Natasha winking at you in a meeting
Tumblr media
grey november au
-You were new to the building. Steve hired you to listen in on their meetings and take notes.
-After one of many arguments of who said what, Steve finally caved. He agreed to get someone who they vetted well to keep track.
-Now it was quite obvious you were younger than the old agents but it didn't stop the Russian spy from stealing glances at you.
-You'd be in the kitchen making coffee and turn around to the red-head inches away from you.
-Startled, you jump, nearly clashing into her. "Sorry dear, didn't mean to scare ya" she hummed, catching you in her arms.
-"O-oh, it's okay Miss Romanov, I really should be getting back to my work." You rush out of the room. Why was she everywhere you went? You could swear she was following you. But she won't do that...Would she?
-Later that day, Steve called an emergency meeting. Something about their enemies plotting a heist and they needed to stop that.
-You took your usual spot next to Steve, across from Natasha. You put your computer down on the table.
-"Alright, now that we have everyone.." Steve babbled on. You were just focused on typing. Documenting everything that was said.
-Steve stops talking for a second. You look up, Steve says "We will have Nat go in, she is the best lookin and our only chance at distracting the guard."
-You looked at Nat with doe eyes. Could Steve really do this? Why was Nat always the one who had to do their dirty work? Seducing the gross older men.
-Nat met your eyes and gave you a wink. Upon seeing your frown, she gives you a comforting smile. But you go back to your duty of typing.
-After the meeting is over, everyone has left. Well, except you and Nat. You were still typing but you're about done now. As you're getting up to leave, Nat grabs your arm.
-"Wait." She said, looking at you. You turn around, confused because Miss Romanov never makes you stay back. Did you do something wrong?
-Nat could sense your anxiety and sees you fidgeting nervously with your hoodie string. "Don't worry. You're not in trouble hun. Just wanted to make sure you're okay. You seemed upset in the meeting?" Nat question.
-You sighed "Miss Roman-" "Call me Natasha" the spy cut you off. "Natasha, it's wrong for them to treat you like this. Like- like you're just a pretty woman they can use to distract creepy men who can't keep it in their pants." You pouted, holding her hand.
-"Pretty? You think I'm pretty hm?" She teased. You were still frowning. She sighed, realizing this is what was bothering you before.
- "Okay, detka. I'll be honest with you. In this field of work, unfortunately most people will want you on missions just because youre a woman. I do lose a bunch of opportunities because of my gender but if I can help the planet then I think it's worth it." she says in a more serious tone.
-Softening her gaze when you ask her why she doesn't just quit. "It's not that simple, love." She sighed, wiping a stray tear that escaped your eye.
-You don't register you're crying until the older woman pulls you in. Embracing her warmth, she holds you close and strokes your hair. She closes her eyes, trying to remember this moment.
-That you are real and you care about her.
A/N: new possible au?? what we thinking? want more of this storyline?

I keep seeing his face | Natasha Romanoff
Tumblr media
Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Prompt: "I keep seeing his face."
masterlist | requests: closed | taglist | words: 500
You wake up to Natasha stirring besides you. Your heart breaks at the realization that she's having another nightmare. She's been having them for about a week now but hasn't wanted to share what they were about. Knowing Natasha's past, you understood her not wanting to relive the bad parts.
"Hey Nat, wake up, darling." You say while shaking her shoulder gently. "It's a nightmare, love. It's not happening right now." She shoots up, her eyes wide after waking from the nightmare.
"Hey baby, I'm here." You say while sitting up with her. She falls into your touch. You hold her tight while rubbing her back soothingly with your hand. You whisper soothing words into her ear, while she sobs in your arms.
Once she got most of her tears out, she lifted her head from your chest and stared at the wall. With a raspy voice from crying she says, "I keep seeing his face." You knew immediately who she meant, Dreykov. Your blood started to boil each time he was part of a conversation or brought up, your mind filling with what he had done to Natasha, Yelena and so many other girls all over the world.
Nat continued talking. “He appears in my dreams and he’s hurting more girls, and there’s nothing I can do. I’m just watching it happen while I stay frozen in place.” You see the guilt on her face. Gently you move her head, so she faces you, “Focus your eyes on me, it’s just you and me right here.” When her eyes focus on yours, you continue talking. “I’m so sorry that he keeps appearing in your dreams. But, baby, your nightmare is wrong. You did the exact opposite of watching while he kept doing what he did to you. You, together with Yelena, Melina and Alexei, stopped him for good. And you didn’t even stop there. You and Yelena went on to free all the Widows in the world. You’ve changed each and every one of their lives for the better.”
You were so incredibly proud of what she did with the other members of her family, and you’d always tell her how amazing what they decided to do was. She seemed to relax a little bit after being remembered of how outside of her dreams she hadn’t stood by and watched. She was actually able to help the people.
“Will you hold me while I fall asleep?” Natasha asked. Usually she was the big spoon, but sometimes she needed to be held. “Of course, my love. You know you never have to ask.”  She laid down on her side and you laid down behind her, wrapping your arm around her waist. She intertwined her fingers with yours and pulled your hand up to her chest, leading your hand to rest on her heart.
You made sure to stay awake until you were sure that she had fallen asleep. Once you heard the change in her breathing you fell asleep too.

Natasha and Yelena Headcanons (Pre-IW, established AU)
Tumblr media
(Note: the AU that I’ve established in my stories thus far revolves around an extension of time. Basically, it took Natasha longer than two weeks to receive the quinjet she did at the end of the movie. It also took Melina longer to supply Yelena with more antidote, and she only supplied her a bit at a time)
Despite her reputation of being the cold, calculated, and dangerous Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff herself is actually a HUGE softie. She only ever exposes this side of her when she is among people she trusts to expose her vulnerability too.
Natasha also has a playful and mischievous side of her. Though this is usually reserved to when she is around kids, or adults that act like kids (ie Yelena)
Yelena has a WICKED mischievous side to her. Her personality is revolved around her blunt sarcasm and child-like demeanor. She exposes this ten-fold around Natasha especially, in which she wants to play off the “stereotypical annoying little sister” with her. And usually succeeds
Natasha carries a very large guilt complex, and this can sometimes manifest as being very overprotective and overwhelming with Yelena. Usually she won’t mind, but sometimes it gets to her.
Yelena HATES being called a baby, cute, adorable, etc. She believes it destroys her “tough assassin” persona. However, she tolerates it with Natasha.
Natasha is ironically afraid of spiders. Not necessarily tiny ones, but moreso big ones. She won’t scream when she sees them but she will vicariously leave and avoid a room until it is gone.
Yelena is an absolute bed hog. She sprawls like a starfish when she’s comfortable and will take over the whole bed, kicking off the blanket from various parts of her body. She often ends up with a limb or two draped over Natasha. Natasha suspects that Yelena does this on purpose just for the physical affection but Yelena has never confirmed it
Natasha’s main love language with physical touch is hugs and forehead touches. However, she will often explore other variations of providing physical affection to Yelena such as head kisses and cuddles (anything you would see in a platonic/sisterly relationship)
Yelena puts on a very hardcore, tough-girl act and most pain won’t cause much of a reaction from her. However, she absolutely CRUMBLES when someone tickles her. Natasha knows this and will exploit this weakness whenever she wants her to stop being a brat. Yelena hates the fact that it works everytime.
Natasha is ok at cooking. She only knows a few really easy recipes that don’t require too many ingredients. However, she cannot bake worth SHIT.
Yelena can’t do either. At all. She almost burnt the place down the one time she tried making Mac and cheese by herself when Natasha was out.
Both the sisters LOVE animals. Although Natasha is more of a cat person and Yelena is a dog person. They don’t mind either though.
Yelena is severely touch deprived. When she’s not wearing one of her vests or a large coat/jacket, she is usually wrapped tightly in a blanket or hugging a pillow up to her body. If Natasha is present, she will ditch the pillow in favor of her sister.
Natasha’s go-to nicknames for Yelena are “Lena” and “Mdalshaya Sestra.” When she wants to be extra affectionate, she will call her “sestrichka” (meaning baby sis)
Yelena calls Natasha by her full name at first, but the more comfortable she got, she eventually added an honorific to her name. Her go-to nickname is “Natashka” and when she wants to be extra affectionate it’s shortened to “Tashka” (she usually uses this to get something she wants)
Both of the sisters are extremely overprotective of each other, but Yelena’s goes so far as to wanting to keep her sister safe and craving the love she has for her is actually her greatest weakness.
One of Natasha’s weaknesses is wanting to keep Yelena out of harm.
Yelena suffers from real bad nightmares and occasional night terrors. She often will kick in her sleep if it’s bad enough. Natasha will pull her closer if she catches her and tries to soothe her back down. Natasha wakes up with bruises from the kicking
Despite Yelena’s insane sleep habits, the two sisters share a bed. Natasha doesn’t mind since she is aware of Yelena’s nightmares and touch starvation. But mainly bc the couch in the front room is way too uncomfortable.
Yelena’s trauma causes her severe anxiety when it comes to her relationship with Natasha. She is always afraid of going too far or messing something up. Natasha always reassures her that she won’t leave her again.
Yelena trusts Natasha with her life
And there ya have it! Remember these HC are PRE-INFINITY WAR which means as the story progresses they are SUBJECT TO CHANGE
I may also add more as time goes on. These are based on what has already been established in the storyline and some that haven’t. I’m not done writing for “pre-iw” widow sisters but the story will be progressing to after, as well as new characters getting added 💖
Thanks for enjoying my stories. And hope you enjoy the HC! 💞🥰

The Avenger's Initiative, Chapter 15

Tumblr media
Mira’s POV
"They need to talk to you."
My eyes flickered away from Loki's as I looked to Tony, Bruce, and Natasha. Looking back to him I shook my head, 'why? I didn't do anything.'
"Miss. Daniels we wanted to talk to you about what's happened here," Tony started, sitting beside me on my bed.  I felt my breath catch in my throat at the air of superiority that surrounded him.  He looked at me through his sunglasses with a frown, "to put it simply. We want to take you away from here. We're going to take you away from here."
'I won't leave my friends.'
"Cute party trick," he smirked, looking at Loki. Then he looked at me again, "A few days ago I got a call from Capsicle. Do you know what he said?"
I shook my head.
"Are you dating Bucky Barnes?" I looked at Natasha. She raised a brow, "are you?"
I shook my head again.
"Well, Cap seems to think that you and Barnes have a relationship that is more than platonic. Is that true?"
I looked between the four avengers sitting in my room.
'Me and Bucky aren't together.'
"Has he kissed you or touched you in any way?" Dr. Banner asked me. I blushed at the question, then looked at the ground, "has any of them touched or kissed you in any way?"
I felt my heart racing as I thought of the moments where I first let Steve hold me. Then to the moments where I was in Bucky's room, and I'd fallen asleep in his arms. The moments in the kitchen when we'd kiss when we thought no one was looking.
"Wow, did not need to see that," Natasha laughed awkwardly. My eyes snapped to hers and I realized that Loki had shown them what was in my head. Reaching over I hit him hard in the chest, "well...now that we know that."
"Don't be angry at me," Loki chuckled, "I'm simply conveying your thoughts to them. Maybe you should be more conservative about your answers, pet."
"Look I don't care about the answers," Mr. Stark said with a touch of anger as he adjusted his sunglasses, "what I do care about is that it's obviously tearing the team apart. You are obviously tearing the team apart Miss. Daniels, and that’s something we cannot afford."
My eyes went wide at his accusation, 'me?'
"Yes, you," he nodded, "You've got captain America binge drinking Asgardian liquor. Bucky and Thor have become depressed. And no one ever will have any idea what the hell is wrong with reindeer games here."
'And you think I'm the problem?'
"Yes!"
"Listen, sweetie," Nat said gently, "I think all Tony is trying to say...in a very rude way, is that this isn't working. The guys should have left you alone when they figured out who you were. When Bruce informed them that you were going to be his intern."
'I don't get why I matter so much.'
"Trust me, neither do I!"
I glared at Tony.
"Here's the deal, Mira," Dr. Banner began, bringing me back to reality, "you can't stay here. This was an experiment that should not have taken place. We're taking you back to the tower, and you are going to be my personal research assistant. None of them will ever even look at you again. We chalk this up as a loss, and then we move on."
My throat felt like it was going to close, 'you think you can just buy me off? Making me your research assistant? I know what happens when you just "Chalk it up as a loss." What about my friends? What happens to them?'
"The same thing that happens with all the other ones," Tony said simply as if it were the most obvious thing in the world, "listen kid. I don't know what more you could want. We're literally handing you your dream job and all you have to do is just come with us. Without complaint."
'YOU WANT TO KILL MY FRIENDS!'
"I don't want to do anything," he replied, looking at me, "personally, I'd rather be at home, with my wife and daughter, not dealing with some high school drama that four grown men couldn't take care of because they've lost their edge."
I glared at him, unable to think any specific thought.
"Mira please!" Dr. Banner pleaded, "this is the logical way. I know you can respect that.  If nothing else, you are a woman who values science and logic.”
'It doesn't mean that I agree with it.'
Tony looked at me, "Fine. I can't force any of them to choose anyone, but I'll talk to Loki, Bucky, Thor, and Steve. If they want to take any of the girls, they can. Sam and Brittany already left, so he chose her, but if they don't take anyone, they're responsible for the clean-up. Then when we get back to the city, I force all the boys into therapy. Steve goes to rehab and Bucky and Thor see a therapist for their depression. The girls that remain will get to go to therapy as well. Under Banner of course, as he's someone that knows about this."
I looked to Loki.
"I'm taking Jade back with me."
I smiled at him. He nodded softly.
"Alright, see," Tony said looking at me, "Loki's taking one of your friends. We'll talk to the others and leave in the morning."
'I want to see my friends.'
"No!"
"Bu-"
"Now do we have a deal or not?"
'I want to see my friends first.'
"I've got an idea," he said with a grin on his face, "you choose door number 1, which is my first offer. Or you ask to see your friends again, and I just do the easiest thing...do you know what that is? I just pump you full of enough drugs to knock out a horse, take you to the city anyways, and kill all of your friends so that I don't have to deal with the headaches. What do you think, kid? Do you want to try door number two?"
I looked between the four avengers that were in front of me. While Tony looked serious about his offer, the shock on Dr. Banner's face made me want to believe that he wouldn't possibly do it.
"Tony!"
"What?" he asked, "the girl wants to go on and make deals but guess what...she's not the one in charge here. How is it that everyone gets around this girl and suddenly thinks that she's the one in charge, huh? Well time to set the record straight, princess. You're not. You know who is in charge?  It’s us!  Not you…us!  And these are your options. So, which one will it be?"
I looked to Dr. Banner, then to Nat. It was clear that she hadn't seen this side of him before either, and I felt myself not wanting to push to see how much further I could get him to go.
'Okay.'
He smiled, "see. Was that so hard? Reindeer games, go get the rest of the boys. Tell them to meet us upstairs in the living room so that we can discuss this."
Loki nodded, giving my arm a soft squeeze before disappearing. Tony stood up and without another word left my room, Dr. Banner trailing behind her.
"You made the right choice, kiddo," Nat said softly, patting my shoulder. I stood up and she wrapped her arms around me, "it'll be okay. I promise. Everything is going to be okay, alright?"
“Okay." I croaked, finally using my voice, not wanting to think anymore. She rubbed my back as I began to cry even more.
"It's okay sweetheart," she cooed, "let it out. I'm here."
