Slytherin Boys (Taylors Version)
This is part 2 - the other boys are on part 1 summary: Slytherin boys (Taylor's Version) x Reader warnings: swearing, smoking includes: Regulus Black, Blaise Zabini, Lorenzo Berkshire wc: 1532
Part 1
Tumblr media
seven - Regulus Black
The air in the Black family manor was heavy with tension, a suffocating weight that seemed to press down on Regulus Black's shoulders with every passing moment. "Don't you dare walk away from me Regulus Black! Get your ass back down here right now before I'm forced to do something I won't like."
His fathers voice echoed through the halls around him, Regulus flinching slightly at the tone, memories of endless nights where his father had used the cruciatus curse on him.
He moved through the grand halls with a sense of unease, his steps hesitant as he navigated the labyrinth of memories that haunted the very walls of his home. Part of him hoped that Sirius would come out, maybe comfort him or something... but then he was harshly reminded that his brother was gone. He had left, found a new family and left him behind to deal with their awful parents by himself.
As he entered his room, Regulus couldn't shake the feeling of dread that clung to him like a second skin. He knew what awaited him beyond the closed door, the looming presence of his father casting a shadow over everything he did. And yet, he couldn't bring himself to face the inevitable confrontation that awaited him.
It was then that he heard your voice, a beacon of light in the darkness that threatened to consume him. You were sitting on his bed, your eyes filled with concern as you took in the sight of him standing there, a mere shell of the man you knew him to be.
I've been meaning to tell you
You bit your tongue, trying to think of the best thing to say to him as you pushed yourself off the bed, walking over to your boyfriend.
"Reggie..." your voice soft with empathy. "I think your house is haunted. Your dad is always mad, and that must be why."
Regulus's heart clenched at your words, the truth of them hitting him like a blow to the chest. His father's anger was a constant presence in their home, a dark cloud that hung over them like a curse. And yet, he had never dared to voice his fears, never allowed himself to admit just how much his father's rage had shaped his life.
But you saw through the facade, saw the pain and the fear that lay hidden beneath the surface. And in that moment, Regulus felt a flicker of hope ignite within him, a glimmer of light in the darkness that threatened to consume him.
"I think you should come live with me," you continued, your voice filled with determination.
And we can be pirates. Then you won't have to cry or hide in the closet.
You stand in front of him, your hand reaching up to swipe a tear off his cheek. Regulus's heart swelled with gratitude at your offer, the warmth of your love washing over him like a wave. To leave his home, to escape the clutches of his father's tyranny and forge a new life with you by his side – it was a dream he had scarcely allowed himself to entertain.
But as he looked into your eyes, he knew that it was a dream worth fighting for, worth risking everything he had ever known. F
And just like a folk song Our love will be passed on
"I love you," Regulus whispered softly, leaning forward to kiss you softly on the head before resting his forehead against yours, "I'm so grateful to have you in my life."
Tumblr media
false god - Blaise Zabini
The air crackled with tension as you stood face to face with Blaise, your heart heavy with the weight of unspoken words and unresolved emotions.
We were crazy to think Crazy to think that this could work
"I really thought that this was going to work," you whispered, your voice barely audible, the memories of happier times flooding your mind. "Fuck, I really was crazy to think that this could work."
Blaise's eyes flickered with pain as he took in your words, the echoes of your past mistakes hanging heavy in the air between you. He felt guilty, he knew it was his fault. He knew he shouldn't have joined the death eaters, but his parents had raised him to do it from the moment he was born.
He reached out, his fingers trembling as they brushed against your cheek, a silent plea for forgiveness that left your heart aching with longing.
"Remember how I said I'd die for you?" he asked, his voice trembling with emotion. "I really did mean it darling, I still do. I'd die for you."
We were stupid to jump, to believe that our love could conquer everything.
"Really?"
Blaise's expression softened at your words, a flicker of hope igniting in his eyes as he dared to believe in the possibility of redemption. "I still do it for you, babe," he whispered, his voice filled with a mixture of love and regret, "this is killing me, please just trust me. We can get through this, I promise."
But you couldn't shake the feeling of doubt that lingered in the depths of your soul, the fear of repeating past mistakes casting a shadow over your heart. "They all warned us about times like this," you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper. "They say the road gets hard, that we get lost when we're led by blind faith."
Blaise's hand tightened around yours, a silent promise to stand by your side through whatever trials may lie ahead. "But we might just get away with it," he murmured, his voice a gentle reassurance. "Even if it's a false god, we'd still worship this love. We'd still worship us."
I know heaven's a thing I go there when you touch me
You reached up to his cheek, he leant into your palm, his eyes shutting lightly at the touch, savouring the feeling he got from your skin incase this was the last time he would get to experience it.
Make confessions and we're begging for forgiveness
"I'm so fucking sorry," Blaise choked out, looking into your eyes, begging you for forgiveness. "Please please please, im sorry."
Still worship this love Even if it's a false god Even if it's a false god Still worship this love

midnight rain - Enzo Berkshire
The rain fell softly against the windowpane, a gentle rhythm that echoed the tumultuous emotions swirling within your heart. You watched the droplets cascade down the glass, each one a poignant reminder of the choices you had made, the paths you had chosen to walk.
Lorenzo Berkshire stood beside you, his presence a comforting warmth in the cold, lonely night. But despite the solace he offered, you couldn't shake the feeling of unease that gnawed at your soul, the ache of regret that lingered in the depths of your being.
Rain, he wanted it comfortable I wanted that pain
"You always loved the rain," you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper, the word heavy with meaning.
Lorenzo's brow furrowed in concern as he listened to your words, the lines of worry etched into his features. He reached out, his hand coming to rest on yours, a silent gesture of understanding that spoke volumes more than words ever could.
He wanted a bride I was making my own name Chasing that fame He stayed the same All of me changed like midnight
"I should have said yes," you continued, your voice tinged with bitterness. "But I was too busy trying to get stronger, just for some fucking fame. And in the process, I lost sight of what truly mattered."
"You know you never did it for fame my love," he whispered, "you did it to get stronger and protect the people you cared about most."
He was sunshine, I was midnight rain He wanted it comfortable I wanted that pain
You fought back a sob, eyes staring out the window, the coldness od the room beginning to make you shake. "You always saw the best in me, even if there really was nothing good to see." Lorenzo's grip tightened around you. But despite his unwavering support, you couldn't help but feel the weight of your decisions pressing down on you like a burden too heavy to bear.
"All of me changed like midnight," you whispered, the words a lament for the person you had once been, the dreams you had once held dear. "And now, I'm left wondering if it was all worth it."
The silence stretched between you, heavy with the weight of unspoken truths and shattered illusions. And as you stood together in the dim light of the room, you couldn't help but feel a pang of longing for the simplicity of the past, for the love you had left behind in pursuit of something more.
So I peered through a window A deep portal, time travel All the love we unravel And the life I gave away
You look up at the window, glaring at your reflection... the only reflection shown on the glass. You were alone. He wasn't here, you hadnt seen him for years.
You thought about him every now and then, drinking to try and numb the pain, to try and convince yourself that you had made the right decision... or maybe that one day things would go back to how they had been.
But deep down, you knew that there was no going back, no undoing the choices you had made. And as you watched the rain continue to fall outside, you couldn't help but wonder if, somewhere out there in the darkness, he was thinking of you too.
I guess sometimes we all get Some kind of haunted, some kind of haunted And I never think of him Except on midnights like this (midnights like this)

ONE CUP OF COFFEE. theodore nott
( master list )
IN WHICH… Theodore Nott can’t stand the idea of actually falling in love but he finds himself questioning his choices after a series of rather comforting conversation with a Hufflepuff.
“Do you hate me so much that you can’t stand having one coffee with me?”
Warnings: Smoking, mentioning of throwing up, mentioning of weed, swearing here and there, mentioning of hooking (pretty tame for a Theodore Nott fic tbh
Tumblr media
“One coffee. Black. No milk or sugar. Make it hotter than usual.” Theodore Nott wasted no time in repeating his order to the worker behind the counter. A new coffee shop had opened inside of Hogsmeade and in the Slytherin’s opinion, their drinks were better than any muggle one.
He tossed a few golden coins onto the table before walking away and taking a seat in a deserted corner. He liked to be away from people because despite being part of a popular Slytherin group and partying often, he wasn’t a social person.
The quiet lulling of muggle songs played around in the cafe, bouncing off the walls. Theodore pulled his turtle neck up higher, covering his bare skin from the cold air. It nipped at his slim fingers and he wished he had taken a pair of Draco’s Dior gloves now.
The rusted bell attached to the door dully rang as someone else entered. The cafe wasn’t too crowded. There were a few other students scattered here and there but not many people were willing to freeze just to grab a coffee.
Melted snow dripped off Theodore’s boots as his observant eyes followed the actions of the newcomer. He couldn’t tell what house she was in because she was wearing all white, but she definitely wasn’t a Slytherin. The girls clad in green and silver had a certain aura; an unfriendly, poisonous, and addictive one.
This girl radiated off sunshine and daffodils and basking in the warmth of a crackling fire. Theodore guessed she was in Hufflepuff because she had a certain charm to her bright smile.
“One cinnamon chai latte.” She ordered, kindly handing the cashier a few coins. She was practically the opposite of Theodore.
“Name?” The cashier asked, much comfortable in her presence as opposed to the Slytherin who sat a few feet away.
“Y/N.”
Her name jogged Theodore’s memory. She was the girl Lorenzo had been paired with in herbology. It was quite a long and dragged out assignment so whenever Lorenzo wasn’t hanging out with his friends, he was with her.
Theodore subconsciously sat up straighter and leaned forward to get a better look at Y/N. Lorenzo described her as a pretty and bright girl with a warm perspective on life. Instead of saying “what’s the worst that could happen?” She always said “what’s the best that could happen?”
Theodore was somewhat impressed by how positive a person could be.
He didn’t notice he had been staring until Y/N turned her head, innocent E/C eyes burning holes into his. Theodore almost jumped. He quickly adverted his gaze, clenching his jaw.
Out of the corner of his vision, he could see Y/N sit at the table beside him. She sat with her legs oddly crossed and her body was turned so she could look at him.
“Theodore Nott, right? Enzo’s friend?” Her voice was gentle, like a meadow full of daisies and glittering ponds of water.
Theodore thickly swallowed before he nodded. “Yeah. Lo’s talked about you. You were his partner for potions.” The brunette had never heard anybody call Lorenzo by Y/N’s nickname, but maybe that was because he didn’t allow anybody to call him that. Unless it was Y/N, of course.
The poor boy was smitten with her during fifth year but he shyly backed off when he realised he had too much competition. To this day, Draco was still trying to convince him to man up.
“He talked about me?”
“Only once or twice.” Theodore lied through his teeth. He may be a tease, but he refused to out his friend.
“The assignment we did was so annoying. I’m glad I had him as my partner. If it was anybody else, I would’ve gone mad.” Y/N signed and a small laugh slipped past her pink-tinted lips.
“You practically saved his herbology grades. Lo is smart but his plant knowledge is in the negatives.” Theodore huffed in amusement, his mouth curving into a sly smirk.
“He’s good with everything else, though.” Y/N uttered. Out of the whole Slytherin group, Lorenzo, Draco, and Pansy had the highest grades. Blaise couldn’t care less; he still scored pretty high but grades weren’t his whole life. And Matteo and Theodore, the players they were, didn’t even bother studying for exams.
“Black coffee.” The barista suddenly called out, making Theodore realise he had never given the worker his name.
“That must be your’s.” Y/N said, nodding over at the steaming drink. She smiled, which almost set Theodore’s heart alight. It was already drowning in gasoline and her damn grin may as well be the flaming match. “Theo?” She waved a hand in front of his face as he spaced out.
“Huh?” Finally, his blank eyes shifted to stare at her.
“Your coffee.” Y/N reminded him.
“Oh. Right. I’ll see you later.” Theodore was quick to stand up and grab his drink, the paper cup burning the palm of his hand.
“See you later, Theo!” Y/N called out, not seeming to notice his uneasy mood.
Theodore sped walked out of the coffee shop, holding a hand to his chest. His stomach sank as dread overwhelmed him.
Him and Matteo were like two peas on a pod. They shared the same habits too, like drinking their sorrows away and smoking until their lungs burned. And let’s not forget their infamous reputations as playboys. Theodore Nott didn’t do relationships so he refused to let a soft Hufflepuff change his mind.
Despite shoving down whatever warm feeling he felt when he was next to Y/N, Theodore couldn’t help but crane his head in search for a certain flash of H/C hair.
“Black coffee. Extra hot.” He muttered absentmindedly to the same cashier who had served him a week before.
“Name?” She asked, bored eyes gazing up at him.
“Theo.” He quickly replied, turning his head again when he thought he saw Y/N. He felt disappointed when it wasn’t her. The worker seemed to notice.
“Are you looking for that Hufflepuff you were talking to last time?” She questioned, arching a thin brown eyebrow. Theodore glanced down at her name tag that read Eulia.
“No.” He quickly denied her inquiry, wrapping his long Slytherin scarf tighter around his bare neck.
“She comes in every week around this time. She’ll be here soon.” Eulia said, glancing over Theodore’s shoulder to take in the growing line. She cleared her throat, reminding Theodore of where he was.
As usual, he threw some coins onto the countertop and walked away to the same table he sat at before. His head perked up when he heard the sound of familiar laughter.
Y/N walked in, waving good-bye to her Ravenclaw friend. “The usual, Y/N?” Eulia asked, already typing her order into the monitor.
Y/N practically bounced over to Theodore, taking a seat in front of him. “Hey, long time no see. I thought I’d see you at school but I guess not.”
“I was busy.” Theodore lied. In truth, he had been hauled up in his dorm and listening to Draco rant about Pansy.
“Doing what?” Y/N innocently tilted her head to the side, genuinely curious.
Theodore, as blunt and brainless as ever, blurted out the first thing he could think of. “Weed, drugs, and smoking.” He wanted to bash his head into the table. What kind of response was that?
Yes, he used to do all those things but he had toned it down. The only addiction he had was smoking now.
“I don’t know why I said that. It was the first thing that popped up in the mind.” He admitted, scratching the back of his head.
“I’m not judging you, if that’s what you’re worried about.” Y/N laughed, “By the way, your cigarettes are about to fall.” She pointed to the packet that was lazily shoved into Theodore’s pocket. He quickly caught it.
“I don’t do weed or drugs anymore.” He uttered, “Just so you know.”
From the coffee machines, Eulia rolled her eyes. “Coffee for Theo. Cinnamon chai latte for Y/N.” She called out, placing the drinks down.
Theodore quickly stood up. “I’ll get them.” He offered, not waiting for a response.
“Smooth.” Eulia said as he grabbed the drinks.
“Cut me some slack. I’m used to hooking up with toxic girls, not chatting over coffee with a sweet Hufflepuff.” Theodore lightly scoffed.
“So, Theo, what do you want to do when you graduate?” Y/N asked as soon as he sat back down again.
