God, the long term effects of Cliff prosecuting Enz is huge.

The books and manga made a bigger deal about it, but he has a big shot brother in the capitol, who is not super happy with what happens to his younger brother. To the point that becomes a big problem in later arcs.

BTW, the Rolands are distant relatives of the Salbards. If you've seen season 2, you know them. They are the noble family that was antagonizing Misa's family.

In fact, when the family gets dismantled, Randall Salbard, the bratty only son of the family, wound up with Enz Roland's brother. He wound up becoming a butler I think? We never see that guy again, but it's interesting how things interconnect.

Ah yes, Shia's great. She's the first friend Yuna makes who's her own age, which is a major thing considering she doesn't really have a good track record of getting along with fellow 15-year-olds.

It eventually becomes habit for Yuna to come hang out with Shia whenever she comes to the capitol to spend time with Flora, which is cute ^^

And yes, I reblogged fanart of Yuna and Shia kissing not too long ago. Yuna x Shia is pretty popular.

Not a bad plan.

Not a bad idea for it to become a standard. Like, Orphanages raising chickens for extra funds. Eggs will become more common a food item, and orphanages will have more money to work with. Hell, maybe they can give like, starting money to the kids who have grown up and are leaving with the egg funds?

Like I mentioned before, being an orphan in this world is ROUGH. I mean, it's rough in our world but it's even worse there.

Not the worst isekai world to be an orphan in, but still. (Leadale is the worst. You're just kinda expected to die in that setting.)

The manga adaptation of this part added a small little scene, one I thought the story really needed.

Yuna's past doesn't come up a lot in the books, mostly because it's something she tries not to think about. But her history certainly colors her actions way more than she realizes.

Stuff like saving the orphans, her crippling fear of abandonment, her self-loathing, they all stem from the fact that Yuna's parents never really wanted her.

And despite all the wonderful friends she makes, chooses to bottle all those feelings inside.

It is kind of frustrating at times. I've read multiple fanfics of Yuna breaking down and being vulnerable in front of someone she trust, written entirely because fans really really really want her to frikkin start healing already.

Mind you, she's plenty happy most of the time, she just REALLY needs a therapist.

The idea of being so hungry that you're eating thrown away scraps from the garbage was shocking concept to a pampered noble girl.

This episode is going to be about forgiveness, isn't it?

While I think forgiveness is a good thing, I also think it's not a requirement of the person they are seeking forgiveness from. I can't blame the other mutes for fearing and hating Scarlemagne, and I can't expect them to change that tune considering what he did to them.

Even if it ends with everyone learning to forgive, I hope Kipo learns that it's not as simple as forgiving and forgetting.