Tumblr media
Thor’s POV
"We have to talk," Tony announced to us. I looked around me. Tony had come down from the city with Lady Natasha and Dr. Banner. This couldn't have been good, "I got a call from Cap, and we came to a conclusion that this group isn't going to work. Now, we've already talked to Mira. She's coming with us."
"What?" Bucky asked, looking around the room. Then his eyes settled on Captain Rogers, "of course you fucking called him. Did you tell Tony that you raped the twins too and that one tried to commit suicide?"
"Hey!" I said, trying to calm them down before they got out of hand, "let-"
"One of the girls tried to commit suicide?"
We all looked to Nat. Bucky nodded, "yeah. Steve's been having sex with the girls and moaning Mira's name. Well, the last time he did it, he grabbed the wrong twin, and raped her. She tried killing herself, but Loki got to her in time."
"Jesus," Tony groaned, shaking his head, "see this is the kind of shit that shouldn't happen. This is why we have rules in place."
"In our defense-"
"There is no defense," Tony growled at Steve, "you know the rules. You pick up a group that won't be missed. You train them under the program. You don't fucking rape them. You don't start becoming an alcoholic. If you guys didn't have the balls to see this through you should have pulled yourselves out. This is why we have a 2-session maximum. You, Bucky, and Sam were up here for six months before these girls."
"Stark I-"
"Don't even get me started on you, Thunder boy," he growled, "you and your brother have only been up here for a few weeks and you're already showing clear cut signs of depression. The only one that somehow managed to keep his head on straight is god damned reindeer games."
"I resent that by the way!"
"No one asked," he groaned, rubbing his temples, "at any rate. I told the girl that I'd make you all to therapy, and I'm sticking to that. Steve, you're going to get in-house rehab back at the tower. Bucky, Thor. You two are getting counselling for your depression."
"Aren't you forgetting something Tony?" Natasha asked quietly.
He sighed, "each of you can choose a girl. That's what I told the kid. Loki here has chosen to take Jade back to the city with him. Cap, any of the girls tickle your fancy?"
"This is bullshit," he growled, standing up, "since when do you make the decision on this huh?"
"No woman for cap," Tony nodded, "got it. Steve, sit down before you hurt yourself."
His nostrils flared as he mumbled something under his breath about calling Stark in the first place. Then he looked to me, "how about you, pointbreak?"
"No," I said gruffly, "I do not believe that I can choose."
"Okay," he nodded, "this is easier than I thought. Barnes. Do you want to take someone back to the city."
"Yeah."
"Not Mira."
"No," he said, shaking his head, "I'm going to take Kenzie back."
My eyes flickered to Steve. I saw his jaw tighten.
"Isn't that the one that-"
"Great," Tony said, cutting Nat off, "Bucky's taking Rogers' sloppy seconds. Now that we're all settled on that, we have to talk about what comes up when we get back to the city. Loki will be with us on transport when we take the girls tomorrow. Steve, Bucky, you two go with Nat and Banner. Thor, you are in charge of clean up. When we get back into the city, I will have the girls in a suite on the same floor as Nat. They will not be doing things the same as they are here. You guys are going to have limited access to them. And it only happens after you complete your therapy. Banner is also going to be having therapy sessions with them as well, and Mira is coming onboard as his personal research assistant. And let me just stress this again. No one is to touch her. Are we understood?"
Tumblr media
It wasn't long after they had drugged Mira, Jade, and Kenzie. They gave the girls a glass of champagne when midnight hit. Around 2 AM they stuffed the girls into trunks and started the drive back to the city. Bucky was nice enough to dig me a hole that I could put the bodies in before they drove off.
I went down to the basement and got the girls. Putting them in the truck, I drove down towards the hole a few miles into the woods with all the girl’s stuff. Not wanting to do it just yet, I decided on burning the girls’ things first. That way there was nothing left behind. I tied the girls up to the tree and gagged them.
Waiting was the hardest part.
Cassie woke up first, rightfully confused. Dani wasn't far behind.
It was about 3:30.
Their eyes looked at me, then to the pit, and without a word between us, I saw both of their eyes drain of life. They knew what this was.
They knew why they were here.
Cassie didn't fight me as I undid her bonds from the tree. She only cried slightly when I told her to kneel on the ground. I gathered enough electricity between my hands that would stop her heart, and I tapped her back. She convulsed for a moment before falling into the hole.
The fire was slow to lick at her skin, but by the time I had undid Dani from her bonds and had her kneeling, the smell of burning flesh was around us. I could see her close her eyes as she tried to think of anywhere else but here.
Honestly, I wished I could do the same.
"Just do it."
I looked down at her. The electricity faded from my hands. She looked up at me, tears hanging onto her lashes.
"It's okay, Thor," she whispered, "just do it."
Tumblr media
Dani’s POV
I didn't want to open my eyes at first.
Something felt off when they offered us champagne, telling us that it was New Year’s Eve. Why would the other avengers show up if we were just celebrating? If that was true, why didn't they come by during Thanksgiving? Or Christmas?
I put two and two together after I tasted it. There was a numbness that hit my tongue and made me feel weak within minutes. As my eyes fluttered closed, I remembered seeing my door open. Thor had come in. But just past him Bucky was carrying my sister over his shoulder and Loki walked by with Jade in his arms.
"It'll all be over soon," his voice said softly. I found myself leaning into his hand as it brushed against my cheek, "rest, Lady Danielle."
When I did finally open my eyes, I noticed a fire in a hole. It smelled like cheap plastic all around us. I felt my breathing get shorter as I realized what this was. Thor was sitting on the ground watching the fire, not paying us much mind. When he caught that we were awake he gave a sigh and untied Cassie. She looked at me, completely horrified, then to him.
"Kneel."
She looked back up at him and I saw the tears fall from his eyes as she positioned her in front of the hole. She began to cry as he moved behind her. She looked up into my eyes and I watched as a small blue light pulsed through her when Thor touched her back.
Cassie convulsed and fell forward into the hole.
I shuddered.
Then he came towards me.
It was my turn.
I wanted to fight back. To beg him that I wanted to live...but everything failed me. I couldn't speak. I could only numbly move towards the hole.
I tried to stop the tears, but it didn't work. As he untied me, I couldn't help but think of everything we'd been through in the two months we were at the lake house. How rude I'd been to Brittany and Mira. How I never told Kenzie I was sorry that Steve raped her in my place. How Steve had raped me. How none of them knew that I actually cared.
As he pushed me to my knees in front of the hole, I noticed the fire had started in on Cassie. Her lifeless eyes stared up at me as a horrible smell hit my nose. Burning skin and hair. Her tears almost looked like a painted glass as the sizzled away on her cheeks.
I closed my eyes, not wanting to think that in just a few short minutes that too would be my fate. When nothing came, I opened my eyes.
"Just do it."
I heard the sizzling of electricity around me, and then nothing. The only sounds were from the crickets chirping in the forest and the flames that were now taking Cassie, crackling in the hole below me.
"It's okay Thor," I whispered, tears coming down my cheeks, "just do it."
When nothing happened, I looked behind me. He had pushed himself away from the hole and was looking at the ground where his feet were.
He was sitting against the tree a few feet away, just staring at me.
"Lady Danielle," he murmured, holding his head in his hands. He began shaking his head, "I thought that this would be easier, but I cannot end you. I do not want to end you."
"It's okay," I sighed, shaking my head, "I-I deserve it."
"What are you talking about?" I looked up into his eyes. He was shocked. He crawled towards me until he was right next to me, "Lady Danielle. You deserve none of this."
He wiped the tears from my face, and he pulled me to his chest as I sobbed.
"I've been terrible...to my sister...to my friends. My family. All I've ever done is fuck up because I know they'll forgive it."
He pulled away from me and I could see the tears welling up in his own eyes, "you are worthy of love, Lady Danielle. You are not a failure. This is not the fate that you deserve. You deserve the world."
"Th-"
But my words were cut off by his lips. Closing my eyes and giving in, I ignored the salt from our tears that had attempted to ruin the passion being transferred between our lips. Deep breaths and tight grasps. I felt his hands on my back, holding me to him as if I were the last real thing in his life.
When he broke away, he was breathless, "I cannot end your life, Lady Danielle. I cannot bear to see you fall away because of my touch."
"Thor, I-"
"I want to choose you," he admitted, nodding his head, "I could not say it then when Stark had asked, but I feel a certain way about you. I am reminded of my own struggles."
"If you're trying to save me because of your own mista-"
"No," he sighed, cutting me off, "I want to save you because of how I feel. How I see you. I want to take you back with me."
"How do you know you really want me?" I asked, "How do I know that this is real?"
"I'll wait here for a week," he said quickly, "at the lake house. I'll give you anything you desire. Money. Jewels. Whatever you wish. I'll let you leave with it...if you come back to me in a week, I know that you want me too. If-If you don't, then I won't come looking for you. I'll let you go...all I know is that I can't kill you."
"You'd let me go?"
He nodded.
"What if I went to the cops?" I asked, "what if I told them everything that's been going on? I know that they took the others with them to the city. I could-I could ruin you. And the rest of the avengers."
"And I would die trying to protect you from them should they realize you were alive."
I took a sharp, deep breath, "you'd be willing to let me do that?"
"I want to choose you," he replied, taking my hands in his own, "but I want it to be your choice. I don't want to do this game that Tony has set up. I want my future wife to choose me because of the man she knows I am with her by my side. I won't force you to say yes to me, Lady Danielle."
"I'm not going."
He looked at me, eyes wide, "you're no-"
"I'm not leaving you," I rushed, cutting him off, "if you're being honest...that you would let me expose the Avengers for what they've done...I can't ignore that...I can't ignore the way I want to react to you."
"And how is that, Lady Danielle?"
"I could tell you," I sighed dreamily, leaning in against him, "or I could help you bury this dead whore and I can show you."

Captain America: The Winter Soldier: 1:29:03
Well, shit. A goddamn nuke, and still that stupid blonde managed to escape. “Call in the asset,” Rumlow muttered in his earpiece.                                                                                                                             “He’s unstable. Erratic,” the asset’s supervisor warned Pierce and the STRIKE team as they headed inside, though Pierce wasn’t phased by the words. The asset had been unstable many times. He’d remembered his past life many times, he had lashed out many times; each time, thinking that just because he remembered a few moments of his past life, just enough to make him question his present circumstances, he suddenly had the capability to escape. Unstable was nothing new. “That man on the bridge… who was he?” The once named Bucky Barnes asked, his eyes full of fear, confusion, and desperation as he was the first one to speak. “You met him earlier this week on another assignment,” Pierce answered. His tone was honest, yet omitting. The asset’s face fell in slight disappointment, though his eyes wondered, darting around as the thoughts in his mind went wild. “I knew him,” he spoke, his eyes lifting to look the man in power in the eyes. He yearned for truth, he knew there was something being kept from him and he wanted to know what it was – the only issue being he didn’t know how to ask. Without breaking eye contact, Pierce grabbed the small wheeled stool that the technicians sat on to work on the asset’s metal arm. He sat and studied the man in front of him for a few moments, taking in how emotional he’d become. The man’s eyes fell again, unmoving but not staring at anything specific. “Your work has been a gift to mankind,” Pierce finally responded, turning the conversation away from Captain Rogers. “You shaped the century.” His tone was proud; he needed the asset to know he should be proud of the work he had done, not doubting everything as he was. The asset’s brows furrowed. This wasn’t what he wanted, this wasn’t the response he wanted. Somehow, it was the response he was anticipating – he knew he’d never get the truth. Instead, it was just another speech that was probably off of a 40 year old scrap paper. “And I need you to do it one more time,” Pierce continued.                                                                                                                             One more time. Pierce wasn’t being persuasive. He let slip that that the asset’s usefulness expired after one more mission. “You did a great job,” Pierce said flatly, with his gun pointed toward the asset. “Truly. I’m very thankful for you.” His words were kind, yet the asset, who was apparently named ‘Bucky,’ could only interpret that the man in front of him believed he was the one who did the great work, Bucky was merely used as nothing more than a stepping stone on a one-way trail. So what was the dramatic moment of gratuity for? “HYDRA has complete control, all thanks to you,” he continued. “And we no longer need your service.”
Bang!
Bucky had been anticipating the shot since Pierce approached him. The bullet pierced his chest and – he didn’t stop it. How easy it would have been for him to side-step, or use his arm as a shield. Instead, he stayed put, knowing full well of the consequence. Death. But was that really the worst thing? After everything he’d endured? Maybe, if he did successfully escape, he could have a better life… However, he knew of the last few days – what of the last few decades? Was being alive really something that he could live with? Maybe. Maybe not. Probably not. Why bother? He'd had enough suffering for many lifetimes. So he took the bullet. Time seemed to slow as the bullet pierced his skin and wedged itself between his organs. He looked down at the hole in his abdomen, the blood staining his uniform. It was okay, he’d never wear it again, even if he lived. His eyes lifted to meet that of his shooter, his captive. His left leg buckled from under him, and as he went to take a step back, he found that there was no more floor for his feet to land on. He fell backward off of the helicarrier, spiraling down toward the water beneath him. He remembered roughly hitting the water, the light slowly disappearing, and feeling cold. After that… he was gone. As he lay on the sandy floor beneath the water, blood still spilling out of his wound and into the water, a curious red-headed mermaid swam up to him, investigating the unusual visitor in her homeland. She recognized that he was injured, though she wasn’t quite sure how to treat someone who looked so different than her. “You must be a land swimmer,” she murmured more to herself than to him. “I’ve never seen one of you up close before.”

I Wanna Be In Love
Tumblr media
Summary: Soulmates were overrated. They added nothing to the world besides seeing color which wasn't important to Yelena but every time she sees her family with their soul mates she can't help but feel jealous. A little trip to a small town to clear her head, she wasn't expecting to see the world in color.
Warning: soulmate AU, fluff, violence, gun shots, mention of past abuse, mention of killing, cult, injuries, blood, kidnapping?
Word Count: 6.2k
Soulmates were overrated. Yelena was too busy to find her soulmate. They were distractions, and she didn’t need to see color for her job. She didn’t care that she couldn’t see the color of Fanny’s fur or the flowers in Melina’s garden. It didn’t bother her that she had to watch everyone around her interact with their soulmate and see the world in color. She was fine. Those were the thoughts that Yelena kept running through her mind. Every. Single. Day. She crossed paths with many people: Red Room missions, contract work with Valentina, and now her time with the Avengers. Still, her vision remained in black and white. “Are you okay?” Kate asked, sitting down next to her. Yelena was sipping coffee, watching her sister and Maria in the kitchen. Maria was cooking a simple meal for lunch, and it smelt amazing. It would have been done by now, but Natasha kept distracting her. She wrapped her arms around the brunette’s waist or spun her around to kiss her. It was gross. It’s cute but gross.
“I’m fine,” The archer chuckled.
“Yeah, sure, because you look like you’re going to murder your sister,” Yelena sighed, staring into the coffee. “Do you want advice or for me to leave you alone?” The blonde shrugged. Even Kate found her soulmate, a girl she met in college. She was nice. Yelena liked her.
“I want,” Yelena paused, struggling to find the words. Her sister’s laughter caught her attention. This time, Maria had her arms around the redhead, tickling at her sides. A deep ache filled Yelena, a tightness in her chest. “To be in love.” She admitted. Yelena grabbed her coffee and left the archer to get a word out.