He shrugged. “I don’t know.” In all his years of Hogwarts, he had never thought about it. “What about you?”
“I want to open a bakery.” Y/N said like she had been waiting the question to come up.
Theodore raised his eyebrows. “You like baking?”
“Yup! I’ll bake you something next week. Do you like chocolate?”
“Who doesn’t?” Theodore only knew one person who didnt like chocolate, and that was Pansy. But to be fair, she had gotten food poisoning from spiked chocolate in third year.
It was safe to say that she spent most of that day hunched over the toilet while Matteo held back her hair and Lorenzo gently got her to drink water, which she threw up too but it’s the thought that counts.
“Great! I have to go now. I’m meeting up with another friend. See you at school, Theo!” Y/N effortlessly chugged her scorching hot drink. She slammed the cup against the table, grinning.
“What the…” Theodore was still trying to process what had just happened as he watched Y/N run out of the cafe and into the arms of her friend
The next week, Y/N arrived earlier than Theodore. He had been held up by Blaise, who was curious as to why he was visiting the same coffee shop three times in a row.
Theodore entered the store after managing to shake Blaise off. He shoved his hands into his pockets, shivering despite the atmosphere being warm.
Eulia, who seemed to be on duty every day, had already made his drink and placed it in front of Y/N. She was too busy doodling on his cup with a permanent marker to notice his sudden appearance.
“Cute outfit.” He said as he sat down, the legs of his chair scraping against the tilted floor. Y/N’s face visibly lit up at his small compliment. Theodore observed her pink sweater with little bows sewn on it and her short white skirt with fleece leggings lining her legs.
“As promised, your cookie.” Y/N slid the box over to Theodore, smiling. “I would recommend heating it up. A warm cookie is better than a cold and hard one.”
“Do you bake often?” Theodore asked, taking the box and letting it rest on his lap.
“I try to bake as much as I can. I like helping the house elves too.” Y/N began to fondly talk about her love for baking and as much as Theodore tried to focus on her words, his gaze wandered to a suspicious group huddled in the opposite corner.
Once Theodore looked past their dark sunglasses and large coats, he recognised them as his friends. He saw Draco shove past Pansy and he surely pointed at Y/N then at Theodore before slapped his hands together.
Theodore stared at him, puzzled. And it showed as he furrowed his eyebrows and frowned. Y/N didn’t seem to notice his wavering attention, much to his relief.
“Do you want to bake together sometime, Theo?” Y/N asked, bringing him back to their conversation. He felt a little guilty because he hadn’t heard another word of what she had said.
“Sure. Though, I don’t think I’d be much help. Matt and I tried making edibles once and we messed that shit up.”
From behind Draco, Matteo glared at Theodore. It was your fault, he mouthed. He wasn’t lying, Theodore had gotten just about every ingredient in the recipe wrong.
“Edibles?” Y/N tilted her head to the side.
“Weed brownies.” Theodore elaborated, “But that was last year. I don’t do that anymore, remember? I only party and smoke.”
“I know. You told me.” Her eyes crinkled when she smiled. Y/N’s gaze flickered to his packed of cigarettes that always looked like it was about to fall out.
“Would you like to come to a party with me?” Theodore asked, leaning forward. There was one in the Slytherin common room next week. Normally, people from other houses weren’t invited but if you had the right connections, you’d be let in.
“Parties aren’t my thing. I… don’t like the vibe. You know?”
“That’s fine. You ever tried smoking?”
“No. Cedric offered to teach me but I declined.” Y/N frowned at the lost opportunity.
“I’ll teach you.” Theodore said a little too quickly. He cleared his throat. “I mean, you keeping me company wouldn’t be so bad.” He grabbed his packet, sliding it across the table. “These are my good ones. Keep ‘em and whenever you’re having a bad day or just wanna have a smoke, find me. I’ll light one for you.”
From across the room, Matteo lightly gasped. Theodore never ever shared his good cigarettes with anyone, not even him.
“Really?” Y/N picked up the worn-out box, staring at it.
“Yeah. I gotta get going. My friends are probably wondering where I am.” Theodore, once again, lied through his teeth. He knew his friends had questions and he didn’t want to keep them waiting. He stood up, feeling Pansy’s gaze burn a hole through him.
“Enjoy the cookie!” Y/N exclaimed, grinning and waving him off.
Theodore smiled. “I’m sure I will, love.” He walked out of the cafe, his friends following close behind and bombarding him just like he had predicted.
“You clearly have some sort of feelings towards her.” Panay said as she poked the brunette beside him. All throughout breakfast, Panay had been trying to get Theodore to admit his growing affection for Y/N. He denied it every time.
“I don’t.” He said for the third time, leaning down to stuff some bacon into his mouth. As he quickly chewed, his gaze flickered to Y/N.
“You’re looking at her again!” Pansy exclaimed, huffing. “It’s so obvious you like her!”
“Where’s Lo and Draco?” Theodore changed the subject, realising the two boys were missing.
“You can’t change the topic. You like her and you know it.” Unfortunately for Theodore, Pansy was persistent. Maybe a little too much.
“Theo likes who?” Lorenzo tilted his head to the side in curiosity. The whole group, even Blaise who laughed at awkward situations, froze.
Nobody responded for a moment before Blaise put down his fork. “Y/N. He likes Y/N L/N.” Theodore glared at the boy, wondering why on hell he’d even tell Lorenzo the truth.
“… Oh.” Lorenzo didn’t say much as he sat down, glancing over at Y/N. “You’re not going to break her heart, right?”
“I don’t like her. End of conversation.” Theodore groaned, taking a huge gulp from his goblet.
“I don’t believe you.” Lorenzo uttered, pointing his fork at Theodore’s eyes, “Your eyes say it all. You keep looking at her every minute and when you do, your eyes soften.”
Pansy snickered, nudging Theodore. “Told you.”
“If you don’t like her, then you wouldn’t mind if someone else asked her out, would you?” Matteo piped up.
“You aren’t her type.” Theodore immediately replied, scoffing.
“We’re practically the same, Theo. If I’m not her type then you aren’t. She’s pretty and all but I don’t date. That guy, on the other hand, seems like he does.” Matteo pointed over to a Ravenclaw boy approaching Y/N. The whole Slytherin group watched as he nervously asked her something and when she slowly nodded, his face lit up.
Theodore clenched his hands into fists. “Did he just ask her out?” He seethed, clenching his jaw.
“You don’t like her, remember? You shouldn’t care.” As usual, Matteo had that same infuriating smirk on his face. “Anyway, what are we doing for the party tonight?”
Theodore had forgotten all about it. He faintly remembered Y/N saying parties weren’t her thing. Did she like guys who didn’t party? That Ravenclaw boy looked like he didn’t. Is that why she said yes?
“I’m not doing. Not really my thing.” He uttered, shrugging. His friends looked at him in disbelief.
“Not your thing?” Matteo stammered, “Mate, the only thing you do is party! What’s gotten into you?!”
“He’s trying to turn into Y/N’s ideal type.” Pansy snickered, “He knows he isn’t the blueprint and he can’t see her with anyone else so he’s improving himself.”
“Respect, bro. But what about Izzi?” Matteo motioned to the Slytherin girl down a few rows who was Theodore’s favourite hookup.
“I don’t care about her.”
“What about the drinks?”
“I need to cut my alcohol intake.”
“Smoking? You can’t give up smoking! You’re addicted!”
“Y/N has my cigs. When she wants to learn, I’ll teach her.”
“And if she never wants to learn?”
“Then I won’t pester her. Not smoking for a while might do me some good.” Theodore on the brink of giving up smoking for some girl was a huge deal.
Matteo leaned over to Draco, “Is he sick?”
Pansy lightly snorted and she teasingly grinned, “If you mean lovesick, then yeah.”
To be honest, Theodore didn’t even know what he was doing. His head tried to convince him to return to the common room and drink like he usually did, but his heart said no.
That’s how he ended up in the courtyard, enjoying the fresh breeze.
“Theo?” An all too familiar voice called out. He practically spun around, facing Y/N. “I thought you’d be at your party.” She stared at him, confused.
“I’m taking a break from all that.” He said. Y/N silently sat beside him on the stone bench.
“I still have your cigarettes if you want them.” Y/N said, handing the packet over. “I thought about it and I don’t think I want to smoke just yet.”
“Thanks, love.” Theodore took the box, shoving it into his pocket without hesitation. Normally, he’d take one out and light it up but tonight was different.
“So, that Ravenclaw boy.” Theodore drawled. “He asked you out, huh?”
“Hm? Oh, Rowan? Yeah. I only said yes to be nice though because he helped me with some work last year.”
“You’re too kind, love. You need to know your boundaries.”
Y/N’s cheeks heated up at the sound of his endearing nickname. “I can’t say no now. It’ll just be one date then I’ll say it didn’t work out.”
“What if he wants a second date? What will you do?” Theodore moved closer to Y/N so he could feel the warmth radiating off her body. His heart jumped at their close proximity.
“Then I’ll tell him I don’t want one.” Y/N whispered, staring up at Theodore with those gentle eyes he liked so much.
“I liked your cookie, by the way.” Theodore slowly smiled, “It was good.”
“I’ll bake you a few more next time.” Y/N beamed. “I’m trying a new recipe for a brownie so I’ll give you one too!” Theodore smiled as she jumped into another rant about baking. This time, he could actually listen without being pestered by his friends.
Theodore, as usual, walked into the cafe around the same time he usually did. Eulia spotted him and subtly waved. “Has Y/N come in yet?” He asked.
Eulia hesitated before she pointed over at Y/N and Rowan. Theodore visibly deflated. He knew Y/N was only being nice to the Ravenclaw but he still felt a twinge of sadness.
“I’m sorry, Theo. If it makes you feel better, she hasn’t looked like she’s enjoyed the date. She looks much happier talking to you.” Eulia handed him his coffee.
“Right.” He sat down at a nearby table, glancing over at Y/N every so often. The slight pang in his heart reminded him of why he never dated in the first place. He quietly cleared his throat, deciding that whatever butterflies he felt for Y/N had to be drowned.
He stood up and Y/N immediately caught his gaze. She smiled and waved when Rowan wasn’t looking, but Theodore ignored her. Slowly, she lowered her hand.
As Rowan ranted on about how Ravenclaw was the best house, Y/N couldn’t help but think of what she had done to possibly anger Theodore. So much that he ignored her when he usually enjoyed her small smiles and secretive waves. She blocked out Rowan’s voice, frowning. He couldn’t grab her attention like Theodore could.
If only she knew that Theodore was simply trying not to fall in love.
Theodore avoided her for the rest of the week. Whenever she tried to approach him, he’d walk away. Even his friends were puzzled. After another failed attempt of trying to talk to Theodore, Pansy placed a hand on her shoulder.
“We’ll talk to him.” She said.
“I don’t know what I did wrong. He’s been acting so moody all of a sudden.” Y/N sighed and pouted.
“Maybe he’s on his period.” Matteo snickered at his own joke but immediately stopped when nobody else laughed with him. “I mean, Theo hasn’t had a good drink, fuck, or smoke since Monday. And all he did on that day was smoke for five minutes before he got caught.”
“I thought he liked doing all those things. Why’d he stop if it’s just going to make him grumpy?” Y/N murmured, playing with the hem of her blouse. Matteo and Pansy exchanged a glance, knowing they shouldn’t expose Theodore so early.
“He’s just being unreasonable. Don’t worry, we’ll get through to him.” Matteo grinned, his eyes flickered to the box in Y/N’s hands. “More cookies for him?”
She nodded. “Could you give this to him? It might make him feel better.” Matteo lowly hummed, taking the box. He and Pansy walked off after Theodore, muttering to each other about what could possibly be wrong with their friend.
“Theo.” Matteo called out as they entered the Slytherin Chamber. They found him sprawled out on the couch, a burning cigarette in his mouth. “Y/N made you cookies.”
Theodore looked at the box in Matteo’s outstretched arms. “I don’t want ‘em.” He said with a lazy flick of his hands.
“But you said you love her cookies. Jeez, dude, what’s gotten into you?” Matteo scoffed as he grabbed one, shoving it into his mouth. “If a girl made me cookies like these, I’d fall in love.”
“That’s the problem!” Theodore exclaimed loudly. “I’m Theodore Nott, Hogwarts resident fuck boy. I don’t do relationships! But Y/N- Y/N is making me feel things I shouldn’t!” He groaned, pulling at the ends of his hair.
“That’s the problem?” Pansy huffed, taking a seat beside him. “Theo, look at yourself. You haven’t partied in ages, you haven’t drank, you haven’t had sex with any other girl since last month. And you haven’t been smoking up until now! If you’re willing to stop all that shit for Y/N then you obviously like her!”
“What if I’m just concealing it, huh? What if I haven’t changed and if I date Y/N, then I hurt her? I don’t care about any other girl’s feelings but Y/N, fuck. I don’t want to hurt her.”
“Figure your feelings out then decide what you want to do. Easy peasy.” Matteo shrugged, eating another cookie. Theodore clicked his tongue, snatching the box out of his hands.
“It better be easy or I’m going to smoke all your favourite cigs, Matt.”
Matteo was lying. It was not easy to figure out how he felt towards Y/N. Every time he got close to her, he changed his mind last minute and rushed off. It earned him some weird looks but he couldn’t care less.
“Have you even slept lately?” Matteo questioned, slamming a cup of coffee in front of Theodore. He groaned.
“Do I look like I’ve slept?” He muttered, glowing at Matteo.
“Like a baby.” His friend teased, cruelly laughing. Lorenzo glanced over Theodore’s shoulder, clearing his throat.
“Y/N’s coming this way.” He whispered, kicking Theodore.
“What?” He looked around, panicked. Y/N was indeed walking towards him. He grabbed his coffee, splashing it onto Matteo’s wrinkled blouse.
“Yo! What the fuck, dude? That’s hot!” Matteo seethed, resisting the urge to peel his wet shirt off. Some girls hoped he would.
“Sorry, Matt. It was an accident. I’ll help you clean up.” Theodore tried to play his stunt off as an accident while practically dragging Matteo out of the hall.
“Okay, seriously, what was that all about?”
“I needed an excuse to get away.”
“So you spilled hot coffee on me?!”
“I would’ve let you do the same.” Theodore glared at his friend as he sat down and slumped. “She’s everywhere. How is she so social? I can’t get away from her.” He ran a hand through his messy hair.
“Have you been running away from Y/N this whole time?” Matteo questioned, arching an eyebrow. “It’s hilarious to imagine you running away from a girl.”
“Shut up. I’m processing things.” Theodore sighed.
“Just talk to her, Theo.” Matteo lightly nudged his leg, “What else can you lose? You’ve already lost your dignity.”
It had been a few weeks since Theodore had returned to the coffee shop. But finally, he strutted through the doorway with his usual uncaring demeanour.
Someone else entered as Theodore stood in the middle of the room, taking in everything he had missed about this cafe.
