Dr. Sugar! I need your help! I’m a WOC and my intimate area is v dark and that makes me insecure especially on sugar dates. What can I do about it😫

Don’t be! Listen, I used to be very insecure about my intimate areas as well so I tried a few different ingredients and methods and maybe they’ll work for you too:

Nair for intimate areas is my go too. I stopped waxing because it can really irritate the skin if you’re sensitive down there. I nair the pubic area and the sides (outer vag only). Basically put your hand or a plastic covering over your inner vag if you want to get the outer perimeter. Rinse thoroughly after application.

While your pussy is bald (after nairing) use an exfoliant like a sugar scrub daily. I use the one I sell on my website of course but if you combine sugar, lemon juice, and honey in a jar that can suffice in removing dead skin that can cause hyperpigmentation.

Following exfoliation, apply a moisturizer daily. I use a moisturizer with coconut oil and lemon juice. I actually did a research paper during my masters program about how vitamin C has aging reversal affects such as treating skin darkening. It’s not a skin bleaching agent but it’s a natural skin lightening ingredient so it can help with evening the skin tone down there and with discoloration.

Lastly use organic aloe Vera gel to soothe the skin and continue to apply it every other day or daily. This really helps with the discomfort/itching that can occur when the hair is growing back and reduce the chances of ingrown hairs. Ingrown hairs can lead to scarring which causes the bikini area to appear darker.

Other natural skin lightening/age reversing ingredients: tumeric (high in antioxidants I use it in my face mask formulations, it works wonders for evening skin tone), organic orange extract (also rich in vitamin C), vitamin E

I’m a firm believer in using natural products to get desired results but a few ladies in a group I’m part of shared that hydroquinone and retinoids are great for bleaching/lightening dark areas. I’ve used Ambi in the past for dark spots but for a stronger prescription you’ll have to see a dermatologist. See if you can try the natural way first and then if you’re not getting the desired results you can look into chemical products.

Hello, my name is Zaccaia and I owned Madam Zea, a organic beauty and skincare online store.

I started my Brand/Online store becasue I wanted to make something of myself. I've always have a love for skincare and DIY so in 2019 when I was a freshman in college, I decided I wanted open up my very own beauty line since I was obsessed with natural makeup looks at the time. So I did. I made a few sales and grew a small client base so I decide to take it more seriously, the same year I launched Madam Zea and now 2 years later, I'm still learning and learning about how to grow my business and I hope to get more sales.

I sell lipglosses, press on nails, eyelashes, hair products and wigs. Everything is handmade and all organic and (animal) cruelty free. I wanted to incorporate my spiritual practice in the work, so I offer tarot readings, magic and love advice and charms.