*
Yelena needed to go for a drive. So she packed a few things in her truck for her and Fanny and left the compound. She told her sister and Kate that she needed a small break from missions. They knew an underlying reason for her leaving, but they didn’t question it. Yelena drove with the radio softly on, her best friend in the passenger seat, and no destination in mind. She tried to date, ignoring the soulmate and forcing a relationship to work, but they never did. There was no spark, no flip in her stomach, and her heart didn’t skip. So the relationship ended, and Yelena was left with the constant wonder of what it would feel like to be in love. She wanted the daydreams, jealousy, and all the little things that came with yearning. She wanted the warmth to flood her head.
Her Bluetooth ringing cut through the song she was listening to and her racing thoughts. It was Natasha. With a sigh, she answered the call. “The world better be on fire right now.”
“Ha, ha, ha, very funny,” Yelena rolled her eyes, offering Fanny some pets as she got excited from hearing Natasha’s voice. “The world is above to be covered in ice and snow,” Yelena frowned. “There is a winter storm warning. You picked a horrible time to go on a self-reflection journey.” The blonde looked at the sky. It was cloudy, and she did notice the temperature dropping. “Where are you?”
“No idea,” she shrugged.
“Sestra…” Natasha sighed.
“I just passed an existing sign for a small town,” the blonde said. “I’ll stop there and wait out the weather.” Yelena could see the tension leaving her sister’s shoulders.
“Okay, text me when you get somewhere safe.” The two Black Widow sisters said their goodbyes, and Yelena sighed when the call ended. This was not part of her plan.
*
The town of Chester was the spitting image of one of those towns in the cheesy Christmas movies Kate forced her to watch. A mountain that was blanked with snow set the background. The buildings were brick, and a bell tower was at the center of the town. It was cute - peaceful even. A little too friendly as Yelena got out of her truck and was greeted with a smile or wave from those walking on the sidewalk. She put a leash on Fanny’s collar. The American Akita was great off-leash, but the duo was in a new place, and she wasn’t sure how the town felt about a random dog. She put her backpack on and headed to the hotel. It was a quick Google search to determine if the hotel was pet-friendly. The hotel lobby was warm to the point Yelena unzipped her jacket. It was coming from the fireplace with couches and tables around it. It reminded Yelena of the lob cabin that Tony built. The place felt homey. She walked over to the front desk, holding onto Fanny’s leash tightly.
“What a beautiful dog,” her name tag said Linda. “What’s her name?”
“Uh, Fanny,” Yelena said. She was surprised the older woman didn’t bat an eye at her accent. The Akita sat down. “I was wondering if you have any available rooms.” Linda turned to face her computer.
“How long do you plan on staying?” That was a great question.
“Not sure,” she raised a questioning eyebrow at the blonde. “I needed a break from work.” Fanny tugged at the leash as Linda gave her an understanding smile.
“I understand that, dear. I need a card to put on file, and I’ll get you all checked in.” Another tug from Fanny’s leash. Odd. As Yelena went to pull out her wallet, Fanny tugged again, and the lease left Yelena’s hand.
“Fanny,” she called out to her dog. “I’m so sorry. Give me one second.” Yelena chased after the dog, who was circling a guest. You were holding a few books and laughing as you tried to move around Fanny’s leash. “I’m so sorry. Fanny, prikhodit’ (come).” The dog stopped and sat next to her owner. You giggled, finally looking up at the Black Widow. The air was knocked out of Yelena’s lungs. Color. She was the color of the wooden lobby she was standing in, the color of the books you held, and your shirt. “Purple,” she whispered. “Your shirt is purple, right?” Natasha loved to spend hours describing colors in words that Yelena could understand. You seemed just as stunned. Your mouth kept opening and closing.
“Yeah,” you said, licking your lips. “I mean, that’s what people tell me.” Your eyes locked with hers. “Green,” you whispered. “Your eyes are green.” Yelena knew that. Natasha spent a whole day describing the colors of her eyes. “I’m Y/n,” Yelena whispered your name back.
“Yelena. It’s nice to meet you.”
*
The Black Widow was sure she would pace a hole into the floor while Fanny lay on the bed. She spent 20 minutes staring at her reflection. The green of her eyes. Her blonde hair. The colors of the ringers that laced her fingers. She spent the next 10 minutes scrolling through her photos. She saw the red of her sister’s hair, the blue of Kate’s eyes, and the color of the pigs at Melina’s farm. She saw color, and it was beautiful. She opened the text message chain with Natasha. ‘Found a place to stay,’ ‘All checked in,’ ‘Call me when you can.’ She stared at the messages as the minutes clicked by. Finally, her phone rang, but it wasn’t her sister’s voice. “Hello,” Kate said.
“Where’s Natasha?”
“Yelling at Tony and Steve,” the blonde called, hearing the faint yelling in the background. Yelena sat on the bed. Immediately, Fanny rested her head on her lap. She ran her fingers through her white and brown tinted fur.
“Do I need to come back?”
“Nah, she’s got it covered. So what’s up?” Yelena closed her eyes, pinching the bridge of her nose.
“I found her,” she whispered. “I can see color.” The archer was silent on the other end. She wondered if the call dropped, but she did hear rustling on the other end. “Kate Bishop,” Yelena spoke slowly.
“Sorry,” Kate sighed. “Tell us everything.”
*
This was normal. You were outside your newly found soulmates’ room with sweets and a hot chocolate tray. It was normal that you raced home, had a minor panic attack, changed into something cuter, and begged Linda to get Yelena’s room number. Completely normal. Before you lost your nerve, you knocked on the door. You heard movement on the other side, and the door finally opened. Her confused face morphed into a smile. “Hi,”
“Hi,” you said, a little out of breath. Her eyes were memorizing. They were a gorgeous shade of green. You realized you were staring, and your body felt warm from embarrassment. “I don’t know what I’m doing,” you admitted. “But I brought hot chocolate, and maybe we can talk.” Her smile grew.
“Yeah, let me take this for you,” she took the tray from you and held open the door to her room. She set the tray on the table, and you shut the door. Her dog jumped from her spot and ran over to you. You knelt to pet her.
“You are a gorgeous, gorgeous girl,” she rewarded you with a few kisses. You looked at Yelena, who was holding one of the mugs and had a fond smile on her face. “Sorry.”
“Please don’t apologize; it’s cute.” Her statement made you feel even more embarrassed. You stood up, taking the mug she offered. “Do you want to sit here or on the bed, or we can stand,” you giggled. Her cheeks blushed a light pink. “I also have no idea what I’m doing.”
“We can sit here and talk,” you said, sat at the table, and decorated the top of your drink with marshmallows and sprinkles. She sat down next to you, sipping the hot chocolate.
“This is good,” you smiled at her praise. “So tell me about yourself.” You did. You were working at the library while studying to get your degree in environmental science. You’ve lived in Chester for seven years. “Where did you live before this?” You felt your blood turn cold. She was your soulmate, destined to be together or some shit. She would understand, right?
“Uh, Florida,” you sipped on your hot chocolate.
“Florida?” She questioned. “You left the sunshine state for eternal winter.” You giggled.
“Complicated on why I left,” you looked out her window. The snow was coming down harder. “Besides, I love the snow.” Snow meant you weren’t a prisoner. Snow told you escaped. Snow meant freedom.
“Do you need to head out before it gets worse?”
“Kicking me out already?” You teased. Her eyes widened. “I’m kidding. I can leave if you want me to.” She shook her head.
“No, stay, please.”
“Okay,” you smiled. “So why did you choose to study environmental science?” You spent the next few hours learning about one another. It got close to dinner time, so Yelena ordered room service to her room. It was a simple plate of burgers and fries that you tried to help pay for, but she refused your money. It was oddly lovely learning about the Avenger, significantly since you believed you’d never find your soulmate. You spent your entire life trapped on your father’s property, hidden from the world. Until you saved enough money and ran, ran, and ran some more. This small town of Chester welcomed you and didn’t question your mysterious past.
You found yourself laughing at a story Yelena was telling you. “Why did you fill her entire room with rubber ducks?” You asked once your laughter died down. Yelena smiled
“Kate Bishop, Peter Parker, and I are involved in a serious prank war,” she explained. “She died my suits hot pink, so I filled her room with 500 rubber ducks.” You giggled, glancing at the clock. It was almost 10 o’clock.
“I should get going,” you said. “You’ve had a long day of traveling.” Something flashed in her green eyes that you missed, but she smiled.
“Yeah, it’s probably for the best.” You helped her clean up the food and put the extra in her fridge. You gave Fanny extra belly rubs before Yelena walked you to the door. “Here,” she handed you a piece of paper with her number. “I should have given you this when we met,” you giggled, putting it in your pocket, then slipped your jacket on.
“I could have done the same,” you began to play with the ring on your finger. It was a gift from your mother. “There is a diner in town that serves amazing breakfast. Do you want to meet there in the morning?” Her smile grew.
“I’d love to. Text me the name,” you nodded. There was this awkward pass between you and her, unsure of how to end this. “You could stay,” she whispered. “Because of the weather.” She added on quickly. You wanted to. Some of you wanted to know what it felt like to be held in her arms, or would she want you to hold her? You sighed.
“I want to, but I shouldn’t. We should take this slow.” Yelena nodded, slipping her hands in her pockets and looking down at her feet. You gathered up some courage and took a step forward in her space. Gently, you lifted her head and kissed her cheek. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Yeah,” her cheeks were flushed. “Yeah, I’ll see you tomorrow.” You smiled and turned to leave, but her hand grabbed yours, spun you back around, and connected her lips with yours. You tensed up, not expecting her to kiss you. She pulled away. “I’m sorry. I don’t know what came over me. I’ve been thinking about-” You cut her off with a kiss. The feeling of her lips on yours was a feeling you would get addicted to. You moved your hands to cup her cheeks and pulled her closer. Fanny barked, and it startled you apart. Yelena groaned, her head falling onto your shoulder. You chuckled.
“I’ll text you when I’m back safe, okay?” You kissed her one more time before leaving her room. You rested your back on the closed door, touching your fingers to your lips. They tingled as you still felt her lips against yours. Smiling, you left the hotel and walked back to your apartment.
*
‘I’m back. It was amazing getting to know you. See you in the morning.’ Yelena smiled at her phone. “Ooo, it’s that the new boo,” Natasha teased. Yelena groaned, flopping onto her back while on a video call with her sister. “When do we get to meet her?
“I do not know,” Yelena sighed. “She’s lived here for seven years. I can’t force her to leave.” But Yelena was worried about the life you left behind, the life you weren’t discussing. You gave no details - Yelena wasn’t stupid, though. She was a former Red Room assassin, a hired gun, and now an Avenger. She made it this far because she listened to her instincts. You were scared.
“You have your thinking face on,” the blonde rolled her eyes. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” she said, but she knew Natasha did not believe her. She could use her connections to discover the truth, but that was a breach of trust. “I’m going to bed. It’s been a long day. I’ll talk to you tomorrow, sestra.” The two sisters said goodnight, and Yelena set her alarm for the morning. She put her phone on the nightstand and cuddled up with Fanny. The dog rested her head on Yelena’s chest. “How did you know?” She asked, scratching her head. “Or did you just find her cute?” Fanny liked her hand. “You are a great wingdog.” She chuckled and closed her eyes. It was a busy day, and sleep found her quickly.
*
The smell of coffee and cinnamon filled your senses as you opened the door to The Lighthouse. It was warm, a stark contrast to the temperatures outside. You saw Yelena in the corner, back to the kitchen, and she faced the door. Smiling, you walked over to her. “Hi,” you said, removing your scarf and placing it on the hook. “I hope you weren’t waiting long.” She shook her head as she stood up, helped you out of your jacket, and hung it up.
“I wasn’t,” you sat down. “I just ordered some coffee.” You grabbed her hand, running your thumb over her knuckles. She smiled at the gesture. You determined you loved making her smile. “Now tell me what to get.”
You ordered the waffles with strawberries on top, and Yelena got the pancakes with scrambled eggs. Once breakfast was done, you argued with Yelena about who would pay (you won) and went back to the hotel room to get Fanny. You showed them around your tiny home, the best views of the mountains, where the kids went ice skating, and the route for the parade for every major holiday.
You sat on a bench near the park, watching Fanny run around in the snow. Your head was resting on Yelena’s shoulder, fingers intertwined with hers. “How long are you staying here?” You felt her shoulders move up and down as she sighed.
“Not sure,” she kissed the top of your head. “As long as I can, but we’ll figure it out, okay?”
“Yeah,” you smiled. ‘We’ll figure it out.”
*
Yelena should have known better. Her happiness would get stripped away as soon as the world was kind to her. It happened when she was six and blipped, resulting in her losing five years. It was not a surprise when she found her soulmate; Avenger duties would call. You were very understanding, but Yelena could see the disappointment on your face as you said goodbye to her and Fanny. The Black Would promised to call and visit as soon as possible. You kissed her softly, telling her to stay safe. It was one of the hardest goodbyes she had to make. Her teammates knew she was upset when she returned to the compound after being away for four days. But she had an obligation, an annoying obligation, but an obligation nonetheless. So she was on a mission with your lips on hers, the phantom feeling of your fingers playing with her rings, and your smile on her mind. It was those things, and the promise to see you kept her going.
*
Yelena dropped her bag to the ground as soon as she entered her room. Her body ached, and she screamed for a day off. She returned from a two-month deep undercover mission. That type of work was her favorite; convincing the people around her she was someone else was thrilling, but she was glad to be home. The bad guys were caught, and it was time to relax. She lay on her bed and pulled out her phone. There was limited contact, so it was quick text messages between you and Yelena. No phone calls meant Yelena was dying to hear your voice, but she knew you were at work. She sent a quick test, ‘Back home. Call me when you’re done. Miss you.’ She ensured her ringer was up before setting it on her side table. Sleep was quick to follow the Black Widow.
The shrill sound of her phone ringing woke her up. Though her eyes were laced with sleep, she didn’t recognize the number. “Hello?” She answered.
“Hi, this is Miss. Yelena, right?” The blonde sat up.
“Speaking, can I ask whose calling?” She knew that voice, but her sleep-deprived brain had trouble connecting.
“Oh, I’m sorry, it’s Linda, the owner of the Woodland Hotel. I do apologize for intruding, and I got your number from when you checked in,” Linda explained. “Oh, this is a complete breach of privacy.”
“Linda,” Yelena cut off her nervous rambling. “What’s wrong?”
“It’s Y/n,” the owner of the hotel said. The blonde was quick to her feet, still wearing the clothes she returned in, and walked over to her room. “She is going to kill me when she finds out I called you.”
“Is she in danger?” She took the stairs two at a time to get to her sister’s room and banged on the door. Maria opened the door, and she pushed past her sister’s girlfriend.
“Yes,” Linda said. “You need to get Chester quickly.”
*
Your hands wouldn’t stop shaking as you walked the typical streets of Chester, where you once felt safe. They were here. You weren’t sure how your father’s me found you, but they did. They were waiting - they sat at the diner you and Yelena ate at or checked in at the Woodland Hotel. But you weren’t sure what they were waiting for, so you were trapped. You took your keys out of your bag and unlocked the door, quickly going in and locking the door. You made a beeline for your bedroom, slamming the door closed and pushing our dresser in front of it. Dumping the contents of your bag on your bed, you find your phone and see the missed message from Yelena. You hesitated on calling the blonde. This was your mess, and she had just returned from a mission. With a sigh, you hit the call button. “Sweetheart,” you sounded panicked.
“Hi baby,” you tried to keep your voice steady, but you knew she heard it. “I’m in a little bit of trouble.” She laughed.