“Theo?” Y/N asked, peering over his shoulder. “I haven’t seen you in a while.” He stiffened and slowly turned around. “Are you having a coffee?”
“I’ve already had one, actually. I was just seeing if this place had changed.” Theodore wanted to walk away but he couldn’t tear his gaze away from Y/N’s eyes.
“Well, there’s no harm in having another one, right? It’s on me.” Y/N smiled at Eulia, “One cinnamon chai latte and…” She thought for a moment, glancing over at Theodore, “You’ve already had a coffee so one cream latte as well!”
Y/N paid and brushed past Theodore.
“Kiss her.” Eulia hissed, harshly poking Theodore’s shoulder.
“I’m not kissing her.” Theodore replied back in a hushed whisper.
“Theo, you coming?” Y/N called out, looking over her shoulder.
There was barely anybody in the cafe and even if there was, Eulia would’ve ignored their drinks to make Y/N and Theodore’s.
Theodore reached out to grab his but Y/N was quicker. She grasped both drinks, smiling at him. “We don’t have to be back at school for a while so let’s sit here.”
Theodore nervously followed behind Y/N to their usual table. He sat down, rigid and stiff. He saw his cup and glared at Eulia, who laughed. She had written a message on the cardboard, kiss her, and Theodore was quick to cover it.
He looked out the window, almost jumping with joy when he saw Matteo. “Oh! Matt! I need to talk to him! Sorry, Y/N. I’ll see you later!” He ran out of the cafe, crashing into his friend.
“Matteo! Quick! Do something!” Theodore shook his friend, urging him to create a distraction.
“Is this about Y/N?” He asked.
“She’s in the coffee shop- don’t look!” Theodore shoved his friend.
“And you need me to something stupid?”
Theodore eagerly nodded but was unprepared when Matteo pushed him forward and down a snowy hill. “Theo! Sorry! My hand slipped! I’m coming!” Matteo yelled out in a fake worried voice as Theodore rolled and got a mouthful of snow.
Y/N watched their strange interaction as she sipped on her drink. “… He didn’t call me love like he usually does.”
Y/N hummed to herself as she slipped on a pair of mittens and took out a tray of cookies. She placed the hot metal tray on the counter, the smell of baked goods wafting through the air.
She poured herself a cup of light coffee and sat down, swinging her legs. She lifted her head when she heard the sound of quiet swearing and smelled the scent of cigarettes and cologne.
“Theo?” She asked, tilting her head to the side. It was silent for a moment before the boy sheepishly pushed the kitchen doors open.
“I was looking for a snack for Pansy. She’s not feeling well.” He looked around, staring at everything but Y/N.
“I would offer her a cookie but she doesn’t really like chocolate, does she?” Y/N circled her finger around the rim of her cup, “Would you like some coffee? I made it myself.”
Theodore found himself sitting across from her against his will. He watched as she poured him a cup, softly smiling.
“Thanks.” He stammered, grabbing the white mug and gulping it down.
Y/N’s eyes widened. “Careful! Isn’t it hot?”
Theodore slammed the cup down, ignoring the burning sensation on his tongue. “No.” He wheezed, his vocal cords threatening to give up on him, “I’m fine. Tastes great.”
“You’ve spilled some.” Y/N said. She leaned forward, pointing at his collar. His top two buttons were undone and hot coffee trickled down his skin. “That must hurt. Here, let me help.”
Y/N dabbed a tissue against Theodore’s collar and he flinched as her fingers came in contact with his exposed skin. She noticed, peeking up at him through her lashes.
“Do you hate me so much that you can’t stand having one coffee with me?” She asked, taking a small step back.
“What?” Theodore choked. He didn’t hate her, quite the opposite to be honest.
“You keep running away from me. And you left me in the cafe the other day. And you didn’t wave back. Do you hate me?”
Theodore hated how he could see her E/C eyes glass over. He fiddled with his mug, tapping his nails against the porcelain.
“I… have to go. Pansy needs me.” He stood up, leaving without another word. He was doing what he did best; running away from his problems.
With Theodore out of the picture, Y/N felt lonely. She dug around in her pocket, confused when she fished out a cigarette. “Oh… it must’ve fallen out.” She murmured.
She was on her way to the cafe, but not to meet up with Theodore. The day after he had walked out on her, again, a Gryffindor had approached her and asked her out. She said yes in hopes this date would be better than her date with Rowan.
Spoiler alert, it wasn’t. In fact, she felt like it was worse. Y/N stared at her cup as the boy beside her talked on and on about his love for quidditch.
“What’s your hobby?” He suddenly asked.
“Baking.” Y/N answered absentmindedly.
“Oh, that’s kind of boring. Quidditch is better, don’t you think?”
Y/N resisted the urge to sigh. Theodore never insulted her love for baking.
“Do you do anything else?” The boy questioned.
“I study.”
“Jeez, you really are boring. You wanna come to a party with me? I know a guy who’ll hook us up with some coke.”
“No thanks.” Y/N rested her cheek in the palm of her hand, watching the clock closely so she could dart away as soon as the date was over.
Someone suddenly pulled up a chair in front of Y/N. “Coke is boring.” Theodore uttered, “Baking is better.”
Y/N tried to conceal her smile since she was still upset with him, but when he winked at her, she couldn’t help it.
“What are you doing here, Nott?” The Gryffindor sneered.
“I’m here to thank you for keeping my girl company.” Theodore grinned, showing off his pearly white teeth. “Now, if you’ll excuse us.” He grabbed Y/N by the wrist, tugging her out of the cafe.
“Why do you choose the shittiest guys to go out with?” Theodore asked.
Y/N lightly huffed. “It’s not like I mean to. At least they don’t walk away from me when I’m trying to talk, though.”
“You still upset with me, love?”
“You hurt my feelings, Nott.” Y/N pulled out the lone cigarette, shoving it into Theodore’s hand, before hurrying off.
He quickly placed it between his lips and lit it. “Let me explain, love!” He exclaimed, chasing after her. He breathed out a mouthful of smoke.
“Okay. Then explain.” Y/N folded her arms over her chest.
“What? Here? Now?” When Theodore saw the unamused look on Y/N’s face, he sighed. “Fine, but this is going to sound stupid.” He took another hit from his cigarette, needing all the courage he could get.
He took a deep breath. “I think you’re wonderful person and I didn’t want to risk hurting you so I tried to distance myself but that backfired and I was trying to process my feelings because I’m Theodore Nott. I don’t do relationships. But you made me want to give it a go so I got scared and that made me do stupid shit like spilling coffee on Matt or running away or allowing Matt to push me down a hill.”
Y/N furrowed her brows. “What are you trying to say?”
“I like you, Y/N! I like the way you smile and the way your eyes light up and I like how you look and me and how fond you are of baking! I like how you take the time to make me cookies because it makes me feel special! You treat me so differently from other girls and that’s how I know you aren’t just around for a hook up! I like your perfume and your hair and your outfits and the way you skip when you’re happy and how you read classic Muggle books because you want a cute teen romance!”
“You noticed all of that… about me?”
“How could I not? You have such a charming aura and I can’t stand it because no matter how much I try to deny it, I like you.”
“You really like me?” Y/N knew about Theodore’s reputation and she’d be lying if she didn’t feel the same way. But what if he was just toying with her?
“I do.”
“Okay then. Hug me!” Y/N exclaimed, confident he was joking. Theodore shrugged before embracing her tightly. “Uh… hold my hand!” He intertwined their fingers without hesitation. “Kiss me!” Y/N was sure he wouldn’t do it but when he leaned down and pecked her lips, she froze.
“Are you done? There’s a lot more things I’d do for you, Y/N.”
“Are you sure you like me? Like, really? Because what if we get married and you decide you don’t like me but we already have two kids and a cat together? Who will keep the cat? Or will we have shared custody over it?” Y/N spoke so fast Theodore could hardly understand her.
“What about the children?” He asked, tilting his head to the side.
“What about the cat, Theo?”
“I really do like you, Y/N. Believe it or not. I’m willing to give dating a try… if it makes I can date you.”
“Please don’t break my heart, Theo.”
“I won’t.”
“Can we finally drink coffee together without you running off?” Y/N questioned, which earned her a small chuckle from Theodore.
“I won’t run away this time, love. I promise.”

song: yellow - coldplay
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were walking through the castle halls with your best friend, Cedric Diggory, wearing a blue sundress with your hair down and a ribbon holding two stands behind your head.
There were no classes today, so you decided to put on some light makeup as well and were taking a walk to the kitchens with Cedric.
"One day in the summer you need come over to my cottage, I can teach you how to bake," you announce, looking up at him as he drapes his arm around your shoulders.
"Hmm, I don't know if that would end well," he paused as he glanced down at you. "The last time you tried to bake with the house elves, you set the kitchen on fire," he laughs as he recalls you begging the house elves not to tell anyone.
"Okay that's not fair and you know it. You helped-"
"Y/n!"
You and Cedric turn around to see a smiling Draco Malfoy walking towards you both. His smile turns into a scowl as he sees Cedric's arm around you.
He quickly covers the jealousy with a charming smile as he looks back at your eyes that he adores.
"What now, Malfoy," Cedric sighs, already knowing what was going to happen.
Draco Malfoy was seen as rude to most people. So it was quite a shock to everyone when he asked you, a half-blood hufflepuff, out to hogsmeade for the first time in third year. You politely declined his offer because of some past encounters with him.
Although he has never said anything offensive to you, he has to your friends.
Your rejection didn't stop Draco from asking again. If anything, it made him want you more.
Ever since then, he has asked you out almost every week. Each time you rejected him, but it still didn't stop him.
Two years later he found himself in love with you. He has tried to get over you, but he can't picture himself with anyone that isn't you. If you were to ask him what he loved most about you, it would take more than a day to list everything. He grew up without much love, except from his mother, so it was a rather odd feeling when he first started to fancy you.
The first time he had gotten some hope for the two of you was when you had agreed to go to the yule ball with him last year. He thanked Merlin and almost cried of happiness. It was most definitely the best night of his life. You two had ended up almost kissed but were interrupted by Snape.
Back to present time, he asked if he could speak to you in private. Cedric looked over at you to make sure it was okay, you nodded and told him you would join him in a few minutes.
Draco gently grabbed your hand and pulled you into an empty classroom.
“You look so beautiful, darling” he compliments as you feel yourself lightly blushing as you avoids his eyes.
You should be use to the compliments by now since he gives them several times a day, but that doesn’t stop your cheeks from turning a light pink shade each time. He finds it adorable and hopes to be the only one to have the affect on you.
“Thank you, what is it you wanted to talk about?”
“Look, you know how much I fancy you- the whole bloody school knows. I- I just want you to give me one chance, love. If you truly don’t feel the same way about me than I’ll accept that,” he starts, his voice growing quieter as he leans towards your face.
“Please, sweetheart,” he whispers, his eyes dropping to your beautiful rosy lips as you gently pull the bottom one in between your teeth in thought.
“Um... okay,” you whisper with a small nod and smile.
He froze, before the biggest smile makes its way to his face. His lips brush against yours as he asks if it’s okay for him to kiss you.
You respond by gently pressing your warm lips to his slightly cold ones. He warps his arm around your waist pulling you closer to him as the other hand is holding your cheek. You run your hands through his hair and gently tug, getting a light groan from him.
You slowly pull back as you look at him in awe. His hair messy, his tie loose around his neck, his cheeks tinted red, his stunning eyes bright, and his lips slightly swollen.
“You are very pretty, you know,” you blurt out, turning your head in slight embarrassment.
He gently grabs your face and tilts your head so you’re looking at him. “Thats all you, angel. My pretty girl,” he whispers to you.
You peck his lips before slowly kissing down his jaw, trailing your mouth down his neck. Your gentle butterfly kisses and your teeth grazing his skin get some more low groans from him.
“As much as I’m enjoying this, love, if you keep doing that, you’re not going to be leaving this room anytime soon,” he grins.
You trail your lips back up to his, giving a quick peck before taking two steps back. “You’re right, I have forgotten about how I was supposed to go back to Cedric, do I look okay?”
“You look perfect as always, darling,” he replies while watching you straighten your hair with your hands.
“I don’t know you what you see in Diggory anyways”
“Oh knock it off,” you laugh hitting his shoulder as you start walking to the door.
“I’ll see you at dinner, yeah?”
“Mhm, bye Draco,” you smile at the boy, giving him one last look over.
Tumblr media
As Draco enters the common room, he finds his best friend, Blaise Zabini, doing some potions work on the couch.
He walks over and drops onto the couch next to him. Blaise glances up, back at his paper, and then whips his head to the boy when he takes in his state.
"I- what have you been doing"
"You'll never guess, mate," Draco sighs dreamily recalling your kiss.
"Does it happen to do with a certain cute hufflepuff that you happen to be obsessed with?"
"Maybe, and I am not obsessed with her"
"And I enjoy doing potions homework"
"You told me you did," Draco lies.
"No I didn't"
"Yes, you did"
"No, I didn't"
"Yes, you did"
"No, I didn't!"
"No, you didn't"
"Yes, I did!"
"Aha!" Draco grins in victory.
Blaise rolls his eyes, "did you two kiss?"
"Maybe we did, maybe we didn't," Draco shrugs.
"Good for you, it took long enough"
Tumblr media
A few months later, you and Draco were a happy couple and were so close to one another. Since that day you first kissed, he somehow found a way to be with you almost all of the time.
You two were sitting on the grass outside, you both sneaked out, and Draco was showing you the constellation that he was named after.
He suddenly turned and tickled your stomach as you fell backwards laughing.
"D- Draco! St- op, I c- an't breathe! L- let me go-" You laugh as he gives you a few seconds to take some breaths.
"Never, sweetheart," he says rolling on top of you.
"Get off of me you oaf!" You giggle trying to push him off of you.
"Let me think about that, hmm... how about no," he says pecking your lips.
You then flip the both of you so you were now straddling him as your hair surrounding your faces. You lean down and kiss him softly. Pulling back slowly, his lips follow you and you lightly laugh. You look at him with such love and wonder how you got so lucky.
Draco happens to be thinking the same thing as he kisses to again and rests his forehead on yours.
"I love you," he whispers.
"I love you more," you whisper back.
"Not possible, love"

Heaven Above - Draco x Reader
Prompt: Draco finds you late at night in the astronomy tower, set during 5-6th year.
Pairing: Draco x Slytherin!Reader
Tumblr media
On black nights where the air stood still and the sky was littered with flashing bulbs of hope she came and sat on the highest peak of the astronomy tower. Her legs were curled against her chest, squeezed uncomfortably tight by her frail arms. It was cold; not cold enough to shiver but cold enough to sit and ponder in thoughts that swirled within them the very galaxy.
Of course, she wasn’t allowed up here so late - no one was. It was so much like a game, one of the only thrills she partook in. It was worth it for her, even if she were to get caught; but she never did, not by wandering prefects, not by professors or other misbehaving students. Never by them.
