans community for probably a decade or close to it. i had been transitioning for 6 of those years. i know all about what happens in that community and it is nothing good. most of these people assume that any radical feminist has not been on their side before or in the community itself, they just assume it. they assume you've been "stolen" or "taken" from them if someone agrees with radical feminism and they do their best to attempt to convince you you're wrong. if not convinced or you've moved away from that community they will turn on you like a snap.

in the community, females (ftm or a female identifying as another gender) are treated the same as ever -- like females everyday. the males know they hold power still, they just redirect it towards saying they are the most oppressed and the most in danger so the females should protect them and defend them. the females get abused by these males yet don't know and understand that they are. whether it's sexual, violent, or something like gaslighting. trans identified females are the most likely and are the most to still experience sexual harassment/aggression/rape/and murder from these males.

many trans identified males have been outed as pedophiles/abusers/rapists/murderers, as i am sure all of the radfem community knows, yet they are still protected and defended and are allowed to keep their status. and TiFs will STILL protect them and show respect. it's a community full of men that know they can get away with things as long as they "identified as a woman". the amount of survivors and victims in the TiF group is more than 90% from what i have seen. too many have the same shared experiences or can understand each other. TiMs will proudly just send you sexual pics. no context. they'll just send them to you. much like any other male out there in the world. but at least they aren't calling it their girl****.

this community HATES women. I had to google Moid for a solid minute or 5 to figure out what the hell Anon even meant (and even now, I’m not sure). i will say, terminology that refers to people as "-oid" is literally based in historical racism. Here's the origin (TW WIKI PAGE TALKING ABOUT SUPER RACIST STUFF) and well as sources on how it was historically used in arguments supporting Biological Determinism, a form of racism terfs also love to cite!

When the redpill and blackpill incel groups became popular with young white men, most members either started out as white supremacists, or were quickly radicalized into white supremacists. Hence, the turning of the word into "femoid" as a way to dehumanize women, as white supremacists had done to poc, primarily black people, with the original terms. (of course, they still used the original terms to refer to hot brown and black dudes stealing their Stacys, but if you mention racism against moc existing terves all explode and die of shock.)

Now, the equal and opposite group of reactionary white supremacists who happen to be women have turned THAT word, femoid, into moid. Presumably as a double-gotcha against incels since terfs SUPPOSEDLY tout themselves as being progressive. I'm not against pwning incels, but it demonstrates a key issue of the terf movement's social circles being so insular and overwhelmingly white. No one acknowledges the racist origins of the term, either because they don't know about it bc theyre white, they know and just don't care bc they and all their friends are white, or they know and care bc they're brown or black but get drowned out bc they're the only poc in their terf circle.

this lack of insight highlights exactly how conservative and reactionary terfs are a movement. Reactionary movements rely on kneejerk emotions, if you bring discussion about broader social structure, the history of race science and how it intersects with sex science, and any form of nuance into it, it collapses under it's own bendy straw legs like a bad middle school science project. which is ironically also where they get all their sex based science knowledge.