“I know,” she knew? She knew? How the hell-oh you were going to kill Linda. “I’m almost there. Where are you?”
“My apartment,” you walked into your closet and used your thumb to open up a small gun safe. “Front door is locked, and I pushed my dresser against my bedroom door,” you felt oddly calm. Something about hearing Yelena’s voice made you believe you would be okay. You loaded the pistol and put two extra magazines in your back pocket. “There are 5 of them. Probably armored with an assault rifle, pistol, and a knife.” You grabbed the knife that your father gave you for your 5th birthday. The man was a leader of a religious doomsday cult; he taught you how to be around weapons. “They are only here to capture me, but they’ll kill anyone in their way.” Yelena was quiet.
“Impressive,” you chuckled, putting the phone on speaker.
“I’ve been running from them for a long time,” you said, removing your shirt and putting on a bulletproof vest.
“Who are they?” A voice you didn’t know asked. “Natasha.” Damn, she was bringing the cavalry. You toed off your sneakers and wore combat boots and a new long-sleeved shirt.
“They call themselves the Arms,” you sighed. This was not how you wanted to tell her. “They are part of the security for my father.”
“And who is your father?” Another voice asked. “Kate.” She added on. You closed your eyes.
“Vincent Pierce.”
“Vincent Pierce,” a new voice repeated, and you knew the name. “Your soulmate is the daughter of a man on the FBI and Shield’s most wanted list.” You chuckled darkly.
“She didn’t know,” you said. “Not something I like to talk about on the first date.” You got Kate to laugh. “If I get out of this, I’ll help you put the son of a bitch in jail.”
“Not if,” Yelena said. You heard her take you off speaker and walk away. “When you get out of this.” You sighed. She was so unaware of the power your father had.
“Lena, if-”
“No,” she snapped. “We are 15 minutes out.” You heard a bang on your front door. “Do you have a weapon?”
“Pistol and a knife. I have two extra magazines.” Another bang forced you to stand up and undo the safety of the gun. You were so tired of the power that man had over you. You’ve been free from him for years, but you should have known better. His power was like a vice grip on your neck as long as he was alive. You were squeezing until you couldn’t breathe. It was so unfair.
Everyone dreamed of finding their soulmate and having that happily ever after. Your mom talked about finding hers one day. She spent her entire life seeing the world in black and white. “I love you,” Yelena laughed.
“Say that again when your life isn’t threatened,” she said. “Promise?”
“Promise.” You were going to keep that promise.
*
The small town of Chester erupted into chaos as the sounds of gunshots came from your apartment. You told Yelena there were only 2 of them before the line went dead, so they were missing 3. Kate and Yelena ran towards your apartment. She didn’t expect the second time being here to save you from your cult leader father’s minions.
The front door was on the ground, and Yelena already had her gun out. It was too quiet for her, and a man was lying face down in a pool of blood. The archer walked over and checked his pulse. She shook her head. They moved into your room and saw another body, and you were barely holding yourself up. Panic filled Yelena as she rushed over to you. “I’m fine,” you said. She saw no blood, but she pulled up your shirt and stared at the bulletproof vest that saved your life.
“Oh, dorogoy (sweetheart),” you chuckled, and Yelena kissed you so intensely that the world around her was drowned out until Kate cleared her throat.
“I love this for both of you,” the archer smiled. Yelena felt you burrow your face in the crook of her neck. “But I think we should get a move on.” The Black Widow sighed.
“Your right,” Yelena said. “Sorry.” Kate shrugged.
“Give me a second,” Yelena reluctantly let you go, and you walked into your closet, taking off the ripped shirt and the bulletproof vest. You grabbed a sweatshirt before turning around to face them, making sure it covered the pistol that was attached to your hip. The blonde could see a bruise forming on your stomach. “I’m down to one magazine,” you checked your gun.
“I have an extra one you can have,” Yelena told you. “We have her.” She said through the coms. Kate handed you an extra one to put in your ear.
“2 of the men have been dealt with,” Kate added.
“Do we have eyes on the other 3? You asked. Yelena was impressed. You were handling this well, almost as if you were a shield agent. Once this was over, she could convince you to join the team.
‘Negative,’ Natasha said as Yelena led the group down the stairs and out your apartment door. The town was quiet. It was up to Maria to get all the civilizations back inside their house. ‘Has anyone seen or heard from Maria?’
“No,” Yelena answered her sister. “Do you want us to look for her or meet at the Randevu point?” The redhead sighed, and Yelena knew the internal debate she was having.
‘Get your girl to safety,’ Yelenafelt you grab her hand. Her girl. Her soulmate - who was still in danger and needed to get out of this place.
“Little bunny,” you froze, feet stopping in the snow. Yelena looked towards the direction of the voice. Vincent Pierce was decked out in his signature red suit, and 2 men were on either side. The color drained from your face. “Little bunny, it’s time to come home.”
*
“Little bunny, it’s time to come home,” the nickname made the little food in your stomach flip. It was once a name that provided comfort, a sign of love, but like everything your father touched, it turned to poison. You dropped Yelena’s hand and faced him. Now that you could see color, the suit was hideous - aviator glasses on and his hair slicked back with gel. “My, my, my,” he took off the sunglasses and handed them to the man on his left. “You’ve grown up.”
“It’s been a while, but I don’t have time for a family reunion. I have somewhere important to be.” You grabbed Yelena’s hand and began to walk away, but the sound of assault rifles being pointed at you caused the three of you to stop.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” he said. “Bring you out.” You spun around quickly to see the third man drag a woman. She was handcuffed, and they pushed her down to her knees in front of your father.
“Maria,” you looked at Kate. There was blood dripping down the side of her head. She was pissed, but at least she was alive. You heard Natasha mutter something in Russia.
“She a friend of yours,” your father taunted.
“Let her go,” you held up your arms to stop Yelena and Kate.
“Stop,” you said to all three of them. This had to be done carefully, or they would all go home in body bags. “What do you want, Vincent? She has nothing to do with this.” You pointed to Maria.
“She does, little bunny because she and the other Avengers are keeping you away from me,” of course. The man was obsessed with control. You were surprised he’d kept you alive this long.
‘Keep him talking,’ Natasha said. ‘I’m almost in position.’ You could do that. He loved to talk.
“Why do you want me to go with you so bad?” You questioned. “Don’t you have enough people under your control?”
“Because you are my daughter,” you scuffed. You were a pawn, another tool used so he could convince others to join him. The same went for your mom. “And I’m the only one who can protect you from the Rapture.” You rolled your eyes.
“I’m not a little girl anymore that will feed into your lies,” you took a deep breath. “I see right through them just like mom did.” You knew bringing her up would strike a nerve. His jaw clenched.
“Your mother was a nonbeliever,” he repeated the same lie. “She was a danger to the cult and you.”
“We need to end this,” Yelena mumbled. “The three min’ony (minions) are getting antsy.” They were. You saw their posture change.
“No,” you said, your hand grazing the pistol on your hip. “You killed her because she wanted to leave. You killed her,” you grabbed your pistol and ignored the way Yelena tried to warn you. “Natasha, get ready,” you mumbled. “Just like how I’m going to kill you.” You drew your pistol at him. Immediately, three assault rifles were pointed at you, and Kate and Yelena drew their weapons. When you fled your father’s prison, you bounced between roadside motels, and every night, without fail, there would be an old Western movie would be on TV. You felt like you were in one now. Maria sat up straighter, fidgeting with the cuffs on her wrist. Your father smiled.
“You won’t kill me,” you undid the safety on the gun. “You don’t have the guts, the strength. That’s the one thing I couldn’t beat into you,” your palm began to feel sweaty. It took weeks for some of the bruises to fade. “You are a weak, spineless little girl, just like your mother.” Oh, you wanted to kill the bastard, but you couldn’t. So you lowered your gun.
“Your right,” you said. You saw Maria nod her head. “I can’t kill you.” You smiled. “But my friend can hurt you. We still need to find the people you’ve held hostage.” It happened rather quickly. A single shot ran through the small town, and a bullet hit your father in the leg. Kate hit the man on the left, and Yelena shot the man on the right. Which left the man that brought Maria out; the brunette kicked her leg out and tripped the man. She jumped up, grabbed him by his winter coat, and punched him until he stopped moving.
The snow crunched below on your feet as you approached your father. There was red staining the snow. “Are you alright?” Yelena asked Maria. The brunette nodded.
“You know, I just had to dislocate my thumbs to break free,” you chuckled, but your eyes remained on the man. He was clenching his leg, which had the bullet wound in it.
“Don’t just stand there, you bitch,” he hissed. “Do something before I bleed out.”
“You don’t get to speak to her like that,” Yelena pulled her pistol on her. “You have no power over her.” There was a small part in you that wanted her to pull the trigger, to kill the monster that haunted your dreams, but it wouldn’t end it. Another one of his men would take his spot. You stepped before her, back to your father, and wrapped your arms around her body.
“Don’t,” you whispered, kissing her neck. “He’s not worth it.” Vincent laughed. The sound caused goosebumps to cover your skin.
“You found her,” you turned to face him as Kate forced the man up and handcuffed him. “You found your soulmate. How adorable.” He lunged forward, but Kate held him back. “Just because I’ll be locked away, this won’t end. The Rapture -” The archer punched him and fell back into the snow.
“That man needs to learn to shut up,” she shook her hand. “He’s got a hard jaw.” You laughed as you heard the sound of hurried footsteps against the snow. A redhead ran over to Maria, wrapping her arms around her; the force lifted her slightly. You smiled at the sight. Yelena tilted your head to look at her.
“Say it,” she whispered.
“I love you, Yelena Belova.” You said without hesitation. Yeah, it was good to keep your promise.
*
“We found it,” Maria placed the file on the table before you. You were at the Avenger’s Compound. It didn’t take much convincing for you to make a move until your father was prosecuted and sent to the RAFT. You’ve helped Maria bring down The True Creed for the past week. It was tasking, all the things you had to relive that you wanted to forget. Fanny stood up from her spot underneath the table and rested her head on your lap. The American Akita was your source of comfort when Yelena wasn’t around. Inside the folder were SHIELD agents raiding your father’s compound. “We are working with local officials to get everyone home safe and the help they need to recover.”
“It’s over?” You questioned, looking at the deputy director. She smiled, placing a comforting on your shoulder.
“It’s over. Your father or his men can’t hurt you or anyone else.” You let out a shaky breath. You never thought you would see this day. Freedom. You could go anywhere without having to look over your shoulder.
“Thank you, Maria,” you put the pictures back in the folder and handed them back to her. “I don’t know how I’ll be able to repay you.”
“Shut up,” she huffed, hitting your head with the file. “We should be thanking you.” You rubbed the back of your head with a pout. “So, what’s the plan now?” She asked. “Got to high tail it out of here and travel the world.” You laughed, scratching Fanny’s head.
“Yeah, maybe,” she hit the file against her hand.
“Well, do it. You deserve it.” You talked with her a bit about helping those under your father’s ‘brain control’ until Natasha pulled her away. She claimed that since the case was over, they could spend some time together. You smiled and looked down at the dog.
“Come on, sweet girl, let’s go find your mama,” it wasn’t hard to find the blonde. She was in the kitchen making a big pot of mac and cheese. You weren’t sure how she could stomach so much of the cheesy noddles. You wrapped your arms around her waist. Immediately, she leaned back into your embrace. “Smells good, baby,” you said, kissing her neck.
“Mmmm, it’s almost done,” she said. You kept kissing her neck. “If someone will stop distracting me.” She pushed you away playfully. Pouting, you gave her some space. It lasted 30 seconds.
“Baby, can I see your eyes?” She huffed, shook her head, and turned down the food. The color of her eyes still took your breath away. The green reminded you of chasing fireflies - their light would warm the night. Her eyes were like emeralds, like four-lead clovers; when you found them, you would have luck. Green was Mother Natures favorite color. The color was a healthy sign of love. It was unbelievable you went so long without seeing that color. “You are beautiful, Yelena Belova,” the blonde rolled her eyes.
“And you are a sap,” she teased but couldn’t fight the smile on her face. “What do you want?” You held out your hand, and she took it.
“Maria said it’s over,” her eyes lit up. “We can go anywhere we want to do.” Late nights were spent in each other’s arms, dreaming of seeing the world together. But Yelena wanted to wait until you were safe and could enjoy your time.
“Really?” She questioned. You nodded with a smile. “We are going to visit St. Petersburg first. I want to see the pigs.” You laughed as Yelena pulled you into her arms. Her lips briefly brushed against yours. “I love you, Deka.” You smiled, heart, skipping at the simple three-letter word.
“I love you too.”

Soulmates: two souls that are deeply connected and once successfully found, can communicate through their minds, no matter how far the location or language that was spoken. They were rare and many people were driven insane with the search to find their one true love but not you, you'd accepted years ago that there may never be the chance of ever finding her until fate was on your side.
It had been a beautifully mundane day. The movies like to show a romantic first meeting between two souls tied together from the depths of time, whether it be colliding in a coffee shop, running through the rain or even the hero saving someone from a villain. This was not anything like the start to your story, in fact, there were many details you couldn't remember.
Was it sunny? A Monday? Were you wearing jeans or leggings? You were completely unsure of any of these details but these were all menial with regard to the bigger picture no matter what day it was; it was the best day of your life as you met your soulmate. One minute your thoughts were your own, always described as 'hauntingly silent' by individuals who had already found their soulmates and thought back to the time before meeting their loved one.
Then the next, as you turned towards the exit of your work, your eyes hadn't even connected with her green eyes, still mesmerised by her lips as another silky voice echoed, "Oh", through your mind. It wasn't just this, as a warmth settled through your chest, not realising how empty you had been surviving through life until you finally found her, Natasha, your soulmate.
Natasha Romanoff had recently joined SHIELD when the two of you met but, she was honest about her alter ego Black Widow, as well as her past as an assassin which quickly helped to decide the dynamic of your relationship: a secret.
You were a nurse in a small hospital in the middle of nowhere, it was a surprise to you that Natasha had even found your workplace with it only being used by the locals. This fact actually aided with you being able to keep the relationship secret, you were a nobody in comparison to Natasha, no one would even look in your direction with suspicions or notice a hooded figure sneaking into your home in the middle of the night with your lack of neighbours.
At first, it had been difficult, you'd just found someone you wanted to spend every waking second with but she had to travel around the world and face dangerous missions constantly. However, thankfully with your soulmate connection, you could talk through your minds as long as you were both awake. Then as aliens attacked Earth and the Avengers were formed, you were happy to still be hidden, knowing that if anyone found out about you, they could use you against Natasha so a long-distance relationship it was.
Every single day, the two of you spoke, her words always feeling like being wrapped in a tight warm hug or when the tone changes, a seductive finger sliding down your spine.
Today, you were 5 hours into your shift at the hospital, finding a spare moment to wander down an empty corridor, hugging a report to your chest as a smile widened across your face.
You aren't lying to me, are you? your words were teasing towards Natasha but had every undertone of seriousness behind them.
Natasha had to hide her smile behind the microphone of the headpiece she wore as she was currently flying the Quinjet on the way back from a mission with the Avengers. Why would I lie to you, Milaya?
Your heartbeat quickened at the use of her nickname for you, Milaya, translating to darling, a name that often had you feeling safe and warm. It was also an easy way for Natasha to distract you from your questioning so you shook your head and tried to remain on track with your mind communication.
Please tell me, you encouraged, trying to find out if your soulmate had earned any injuries on this mission.