She was caught by the moon, and the stars, and creatures watching from the forest she wasn’t aware of. But she was aware of the moon, aware of the planets and the yearning which pulled her closer, which made her twinkling eyes widen just that little bit more, made her inhale just that little bit deeper and made her nostalgic for lifetimes ago that she never really experienced.
It was the sort of magic the professors never taught, the sort of magic which had no history books or lessons to attend or true believers. Magic from another world, so much more fragile and fussy than the magic which spouted from her wand. It took tender love and peculiar attention for this magic to blossom; the kind which granted wishes made on stars and pleas blown on dandelions.
Y/N let her legs dangle along the edge, fighting the cold stone against her skin. She planted her palms firmly next to her hips and she pondered on her own self and the foreboding which wrapped her in chills. She imagined she was the dandelion, and her petals were blown to be forever spread across the cosmos, never to be seen again.
'Don't get too close to the edge lest you fall,'
She heard the familiar voice of Draco echo around the tower and into the distantness of the night. She pressed her lips into a thin line, and slowly turned to see the blonde boy standing with posture so rigid and his blue gaze piercing through the darkness.
She met his gaze, her own expression unreadable. 'Malfoy,' she acknowledged, taken aback from the unexpected company.
Y/N and Draco had spent the entirety of their schooling at Hogwarts in the same house, exchanging glances and polite nothings.
In second year, the glances became longing and stares became more noticeable. Polite exchanges became longer and their seats in the great hall grew closer. Their friends became mutual and late night study in the library turned into giggles.
In third year their hands brushed each others during potions class, receiving unapproving looks from Snape. Weekends were spent with butter beer moustaches and unexpected flowers plucked from gardens.
In fourth year Draco asked Y/N to the Yule Ball and she was sorry to tell him that a Durmstrang boy had already asked her and she had said yes. Draco watched that year as she danced the night away with another boy, his heart heavy with unspoken emotions.
His eyes held the same look now as they did that night and she saw his face heavy with grief as the moonlight illuminated his features, 'Y/L/N,'
She motioned for him to join her, a flicker of sympathy softening her features even more - as if he didn't melt her just by being a flame.
Draco joined her on the cold floor of the astronomy tower, the moon bathing them in her light. For a moment, they simply sat in silence, legs swinging in the tension, taking in the breathtaking view of the night sky stretched out before them.
'It's beautiful, isn't it?' Y/N murmured, her voice barely above a breathy whisper as she gazed to the stars.
Draco nodded in agreement, sneaking a glance of Y/N's side profile. He noted how flushed her lips were from the cold, how rosy she was and how the scent in her long hair enveloped them in peonies and myrtle with the gentle blows of the wind.
'Why are you out here?'
'I could ask you the same thing,'
'That’s true,' she smiled, 'But I asked you first,'
Draco couldn't help but return her smile, he always had a soft spot for her. 'I just needed some air,' he admitted, his tone laced with a reserve that hinted against his own words. 'Now you,'
'I just needed some air,' Y/N parroted, a glint of mischief lighting her up momentarily as they both let out a slight chuckle. She laid her heavy head on the willing shoulder next to her and he relished in her touch.
Draco felt a rush of warmth flood through him as Y/N mirrored his words, her playfulness always brought a sense of lightness to the atmosphere and he wishes he could selfishly lock her into a box, all for himself.
'Do you remember the first time we snuck out of the castle together?' he asked suddenly, breaking the tranquil silence that had settled between them. It was a moment he had buried deep within himself, yet it resurfaced now in the stillness.
Y/N lifted her head from his shoulder, looking at him inquisitively. 'How could I forget?' she replied, her voice filled with amusement. 'It seems like life times ago now,' she remembered, of course she remembered.
She let out a heavy sigh upon the resurgence of buried memories, her gaze faltering to the twiddling thumbs in her lap. Her watering eyes met his and she couldn’t help but let out a sob, her eyes fluttering with embarrassment.
'What happened to us?' She breathed out shakily.
Draco reached out instinctively, his thumb brushing away her tears as he met her gaze with an unwavering intensity. 'I wish I knew,' he admitted softly, his voice tinged with regret.
With a lingering kiss on her forehead. Y/N leaned into his touch, seeking comfort in his warmth as she struggled to compose herself. She reached out to rub his forearm to comfort him too but Draco had flinched, frantically pulling the white sleeves of his shirt down. And with a silent knowing glance, she knew exactly what happened to them.

Birthday Buzz
Mattheo Riddle x Reader
Tumblr media
A/N: hi! loving your feedback and constructive criticism, so if you feel like sharing your opinion, feel free to do such! love ya
Summary: How birthday day can go in such a different way than initially planned.
Warnings: oh yes! language, some mild graphics (make-up lol), bitchy Pansy, and... have I mentioned language??
Word Count (bruh): 5.1k
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
No one would have convinced Y/N in the morning that what had just transpired was coming around, in such a slapdash rapidity as it had. Even so, with that clear-cut fact smacking her right across the face was it still so damn hard to believe that... that it was true.
She must be hallucinating. Or dreaming. Even the phenomenon of swines with the wings in the air would have been more feasible than... what was that exactly?
It all started with Y/N descending to the Great Hall, the walls woven with the luminant sunlight of the spring. Entering the room, humid and somewhat irksome (it was Monday, everything is irksome on Mondays, alright?), she instantly noticed a few details: McGonagall's new insipid hairstyle, the plate with her go-to breakfast already stowed in her regular sitting spot, Pansy’s huge grin tacked on her lips, and Blaise missing. The latest part surprised Y/N the most because she knew that Blaise would never skip a breakfast, and these were his usual hours of arriving; maybe he had already eaten?
Also, what’s the Pansy’s deal with smiling like a madman who overdosed on the crack?
What in the world...
“Haiya you!” Pansy scrambled to her feet, without giving Y/N a chance to query. “Guess what! Or no, you are so bullshit at guessing anyways... Slytherin is throwing a party today!”
The last part of her sentence came out in a feverish murmur, so that the Teachers’ Table wouldn’t overhear their conversation, and only loud enough for Y/N to hear. Still, her excitement was speaking volumes and Y/N wondered quickly whether Pansy really hadn’t dosed on a shot or two before the breakfast. Not that she wasn’t like that on a daily basis.
“What? It’s literally the beginning of the week.”
“But not every week does someone have a birthday!” As Pansy’s elation gently receded, was then Y/N able to finally to abscond herself at the table and munch on the already-prepared food. Upon seeing Y/N frowning, Pansy let out a shrill shriek which made a few people nearby glance crabwise at the two. “You didn’t forget, did you?”
“About what?”
Another shriek followed. “Mattheo’s birthday!”
An awkward grimace popped on Y/N’s face, brows knitting together. “Well... if you haven’t noticed, we are not precisely on the friendly terms.”
Pansy made a fish-like O with her mouth, obviously about to say something appeasing, but the grunt next to Y/N interrupted. Promptly, she looked for the owner of the voice and was astonished to learn that the rest of their group was siding just next to her and Pansy, ostensibly listening to their exchange from the starters.
“Well, well... just look who has finally decided to acknowledge the rest of her friends. Good morning to you too, Y/N.”
She smirked. “No need to be so bitter, Theo. A few more years of practice and you may replace Snape in his disgruntlement.” A snort issued at the table and Y/N, complacent, grinned cheekily at Theo who only huffed. “Oh, don’t be like that, Theo, you know I love you.” Laying her head against his shoulder, she patted him at the top of his head. “There, there...”
“So... party you say,” spoke up Draco for the first time. He was chewing on his morning toast, evidently amused by the entire scene, but his eyes had a ghost of a question in them. Y/N already knew that this topic wasn’t going to slip by as easily. “Have you really forgotten about Mattheo?”
A smear of naked embarrassment splattered on Y/N’s cheeks. A part of her wanted to tell everyone to back off and just let her be, but at the same time, she knew she had blundered. It didn’t matter if they were close with Mattheo or not; they belonged to the same coterie, so it entangled some commitment. Even if that indicated associating with the bombastic entitlement of Mattheo for longer than the ideal time.
“Mhm... Yeah. You know. How was I supposed to know, really. We barely talk.” While saying so, Y/N made sure to perform the best glower she could pull off. She felt extremely petulant while doing so, but she wanted to fend for herself and not let anyone manoeuvre her into culpability.
“I told you about that, like two days ago!” Pansy had a distinct air of displeasure, as though personally offended by the occurrence. “I specifically highlighted ‘please, try to remember, it’s important’ and you said ‘fine’!”
“Well, I did not remember. And so, what? Don’t make such a big fuss about that. It’s not like he cares anyways,” Y/N said that with a nose in her breakfast plate, trying to avert the gaze from the rest, especially from Pansy who seemed to be at the brink of incredulity.
She should have remembered though. She should have.
Shit, shit, shit...
Theo grunted again. “It’s not the end of the world, Pansy, we only have to find a way to... make Y/N appear like she’s not an ignorant brat who forgot about her friend's birthday.” A beat. Theo peeked at Y/N goadingly, but she was already shooting daggers at him; that made him smirk. “She can pin her name on the present we got with Blaise.”
“Thank you, that’s really sweet,” said Y/N, making a U-turn and smiling gratefully at her friend. Gosh, she didn’t know what she would have done without this insolent arse. In order to take the limelight off herself, Y/N continued: “Why did you decide to organize the party so last-minute, anyways?”
“We didn’t know till now if we would be able to smuggle the booze,” said Draco through the half-full mouth.
“And how ar--”
“Don’t ask,” interjected Pansy with the look that explicitly indicated that Y/N wouldn’t like to know that piece of information. “Blaise is fixing everything.”
In response, Y/N merely nodded.
“So here is a deal,” Pansy continued after a beat. She lowered her timbre as if revealing a top-secret gossip to a bunch of nine-year-olds. “When Mattheo comes down, we are going to pretend like we don’t remember about his birthday. He is going to be sulking all day long and stuff-”
“Highly doubt th-”
“However.” If the looks could kill, Theo would be surely laying prostrate, French-kissing the floor. “At around...” She looked at her wristwatch. “8-ish, Y/N will ask Mattheo if he could help her out, at the same time hauling him to the Common Room. And that’s when all of us will jump out and hold a fucking “Surprise” banner right in front of his pretty face. Clear much?”
Y/N exhaled, with one nagging thought in her head. Why was she always the one to be arranged in such a setting with Mattheo? Her friends were acutely aware of the enmity between the two, yet they always impelled them to work together, both if it came to the school projects or even the group hangouts when everyone – beside her and Mattheo, obviously – would suddenly mingle out of the gathering last-minute.
As if sensing the ongoing dissension in Y/N’s head, Pansy critically eyed Y/N and furrowed, precisely addressing her concerns: “Something to add, Y/N?”
“No, I love the plan,” she replied quickly, after a moment of contemplation. “It’s that I’m not sure about the latest bit. I—I don’t know if he will accede, you know, with helping me out. We aren’t that friendly, so it may seem a tad suspicious that all of the sudden I’m asking him for a favour.”
No one said anything for a couple of seconds, but everyone seemed to be having the same hardwired thought as they threw each other the same bemused look, chewing the silence away. The tension of the message, so palpable it was, that it made Y/N snap out of the anticipation; she turned to Pansy, catching the waft of her strong double expresso, and then ogled each of her friends with an expectant eye.
“What?” Her tone seemed brusque, even to herself. “Why are you all acting so... meek? Is there something I don’t know about?” And then, the thought dawned at her: “Has Mattheo said something about me?”
Another round of chary looks followed, but before anyone was able to lodge a definite answer to the barrage of Y/N’s questions, the voice from behind echoed:
“Morning, everyone.”
Y/N whirled so abruptly, it almost cost her a whiplash, but when she saw the way Mattheo suited himself today, it most definitely caused her that whiplash. He was clad in a button-up shirt, the last couple of buttons undone and exposing the cleavage; his hair of the usual dark-brown curl was tumbling in its usual haphazard style and accentuating his prominent cheekbones; most definitely, the vague scar across his face did not make Y/N anyhow randy. Anyhow!
What struck Y/N the most, however, was the halo above his head – sunlight seeping through the Great Hall’s windows and highlighting Mattheo’s figure. The image was so angelic, so lofty, it suddenly caused the dryness in her throat. She thought she must be melting under those caramel-brown eyes like a humongous puddle of sweat and adoration.
No, she most definitely did not develop a crush on her frenemy, that couldn’t be right.
Y/N suddenly realized that she might be gawking, so she promptly returned to her previous position, all her aptitude to eat and breathe gone. Sidewise, she also noticed Pansy grinning knowingly at her, and when Y/N gave her an evil eye, she merely shrugged in a manner of “you know what I mean.”
Mattheo, instead of occupying his usual spot at the table, squeezed in between Y/N and some Slytherin second-year. Y/N had a vague impression that he was awaiting his friends to suddenly burst singing “Happy Birthday” or bestow him with wishes, because his lips were pressed in a thin line, and he was silently scooping the porridge from the ornamental bowl.
“So, what’s new, Mattheo?” asked Theo which felt so widely inappropriate that Y/N suddenly had an urge to boot him.
From this proximity, Y/N could perceive the brief flash of hurt across Mattheo’s features, but that was only for milliseconds. He plastered a sham smile on his face, and only tipped off with a short: “Not much.”
“We were actually talking,” started Pansy, carefully. “That Y/N needed some tutoring in Potions.” This time, Y/N seriously contemplated booting someone. Namely, Pansy. “Maybe you could help her, Mattheo? You are good at Potions, right?”
Dismissing Pansy’s last question, Mattheo finally eyed Y/N who was maxing out the redness of her face. She gave him a bashful smile. “Really? I thought you were good at Potions.”
The blankness overcame her. Y/N, clearly at whom the question was directed, tried to contrive a blatant lie but failing more and more as the seconds elapsed. Panic-stricken, she looked at Pansy who was witnessing the entire fall with a pained expression.
Shit.
“I-- I have a problem with this n-new topic. Something connected with Pepperup Potion,” she finally spluttered out, after what felt like forever. Once more, she glanced at Pansy who gave her the thumbs-up (that crone!), but she made the point of averting Mattheo’s gaze. “But sure, if you don’t want t--”
“No problem,” he broke off Y/N’s exhausted ramble. “Around 6-ish then?”
“Actually,” said Pansy. “Me and Y/N are headed to the Hogsmeade at that time. Girly things, you know. Maybe you can meet up, afterward, like 7-ish?”
“Mhm, yeah, why not. As long as it’s okay with Y/N.” He shortly looked at her but she, mortified, merely responded with a nod of agreement.
“It’s settled then!” Pansy exclaimed a coda with a sort of exuberance which, apparently, nobody else shared. And Y/N couldn’t help but think how interesting her one-to-one with Mattheo is going to be.
XOXOXOXXOXOXOXXOXO
Precisely two minutes before the appointed time, Y/N was at the foot of the library, taking in deep breaths.
She didn’t know why she felt so overwrought. She thought she must be overreacting. It’s not like her and Mattheo hadn’t been alone with each other before.
Rather, the opposite – they had been. Plenty of times.
