Raskol is an incredibly old Traveller, one who claims to have been around since the early days; they have lived more lifetimes than they care to count. Taciturn and a bit socially stunted, it was until very recently that Raskol largely kept to themself. They dip their hands into many different projects and fields, but their work begins and ends with, well, the beginning and end of the universe. Known for being particularly grumpy, Raskol is finally learning how to relax and be a bit more... well, fun. It's probably the Nipnip. Particularly sensitive to the v̴͔͒̕ͅo̵͓͑̉i̵̧͇͋̊d̵̗̻̆.

A much younger Traveller, Onfim met the early legs of their journey with unbounded enthusiasm and optimism. They were reckless and feared little. Onfim loved to dig for information, to pull things apart and study them, but trouble only followed when they dug too far and found only c̵͚͖̝̈́r̸͚̀̇i̵̗͐̒m̷̨̧͑s̴͈͚͗̿o̴̬̜̅n̶͖̓͐̈́ and g̷̩͂̀l̴̡̠͊̔͝a̵̭̲̻͗ś̴̢̄s̵̗̱̀̇. They're back now, though, feeling more stable and yet incredibly discordant. The more social of the Twin-Iterations, Onfim is eager to meet with others and constantly be in a crowd.

-- & here is how we got pics of ourselves (ie: selfies; we didn't really call them anything but "OOC pics," haha) online in the 90s:

you got friends to take them (the 1st pic was taken by my friend in her car), or you used, say... a ruler to push the button on yr camera that was precariously set ~just so~ on yr dresser (pic 2.)

you wasted a LOT of film; it was embarrassing asf to bring it to get developed if you were using a standard or those one-time cameras.

then you either had a scanner, a friend with a scanner, or in my case POST-MAILED yr pics to an online friend with a scanner... and THEY got them online for you... & then mailed the OG photos back.

phew.

basically, in the 90s world of BBS's, IRC, & AOL, you were ~hot shit~ if you had photos of yrself online. 💅

ps: pic 2 is one of only TWO shots that remotely worked out, out of 16 sheets of polaroid film.

in the IRC/AOL roleplay days (WoD: VtM/WtA, MtA, VtDA, & just any medieval fantasy) we used ourselves as our char pics ...

& i was playing an old-clan tzimisce vampire named nakita taktarov, lolol, & ohhh, but this was considered a banger photo back then. 😬😬😬

by like 1999 people started using fantasy art or celebrity photos for char pics/PBs, & the bottom of our IC profile page would credit artist/name celeb.

& oh yes -- those who could draw their own characters were highly envied!

& that's how selfies & PBs were in the mid to late 90s.

These are from a few weeks ago, i was planning on doing some fun refs for my... five... No Man's Sky OCs, but I have yet to finish the last one. Height accurate and all. :')

Left to right are Raskol, Onfim, and Kestrel.

Raskol is the oldest of the three, a once-humanoid cosmologist who has lived far too long by finding or creating new bodies before every 16th death. Onfim is sort of Raskol's younger brother, but they're also the same person; a fragment of Raskol's soul "broke off" during one of their stints in the World of Glass, and formed into its own, new being. Kestrel is a former big game hunter turned archeologist and historian. After a hunt for a Leviathan went... as bad as it could have and then some, she left that life to pursue quieter interests.

There are two others, Threnody and Yamazyv, that i've still got to finish...

fiddling around with a new look for my No Man's Sky OC, Raskol. I got really attached to their new, more robotic appearance in-game after a recent update and. Well. Couldn't resist changing their design lmao

This design probably isn't completely final (there are some things i'm not happy with yet), but it's a pretty decent start :'D There are lore reasons for the new design but.. still working on that :'3

I CAN FINALLY POST THIS

for my partner's birthday, i finally drew something i've wanted to make him for like.. at least 5 years. Elesh Norn and Atraxa from Magic: the Gathering, inspired by La Pieta.

I didnt want to do this until I knew I could do it at least some justice, and it's so funny to me that the year i finally felt i could do it, the Phyrexians came back and bit the dust, lmao. Oddly fitting?

I'm so proud of this though and my partner hung it up immediately ;w; this is one of my favorite pieces to date, so much was out of my comfort zone and still managed to go mostly right !!

suffering from mtg brainrot recently and havent been able to draw much... but my partner and i recently got into pauper edh and made some decks, one of mine was built around Slaughter Singer. while stoned at 4am i had the thought of what a legendary version could look like/be... and i'm a sucker for Atraxa and Ixhel so i decided to be extra self-indulgent and come up with a phyrexian angel i've been doodling all day. cringe is dead, i'm going to have fun, lmao.

so, here's Svyr, Hunter Seraph, a green-white phyrexian angel, lmao. i think the translation is at least a little incorrect with all the new recent info about the phyrexian language, but i tried... :'D and i'll probably have to do a lil more research, lmao.