I'm fine, it's only a scratch on my wrist. - and bruised ribs to match the deep purple shade forming along her jaw where some asshole managed to punch her in the face, but you didn't need to know about that Natasha decided. You were at work and didn't need the distraction.
Hmm fine, I'll believe you for now but I'm going to see if you're lying when you get here in 2 days' time, you responded trying to sound slightly doubtful, having had this conversation with the red-haired assassin far too many times before.
Natasha's mouth quipped into a soft smile that she didn't bother to hide, eyes softening as she looked across the extensive view of clouds. 2 days seemed like such a long time to you both, her stomach twisting uncomfortably thinking about the wait as she decided, I'll try and visit sooner.
Don't rush baby, I would love to see you but please rest. It had been nearly two weeks since you had been able to hold or kiss Natasha and it was almost like you craved to be with her, needing to smell her hair, stroke her bare skin - you were going insane without her around. However, you couldn't help but feel bad that she felt the need to rush to be with you, she was so busy on these missions, hardly eating, sleeping and having to be at peak physical performance at all times. She was doing the very most and travelling across the country to see you whereas you had to sit pretty and wait for her, yes you worked full-time at the hospital but it was hard to compare your fatigue to Natasha's.
I just want to be with you, Natasha finally admitted, her voice losing the confident tone she had been trying to uphold for your benefit.
Your steps slowed to a stop as you stared at a crack in the concrete floor, I want to be with you too. You sighed out loud, wiping a hand down your face before trying to continue the conversation. Where are you at the moment?
Natasha swallowed the lump forming in her throat, the sudden overwhelming sensation to cry needing to pass as she was still surrounded by her friends in the Quinjet who had no idea she had found her soulmate all of those years ago. Looking at her coordinates, she replied, we are flying over Colorado at the moment.
You smiled slightly as you approached the door you had originally been planning on visiting in the hospital, the happiness felt through the bond that Nat could feel her chest warming. Oh, I've always wanted to visit Colorado, I've heard the--.
Silence.
Not the silence that came with being distracted and losing your train of thought but the sort of quiet that left an empty hole in Natasha's chest as she waited for you to finish your sentence but it never came. The assassin sat up further in her seat, heart beginning to pound violently behind her ribcage as the realisation dawned on her that the emotions she was experiencing were the haunting silence she felt before meeting you before there was ever a soulmate connection.
Milaya? Natasha asked into the void of her mind, but there wasn't any sort of response or emotions felt back. Even when you were asleep, Natasha could feel your calmness and sense of contentment through the bond but it was just...lifeless.
MILAYA?! The red-haired woman was screaming through her mind, frantically pulling off her headset as they felt suddenly claustrophobic, forest green eyes darting wildly around the multitude of buttons laid out before her on the jet's console.
Nat hadn't noticed that in her surge of anxiety to try and get you to respond, she had actually begun verbalising her nickname for you, which caught the attention of Tony who was sitting closest to her.
"Who? I'm not naming the jet that Nat, if- Woah". Tony's words were swiftly cut off as Natasha pushed past him, her mouth was painfully dry, eyes wide and unblinking with fear, the match the tremor that had settled in her hands as she grabbed the touchscreen computer typing in your hospital's location.
Her eyes moved faster across the screen than ever before. There was nothing, no reports of an attack, nothing that would be a reason for your bond to completely disappear. Next, she opened the local police scanners and reports but once more, there was nothing that reverted back to the hospital.
Every second that agonisingly ticked past, she continued to scream a mixture between your name and Milaya, hoping there would be some sort of a response but nothing seemed to come of it.
"Natasha? What is it?", it was Steve who was asking now. Natasha's erratic behaviour was quickly questioned by her colleagues and friends who all approached and watched with confusion as she continued to lose all control.
Clint pushed past the others, grabbing onto his best friend's shoulders, his eyebrows furrowing as a tear slipped from the woman's eye, sliding down her cheek. Looking over her shoulder towards the screen, he recognised the hospital name, him being the only person that Natasha trusted with your whereabouts.
"What is it?" Clint demanded.
"I... I can't hear her", Natasha's voice was quiet and displayed her distraught brokenness.
"Her? Who is her?" Tony asked.
"Tony, not now", it was Bruce this time who spoke up, having never seen Natasha lose her composure like this, something had to be seriously wrong.
Clint's hands moved to cup her cheeks, forcing her to look up at him, "Nat, I'm gonna need you to take a deep breath in for me and tell me what's going on."
Natasha removed herself from Clint's grip after taking one steady breath before turning back towards the computer screen, not bothering to wipe away the tears that she couldn't stop from falling as she attempted to log into the hospital's CCTV. From there, she rewound the feed to a couple of minutes ago and began to search through the corridors.
"Can someone explain what's going on, please?" Steve asked, more sternly than before, trying to find some answers that he wasn't getting.
However, the Black Widow wasn't listening, becoming even more panic-stricken with each passing second as she searched for you on the screen until finally, some air returned to her lungs as she found you walking down a deserted corridor, the footage a minute before the bond suddenly stopped. Natasha nearly smiled at seeing you there, even though she couldn't see the details of your face due to the low-quality cameras.
Tentatively, she, along with the rest of the Avengers, watched you walk down the corridor. Nat's eyes continued to glance at the time, watching it tick down as you approached the door at the end of the corridor, opened it and stepped in and then nothing as it was the time everything became silent. There were no further camera feeds in that room, you were simply there one minute and then something happened in the room and the bond was gone.
Natasha rested her head against the computer, closing her eyes to put all of her effort into shouting your name into the void in her mind but the only thing that responded was the silence and the disrupting shouting from the people around her was distracting.
"Everyone shut up!", she demanded with authority, thinking hard enough that it was beginning to form a migraine.
Glancing towards Clint, who looked just as worried as she felt, he asked, "Nothing? What about here?" he tapped against his chest, directly over his heart.
Natasha shook her head before a red suitcase caught her eye line. Taking a step towards Tony she demanded, "Give me the iron man suit".
Tony scoffed, "What? Not until you explain what's happening- wait what the fuck?!"
"GIVE ME THE SUIT!", Natasha had lost all composure, not thinking clearly, only thinking about you as a priority as she reached into her holster and within half a second, had her gun pointed towards Tony's head.
"Natasha, put the gun down, NOW.", Steve demanded, taking a step towards the billionaire like he was going to stand in front of the gun for his friend.
Nat began to cry, still mumbling, "Give me the suit Tony", the hand holding the gun still visibly shaking. Clin stepped directly in the path between the gun and Tony before Steve could, he held up his hands for good measure to show he didn't mean any harm.
"Nat listen to me", his voice was calm and low as he spoke, like he was talking to a frightened animal. "Even if you wear his iron man suit, I don't think you're in the right mindset to be by yourself so this is what's going to happen. You're going to lose the gun and I'm going to sit in the pilot seat and fly us to her, we'll be there in a couple of hours but you need to calm down right now, this jet is too small to be firing guns and you know it".
She knew he was right, thankful that she had a friend to talk some sense into her as she lowered the gun, nodding her head towards Clint who rushed to the seat she was just sitting in, placing the headset over his head. Returning the gun back into her holster and watching as Clint increased the speed of the jet, she suddenly jumped as Bruce began talking to her.
"How long has it been since you found her?" he offered her a warm drink that she hadn't noticed him pour for her. Of course, Bruce was the first to suss out what was going on. Nat held the warm drink in her hands and forced herself to drink it, even though the nausea she felt was overwhelming, she needed to try and keep calm.
"Before I knew any of you...except for Clint", Natasha admitted quietly, sitting in one of the seats surrounding the edge of the Quinjet.
Steve sighed heavily, sitting next to her, now understanding just what was going on.
"Wait, so you've had a soulmate this entire time and you didn't tell any of us?" Tony asked, sounding slightly disheartened by the news.
"I had...I NEEDED to keep her safe Tony. Do you really think our jobs don't come without any repercussions?" Tony shivered at Nat's words, thinking about the number of times his soulmate Pepper had been caught in the crossfire due to him being Iron Man. "Exactly. I can't lose her, she's... the only person I have and the only one I let get close to me, she's my only one and now, she's not answering my calls, something is wrong, I know it is".
The Avengers all nodded their head solemnly, understanding why she had reacted the way that she did. Tony sat opposite Nat, eyes full of remorse, "So is her name Milaya? That's what I heard you say earlier".
Natasha released a half-assed chuckle beneath her breath, "No that's just a nickname, her name is y/n", she allowed herself to smile for a split second, thinking about the first time she'd called you Milaya and how fond you were of it.
Then realisation dawned on her that this was really happening. Not only were you potentially in danger but now the Avengers also knew about you, could this potentially mean you didn't need to hide anymore? Shaking her head she left that thought for another time, needing to make sure you were ok first.
"Everyone strap in", Clint shouted over his shoulder, the jet beginning to reach it's maximum speed. Natasha attached the buckles around herself tightly, dropping her head back and continued to try and shout down the bond.
Clint landed in the near-empty car park in record timing much to Natasha's relief, who hardly waited for the doors to fully open before jumping down onto the tarmac. Even though the car park was bare for vehicles, there was still a scattering of people gathered around, visiting people in the hospital or using the facilities which meant, as the Avengers were suddenly in this forgotten-about town, it caught their attention quickly, shouts and whispers from every direction.
This didn't stop the group however as they followed Natasha into the building, her footsteps fierce and confident, face full of determination, all tears gone as anger replaced those feelings. There wasn't any immediate sigh of distress as they entered the building, and no sign of an attack still or police presence.
The reception lay straight ahead, and immediately, Natasha knew that it was the receptionist Bonnie behind the counter, someone you had talked about with affection on many occasions and it dawned on the assassin that she probably knew every professional in this small building.
Trying to not sound too aggressive but still holding the urgent tone, Natasha stopped before the counter, staring at Bonnie who looked up with comically wide eyes, glancing at each of the Avengers before looking back at Black Widow as she began speaking, "Y/N, where is she?"
Bonnie frowned in bewilderment, "Nurse Y/N? But how did you know-"
Natasha's heart dropped painfully as the receptionist seemed to confirm that something had happened. Beginning to lose her composure once more, her voice raised in noise level as she demanded, "Where is she? Is she even here? Did someone take her? Is she dead-?"
Bonnie quickly cut off Natasha's rant, standing from her seat with raised hands, "No! No she's not dead but something did happen earlier, let me take you to her".
She directed the group down a corridor, half running with how fast Natasha was trying to walk in front of her, ignoring the stares from the other patients and professionals. As they approached a series of windowed rooms, Bonnie began to explain what had happened.
"A ... a guy came in earlier, we think he snuck through the basement but he was caught stealing meds which were where Nurse Y/N was stationed and...she found him in the cupboard and he hit her hard across the head, by the time we found her, the guy was gone and she was unconscious on the floor. The doctors are still waiting for her to wake up was the last update that I had".
Natasha was reeling from the information, knees momentarily buckling but Clint was right behind her, hand under her arm to keep her upright and moving. You were alive, that was the information that alarmed through her mind, you were unconscious that was why she couldn't feel the concentration, it wasn't like you were asleep and could wake at any time, you'd been forcibly put to sleep, your body healing and cold.
Then there was the fact that someone had actually hurt and injured HER soulmate, right now, you were her priority but the second you were feeling better, nothing and no law would stop Natasha from hunting this guy down.
Suddenly Bonnie stopped in front of a large window that looked into a private room that had light filtering through the blinds causing an orange hue to shift across where you lay in the hospital bed in the centre of the room. There were a few machines scattered around that were monitoring your observations and a nurse recording the results standing next to the bed.
Natasha had to use every part of her training to try and hold back the audible sob that threatened to explode from her mouth as she didn't wait for permission to walk into the room. However, no one seemed to have the courage to even question the Avenger, all looking confused between her and the other heroes, nurses and healthcare assistants gathering to see what all the commotion was about.
The nurse turned, hearing someone else entering to room, her eyes widening just as exaggeratedly as Bonnie's and Natasha was quick to read his name tag, Chris. Internally she smiled knowing you were in good hands, Chris had a reputation at the hospital for his quality of care and that you and he were close friends, it must have been hard for him to then stay professional and give care for his friends.
"Is...Is she ok?" Natasha finally found her tongue to ask the Nurse, her green eyes wandering over every inch of your body. You looked almost peaceful, except for the fact that you were still in your Nurse tunic and there was a bandage plastered to your forehead.
A wave of nauseous anger rushed through Nat's body but she took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. Chris's full attention was now on the Avenger as he answered her question with a surprisingly sturdy tone considering he was talking to one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. "She's had several stitches to close the injury, we found a metal pole next to her covered in blood so she took a strong hit. Thankfully there's no internal damage shown in the scans and she's yet to wake up but her observations have remained stable. Even if she wakes, she'll need to stay for a day or so to fully assess the damage."
The red-haired woman nodded, feeling somewhat relieved hearing this.
"Natasha?" Clint asked from the doorway having heard what Chris had said, waiting until the assassin turned towards him before continuing. "You good? We'll get out of here to give you some space just... keep in touch, will you? Let us know when she wakes up and-", his voice lowered dangerously low, "we'll find the guy".
Natasha nodded thankfully, even though she wanted to find whoever did this, the promising look in Clint's eyes she knew to trust that he had it covered. The rest of the Avengers shuffled back down the corridor, waving at the onlookers, thankfully taking the spotlight off of Natasha for a second as she attempted to step closer to you.
With no one there to hold her up, her knees buckled once more with overwhelming relief pulsing through her heart as she reached for your hand, her eyes filling with tears at the warm skin of your hand against yours, finally feeling grounded and connected to you.
Chris was quick to provide a chair for the Assassin, leaving the two of you and ushering away the spectators through the window, Natasha decided she would find him later to thank him for this.
"Oh Milaya," Natasha sighed as her face searched yours, hand gripping yours before stroking the back with his thumb.
The movement seemed to stir something with you as your fingers twitched in her grasp, a moan releasing from your mouth, eyes flicking beneath your still-closed eyelids. It almost felt like instinct for you to turn your head towards Natasha, feeling her presence there as the further you stirred, the mouth the empty hole in Natasha's chest filled with your bond.
"Natasha?" you whispered, voice thick and slurring slightly.
Nat brushed her other hand across your cheek, leaning down to lightly kiss the part of your temple that wasn't covered in bandages, mumbling "I'm here, baby". For this once, she absolutely didn't care who could see the two of you, Natasha allowed herself to be vulnerable for a moment, she thought she'd lost you, there was no way she was wasting another moment again.
A further hour passed before you moved again, sucking in a deep breath to properly fill your lungs and frowning, feeling something was off but not sure what. Blinking open your eyes, you flinched at the bright light that sent pain sparking across your head.
"Milaya?", Natasha whispered, careful to keep the noise down to not affect your sensitive senses. Her thumb brushed across your soft cheek, trying to help you arouse so she could see your pretty eyes.
"Nat?" you asked again, voice still sounding just as slurred and thick as before, "Am I dreaming?".
Eventually, your eyes opened, squinting against the orange light still pouring through the outside window. Even though the doctors had been giving you pain relief through your IV that was attached to the back of your hand that Natasha wasn't holding, you were still sensitive to the lingering concussion.
"There are those pretty eyes", Natasha praised as you looked at her hovering over you. "You aren't dreaming, you're ok, you're safe".
"What- What's going on?" you asked, feeling like something was wrong but not quite understanding just yet. You were confused and dazed still. Attempting to sit up, you frowned as your soulmate pushed against your shoulders, keeping you lying but you were only attempting to be closer to her.