The worst part was, or the funniest -- Y/N wasn’t sure in which terms she should regard that case – she constantly kept recollecting the same printed image of Mattheo from the morning. In his unbuttoned shirt, with that tousled hair which really gave him a look of a lead vocalist from the “Weird Sisters.” And the weirdest bit was that Y/N found that immensely attractive.
Maybe there was something wrong with her? Maybe it was her hormones butting in, her pre-period thirst for what’s been chucked by the universe? And again, why would the universe be afflicting her?
Deciding that she would probably not find any answers to those unabating thoughts, Y/N thought that there was no longer point of dangling in front of the entrance like some kind of mule. She pushed the door, treaded through a couple of book sections before finally localizing Mattheo with his usual cavalier aura. He was scribbling something rather intently on the piece of parchment in front of him, so much was he absorbed that he didn’t even flinch when Y/N strode over to the table.
She cleared her throat, announcing her presence. “Hey.”
He ultimately quirked up, and gosh was he so unbelievingly charming. Even after a day of meandering in the same clothes, he still made an impression of impeccable, and when his eyes met Y/N’s irresolute gaze, he smiled at her softly. Something flittered in Y/N’s stomach, and she only hoped that it was that sketchily-looking croissant that she had eaten.
“Hey,” he spoke in a stoic manner, simultaneously gesturing at the chair next to him. “Take a seat.”
And so she did; from that distance she could smell the scent of his cologne – cedarwood mixed with an enticing trace of bourbon. Damn him.
“Huh, so shall we start?” he asked as Y/N’s eyes were transfixed on his face. “Or will you just keep staring?”
At once, Y/N tore her gaze away from his face, a blush blotching her cheeks; she felt positively mortified, warmth venturing from the chest to the nape of her neck. Well, it will take her some time to recover from that... “Yeah,” she laughed out, breathlessly. “Sorry.”
He merely shook his head, then plucked the course book from his satchel, and dragged it between the two of them. Without further ado, he commenced explaining the topic to her (“Pepperup Potion is quite a facile topic” Yeah, no shit, Flamel) in his calming voice, tracing his finger over the ingredients and elucidating their cruciality in finalization of the potion.
And while he was explaining all of that, composed and unbothered as if it were his daily lark, Y/N was on the other side of the spectrum – never had her body undergone something like that: her brain muddled, thoughts garbled, heart doing cartwheels whenever she looked up at Mattheo. She even noticed those little things about him, like the way his fingers smoothly flipped the pages, the way he pursed his lips whenever he was deeply immersed in his thoughts, or even that he had this sweet, little habit of raking his fingers through his hair.
Y/N, at the same time, absolutely detested herself for having those thoughts – superficial, distractive, unnecessary, delusory, egregious, and...
She was staring again and, from the peripheries of his vision, Mattheo had noted that because he was eyeing her again in the matter of seconds, clearly saying something but Y/N couldn’t string those words together. Only after a couple of seconds did she parse what he had asked.
“Yes, I’m fine...” she answered, swallowing the pit in her throat. Then, she inspected her watch – 7.47 -- and decided that it was a high time for them to bestir. “I’m just feeling... tired. Maybe we should get going, you know.”
Mattheo eyed her for a few more jiffs before finally nodding. Y/N had a dim impression that something in terms of acrimony flashed across his face for a split moment, but that was quickly gone, and he was already shoving his belongings into the satchel.
Once they were out in the corridor, Y/N started: “Thank you for your help, you know. That means a lot.” She thought it a good idea to pass over her gratitude by touching his shoulder but boy was she wrong. The reaction was immediate: Mattheo stiffened under her touch and, like a scalded cat, took a stride backward; his breath hitched and even in a dull lighting as it was, she could discern how his pupils dilated; he raked his hand over his hair like he had done before.
Y/N froze, halting just as he had. Not sure what else to do, because she hadn’t done anything wrong really, she simply waited how this debacle was going to progress; she could have anticipated many things -- him throwing cusses at her, him laughing the entire situation off, even him casting curses at her. What she hadn’t expected, however, was Mattheo suddenly rushing in a different direction than the Common Room and leaving her lingering in the spot, not able to process rapidity of the shebang.
Maybe she should have felt contrite at the moment, maybe she should have given up, and simply informed her friends that the plan clearly hadn’t worked out, and that Mattheo was a prick, leaving her hanging like some kind of scum in the middle of the corridor. But she would be lying to herself then and poorly attempting to talk herself into believing that she didn’t care.
Yet she did, that’s why Y/N suddenly felt like the blood was curdling within her. Without administering that the words were spewing out of her mouth, she was already shouting after him:
“What’s your problem?” Mattheo stopped in his track, not turning around nor snorting at her, but simply standing still. He was waiting for her to continue. “Every time we are supposed to hang out with each other, every time I try to initiate the conversation with you, every time I smile and you ignore me, every time... I try so hard to be nice to you, try to act... civil, at least in front of our friends. But you always bring me down.” She didn’t even fathom how she had come up to him, but here she was – standing in front of Mattheo Riddle and cannoning the grudges that she had been keeping for years at him. It felt so... emancipating. “Even that one time when I cooked the brownies for Christmas, especially for you, and later you gave them away to Blaise. You know how humiliated I felt? That I spent time doing something for you, and you... so carelessly dismissed that? And, and... by the way, how much of the psychopath do you have to be as not to like brownies, on Merlin’s Beard!”
Her voice sounded so reedy in her ears, but she knew that she was just poorly trying to outshout the quiver in her voice or the prickling tears in her eyes. When a tear tumbled down her cheek, not wanting to unveil any accompanying emotions, she angrily wiped it away with a sleeve. Her gaze travelled downwards because she felt more waterworks coming about.
“I realize that you might hate me bu-”
“I don’t,” interjected Mattheo. For the first time, he shifted in his spot and when Y/N scrutinized his countenance, his lines had a note of desperation in them, earnestness that clearly stressed the truthfulness of his words. “I don’t hate you.”
“You don’t have to lie, Mattheo, I-”
“I don’t hate you,” he retaliated, sounding stern. And angry, in a way? Y/N must have misheard.
“Listen, Mattheo, I appreciate you trying to patch things up, but there’s no poin-”
But her sentence spiralled into the distant corners of the corridor, and Y/N piped down as Mattheo took a step closer, curtailing the distance between the two. Y/N cast her face downwards under Mattheo’s intense stare, but his hand travelled to her chin, forcing her to look at him once more. His thumb swiped over her cheek where the tear stain was, and it seemed like he was contemplating her dejection with a sour expression. For a moment, Y/N could swear that the air in her lungs disappeared altogether, and she just kept waiting for his next move, her eyes turned into the deer-in-the-headlights expression.
With the intent look, he bent over her, Y/N’s nostrils catching the scent of his cologne yet again, and he was leaning over to her ear. One of his hands moved over to her arm, clutching it lightly as if she was the most exquisite dainty porcelain set, and his mouth was just centimetres away from her earlobe. Y/N’s body went entirely rigid.
“I. Don’t. Hate. You,” he spelled out every syllable of his sentence, gravely, gutturally, slowly.
Something clicked in Y/N. No longer was she standing there spellbound, but maybe because of his intoxicating scent, maybe because of the intensity with which he had uttered his words, she was tugging him by his collar with both of her hands. She normally, a brief thought crossed her mind, wouldn’t have enough nerve to do something like that, but she kissed him -- her desperate, parched mouth travelled onto his.
For a moment, she asked herself if maybe she might be out of her mind for doing that or if Mattheo felt the same way she had this morning, or if he had ever considered her as more then... well, whatever they were. She soon found out the answer, however, because his lips momentarily detached themselves from her skin, and he was scanning her face with dilated pupils.
Instantly, Y/N pulled away and put her hands on the level with her head in the defensive mode like a child who had been caught red-handed while sneaking out the chocolate bars. The air was sucked out of her.
“I’m so, so sor-”
“It’s not the way I envisaged that...” His voice sounded positively berserk, feral even. Her hands pending mid-air, Mattheo drew them back to their previous place. In the middle of that maelstrom, Mattheo capitalized Y/N’s confusion by placing his hands on her lower back, flipped her so that now her body was positioned against the wall, moulded against him.
“And how have you envisaged that, exactly?” she muttered, her voice barely audible. She blinked a couple of times, disorientated, observing as a smirk curved on Mattheo’s lips.
“Let me show you how...”
His lips smashed against hers, and Y/N was happy to note that her feelings were requited after all. At first it started off gentle, but that quickly morphed into this voracious battle for dominance. They were devouring into each other's taste (Mattheo’s peppermint toothpaste), and he slid his tongue over her bottom lip, silently soliciting her for deepening the kiss.
She permitted, of course she did, parting her lips ever so widely, deliberating that if she ever were to die, that’s probably the only way she would have accepted the Grim Reaper in her warm, hospitable embrace. Much to her surprise, Mattheo took her by both of her wrists, pinned them above her head while his other hand was caressing the skin underneath her shirt.
His kisses were so fierce and zealous, Y/N couldn’t help it but feel the sudden yearning to be as close to him as possible; she draped one of her legs around his lower waist, aligning his body with hers as if they were the unity. It felt like they belonged together the whole life, just like yin and yang, and it was so ludicrous that they hadn’t realized that before.
His tongue flicked over her lips a couple more times, making the want pool around her abdomen, before he finally dipped lower and lower, reaching her neck and planting the sloppy kisses on it. It was as if though he couldn’t get enough of her taste, so ardent in his actions he was, and when he finally discovered the weak spot on her neck, he started sucking on it ever so roughly. Not quite able to quell it, she let out a small moan which apparently must have worked marvels on Mattheo because Y/N could suddenly sense the bulge of erection ramming against her thigh.
She was torn. From one side, she wanted to do this so badly, the knot in her lower parts specifically betrayed that, but she knew that it would be so wrong and thorny if they elevated that to another level.
Yet, it was so hard to focus with Mattheo’s lips leeched to her neck, signaturing her skin in the most conspicuous way.
“Don’t... you think... that we sho...uld talk this over... first?” Y/N rasped out with an evident difficulty.
“What’s there to talk about?” he muttered in between the kisses, his hand still circling on Y/N’s belly and dangerously nearing to her bra. “I’ve wanted this since forever. And clearly, so did you.”
Y/N released an amused, hoarse chuckle but that silenced her only for a few seconds before she finally deciphered his words. Particularly, the one resonated in her mind: forever. A paroxysm of joy sprung up in her.
“So, you felt like that for a long time?”
Mattheo, apparently cognizing that Y/N wasn’t going to relinquish the topic easily, halted. He withdrew both of his hands, instead placing them on each side of the wall where Y/N was residing. His chest was still moving rapidly, hair rumpled, and pupils almost entirely replacing the irises of his eyes. As Y/N examined him briefly, she thought she must be out of her mind for ceasing their make-out in the first place.
Too late for reversion, anyways.
After a few inhales, he finally started: “Well, haven’t you noticed? This entire time, that I-” With a small gloss of hesitation, he looked her in the eyes, assiduously. “I have been crazy about you. For so long. I don’t even remember how it feels to be sane, because whenever I’m around you I just... want to grab you and kiss you senseless.”
Y/N balked. Things got another notch inexplicable, and Y/N wasn’t sure anymore if she was dreaming and perhaps was stuck in a different universe where cats were the heads of the Ministry, Pansy was Gryffindor, and Mattheo was besotted with her. That would be more possible, from all Y/N could think of.
“Really?” A blush suffused her cheeks. “I thought you hated me! All those signs – always avoiding me, never talking to me... This didn’t necessarily appear to me as... what you just said.”
“Listen.” His palm covered hers and he squeezed it lightly a couple of times. “All of that was just a game. I didn’t want to weird you out nor did I know if you reciprocated my feelings. That’s why I tried to... avoid you, if you will.” He stopped for a moment, just staring Y/N, enchanted, as if there was nothing else in the world, both of them captured in slow-motion where nothing else around them mattered. The silence between them was only raptured by their quick breathing and the hammering in their chests. “In truth, the way you... move and talk, it’s all driving me mad. Fuck! I want to be with you, be able to kiss you whenever I desire, want to touch you and be there for you whenever you feel down... Y/N, I want to do so many things with you, and you don’t even know that. But how could you, right?”
As if pained, he closed his eyes with a microscopic grimace and he licked his lips, as if reminiscing the tastes of her on his skin. With guilt flaring up, Y/N cupped his cheek in her palm and stroked over it again and again. He seemed to be enjoying that as he leaned into her touch, his frayed nerves somewhat tranquilized.
“You know, I like you too,” Y/N said, and before Mattheo was able to protest as he opened his mouth with the clear intention of doing so, Y/N proceeded: “I really do! It was just that... I was trying to tell myself otherwise because I wasn’t sure of how you would react. And when you waltzed into the Great Hall today, looking like that, I realized that... I’ve been lying to myself. And- and are you mad?”
He furrowed. “Mad? What for?”
“For screaming at you earlier.” Y/N pursed her lips.
Gently smiling, he smooched her lips shortly, and Y/N fleetingly missed the heat of his body on hers. “No, I was a dick.” Another smooch. “Although, I would specifically like to highlight that I didn’t give these cookies away to Blaise. He stole them.”
With poorly faked disapprobation, she shook her head but soon enough, a grin adorned her features. “That shithead.”
Mattheo chuckled and he was about to kiss Y/N again when...
“There you two are, I was looking all over for you two and--” Pansy prowled from around the corner, clearly with annoyance painted on her face but when she discerned the view right in front of her, with Y/N positioned against Mattheo, she smirked. “Well, well... Y/N, I told you to sneak him into the Common Room, not to woo him.” Y/N palm-faced herself but Pansy, not taking on the social hints, continued: “But have it your way, I guess...”
“Pansy, I think we would like to be left alone for now and if you could-”
“No,” Pansy interposed, folding her arms together. “It’s your birthday party, Mattheo! It was supposed to be a surprise, but someone...” She leered at Y/N with a pointed look. “...clearly can’t control themselves and restrain her animalistic instincts, irrespective of the plan that her other friends set up.”
“In her defence--”
“And I’m not going to be a shitty friend who forgets about her best friend’s birthday! So, collect yourself a little and schedule bumping uglies on a different time.” With that, the pitter-patter of her stilettos faded away, while both Mattheo and Y/N stood stunned in their spot.
“That’s not how I planned it,” Y/N explained quickly. “Especially the “bumping uglies” part.”
Mattheo chuckled with hilarity sparkling in his eyes. “I know.”
“And I’m sorry about your birthday, we were supposed to act like we have forgo-”
“Doesn’t matter.” Mattheo smiled finally at her, covering her mouth with his. “It’s still the best birthday I have ever had.

“Come on Pansy, a little party never killed nobody” I said as I entertained our dorm.
I hated seeing her like this after the breakup. Her messy hair, makeup smudged all over her eyes. Always crying and never smiling. I can’t deny that she loved Draco more than anything but he couldn’t ruin her any more. I walked up to her and lifted her head.