"Hey it's ok, you don't need to get up, you need to rest", Nat encouraged, watching as you looked down at your body, observing the leads attached to various areas to monitor your observations, the cannula in your hand to the heavy feeling in your head, lifting said hand to brush over the soft material of the bandage on your head. Natasha cupped your hand and pulled it away from your injury, "Be careful my love, you've been hurt, don't touch it".
"I've been hurt?" you asked with confusion but the slur was very much still evident, you still need to rest and recover.
"Yeah, do you ... remember anything that's happened? Do you know what day it is?" Natasha asked, staring down worriedly at you.
You tried to think hard about today but your mind continued to be blank with delirium. "Uh... I don't remember anything. I feel like I'm floating through space", you admitted but then something dawned on you, even though you couldn't name what day it was, you knew you were at work, having been in this particular room hundreds of times and Natasha was definitely next to you right now, still dressed in her Black Widow uniform. Eyes flicking over her shoulder to the indoor window, you could see some of your colleagues walking around. "You're here! In front of everyone, they'll see you, Natasha!"
Natasha's eyes softened, hands coming up to cradle your face, "Shhh Milaya, I don't care that they've seen me. Baby, I thought you were dead." Her eyes dropped from yours to stare at your name tag that was clipped to your tunic, willing the heavy emotions to remain at bay, you needed to rest and she didn't want to make you more upset. "We were talking and then you were silent but usually, I can feel you even when you're asleep but there was nothing and I couldn't... I had to come here, I thought you were in danger, I mean, you were in danger! Apparently, some asshole was stealing med and you found him so he hit you with a metal bar".
"I'm sorry I scared you", you responded, feeling overwhelming guilt over the situation but still feeling completely dazed and out of it. "Will you stay?" you asked hopefully, reaching up to touch her cheek gently.
"I'm not leaving your side", Natasha confirmed.
"Good". The two of you stayed silent for a few minutes as the assassin returned to sitting in her seat, lifting your hand to place it back against her cheek so she could nuzzle into it. You smiled at her softness, something she didn't often like to display before something else caught your eye, your fingers nimbly grasping her chin to turn her head away from you so you could look at her chin, seeing the painful bruise there, "I thought it was just a scratch you got on this mission?" you asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Ah, so you do remember somethings", Natasha smirked, referring to the conversation the two of you were having before you were attacked.
"Oh little bits," you admitted, "I bet we look like a right pair", you joked, eyes closing with heaviness suddenly exhausted.
"Get some sleep Milaya", Natasha muttered against the palm of your hand.
I love you, you spoke into the mind connection, feeling heat spreading across your chest with love.
Natasha had never heard such beautiful words before, sighing and leaning over before she could stop herself to kiss your lips softly, audibly whispering, "I love you too".
Thankfully, 24 hours later you were discharged and finally bombarded by your friends and colleagues that were swiftly brushed away by Natasha as she led you towards the exit, but she quickly admitted that her phone had been going off constantly from the Avengers, wanting to invite you over soon to be introduced.
It took Clint three hours to find the man responsible for the attack and had been keeping him in a secret holding for Natasha, not that the woman was rushing to leave your side any time soon.
The days passed by and you were forced to rest by both the Doctor and Natasha, who was quick to do anything and everything for you and you were more than thankful, the symptoms of the concussion taking longer than you'd anticipated to wear off.
Finally, you felt strong enough to climb out of bed, the smell of food being cooked coming from the kitchen had your stomach growling in hunger as you quickly had a shower, still careful of the plaster over your stitches but the massive bandage had been removed thankfully.
After dressing in only an oversized top and shorts, you smiled lovingly at the sight of Natasha in the kitchen, standing in dark joggers and a thin grey vest, her hands moving skillfully over the food that was cooking, toast popping up in the toaster.
You began to move forward with the plan to help her by buttering the toast, greeting her with a "Hello beautiful", and reaching for the knife and butter. However, your attempts were futile as Natasha snatched away the utensil.
"Nope, I'm doing that, go and sit down please", she began moving away from you, to continue with her cooking.
Rolling your eyes, you simply found another butter knife from the drawer and moved back to the toast, "I'm fine! I can butter my own toast, Natasha".
Once again, she simply removed the knife from your hand, shaking her head with a throaty laugh, "I'm looking after you so go and sit down".
"You have looked after me and I'm feeling almost normal except for the stitches", you admitted, pulling the toast over from the toaster and placing it onto the plate, moving closer to Nat to try and snatch the knives out of her hand but she held it at arm's length, still smirking. "You're relentless you know that?" you finally admit defeat, hand dropping to your side.
You watched her move for a moment, not planning on sitting down at all before stepping behind her as she stirred something in one of the pans. Your hands rested against her waist, fingers teasing along the hem of her vest to finally slip beneath and feel her warm, soft skin as your lips kissed along her exposed shoulder. You smiled against her, hearing the relaxed sigh escape her mouth.
"Hmm... and you are good at distractions", Natasha quipped over her shoulder, leaning into your touch.
"I've missed you," you admitted thoroughly, even though the two of you had been together for the last few days, due to you resting, you hadn't been able to be intimate and you missed her, especially being away for so long before the attack.
I've missed you too, Milaya. Natasha spoke through your mind, hands moving to rest over yours before turning slightly towards you. "But- I need you to eat first, your stomach growling woke me up this morning and I'd feel much more content knowing your belly as full before I take your clothes off".
You swallowed harshly at the end of her sentence, thankful that she wasn't fighting you on being intimate and you could deal with the request, kissing her mouth quickly before stepping back towards the table that was already set for the two of you to eat.
Sitting down, you watched mesmerised as she cooked, it looking almost like she was dancing around the kitchen, you knew you could never be as graceful as her but she also had extensive training which aided with her movements. Your core clenched though as her vest continued to ride up on her hips, exposing more of her stomach and you wanted nothing more than to lick the area.
"Having fun over there?" Natasha asked with a wicked smirk plastered on her beautiful face as she observed your wandering eyes and the shifting you were doing on the chair with your obvious arousal.
You bite your lip to hide your grin at being caught, not quite finding the words to respond that wasn't a request to take her clothes off so you distracted yourself by drinking the glass of water that was already placed on the table.
The two of you ate and chatted about Natasha's teammates, especially Tony who had sent about 50 invitations to you to join the numerous events that were coming up that the Avengers had to attend, hoping you would accept one so he could bombard you with questions.
You both had decided that you'd attend one eventually, increasing the security would be easier now as you didn't need to hide away. This new found freedom was exhilarating and you couldn't wait to walk down the street, holding her hand and showing everyone that she was yours.
Scrapping the plate clean and moaning at how good the food tasted, you stood to wash up the plates but once again, Natasha was grabbing the plates from your hands, moving over to the sink and placing them into the warm water.
"We can do that later", she informed, extending her slender hand for you to take and leading the way towards the bedroom. The two of you lay in the centre of the bed, your eyes were already heavy, you hadn't realised just how tired you were, with a full stomach and it had been the most you'd moved in days and had exhausted you quickly.
You felt bad having teased her and attempted to reach for her but she easily held down your arms, pulling your body against hers, fingers moving delicately across your scalp in a calming manner. "Get some sleep baby, I'll be here when you wake up".
When you finally woke, you were greeted with the peaceful sight of Natasha also sleeping, her features completely relaxed. Watching her for a moment, you carefully lifted your hand, attempting to tuck a strand of hair that had fallen across her face behind her ear but in a blink, your hand was stopped in midair as Natasha gripped your wrist.
You grinned as she opened her eyes, "It's really creepy when you do that".
Natasha's plump lips tilted into a smirk, her eyes flicking across your face as she bought your wrist up to her mouth, kissing the sensitive skin on the inside that sent a shiver through your spine. "You love how quick I am, really", she teased, her voice completely sultry to match the darkening look in her eyes.
"I love everything about you", you countered, leaning closer, finally closing the gap between your lips. Both of you released a heavy sigh, breaths fanning across each other's faces at finally touching. Your skin burned instantly, feeling like there were tiny electric pulses coming from wherever your skin met and it always felt like that when it was with your soulmate, intense and powerful.
Natasha broke the kiss first but only to move down your cheek, on her own journey to reach your lobe, nibbling the sensitive flesh between her teeth that caused a deep moan to vibrate in your chest as your fingers reached for the thin straps on her shoulders, efficiently pushing them down.
"My Milaya", Natasha whispered against your ear, her fingers, pushing underneath your shirt to do their own exploration. Just before the tips of your fingers began to graze over her now exposed breasts, she pushed you fully onto your back, easily rolling on top, straddling over your abdomen her shoulder-length hair falling and framing her face as she leaned over you. "Let me make you feel good".
You mewled in response, admiring the beauty that she was, the way her lips parted and shined in the light, the straps dropped off of her shoulder that allowed for her vest to drop and reveal her perked breasts that were desperate to be touched. A finger slid under your chin as she looked at you with a raised eyebrow.
"You're so beautiful Natalia", you praised, hoping your eyes showed as much affection as your words did. Natasha's shoulders visibly dropped with love at the use of her birth name before she was leaning over you and kissing you fiercely, desperately moving, tongue pushing and flicking against your own, both moaning as you could taste each other.
Your hips lifted trying to find some friction but ended up grinding against Nat who groaned at the contact, her fingers suddenly reaching to grasp the edges of her vest, pausing the kiss for a second so she could remove the offensive material before moving back down to your mouth.
It felt so good to have her chest naked, rubbing against your t-shirt, that she was willing to be so bare before you. Your fingers caressed down her spine first before pulling around to the front, grazing over her scars and careful of her still healing bruised ribs that didn't seem to phase Nat anymore as you finally cupped her tits.
You felt the weight of them against your palm, squishing the beautiful flesh before tweaking her pretty nipples, earning a grind down from Nat's hips on your abdomen. Smiling against her mouth, you knew she had ultra-sensitive nipples which only made it more fun to play with them, hearing the desperate little moans she would release.
Suddenly, you were left cold and reaching for more as Nat sat up, pushing her hair out of her face as she looked down at you, "take off your clothes", she demanded whilst climbing off of your lap to remove her joggers speedily. You did as instructed, first removing your shirt and then your underwear before lying back down and Nat was straight away straddling your body again.
With no layers of material between the two of you, her bare, noticeably wet cunt now lay against your abdomen. Your hands went to her hips to grind her hips further against you, making her rock her body against yours as she leaned down once more to kiss you, your breasts rubbing together as her pussy rolled against your stomach.
"I'm supposed to be making you feel good", Nat whispered breathlessly against your neck of which she had moved to leave open-mouthed kisses against the sensitive skin.
You chuckled, releasing her hip with one hand to reach between your bodies to play with her nipple again, feeling the vibration of her moan melt into where your chests touched. "You are making me feel good", you responded just as breathlessly, rubbing your thighs together and feeling how wet you were.
The assassin suddenly moved, half climbing down your body and moving one of your legs over her hip, lowering her hips and then her cunt was stroking against yours. The two of you moaned, and your eyes flicked between her now swollen parted lips and where her hips began rolling against yours, your clit brushing against yours, both of your juices mixing together.
You matched her movements, gripping onto the leg that she had positioned over yours still, your hips rolling with hers, both gasping and mewling as your clits were rubbed and swiped against each other.
"Feel so good baby", Natasha praised, her hand coming up to cup against your breast, massaging the flesh slowly to match the thrusting of her hips. Your head flung back as she tweaked your pebbled nipples as she pressed especially hard against your clit. "Do you like when I rub on you Milaya?" she asked you, feeling her cunt pulse with arousal at seeing you experience such pleasure.
"Yes, feel so so good", you groaned, also reaching up to play with her tits, before sitting up slightly and pulling her face down, kissing her desperately as you both chased your highs, clits still sliding against one another with how wet you both were.
You were so close, your core beginning to tighten as you began to chant her name like a prayer, needing and wanting her, begging not to stop as Natasha was responding with just as much desperation.
Your cunt then started fluttering as you came, hands gripping onto Natasha hard enough that you were sure to leave bruises but it just felt so good that you couldn't stop. Natasha continued her movements for a few further minutes, finding her own release with a beautiful gasp.
You had planned for her to catch her breath but she was moving before you could comprehend that she was, your legs being pushed back against your chest to expose your soaked cunt to her as she lay down on her stomach, eyes connecting with yours as her mouth dropped to your pussy.
She began by licking up everything you had spilt, moaning at the taste of yours and her juices, tongue pushing through your folds before teasing your hole that was still twitching to be filled. Your hands replaced hers with holding up your leg, of which she gave a long lick up your entire middle as a reward, now freeing up her hands. With one, she spread you open, giving her the perfect view of your clit and hole and then she was diving right in, her lips sealing around your clit and sucking whilst two of her powerful fingers pushed inside of you, curling instantly about your special spot.
"Oh my god- Natasha!" you moaned, and you could feel her smiling against your bundle of nerves at your reaction, seeing your eyes closed to concentrate solely on the pleasure that was being given you. This was all you had wanted for weeks, to be with her, spend time touching and pleasuring each other's bodies, feel the bond glowing and strengthening with the time spent together.
Natasha's skilled tongue and fingers drew a toe-curling orgasm out of you, your back arching to try and grind your hips on her face. She had been a master at work, her eyes never leaving your face as she watched you go through all the stages of pleasure.
You were then rolling the two of you over, and you wanted nothing more than repay her with your tongue but you still had to be careful of the stitches on your forehead. So instead, you used your fingers in her soaking cunt and your mouth sucked leisurely on her nipples which had her clenching around your fingers, your thumb stroking against her throbbing clit.
"Milaya, don't stop", Natasha cried out, hands clenching into the sheet below, her thighs shaking around your hand, a pink glow to her cheeks as she watched you move from one breast to the next. You didn't stop, wouldn't stop until she was cuming around you and the way her walls were becoming tighter, her breaths coming out in short bursts you knew it would be soon.
"Cum for me 'Tasha, wanna hear your moans", you encouraged after releasing her nipple for a second and then going straight back to sucking it harshly into the back of your mouth.
"Ah! Yes-!", Nat's eyes rolled back as she began quivering around your fingers and you didn't stop your movements, making sure to draw out every ounce of pleasure that you could, until her hips jolted through overstimulation.
Easing your fingers out of you, you quickly drew them to your mouth, moaning at the sweet taste of her before she was sitting up and kissed your lips. Her tongue stroked against yours and you could taste yourself on her, and you hoped she could do the same taste herself on your mouth.
Then you were both collapsing into the middle of the bed, limbs tangled together facing one another and trying to catch your breaths, sweat glistening off of your bodies. Smiling softly at her beautiful expression, feeling her thumb stroke near to your stitches, you asked, "what's going on in that head of yours?"
"I'm just thankful you're here with me, I don't know what I'd do if something happened to you", she admitted in nothing more than a whispering volume.
Reaching to take her hand in your own, you kissed her knuckles, feeling the scars beneath your lips, "You don't ever have to worry about that baby".

It's been about eight months since Wanda Maximoff, and you became best friends.
What started out as her saving you from a nightmare to watch TV and play twenty questions about your abilities has blossomed into so much more. She's been there for everything. Your training, bad days, and acclimating you to living in the U.S. with help from the others as well.
Natasha rolls her eyes as you and Wanda come running into the kitchen, smiling from ear to ear. "Jesus, you'd think we have children around here." She mumbles to Peter, who looks up from his textbook, a little afraid. "But I- I am a child..." The Seventeen-year-old states, making Natasha lift her head from her phone and look over Peter.