“Just one party, so you can show him his loss” I tried to convince her.
“Y/n do we really have to do that” she asked. I looked at her and she knew that I’m not gonna let up on her.
“We’re going to have so much fun and since it’s a Halloween party you can dress as slutty as it’s possible.” I told her. “But I’m dressing as an unknown slut because I want to spend the whole night with you.”
“Thanks.” she said while hugging me.
I couldn’t say that I feel responsible for what happened because I persuaded boys to have their nights while I spent the whole night with Pansy and it turned out that Draco cheated on her.
“Let’s get ready if we want to look like something,” she said.
After some time me and Pansy were looking at our reflections in the mirror. “Wow you look like not you” Pansy claimed. “You really did a great job because I wouldn’t recognize you sober, not to talk about being under the influence” she added.
“I tried my best,” I told her.
She was right. I put on a red haired wig, did my red lips which I was never doing this way and put on the most revealing top I had. My matching tattoo with Pansy was visible which only me and Pansy knew about since we did it on that fucking night. I didn’t have occasion to show it to Mattheo because Pansy was more important at that time. So I could proudly say that even I didn’t recognize myself.
“But let’s talk about you. You look like the reason why Draco is going to regret even more that mistake he did” I complimented her.
“You think so,” she asked while pushing her boobs even more. She looked delightful in this claret mini dress.
“I’m not blind” I said.
She screamed and this was probably the first time she smiled in the last few days.
“I think I did too much by wearing this skirt” I said as we’re walking to the club because I had to lower it every 5 minutes .
“Shut up and put on your  mask already” she commanded me while she was dragging me.
But I could swear that by every step my ass was visible but does it really matter if Pansy was happy.
“Are you ready?” I asked her as we’re standing in front of the club. She just dragged me inside.
Music was blasting too loud and there were drunk people and alcohol everywhere. But I missed this feeling when our group was going out to party. I was walking behind Pansy which was almost running to the bar.
Alcohol sometimes was healing wounds and sometimes was fixing relationships. But most of the time alcohol ruins everything.
I was looking for Mattheo because we didn’t spend much time together lately. He was comforting Draco and I was comforting Pansy. I saw Theo with a random girl which wasn’t anything new. Blaise was standing near the wall with Draco. Malfoy was wasted and Zabini was telling him something. Lorenzo was dancing and Mattheo was just a wallflower but he was smoking as usual. He looked so pretty and I wanted to run and hug him but instead Pansy gave me a drink. I could tell this night couldn’t just end up good. After endless measures of alcohol and dance I took Pansy outside. I needed to smoke.
“How do you feel?” I asked Pansy while giving her lighter.
“Like I was reborn, I missed this feeling” she responded while inhaling a cigarette.
“I’m glad that you’re happy after all” I said and put my head on her shoulder. “ Drunk cig is the best thing in the whole world,” I added.
This night was so peaceful. The moon was shining, a cold wind was whipping all over my body but it didn’t matter. It was just me and Pansy against the world. I felt relieved that it’s going to be okay, everything will be as it used to be. And then he came. He ruined this moment. Draco fucking Malfoy and Blaise who was trying to stop him. But Draco always got what he wanted, no matter what. Sometimes alcohol makes us do what we don’t want to do sober. I looked at Pansy and she became so pale, and I could already see that her eyes had become watery.
“Y/n leave us alone, and take Blaise with you” she whispered.
I took her mask and I got up. I looked at her last time then I walked up to Blaise. I pushed him and gave him Pansy’s mask. “Stay there and give it to Pansy when they’re done” I said and inside the club. I headed to the bar and ordered myself another drink. Then I walked up to Mattheo.
“You must love your girlfriend so much,” I claimed.
“How do you know I even have one?” he asked and smiled.
“You came to the club, you’re being a wallflower and you ignore every girl that tries to do anything with you” I stated.
“I didn’t know that Pansy had a new friend,” he said.
“Because I’m not her new friend. I just met her while I was going there” I responded to him and took a sip from my drink. Just don’t break the character.
“Yeah, I love her more than anything” he sighed, then he took a photo from wallet. It was our photo. “She's just so great. I don’t know what I did in my previous life but I don’t deserve her. She’s so kind and takes care not only for me but for our friends. Maybe she’s doing that because nobody ever did that for her. She’s like a guardian angel. Always know what to do or what to tell when life sucks. She’s making our life better even though she doesn't have a good life. She’s smart without even trying, and so lovely. I love it when she comes to my dorm and just starts talking because I usually don’t know what to say. She fills the void in my life, even when she’s saying random facts about things I’ve never heard of. Y/n is just like a Sun. I wish she was here tonight because in the past few days we didn’t spend so much time with each other and I miss her” he added. But something about him was off. It didn’t feel right because he wasn’t the kind of man who would say things like this. Not even drunk.
“You don’t look happy” I said because he wasn’t happy when he told me this.
“Because I’m not, I hurt her so much” he responded. And at that moment my heart dropped.
Don’t break the character.
“If you hurt her, why is she with you?” I asked and looked at the photo once again.
“I didn’t tell her, I just can’t hurt her even more,” he responded.
“Then tell me, so maybe you will feel better” I said while he was passing me a cigarette.
“Y/n and I had awful fight. So I did what I do the best and I drank. I drank to much and got into a fight. She was nowhere to clean my wounds, tell me nice things, just comfort me. This random girl came to me. She looked so much as Y/n and she comforted me. And that's the part where I hurt her. That's the part where I start hating myself. I kissed that girl. It  wasn't something intimate or valid to me. I break the kiss right after I kissed her but I still fucked up. This few fucking second wasn’t worth it at all. I don't know what I'm supposed to do” he said but I could tell it was a relief to him.
My eyes became watery and I wanted to hit him, not once, not twice, I wanted to just hit till somebody pulled me away. The only man I’ve ever loved turned out to be just like any other man. At that moment he ruined everything. I wanted to tell him something but I was so close to start crying so I just inhaled a cigarette. I looked again at our photo. We were so happy… I was so happy. Just me and him at Black Lake on our anniversary date. I was too bustling looking at this photo and I didn’t spot Pansy and Draco coming to us. Together. And then she ruined everything. She was happy and drunk so she didn’t care anymore of me and Mattheo being together.
“Y/n” she screamed “Me and Draco get back together”
“Y/n” Mattheo whispered and tried to touch me but I was already walking to Pansy.
“I’m so happy, but now I need to clear my head. And tomorrow I’m going to kill you and Draco for all this” I told her while hugging her. I tried so hard not to cry but she was too drunk to notice anything. She just waved at me and I got lost in the crowd.
I was sliding through the crowd, while taking off my mask and wig. My eyes were burning but I couldn’t cry here. I couldn’t cry on Mattheo’s eyes. He doesn’t get the view of me being like this. All of a sudden I was sober. Alcohol vanished into thin air just like my happiness. The only thing that had left was this fucking photo. I walked outside and a cold wind smashed my bare shoulders, but I didn’t care and he touched my hand. His touch, once so warm now, was even colder than the wind.
“Y/n wait. Don’t go. Love I’m…” Mattheo said.
“Don’t call me love, you lost everything to call me this” I chopped him off.
“Don’t say this” he responded and tried to hold my face in his arm but I shifted away.
“How long you wanted to keep this. You tell this random girl but you can’t even look at me now” I told him. But his eyes were telling me everything. I snorted because I didn’t care what I’m going to do next.
“You see how happy we were back then” I said and showed him a photo. “I hope that you’re going to remember that because it’s not going to happen anymore.” I screamed and mussed the photo just to throw it in his face.
I started walking, completely ignoring his calling out. I didn’t care anymore. I couldn’t care anymore about the man that broke my heart. I didn’t care. I didn’t care that I left the love of my life in the middle of the road. I didn’t care that I ruined the only thing that has left from the time I was happy in the middle of the road.
Alcohol sometimes was healing wounds and sometimes was fixing relationships. But most of the time alcohol ruins everything.

Theodore Nott x reader
Catagory: Angst, fluff
Warnings: Mentions of wounds and blood. Booth of them are complete dumbasses. Reader is a tiny bit sensitive, but rightfully so.
Summary: Theodore is lonelier than ever, especially after receiving the dark mark. So he tries to find peace in new things. Like Choirs.
Words: 7.2 k
OBS! I gave reader a last name. Oak, but her first name is still your own but just so everyone knows
A/N: Uh, it's long. I don't know if I love it or hate it, but I'm also really tired so I don't have the energy to think. But also, what writers like what they write? So here you go.
Tumblr media
(I'm not religious, but god seriously has his favorites)

His room couldn't contain the warmth that it used to hold during the summer. The fire from his fireplace couldn't keep up with the autumn's chill breezes and cold rains. The heat easily simmered out through the cracks of the old windows, leaving Theodore with stale fingers and cold toes.
On a normal day, he might've complained. When he was younger, he used to despise the cold, always missing the summer rays during the quiet winter. But now? He wasn't sure that he disliked it anymore. The chill air became the only thing that understood the echoing emptiness in his chest.
"I'm joining the Choir." He said absentmindedly. A quick decision he took during the dark hours layered itself with pity and sadness.
"That's rash. I thought you hated Choirs." Blaise mumbled from his seat on the carpeted floor.
Theodore shifted in his soft duvets." I don't hate them, I just don't understand the point of it."
Blaze's face scrunched in confusion and he looked away from his book to watch the other young man mindlessly play with the corners of his sheets." Then why are you joining one?"
Theodore only sighed. He didn't intend to answer Blaise. He wouldn't understand. Blaise had yet to receive the itching curse on his wrist and therefore hadn't been tied to bad things for the rest of his life. Or perhaps, Theodore had become selfish during the quiet days of his suffering.
"Well, I don't care if join or not, but maybe keep it quiet from Draco... and the others." Theodore hummed absentmindedly. If Malfoy would ever find out about Theodore joining something so 'muggly' as a choir, he would stuff Theo in a box and send him straight to the doorstep of Voldermort.
"I know."
Blaize looked at Theodore for any reaction but turned his attention to the book in his lap when Theo only continued to stare at the ceiling.
"Have you packed? We're leaving in two days." He easily rerouted the conversation.
--
The smell of food made Theodore sick to his stomach. Before he left, he hoped that his appetite would return when the warm food that the elves of Hogwarts made entered his nostrils, but his hopes were all in despair.
Classes had been going on for six days and focusing had already been proven to be a task.
Professor Flitwick stopped him in the corridor the earlier day to speak to him about the request for joining his 'Frog choir', as it was called. Professor Flitwick had thought that it was a mere prank. So Theodore stood in the corridor for 10 minutes explaining to the professor that he didn't pull a prank on him.
And now, he sat by the lunch table, idly waiting for the clock to tick to its designated hour. The choir lesson. He had been asked by Blaise at the beginning of the lunch if he were alright, and he had lied with a clump of nerves stuck in his throat.
He wished to believe his nerves only existed to tease him. But his nerves seemed to be right, for it seemed that wherever he went, eyes followed him. Whether it was Draco, who always appeared to be in the same room as Theodore. Or Professor Snape, that read over his shoulder whenever they had positions class.
Theodore shook his head, a small pain making its way into his head. He stood up, and curious glances was thrown his way.
"Why haven't you eaten? You always eat?" Lorenzo asked with his arms tied behind his head. Only for a second, Theodore stiffen.
"Must've eaten something bad yesterday." He barely mumbled before quietly gliding out of the grand Hall.
--
Her eyes shot up from her note page when the door slammed open. The murmur carried throughout the dark and dusty classroom came to halt, and (Name) eyed Theodore Nott suspiciously when he strode into the room. Professor Flitwick tapped his wand against the podium he stood by, effectively gaining everyone's attention again.
"Oh!" Professor Flitwick exclaimed when he saw the tall boy standing by the entrance. "I seem to have forgotten to inform you. This term, Mr. Nott here will join us."
She didn't feel good about a new person joining the choir. Especially not him. The boys from Slytherin had never been nice, and in her luck, she hadn't been the object of their harassment. Which is probably something that she should thank Harry Potter for. But didn't mean that she was entirely safe from their harassment.
If he decided she were to be his next target, it made sense. Not many people knew about her. The students didn't blink an eye when she walked by, and the teachers barely knew her name.
She never believed herself to be quiet or shy. But the lack of attention she received left her believing that she needed to be more interesting to speak to for them to enjoy her company. They thought she didn't want to go with them, so they excluded her from their plans.
It made her think, maybe being interesting didn't belong in her nature.
"Have you ever been in a choir before Mr. Nott?" The professor asked.
He timidly shook his head, and briefly wondered where his old, confident self went. "No Professor."
Professor Flitwick gave him a nod before taking a glance over his small class.
"Well then, grab your notes from the table, and then Miss Oak will help you."
Theodore looked around after this 'Miss Oak', and he believed the young lady looking at Professor Flitwick with eyes popping out of her skull would be the girl that the Professor inquired about.
The old paper felt scratchy in his hand when he grabbed the note-filled sheets, and his body heavily trudged to stand by Miss Oak. She didn't say anything, nor did she look at him when he placed himself beside her.
She tried to not pay attention to the boy on her side, but it became a problem since he radiated off his body heat by how close he stood. Perhaps, she should have offered him her help with the notes. But after a while, it seemed he figured it out and she relaxed at the thought of not needing to interact with him.
The lesson came to an end and she wasted no time packing her things so she could catch the Professor before he turned to the next class to teach.
The rest of the students filed out quickly, and to her luck, the professor didn't.
"Professor Flitwick?" She asked.
He turned around and smiled. "Yes dear, what can I help you with?" He answered, before once again turning back to collect the remaining papers.
"I was wondering if you maybe could have someone else help Mr. Nott with his notes." She stood tall and spoke calmly when the professor turned his full attention to the girl. But inside her, a turmoil of emotion rolled around, making her dizzy and anxious.
"Why is that?" She swallowed when his calculated gaze met hers and tried her best not to tear eye contact.
"Well, because I'm afraid that helping him might disturb the focus on my studies." A small humorous scoff sounded through the room, and Professor Flitwick continued to track down the classroom with (name) hot on his tail.
"I must say that I believe that you are wrong." He started, and (name)'s eyebrows scurried together." I think that you need to socialize yourself, to meet new people. Mr. Nott is a kind young man, who I think will get along great with you."
A sigh of descent escaped her, and she trudged out of the classroom in defeat, beginning the lonely track toward her next class. Which unfortunately for her would be divination.
--
Theodore is an utterly and completely helpless man. He'd met the girl once, one smell, one touch, and he dared never stop thinking about her. The realization had almost knocked him off his chair, for wherever he went, his brain lost control over his eyes and they began to wander, searching after the girl.
For the next Choir class, he made sure to be late again, only so that he could guarantee a second of attention from her. Flitwick had come to warn him about bad habits, but why care? Theodore didn't know. For her eyes flickered to his, and only for a second, the mark on his arm didn't burn his skin.
He slowly walked towards his self-chosen place by her side and didn't let his eyes leave her once. She radiated with caution and apprehension, but Theodore didn't incline to stop staring. At least not until she showed signs of being even mildly uncomfortable.
Her eyes scanned the notes of the Christmas Carol more than she could count as an attempt to not give in to his staring. Because even though she felt tempted to stare at his angel-like face, a fear still presented itself in the back of her mind.
She winced as the floorboards creaked at her nervous shuffle, and once again, felt herself becoming the attention of Theodore's eyes. He opened his mouth, and she made herself ready for anything that could leave his mouth.
"Oh, buggers. I seemed to have forgotten my papers." (Name) watched carefully when the professor rummages through his bag, hoping that his papers are there so he doesn't leave the classroom, risking that someone with dark hair and brown eyes will start a conversation with her.
But to her downfall, Professor Flitwick quickly announced that he would be back soon, and no one had the time to blink before he walked away.
She swallowed the anxious lump in her throat and took a breath through her nose.
"Nervous?" He asked, fully aware that she had been shuffling around and taking unnecessarily deep breaths ever since he situated himself on her side.
"No." She answered, too fast for her liking, before quickly focusing on her paper again.
Theodore wanted to sigh in disappointment when she wasn't up for a conversation, and at the same time felt a stream of pettiness run through his fingertips.
He clenched his pale fist in frustration and looked away. A gust of air passed his lips in a desperate attempt to not let his hopes sink. To be so obsessed with a person in such a so short time felt strange. So strange he started to suspect that a love potion had been involved. But the way she shut herself away from him, he supposed that it would be strange for her to pour a love potion into his drink.
Professor Flitwick's footsteps were loud before he came in sight, and Theodore cursed his chance when it faded into nothing.
But on the other hand, it could turn out to be for the best. He knew that the capability of making a fool out of himself lingered.
Professor seemed to have noticed the shift of emotions on Theodore's face.
"Are you alright, Mr. Nott, you seem to be a bit pale over there?" He wanted to laugh at the coincidence.
"I'm alright, Professor." He answered politely, gently clearing his throat as he tried to brush off the awkwardness of the professor's notice.
But oh to be held, he took notice of a small, inconvenient, soft laugh. His head snapped towards her when he heard who it came from, and she quickly covered it up with a cough and a small apology.
He scoffed quietly, and she pursed her lips as he looked away.
"Everyone ready?" Professor Flitwick asked, and a chorus of positive answers echoed in the hall. And with four flicks of his wand, the choir let their voices out. At first, Theodore believed that no one in this room had sung in a choir. The different voices jumbled together, but it seemed that after just a countable second, the different voices blended into an angel melody.
He could hear her voice perfectly, and he never wanted to have no one else singing in his ear, quite literally. And he let himself bask in the warmth of her tone until a crack reaches the surface. He cringe at the miss of a note in (Name)'s voice, and she did the same.
Theodore struggled to cover up the small chuckles that escaped his mouth, and he blushed in shame to be laughing at her. She didn't seem to mind or hear him. Her face bore a confused scowl, making a wrinkle appear between her eyebrows. Suddenly he felt himself wanting to reach out, to smooth the area out with his thumb. But it would've been ridiculous if he did, possibly ruining all his chances with her in the world.
The harmonious tune took an end, and a murmur broke out, asking each other for the right notes and laughing at each other's wrongs. Theodore listened in curiosity as she hummed the same part over and over again, still getting the same note wrong even though she tries.
"It's an f-sharp, not f." He instructed, and she paused. Patiently waiting for her answer, Theodore hummed the tune for her, showing the correct way. Before the tune ended, he looked towards her to make sure that she was listening, and met her eyes. Theodore felt his heart drum against his sensitive ribs when she watched him with idle eyes.
When it once again took to an end, Theodore masked his madness with raised eyebrows and a look in his eyes, that asked her if she understood.
The eye contact broke as she looked away.
"I knew that, I'd just forgotten." She explained, and the left corner of his mouth rose.
"Sure you did." Sarcasm dripped from his voice, and he feared he'd taken it too far, for he didn't know her limits, how much she would be able to take nor how sensitive she might be.
But his fear easily melted away when he saw the slightest twitch of her lips.
--
For the first time in a long time, she left the classroom with a content look on her face. The conversation that appeared, is something that she had missed happening. Like an old conversation with the rain.
And she almost wished that her next Choir lesson would be today so that she had someone to talk to again. But it was albeit a bit intimidating. She is afraid that if she spoke too much, or shares too many feelings, he would get bored of talking with her. And she wouldn't have a potential friend anymore.
She sighed at her overcalculating thoughts and decided that she would keep basking in his attention as long as it would last.
Until her Transfiguration class with professor McGonagall the next day. Usually, she was fully aware of where everyone was so she could sit alone and not risk getting a desk friend. As said, except for today. Maybe it was to blame on the bad night's sleep, but she hadn't given a second thought about where she sat down.
And once again, Theodore stormed into the class, ten minutes late. He didn't apologize for being late, instead, he took the closest empty seat he could find and sat down.
(Name) could feel the looks from the rest of the Slytherins when Theodore sat beside her and she straightened her spine and directed her eyes forwards again, not wanting to pay attention to them.
"Fashionably late, as usual, Mr. Nott?" McGonagall questioned, amusement in her tone, but stone-set face.
"Sorry, Professor." He mumbled, and McGonagall nodded, intending to start the lesson again.
Theodore could feel the burning gazes of his friends as he opened up his book. At first, he didn't intend to give the bloodsuckers their craved attention, because he knew what it would an about, and he was also well aware of who he was sitting next to.
But he could hear Blaise whispering his name, and he still didn't want to seem rude, so he turned in his chair, and was met by the eyes of his Slytherin classmates. Draco raised an eyebrow at him, before nodding his head towards (Name).
Theodore knew exactly what he enclined and shrugged. His friends didn't need to know everything, and he didn't need to be around them every minute of the day.
A warm feeling, but strange occupied her chest when Theodore turned back, a half smile on his pink lips and relaxed eyes looking upon her.
And she wanted to beat the butterflies in her stomach with a stick.
During the lesson, there were not many words exchanged between them, and at first, it was a maladroit pressure on (Name)s chest to say something or to make him, anything of the sort. But she realized quite soon that she didn't need to speak, for it was both comforting and nice to have him sitting beside her, carefree of what was around him as he wrote on his parchments.
She hoped and prayed to merlin that it would stay like this and that it wasn't just a fortunate stroke of serendipity.
--
Something changed with him. She could both see and feel it, and never had she doubted her senses when she felt as if something was wrong.
In their choir lesson, he acted differently against his usual sarcastic but nice persona, which would help her if she was wrong, or speak to her about professor Flitwick's ridiculous beard.
But today he acted strange, only chuckling at her when she did wrong, and when helping her, he sounded up stuck.
He was almost being competitive.
And it was onerous, and burdensome to have such an enthralling person seeing you as a competition. Especially when she was aware that he was more sharp-minded, wittier, and more ambitious than she could ever wish to be.
So therefore she tried to ignore it, playing it off as if had a bed day instead so that she could protect her feelings.
But it only continued and got worse too.
She was slouching in a chair, wand in hand as she tried the same spell over and over again, but the pair of dice weren't even close to becoming chocolate pralines with passion fruit filling. Theodore had gotten it multiple times and embarrassment was beginning to crawl over her cheeks in the form of warmth.
She flicks her wand once more, and when she finally thinks that she has succeeded, she is disappointed to only see a small patch of melted chocolate. A deflected sigh left her lips, and her body slouched even more in her seat.
A chuckle rang out from the side of her, and she bit the inside of her cheek in anticipation of what he was going to say.
"It's going well I see." He remarked, and (Name) felt her ears getting hot from his sudden attention.
"No, obviously not." She mumbled.
"What am I doing wrong?" The question wasn't directed to anyone in particular, but Theodore answered it anyway.
"That, you have to figure out yourself Oak." He scoffed, moving out of his wooden seat and gently picking the pralines up to place them in his palm.
"Because, unlike others, I do have pralines instead of..." he looked quizzically, but in amusement at the chocolate mush on her table. "... that."
(Name)'s face scrunched as she listened to his almost berating words that were thrown, and was about to say something but he had already started walking up to McGonagall with his paper and sweets. She took a long, calculating glance at them, and then nodded, permitting him to leave the classroom.
And he did just so, collecting his books and taking a last glance at the frustrated witch before making his way.
It left (Name) in hassle. The way that Theodore's behavior changed so quickly, and so out of context. But perhaps she's the one to blame. The hope in her heart maybe made her think that he was the nicest out of them all, that he wanted to be her friend. Perhaps -one day- to be even more. She realized that it is her younger self talking through, the child that didn't wish for anything but true love.
She decided that it was a naive thought, and hastily closed her book before walking away from the class.
The next time it happened, it was during choir. (Name) did try her best to stay civil and rational, but how could she do that when Theodore was somehow effectively getting on her last nerves? And she was usually a calm, down-to-earth person.
"What do you mean I'm doing it wrong, I sing it exactly like everyone else." She argued exasperated as she glared at monstrous holes in the side of Theodore's head. She found it strange that he could get on her nerves so easily, even if his presence were able to make her knees weak.
"You're not singing it like like everyone else, sweety." The nickname threw her off immediately, and she felt ashamed as she spluttered out excuses and arguments against it, trying to act as repulsive as possible.
"Mr. Nott and Ms. Oak, interested in sharing your conversation with the class." Professor Flitwick interrupted, and both Theodore and (Name) realized that the room was almost completely quiet, and cringed in embarrassment.
"Sorry, Professor. But I just have a question." Theodore started, holding one of his fingers in the air as he threw a side glance towards the girl on his side, who was watching him with a curiously raised eyebrow.
"But could you just tell me how this part goes one more time?" He asked, with patronize dripping from his voice like sweet, sticky honey.
The sour face that Flitwick carried quickly morphed into a lighter one.
"Why of course." His older voice rang out the words perfectly, and (Name) shrank into herself as the realization hit her that she did indeed sing wrong. Shame crept up on her from behind, and it was humbling when it came to her that Theodore, who had only been participating for two weeks, already seemed to be more intelligent and cunning than her.
"I won." (Name) didn't look at him, didn't say anything back as a strange, unknown emotion buried itself in her mind. She couldn't decide if it was jealousy, or if she was being hurt by his actions. It didn't make sense for her as to why he would need to be so right, and to mortify her like that, just to illustrate a point. Or maybe she was just being sensitive.
But right now, she didn't believe that he ever wanted to be her friend. That this was just an act to maybe relieve himself of stress, to have someone that he could compete against, knowing that he would win. It could also have something to do with power, that he felt out of control and needed something that he could manipulate. It would make sense, she supposed. (But did it though. Why would he pick her of all people to mess with? She hadn't done anything to him.)
As every single afternoon after choir, she trudged towards her house, lining up for the common rooms, more specifically, the comfort and consoling of her bed.
When she entered, it was pleasing to find that it was only one person present in the dormitory, and she hopefully could rest peacefully during the entire evening and night, and for once wake up with a good night's sleep and possibly a better mood.
Though she would be missing dinner, sacrifices were made and if it would guarantee sleep, she felt confident in taking that risk.
And with the last thought that maybe, she would just have to ignore Theodore if he continued with his confusing advances. Even if it meant that he wouldn't become her friend. And she fell asleep. A deep, undisturbed, peaceful sleep.
The next morning, she felt as fresh as the morning dew on her favorite flower. Nothing could ruin her mood was the famous words, but she truly felt it today. The day began with Magic of the Dark Arts, which she sure wasn't the brightest when it came to that class. But after that, she would practice quidditch, and then she would be able to find a dark corner in the library and bury her nose in a book, possibly one about the magical creatures of the north. It sounded interesting enough. (And who would she be to say no to new information and facts?)
--
As usual, dark arts sucked all the energy out of her eyes and brain but were lucky enough when the energy returned after the intense quidditch practice. The shower she took softened her stiff and sore limbs, and the grime and dirt watched down the drain slowly as she massaged her body with her flower-scented soap bar. It was almost a luxurious feeling.
Her robes had also been washed, which ended up with her smelling like a spring field and newly washed linen. It was something that oddly enough boosted her confidence.
The corridors were fairly empty as she began her quite a long walk towards the library. It was nice, the only thing echoing in the corridors bring the whining wind that carried new crystalizing snowflakes to the ground.
She turned corner after corner, walking by the great hall and resuming towards the moving stairs. But as she turned a corner, she stopped. Not voluntarily, but her body seemed to have control over her mind.
Lit by the flames of the corridor, was Theodore, sitting on the dusty stone floor and leaning against the wall with one of his legs stretched out before him, and the other bent towards his stomach. He didn't see her, for his head rested against the knee of his bent leg, and one of his arms clutched the side of his stomach. Almost as if he felt pain. She stood awkwardly and silently, waiting for him to notice her.
It went against what she promised yesterday night, that she wouldn't interact with, nor acknowledge his actuality. But her promises seemed to become empty every time they circled the Brunett.
So she gently cleared her throat and that seemed to do it for Theodore's head snapped towards her, his face showing that he became startled. But that wasn't the only thing that his face showed.
(Name)'s brows gently furrowed as she scanned his face. His left eye was bruised, along with his sharp cheekbone, and blood continued to drip from his nose, messily running down his lips and over his jaw.
"My my, what do we have here?" The surprised face that he carried slowly turned into a teasing smirk, but she found it easy to look past his confidence to know that it was all a mask, a trick to not let her see him in a state of weakness.
"By Merlin's beard, who did this to you?" she knelt by him to get a closer look at his face.
Theodore hoped that it didn't show, but his face had begun to heat up as her big, concerned eyes stretched over his face.
His heart beat faster, and his own brown eyes got stuck on her face, more exactly on her lips. He didn't want to stare, he didn't want to make it obvious but he had no power over his brain at all.
"Malfoy and Crabe. Maybe Goyle too. Don't remember." He said, shaking his head as he smiled with tired eyes. It was a wonder that he was still sitting up, especially after the hard kick that Crabe had delivered to his stomach.
"Why would they beat you? I thought you were friends?" She questioned, staring intently at a particular wound by his eye that looked like it surely needed medical attention sooner or later.
"I wouldn't say friends, merely acquaintances." He chuckled lightly before he shifted and turned serious." And they were saying impolite things, about someone-someone that I-" He stopped himself and pursed his lips." someone that I guess I care for." He forced that part out as if he had trouble saying it out loud. It probably contributed to the vulnerability, and it had probably torn on his ego to get beaten.
And that's why (Name) didn't ask any more questions. She wasn't usually someone to care about someone's ego, but she didn't want to make him uncomfortable.
She pursed her lips and stretched her legs which created an obnoxious sound in her knees before she stretched her hand towards him.
"What?" He asked skeptically.
"If you want, I can help with your wounds and the swelling." Theodore still looked doubtful, so she sighed and lightly rolled her eyes at his mistrust. "Don't worry, my mother used to work as a doctor back in a muggle hospital and has taught me much, so you can trust me."