"Hmm, oh yeah."
Without saying another word, The Black Widow gets up and puts her dishes in the sink, walking past the two of you while leaving Peter confused.
You look over to Peter as Wanda focuses on gathering snacks for your movie marathon of Lord of the Rings. Wanda, having never finished them and you having never seen them only made sense. Plus, whatever to get Bucky to shut the hell up about the books. "Don't mind Natasha Peter. She just misses Maria."
Peter looks to you.
"How do you know?" You smile and walk towards the boy. You point to your ears. "Hearing her heartbeat gives it away. She was texting Maria." Peter makes an oh face. "That's kinda cool." Peter decides and gives you a smile.
You smile back and almost laugh when you remember that there was a point when Peter was afraid of you. Being a Vampire isn't exactly the easiest thing to be.
"Be careful, Peter, don't keep filling her ego!"
You playfully roll your eyes when Wanda decides to speak up. "Don't pressure the kid Maximoff!" You yell back to Peter's amusement. The youngling loves being around you and Wanda. He often times feels like a younger brother to the two of you, especially when Pietro gets involved.
You turn around and head back to Wanda, who eyes you and then looks to Peter. "So whatcha doing, Peter?"
"Wanda." You interject, knowing what she's doing. But she ignores you as you round the kitchen island to stand next to her. Peter looks from you to Wanda and swallows his nerves. "Just some homework. Ya- know it's important and all!" The kid begins moving his leg a thousand miles an hour, much to Wanda's delight.
"Oh my god! Quit torturing him."
You send your thoughts to Wanda, who turns to you with an arms full of junk food and candy. Most of which you had never had until Wanda introduced you to them. You decided sour candy was your favorite. Chocolate was Wandas.
"It's just a little funny."
You shake your head at Wanda's actions.
You see, since you and the witch have gotten closer and closer, it's been noticed amongst the other crime fighters you live with. However, no one stupidly had the nerve to say anything except for a teenager dressed in red and blue.
It was innocent, honestly. Peter was joining the Avengers for a Friday night dinner—Gilmore Girls style. When you and Wanda showed up late with messy hair and comfy clothes, no one batted an eye, mainly because they knew you and Wanda had a knack for taking afternoon naps after a mission.
But Peter didn't know that.
So when you and Wanda sat down and apologized for being late, he made a comment along the lines of "at least you two make a cute couple."
Everyone froze, not knowing how to approach the situation until Wanda broke the tension with a giggle—making everyone laugh. Like I said. Everyone laughed except you.
What Peter said only made the feelings you had as of late grow and shrink in a matter of seconds. Your constant battle for whether it was right or wrong to fall for your best friend was now seemingly squashed when Wanda laughed at the idea.
She liked the joke so much she had now used it as a means of playful torture towards the boy.
But your feelings remained.
Since being saved, one person has been by your side.
Most days, you wake up by their side and smile at the thought of them being around forever with you. You look at her as if she was a goddess. You get lost in her eyes and smile when you see her smile. Everything she does, you watch her do with a soft heart-shaped gaze.
You were in love with Wanda Maximoff.
"Detka?"
You hummed and looked over to your best friend. "Yeah?" Wanda looked you over and tilted her head a little worried. "You okay? I called your name multiple times." Wanda's face was filled with worry. "Sorry. Got lost in my head." You made a believable smile and laughed. "Vampire things." You joked at the excuse Pitero uses all the time when he doesn't understand why you do or do not do something a certain way.
Wanda nodded along and smiled as if she believed you. "Alright. Here." She handed you a bag of chips. "Help me." You picked up a few more things and started following Wanda out. The two of you saying bye to a very thankful Peter Parker.
When you got to the elevator, you laughed at the sound of Peters's heartbeat finally slowing down.
Once in Wanda's room, the Sokovian didn't have to pry into your mind to know that something was bothering you.
Maybe bothering wasn't the right word.
But whatever it was, Wanda could tell it was loud in your head.
That's the way things have been for a couple of months now. Wanda would notice how you often you'd fall in and out of your own head. Getting trapped by the loud thoughts, Wanda wouldn't dare to invade. She only went into your head to help you with your nightmares. She even did it more times than you knew of.
So Wanda would wait for you to come to her. But you didn't. And things would go back to normal between the two of you.
But as the two of you sat on the bed, ready to watch Lord of the Rings, Wanda decided to say something.
"Y/N.."
You looked over to your right as Wanda anxiously bit her lip. "What's up?" You cautiously held her left hand. "Is something wrong?" You asked, running your tongue over your pointed fangs. A nervous habit you had yet to break.
When your eyes locked onto hers, not only could you feel your heartbeat rapidly increase. But you could feel the beats of Wanda's as she nervously decided to ask: "Is everything okay?"
Wanda tightly wrapped her fingers around your own. "Yeah... I believe so." You answered without much conviction.
Wanda frowned. "I can tell somethings bothering you." You sighed. "It's fine." You smiled and squeezed Wanda's hand before moving your attention to the black screen of the paused movie.
Wanda knew you were lying.
"Y/N. You can tell me. I promise to listen. You can trust me." She says with a hint of sadness. Almost like she's afraid that you couldn't trust her. "Wanda..." You swallow and look to your left, away from her.
Do you tell her the truth?
You bit your bottom lip, allowing your fangs to stick out and glide along your skin.
If you weren't so in your head, you would've noticed the increase in Wanda's heartbeat and how her skin seemed to heat up under your touch.
"I- I know I can trust you, Wands..." You look back to your best friend with the green eyes of the girl you've fallen for. "It's just... complicated."
"Okay.." Wanda nods. "It's okay. You can tell me."
Wanda doesn't want to give up. Neither of you do when you need each other.
"I know I can tell you. I trust you more than anyone, but-"
"But what?" Wanda interrupts, gripping her hand around yours harder, moving so she's more in front of you. Blocking the movie that will never be played. Her eyes searching yours.
You look back at her and worry if it'll be for the last time.
Wanda's head fills with thoughts of you, and she worries if she's done something wrong.
"Tell me..." Wanda pleads with a whisper.
"Wanda-"
"Tell me!"
"I'm in love with you!"
The second those words fall from your lips, the AI system alerts Wanda's room in the compound that a sudden mission is about to take place—wheels up in 10 minutes.
You stare at the Sokovain's eyes, and they don't give you any indication of what Wanda is feeling. All you know is that it hurts when you feel Wanda loosen her grip on your hand. You swallow and slowly pull away.
You decide not to listen to Wanda's heartbeat and instead distract yourself by preparing for the mission.
You delicately get up from Wanda's bed and make your way to the door, feeling unsure of where the two of you stand. You don't want to look back, but you must when a red mist stops you from leaving.
"Wanda..." Her name comes out in a calm, defeated tone.
Her body sits still, but her face contorts into one of confusion. Her eyes pool with tears above the red glow of her iris. And then... they fade, and the mist dissipates as she looks up at you. "Y/N..."
"Wanda, we don't have to-"
"You love me?" Those three words come out of her cracking throat. You watch a tear fall down her cheek before reacting and moving to sit in front of her.
Wanda watches you approach and take her hands in yours.
"I do. I do love you, Wanda." You want to say more. But you don't know what. Would you say you're sorry for falling for your best friend? Would you tell her that she's the reason you're even still an Avenger?
You don't know. So you leave it at that as Wanda looks at you.
This time, Wanda removes her hand from your hold before slightly raising it. "Ma- May I?" Wanda asks permission to enter your mind. Wanda wants to the extent of your love. She wants to know why or how you fell for her. Because truth be told, Wanda can't believe it. She's never had someone confess to her before.
You trust Wanda with all your heart. So you take her hand and place it above your head. "Go ahead."
Wanda thanks you and closes her eyes as thin red lines of Wanda's magic extend themselves from her as they enter your mind. You're always too sleepy or focused on your panic attack from a nightmare that you've never really felt what it's like for Wanda to enter your mind, but it makes the ends of your lips curl up. It's ticklish.
You watch Wanda smile and laugh at what you assume to be memories between the two of you. You wish you could see exactly what she's looking at in this moment, but you're just happy to be sharing how you see the witch with Wanda herself.
You feel the magic begin to decrease in your mind, and you watch as Wanda's smile grows before she opens her green eyes back to you. Her hand returning to her lap. Wanda opens her mouth but closes it immediately.
"Is... is that really how you see me, detka?" Wanda asks shyly with a tilt of her head. "Every day." You answer. Wanda smiles and gives you her hand to hold. Her thumb rubbing over yours.
"I remember... I remember the first night you came into my room." Wanda smiles, and you look at her confused before thinking she probably saw that memory. "You were nervous and shy." She states the obvious before pausing. "...I love you too, Y/N. I didn't need to look into your mind to know how I feel about you. I just wanted to see how you feel that way about me.."
The last sentence catches you off guard.
"Wanda..." You see another tear fall, and within a second, you are holding Wanda in your arms. Her head is in the crook of your neck. You let her silently cry for a few moments.
When Wanda finally sniffles and pulls away, you move your hands up to her face and hold her. You wipe away the tear tracks and find yourself nervous to be this close to Wanda. You hear a spike in Wanda's heartbeat as your soft hands brush her skin, making you look up from her lips to her eyes.
"Can I?"
"Please," Wanda telepathically replies. You brush over her cheeks one more time before you move into her. Gently and carefully, your lips touch. Wanda feels and tastes better than you ever imagined. Her soft lips push against yours until you both separate.
No additional words are said or unsaid when you and Wanda collide with each other again. This time, the kiss is rougher and more urgent. Wanda loves how you feel and marvels at the way your breath feels on her mouth. She wants more of you, and you want more of her so much so that- "Ow!"
In the blink of an eye, you backed away from Wanda and felt your beating heart break at the sight of Wanda's bleeding lip.
Her hand flew up to her mouth before she looked at you. You who was wearing a horrified look. "Oh my God, Wanda! I'm so sorry!!" Wanda, with wide eyes, looked at the blood on her finger. "Is this from-" Wanda looked up, and you knew what had caused this. You lifted your lip for her to get a look at your right fang.
No longer red.
"I didn't mean to Wands!" You had a sad look as you begged for Wanda to listen to you. But she knew. "It's okay." She licked her lip and felt okay when she didn't wince. "Y/N, I'm fine." You didn't want to hear it, though. "No, Wanda, I hurt you.." Your voice cracked.
This one was one of the many reasons why telling Wanda the truth about your feelings wouldn't be good. You could always hurt her.
Wanda saw you spiraling and getting trapped in your head again. She went to reach out to you but stopped. A light bulb went off above her head. Regardless of what territory you and Wanda were in right now, she could now do what she had wanted to do before.
Wanda leaned over and removed your hands from your face before she pushed you down onto the bed as her lips smashed into yours once again. You tried to stop Wanda, but she knew you would. So, as she laid kiss after kiss on your lips, you found your hands were stopped by a red mist of magic before they could even touch Wanda.
Suddenly you felt very hot.
"Wanda..." You bit back a moan as Wanda lifted herself off of you. "Y/N." She replied with a smile. "You don't hurt me." She said when you didn't answer. You sighed as you looked over Wanda's lip. "But-"
"Y/N, stop," Wanda warned. "Look at me. I'm fine. If we're going to start dating, then this is going to happen."
Wanda was right. Accidents with your pointed teeth were going to happen. Mostly because you were never close enough to anyone like Wanda before. You never had to be friendly or gentle to people if your fangs were going to be involved.
You were made to be a monster, but Wanda never saw you as that.
"And... I kinda liked it." Wanda blushed when you looked into her eyes. "It felt good being... feeling your teeth. Being marked by you."
Your brain crashed.
"Did you like it... the taste of me?" Wanda asked that, on the surface, would appear as an innocent question. But it was burning her on the inside. Wanda needed to know if you felt what she did.
You nodded. "You tasted better than I ever could have imagined.." Your hands found Wanda's face again. Wanda started to lean in. "I only need and want you." Your mouth opened as Wanda closed her eyes, her lips finding your neck-
"Hey guys- Oh my God!"
You pulled back while Wanda pushed the top half of her body off of you as you both turned to see Peter in his Spider-Man suit staring at the two of you. Jaw dropped. "I- I'm sorr- Wait, how long- No! I- Cap said to get you."
Peter continued to stumble and flail over his words until he managed to say: "Quinjet. Downstairs. Now!"
You and Wanda watched Peter leave red in the face. "Well, cats outta the bag," Wanda said, making you laugh. "I never understood that phrase. What cat? Why was it in the bag? It doesn't make sense." Wanda tilted her head before smiling. "The Vampire just said that." Wanda giggled as you rolled your eyes, and even though you were needed for a mission, you and the witch didn't move.
"Wanda, what happens between us now." You rubbed your hands up and down her arms. "Now..." She leaned down to be on top of you again. "Detka, I'd like to be your girlfriend."
"Really?" Wanda laughed at your surprised look. "If you saw how I see you, Y/N, you wouldn't be surprised."
"Maybe later." Wanda nodded and added. "After the mission. But for now." Wanda leaned into you and put her lips next to your ear. "I want you to kiss me." You turned your head to her and placed your lips on Wanda's and her small cut. The pain that came with it morphed into pleasure.
"I want to feel you," Wanda spoke in a whisper when your lips separated. "But-"
"You could never hurt me. I trust you and all your Vampire Things." Wanda's lips curled upward as yours did the same. "Let's save it till after the mission. I can hear Cap making his way here." Wanda groaned, having to get up.
"Fine. But after I have a talk with Spider-Boy, I want to sit down and kiss my girlfriend and watch Lord of the Rings."
"Girlfriend?"
"Girlfriend."

☆ natasha is in her mid to late 30s.
☆ she has been apart of the avengers ever since fury came up with the task force.
☆ the earth's mightiest heroes, as everyone know them.
☆ but no one ever sees the dirty work that comes along with it.
☆ the things everyone else is too ashamed to admit. the actions that had to be made. the exploitation of female agents just because of their bodies and looks. their femininity.
☆ nat really didn't mind it anymore, she was used to it. so whenever steve would give her a mission she wouldn't protest.
☆ nat never really had a family, her only sister was dead. she died when they were just kids. nat remembers it like it was yesterday.
☆nat didn't want the pair to go back to the red room, especially at yelena's young age. so they protest, they fought back, screamed. but her "mother" and "father" just watched as the soldiers shot and killed yelena. her little body went limp in the soldier's arm. she screamed as they dragged her into the plane, not seeing what happened after. her sister was dead and she was on her own.
☆ after a mission, nat would drink tea and write in a journal to ground herself. to remind her that it is over and she is safe. that this is her job, what she has to do to protect the planet.
☆ nat didn't have much of a love life. who could with a life like hers? she accepted that she'd be on her own. she didn't have time for love anyways. her main priority was this job. this team.
☆ fury came to her one day and told her he was putting together a task force. he gave her an out to the villian life and she gladly accepted. together, they vowed to protect the planet and stop bad guys.
☆ natasha has a cat named liho. she found the stray one day after a mission. it founded her home and appeared to have no owner. she was ready to take it to the pound when thr feline started to grow on her. constantly purring at her leg. coming near her. she just couldn't bring herself to do it. she had grown attached to the cat, so she made the decision to keep it.

silly one-off spiderman au me and leo talked about after watching all the sam raimi movies. entirely hilarious for jon to hate spiders while a web slinging superhero is cruising around London - honestly did it just to draw the spiderman kiss LMAO can you blame me
more details under the cut after the ID
[Start ID: Two images and two comics of a Spiderman Martin AU for the Magnus Archives. Martin is a mixed Polish/Korean man with short, wavy hair, wears glasses, and has a beauty mark under his lip. Jon is a Persian man with short, curly hair, wears glasses, and wears a business suit unless specified.
First image: A series of three drawings. The first drawing is of Spiderman Martin, he is posing with one arm above his head, presumably holding a web, and the other stretched out next to him, both his feet are crossed over each other. He is wearing a superhero suit that hides his identity, and none of his actual body is visible. The suit is has a web pattern except for where he has black elbow length gloves and calf length boots. His fingers are marked by sharp claws. There is a solid pattern around both sides of his waist that somewhat resembles a black widow hourglass. There is a simplified angular spider symbol stamped on his chest. His mask has large eyes with sharp edges as well as a set of eyes where his eyebrows would be, and two sets of eyes underneath his center ones. There are four black spider legs coming off of his back. In the top right corner, Martin is wearing a teddy lined jacket with a dress shirt underneath. He is holding a camera with the lanyard around his neck and has a beard. He appears flustered and is blushing. A simplified version of Jon that is just glasses with pupils says, "You look different...". Martin says, "I - I do?". Jon squints and asks, "Did you grow a beard overnight?". In the bottom right corner, Spiderman Martin has Jon cradled in one arm and is using his other arm to presumably swing a web. Jon is kicking his legs wildly and clutching onto Martin's head for dear life, his suit jacket and tie flying back from the movement. He is screaming and a couple tears are coming off his screwed shut eyes. He yells, "Oh good lord, put me down!!" in all caps. Martin says, "Hey, you're pulling my hair!" with the suit's eyes expressing a grimace.
Second image: A five panel comic. In the first panel, Spiderman Martin is dropping off Jon onto the top of a building, saying "Careful!". Jon takes a couple steps to balance himself. The next panel is a close up of Jon's face and he yells, "Wait!" In the next panel, Spiderman Martin looks back with a question mark next to his head. In between both panels is a web being shot out with the words "fwip" next to it. In the next panel, Jon's hand grabs at Martin's mask and Martin appears shocked and uncomfortable. In the final panel, Martin yells, "Woah! Hey!" and grabs Jon's hand. He uses one of the spider legs to fix his mask back onto his face and says, "Buy a guy dinner before trying to unmask him!" Jon looks up at him with wide eyes.
Third image: A five panel comic. In the first panel, Jon has slicked back hair and is looking angrily at a camera, saying, "You're trying to make it seem like I'm in love with Spiderman!". In the next panel, he is angrily pointing at the camera, a bit closer, and shouting, "Don't you dare put that in!!" with a flustered expression. In the next panel, Helen Richardson is reporting on the story at a news desk. She has shoulder length coiled hair in a side part and is wearing a newscaster suit with lipstick on and squiggle earrings. She says, "Jonathan Sims of the Magnus Tribune had only this to say-". In the next panel, Jon is in the same position he was in the first panel except he only says, "I'm in love with Spiderman!". In the final panel, Jon and Tim are watching a television in the corner of the panel. Tim is taller than Jon and has short hair locks, wears glasses and is wearing a sweater with a dress shirt underneath. Jon has his glasses tucked into his shirt collar and is dragging both hands down his eyelids, looking at the tv with a harrowed expression saying, "Tim, kill me...". Tim is looking at the tv with a grimace, responding with, "Yeesh, boss." In the left corner, a simplified drawing of Martin peeks over at them with a shock line, words next to him stating "Spidey sense tingling."
Fourth image: Spiderman Martin is upside down with half of his mask pulled up to just above his nose. Parts of his hair are sticking out by his neck. Jon has longer hair to his shoulders that appears to be wet. He is standing up and meeting his face to Martin's. He has both his eyes closed and is kissing Martin who is kissing him back. Both of Jon's hands are cradling the sides of Martin's head. The image is cast in a purple monochrome color.
End ID.]
the idea is that jon is a (nosy) investigative reporter for the Magnus Tribune who gets himself into way more trouble than he should because he's dedicated to the #truth. martin works as a photographer for the newspaper, sometimes collaborating with jon to nab evidence for a new article or scoop. at one such investigation, jon interviews a biotech company and martin ends up getting bitten by a mysterious spider - then boom, wakes up the next day and he doesn't need his glasses to see, he can climb walls, shoot webbing from his wrists, increased strength, reflexes, flexibility, the whole works. it's like he got five shots of testosterone right into the bloodstream. he starts solving small crimes as friendly neighborhood spiderman while keeping his secret identity, which props to him because he's the 'office clutz'. anyway shit starts going down with the biotech company (and possible connections to his boss Elias?? who wants to be immortal??), jon gets himself involved, and soon the guy who hates spiders is teaming up with spiderman to solve the mystery, all while harboring a crush on the cute photographer at work.
also just superhero martin is hot :)

Emily VanCamp as SHARON CARTER/AGENT 13 in original concepts
Celebrating Sharon Carter Month with this cruel concepts for her classical costume in the MCU!
My take for a more stylized version comes from Xenoblade actually, with the black details. Since Black Widow pretty much has donned the Agent 13 costume in her movie (let's not talk about how people called Sharon a copycat when the concept art for FaTWS appeared), I think they need to make her white suit differentiate, but not to the point of no-recognition.
(My head-cannon is that mcu!Sharon is undercover in Madripoor, and will use all the tech she has available as the Power Broker to create a very advanced and stylish bodysuit).
As for the classical costume I was actually going to do a 90/80's au concepts with Cap!Family, but tried with Emily and loved it.
I actually did those a looooong time ago, gave them a few retouches now...

Red Riding Hood
A Petrichor drabble

Genre: petrichor drabble, fantasy au, werewolf au, mates au, halloween

Happy Halloween Everyone!
Masterlist // Navigation
-------------------------------------------
Halloween was always your favorite holiday, your older brother often sneaking you out of the house to take you trick-or-treating, helping you hide the candy after the fact so your parents wouldn’t take it away from you.
Now, as an adult, you loved going to the pumpkin patches and doing other fall activities. Baking different fall inspired cookies, or just baking in general. Lighting your favorite fall scented candles and watching Halloween movies. Or even just cuddling with a blanket by the fire.
It was the week before the holiday, and you were talking with Haneul and Kangmin about the holiday, and how you celebrated it in the states. You learned that trick-or-treating isn’t really a thing, and neither is making jack-o-lanterns. Halloween costume parties were a big thing here though.
You were just telling them about the last costume you wore, before you came to South Korea, showing them a picture of you dressed as the Black Widow when a group of your coworkers walked by.
They were from the company that Bangtan bought out and had been merged with your building four a couple of weeks now. There was definitely a new hierarchy being established, especially with a numerous amount of alpha males coming in. Dominance being reestablished and it seemed like they had it out for everyone.
“Maybe you shouldn’t wear skintight clothes. No one wants to see your belly hanging out.” The man, Sangmin, squinted his eyes at your phone after ripping it from your fingers. You could almost feel his pheromones in the air, pushing out to exert force over you and Haneul.
“Hey, there is no need for this. Just give her the phone back.” Kangmin moved to step in between you, Haneul, and Sangmin, trying his best to diffuse the situation before the bosses noticed.
Sangmin just laughed, looking down as your picture again before showing it to his friends on either side of him. They too laughed at your costume. “No one wants to see this whale in her stupid costume anyways. What kind of a child still dresses up as a superhero?”
He practically throws your phone at you, making you stumble to grab it before it drops to the floor. Another group of people come over, this time a couple of women who also work here. You look at them, hoping they just walk past and don’t add onto anything, but your hopes were short-lived.
As you grabbed onto your phone, the picture on your phone had changed to one of you holding onto your carved pumpkin, a regular jack-o-lantern face adorning the orange food. When the woman in front sees it, she laughs.
“I thought only children do that. What are you, five?” You can slowly see how this is going to turn out and move to grab ahold of Kangmin’s arm to tug on it, telling him it’s not worth it when a door open down the hall.
The meeting room had been occupied for a couple of hours, and a couple of your mates were in there, Hoseok and Jungkook. The meeting was about the merge, and how best to incorporate the new employees.
Hoseok is the first to walk out, his eyes catching yours quickly, your sour scent making him latch onto your figure behind Kangmin, your friend in a protective stance. He could recognize the opposing force as a new alpha brought in through the merge, his stance forceful and menacing.
Hoseok did not like the way he was looking at you, nor did he appreciate the way you needed to be protected by someone in his own building. Everyone should know you are their mate.
Jungkook is the first to move, his own steps forceful and powerful as he moves in between the two groups, his hand immediately latching onto your own.
“Are you okay? What happened?” His eyes move quickly over your form, trying to identify if you had any physical injuries, getting slightly distracted by the way your thighs look in your outfit.
“We were just telling them that it is not appropriate to discuss outside activities within the work environment.” The man pushing his pheromones out, Sangmin, interjected before you could speak, causing Jungkook and Hoseok to roll their shoulders back, anger visible on their faces.
When Hoseok turned away from you, he saw the man who spoke straightening his stance, trying to suck up tothe bosses no doubt, he though. He had a large smile on his face, eyes turned up as he switches his eyes from both Jungkook and back to Hoseok.
“Oh, is that so?” Hoseok grins back, causing some of the workers in front of him to step back, Sangmin not feeling the same threat coming his way. He doesn’t even realize what he had started.
“Yes sir.” Jungkook cringes at the title, only liking it when it comes from your lips. “She was showing disgusting pictures to her friends and I said she should save it for after work.” Sangmin continued, placing his hands in his pants pockets like he did them a favor.
Hoseok turns back to you, his smile real this time as he holds his hand out. “And what were these pictures?” He opens your phone up with his own fingerprint causing Sangmin’s eyes to narrow in confusion before quickly changing back when Jungkook glares at the man.
Your phone immediately opens up to the photo of you as Black Widow, Hoseok’s eyes widening and his cock hardening against his pants. He has to use all of his control to stop the moan that wants to leave his lips. His knuckles turn white as he tightens his grip on your phone.
“Oh, darling, why haven’t you shown us these pictures before?” Hoseok turns to you, Jungkook peeking over his shoulder to see the picture, his own reaction mimicking Hoseok’s.
“I didn’t know you would want to see them?” You shrug, your shoulders still turned in, trying to make yourself appear smaller.
“I’m gonna send it in the group chat. I already know Jiminie is gonna wanna see you in it in person.” Jungkook takes your phone from Hoseok, grin to his lips as he imagines Jimin cumming in his pants at the sight of your thighs in your costume. Namjoon as well.
Sangmin’s “powerful” stance was now faltering, his confidence in the situation long gone as he notices the comfortability with you and the two CEO’s. He looks between you and the CEO’s, seeing the smirk on Haneul’s face as she stares him down. Taking the opportunity, Haneul speaks up.
“Y/n was just telling us about the different traditions for Halloween in America and we were telling her about our own. When she was showing us her in her costume, Sangmin came up and decided he would make fun of her for it. He called her a child and said, ‘who would want to see this clown in a costume anyway?’ after he grabbed her phone out of her hands.” Sangmin was quick to recognize his new situation, how fucked up he was, when both CEO’s turned to him, their eyes gold as their alpha’s take control.
“You called our mate a whale?!” Jungkook growled out, his body now in front of yours, a protective stance taking over as he tries to shield you from the perceived threat.
Sangmin’s eyes widen at the new information, not knowing the bigger women was the CEO’s mate. He had heard about it, people talking and gossiping, but he never knew who it was. Until now, and it was already too late for him.
“I want your things packed within in twenty minutes. If I see you near my omega again, you won’t live to see another day.” Hoseok’s alpha was poise, his control never wavering as he moved closer, now almost touching the other alpha’s nose with his own. He was doing everything in his power to keep from attacking the poor excuse of an alpha.
Sangmin was shaking in his leather shoes, fear leaking into his pheromones as he nods his head, quickly rushing off to pack his things and leave. Everyone knew not to underestimate the CEO’s, especially when it concerns their mate. Everyone in the city knew what happened with Jinae and knew better than to try anything.
When you finally peeked over Jungkook’s shoulder, you saw that everyone but Haneul and Kangmin had scattered, everyone scared over your fluffy alphas.
“C’mon baby, I wanna see you in a different costume.” Jungkook wraps his arm around your shoulder, tugging you away with a very large grin on his lips, a wink sent your direction as you let yourself be pulled away, knowing you aren’t going to be getting away any time soon. You just didn’t think he would be taking you home, where the rest of your mates were waiting for you.
A huge nest was waiting for you when you walked in, courtesy of Jimin and Jin, both standing in front of it with proud expressions and their hands on their hips. The others sat on the couch behind the nest, smiles on their lips as well but you could see the tension caressing their shoulders.
“Hi baby.” Jimin was the first to break the silence, coming forward and pulling you in, his lips capturing yours and tongue pushing past your lips to taste you. His hands moved to your lower back and continued to move lower until he was cupping your ass, making a small whimper move past your lips.
“Okay, move it aside pup.” Jin nipped at Jimin’s ear before knocking him to the side, your elder mate moving in and giving you a kiss of his own before he pulls away.
“Sorry ‘bout him, baby. He loved the picture Koo sent everyone.” You look to Jimin and Jungkook, who both have impish looks aimed your way.
“In fact,” Namjoon spoke up, pulling a bag from behind his back. “He even went and got a costume for you to try on.” They all wore grins now, mischievous in nature and fully dark as if imagining already what the outfit might look like on you.
You take the bag from him cautiously, a little afraid of what the contents are given that your sneaky mate picked it out. You kept looking back to them, their grins never wavering as you enter the bathroom and close the door behind you.
When you opened the bag, you couldn’t help but sigh and place it on the counter.
It was a Red Riding Hood costume, complete with the iconic red hooded cape. You cringed a little, remembering when you wore a similar costume in elementary school, but knew for a fact that Jimin picked this costume because of the stockings and see-through top.
That foxy little wolf of yours.
Shaking your head, you took the costume out of the bag and replaced your clothes with it. You knew you could have fun with it, and you knew that’s exactly what your sneaky mates had in mind. You were a little excited to see their faces when you walked out, and hoped they were going to be as dramatic and excited as you thought.
“Grandmother? Are you home?” You called out to the boys as you walked into the living room once again, turning the corner to see their excited grins fall into dark, lustful gazes. Eyes going straight to your thighs or your breasts, you walked forward even more.
“Yes, dear.” Jimin played along, happy you were going with his idea.
“My, what big ears you have?” You took another step forward, holding the cape a little around yourself causing small groans to leave your mates’ lips.
“Better to hear you with, my dear.”
“And what big claws you have.” Jimin moved forward, taking your hint and letting his claws grow out, gripping your hips with them and pulling you in, a little moan leaving your lips at the feeling of him manhandling you.
“Better to hold you with, my dear.” He grinned, holding you flush against him. He was waiting for you to say the last words, his cock becoming incredibly hard in his jeans and by the way you smirked, he knew you felt it too.
“Hmmm.” You hummed, moving your hands to fiddle with his loosened tie, wringing it your hands and making Jimin groan in your grasp at his own impatience.
“My, my, what big teeth you have.” You finally whispered, causing the boys to stand up from the couch, slowly moving to circle around you and Jimin, closing you in.
“Oh, darling, what better to eat you with.” And with that, multiple pairs of lips were on your neck, one nibbling particularly hard. Jimin had grabbed you with his hand under your jaw, holding your head in place before surging forward, devouring your lips with his own.