Theodore seemed to relax at that and slowly grabbed her hand with a steady grip. It was an odd feeling, to have his hand in hers. It felt different than she thought it would. Instead of the cold, rough skin that she expected, it became a surprise when a warm hand with soft skin latched onto hers instead.
With a strong arm, she pulled Theodore up to his feet and she could hear a small groan leave him as he used his power and might to get up.
His face twisted in pain for a second and (Name) stretched her arm forwards when he almost fell against the wall again. Bit Theodore seemed to collect his strength with a big breath before standing straight, wincing slightly as his probably bruised ribcage stretched.
He must've felt her nervous gaze because he looked down at her with a reassuring face and said "I'm alright."
They began to track down the corridors.
They choose to walk to Theodore's room instead of (Name)'s, since he had a single room all by himself, and also because the girls wouldn't be too fond of finding Theodore in the girl's dormitory. They slowly descended the marble stairs that led to the dungeons, both of them walking much slower than before because of the pain in Theodore's stomach.
"Are you sure that we shouldn't go to madame Pomfrey instead?" (Name) asked for the third time as she heard the heavy breathing that came from Theodore, but he once again shook his head in denial.
"I'm fine, promise." He tried to persuade her, but she didn't feel fooled.
"No, I don't believe that you're fine." She argued and stopped in the middle of the stairs in protest of his hardheadedness. And when he noticed that she wasn't by his side, he stopped too and leaned against the wooden stair railing
"Please." His face showed only pleading, and the foreign display of emotion made her desire to fall to her knees for him right then and there, to take him in her arms and baby him for the rest of his life. It scared her to know that the smallest display of weakness that Theodore showed could manipulate her into doing anything. But it would be inevitable to avoid him because of such a -what she thought was- unimportant cause.
"Alright, but at least let me help you walk." She requested almost timidly, afraid that he would protest. But to her delight he nodded, so she walked to him and took his arm over her shoulder before circling her own around his slim waist, and then with all her power, she took a part of his weight onto her shoulders before they began to move, slowly limping to the edge of the old stairs before they walked down the dark dungeon to the entrance of the Slytherin house.
When they stopped in front of the dark wooden door, (Name) turned to look at Theodore for him to understand that she couldn't say the password since she didn't know it.
His cheeks pinked as he realized and he cleared his throat. "Pureblood." She would be flattered by the fact that he dared to say it loud in front of her, apparently trusting her with the password, if it weren't for the fact that her face scrunched in dislike at the password. She didn't say anything about it.
Theodore seemed to gather strength and nearly pulled her with him as he tried to cross the common room as fast as he could, like his injuries suddenly didn't hurt anymore.
(Name) wanted to stop and gape at the Slytherin common room. The first thing that stood out was the large windows on the opposite side, which allowed a view into the depths of the dark lake that you couldn't get anywhere else. There were also small desks placed against the walls and two round tables on the stone floor. And in the middle two black leathered couches took place in front of a hefty fireplace in the wall. By the thought of walls, (Name) turned her eyes up, and there she saw the stone decorations that had been carved into fetching eye-catching glamors.
Theodore pulled harsher at her arm when she slowed down, and she grumbled as he stressed her towards a high-roof corridor, that had another big window by the end that was framed by long green curtains. She believed it to be strange since the corridor wasn't parted into girls or boys as it was in hers. And there were also arguably more than two doors on the walls.
She counted every door they walked past, and ended up with the number 16 when they stopped between the last pair of doors. The door they were facing had two familiar letters engraved on them. T.N, and had been filled in with silver which she believed fitted him well.
Her free hand grabbed the handle and twisted, opening the door into his dark room. Then she stumbled inside. Her body had become tired from carrying Theodore the length of the stairs and corridors, so she walked towards his made bed and gently sat him down before closing the door. And then rolled her shoulders to leverage the pain.
She tried to look around for some kind of lighter or anything that she could use to gain sight. But it turned out to not be needed when all the candles lit up by the flick of Theodore's hand. And also a small fireplace in the corner that cast a warm hue over the room.
"Medical kit is in the top drawer." Theodore's voice was pained, and it made her hurry to the place he pointed so she could get working on his wounds. It was scary to have him sitting there in pain, labored breathing and his expression tight as he attempted not to show his discomfort. A particularly loud groan made her turn around from the desk where the medical things lay.
Theodore was now leaning against the wall with his eyes closed and teeth clenched. And she wondered how he persuaded her into keeping him away from Madame Pomfrey. She also regretted offering her help to heal him in the first place, since the injuries now seemed to be beyond her expertise. His face showed nothing but discomfort and (Name) started to feel nervous. Her medical skills were good but by how Theodore looked at the moment, she seriously started to doubt her skills.
But she didn't say anything and took a cotton pad soaked in anti-bacterial and plasters to cover the wounds with.
When she stood by the edge of the bed she concluded that she would not be able to reach him when he leaned back as he did, and gently poked at his arm to gain his attention." I can't reach you, you need to sit up."
He hummed lowly, (Name) almost missing the sound before he slowly dragged himself to the edge of the bed, his legs dangling off the side.
She didn't hesitate then and positioned herself between his legs before slowly cleaning both around in the open cuts on his temple and lip that she discovered after wiping away the blood that dripped from his nose.
The position they were in made (Name) almost dizzy with nerves, and she longed to get closer. But it was only longing and she didn't dare to do anything about it and therefore stayed at an arm's length. The new feelings made her weak. Made her feel vulnerable, and that too was scary. Extremely scary.
He suddenly hissed as she slipped with her hands. It didn't take a second before an unusual amount of guilt in her chest.
"I'm sorry, I lost focus."
He nodded. A way of showing that it is okay. But his jaw still clenched when she proceeded with the plasters.
"I need to look at your stomach too." There was quiet as she stood in front of him, waiting for him to raise his shirt. But he didn't seem to be compliant. "I only need to check for anything broken."
He seemed to let down his guard when she added the reason, and her body warmed in shame when she understood that Theodore thought she wanted to see his bare skin.
Also because Theodore had started to lift his shirt, revealing his bare skin to her. She felt almost flattered that he trusted her enough to undress like this. But she knew he didn't have much of a choice.
"Lay down please." He once again did as she said, and slowly leaned into his bed, stretching his upper body when his back hit the mattress. It was quiet in the room, the only thing that you could hear being Theodore's uneven breathing and (Name)'s airy gasp when her eyes landed on his bruised ribs.
"By Merlin, what did they do to you?" she asked him while she took a closer look. The left side of his ribcage had been beaten to the point where the bruises turned yellow and green instead of blue and purple.
"What? What is it?" he moved his hand toward the bruises, trying to feel after the thing that had gotten her stunned but she quickly grabbed his wrist so that he wouldn't cause himself any unnecessary pain. Especially not when she had already made him feel enough pain for the rest of her life.
She swallowed and rested Theodore's hand by his side. He stared at her tensely as she brought her hand up, letting it float over his ribcage. This time, his entire body unknowingly tensed as he waited for the pain that would come when she laid her hand on him. But she never did. Instead, she closed her eyes.
Warmth flowed in waves from the palm of her hand and Theodore's body began to slowly un-tense.
Theodore would trust her with his own worthless life if it came to it, and it wasn't why he felt so on edge. To have her fingers, her flesh so close to his own given his heart something to work for and his brain something to think of. And if he weren't in such agony, he would've begged her to touch him. To lay her warm palm upon his beaten skin, to kiss it, to caress it.
His pathetic thoughts were happily interrupted as the pads of her finger accidentally made contact with his sternum, and a delighted shiver crawled its way over his body.
"Sorry." She apologized, thinking that she had caused him pain.
"It didn't hurt." She looked at him with an unbelieving frown, a frown that made his tongue twist when he tried to stutter an answer.
"Or it does hurt, but your touch... doesn't hurt." She barely heard the last part. Barely, but she still did. Her body heat skyrocketed, and she bit the inside of her cheek to hide her flustered expression, and also to stop the dancing butterflies that made their way up her throat.
He didn't know what came over him at that moment, but a sudden urge to tell her everything limped its way into his mind. It was a long time since he felt this vulnerable and was okay with it. An old memory of him as a child in his mother's arms flashed before his eyes, but he quickly locked it away once more.
But he bit his tongue.
He was sure that she thought he looked pathetic. Here he lay, half-naked, beaten bloodied with tears in his eyes and a frown on his face. He didn't know if he enjoyed the thought or not, because while he enjoyed being vulnerable for you, he still didn't want you to think he was weak because of the touch of the woman he had been obsessing over.
"You must care for this person, hm?" She awkwardly laughed as she smoothly changed the subject. She didn't want to know who he fought for, nor why he did it. But it started getting harder and harder for her to keep to the promise she made herself. To keep him at a distance. Both physically and emotionally.
Theodore didn't have time to answer, both because he was overthrown by the complete change of conversation, but also because she spoke again before he even opened his mouth.
"Who is it anyway. I honestly didn't know you could care about someone that much." She joked harmlessly, but the comment made his mouth feel like paper.
"You."
She stopped her magic, fingers retracting into her palm and her head snapped up to meet his eyes, to see if he lied. But she saw only honesty. No side smirk, no crinkle by his eyes, no pursing lips as a way to hide a mischievous smile.
His eyes were peering at her through his lashes, innocent, brown eyes.
"What- What do you mean?"She carefully asked, knowing exactly what he meant. But she needed confirmation.
"It was you who they spoke ill about." He murmured, staring into the abyss of her eyes. Her body burned like it was on fire because of the nerves that he created within her. And she wanted to look away so that she could catch her breath but she deemed it impossible.
A glaze was cast over his eyes, a glaze containing something akin to admiration.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" The question slipped before she could think about stopping it.
Once more, he didn't say anything. But she could feel how he moved. His arm slowly encircled her and the other hand, he raised to her cheek. His fingers danced along her cheekbone, spreading a fire on her skin that she didn't know to be possible until now.
But the moment changed, as did the energy in the room as he carefully leaned closer with big, hopeful eyes. She stood frozen, one part not believing what was about to happen and the other knowing that if she valued herself, she would have to remove herself right now.
Before he took the next step, she pulled her face away.
Deep in her gut, there was a sour scorching feeling that began to spread like poisoning, killing all happiness that was present before and taking the form of angry tears in her eyes. It was unfair, how he could treat her however he liked, be as awful as he wished. And still have her here, sitting in his sheets and bandaging him with gentle hands.
It was unfair.
"You are so contradicting Theodore." Tears were stuck in her voice and she quickly raised from the bed. She didn't want him to see that she was hurting.
"What?" There was a pang in her heart. He sounded small, like a wounded animal.
"You are mean Theodore." She started, turning around to look at him." At first, you treated me like an equal, like a friend. Until you didn't."
He couldn't meet her eyes anymore, regret eating its way from his heart to his skin. She sniffled and cleared her throat when it became harder to keep her tears at bay.
"I thought that I'd done something to make you hate me, and I was sure you did. But then you kept insisting to sit by me, or to be around me and I couldn't understand." Her voice became small, and her tears became uncontrollable. The embarrassment of sobbing in front of him made her stomach churn, and all she wanted was to shrink into herself. She wanted him to laugh at her, to mock her so that she could get over it and move on.
But that wasn't what Theodore wanted at all. He made her feel hated by him when all he wanted was to be loved by her. And he now felt adamant to change that.
However, it's hard when he slowly crumbles as her tears continue to fall.
"I'm sorry."
And he needs to go to her. So he raises himself off the soft bed and limps toward her. But before he gets too close she turns her back on him, hiding from his fierce gaze. He sighed, saddened by her shyness, the one that had worked hard to get through, only to mess it up either way.
She wrapped her arms around herself and bowed her head to the floor when her sobbing turned into hulking and gasps for air. That was when she felt something different. Theodore had enclosed his hands on her upper arms from behind, giving them gentle caresses with his thumbs. And once more, the caresses spread the wildfire. Her body warmed and her breathing calmed as if the comfort worked.
She didn't know why she doubted that his comfort would work in the first place. Maybe because she wanted to think that he wasn't anything special to her. That love didn't do any difference when it came to a person. But he was, and it did.
Suddenly, before she could blink he turned her around and gently tugged her into his bare chest, enclosing his arms around her in an embrace. The hug didn't last long, but it didn't have to because it brought comfort either way. When he pulled away his hands immediately reached for her cheeks.
When his hands cup both sides of her face, she flinches back. But she doesn't get anywhere for his grip is unmoving. His thumb suddenly touched the space between her eyebrows and began slowly stroking the space, evening out the frown on her face.
She swallows hard. "It was never my intention to make you feel this way." He sighed. A deep heartfelt sigh." I just wanted your attention. And your laughs and your love. But my so thought to be efficacious methods didn't seem to be as efficacious as I believed them to be."
A humorous chuckle rumbles through his chest when a tiny, watery smile tugs at the corner of her lips. And then (Name) feels the aftermath of her sobbing catching up to her body, and a headache grows in her skull. And that's why she lets her forehead rest on the space in between his collarbones.
"Can you ever forgive me?" He asks while letting his fingers push her back from her tear-stained face. She makes a sound in the back of her throat.
"How can I not."
Her voice still had a watery touch to it but sounded more optimistic than she had the entire day. And Theodore tightened his arms around her. But the action sent a jolt of pain through his stomach, and therefore staggered into as he tried to lean some of his body weight on her. But since she wasn't ready, she stumbled against the wall.
"Sorry." He mumbled and pulled away from the embrace.
She chuckled while looking towards the floor, before slowly dragging her eyes up to his face. And then, out of pure instinct, she kissed his cheek and his entire body flared up. "You don't have to apologize."
She hoped he realized the double meaning behind her words. And that she truly did forgive him. Perhaps it would be a stupid decision she would come to regret. But it would be a future problem.
A gentle smile licked her features when he once again cupped her cheeks in his warm palms, and she was on top of the world when he slowly leaned closer.
But he moved so slow, and (Name) wanted to feel him and therefore rose to her toes to gently connect the kiss. It was only a peck, and also short-lived. But it was also her first kiss which meant that it still felt like a thousand suns burned in her chest.
But Theodore seemed to think differently, and with a breath, connected their lips into another sweet, blissful kiss. Although this one not only was deeper but also felt like it was. Her heart beat inside her ribs, more alive than ever when Theodore continued to angle her to meet his lips as he wished. As of the moment, he was pushing her into the wall with his chest, trying to feel as much of her as possible. But since he pressed into her, she had to angle her head up so that he would reach her lips.
Her lungs were burning, and her head spun and she had no choice but to pull away. When she did, Theodore quickly tried to connect their lips again, but she didn't let him. It wasn't that she didn't want to kiss him because she did. But she also wanted to look at him. To see his brown eyes, his pink kissed lips, and rosy cheeks.
"You look pretty." She whispered, and lightly kissed his nose. It was out of her character, but it felt right to do so. Especially when she saw the surprised face that he wore.
And at that moment, Theodore felt at peace. There was no itching on his arm, no pain and she was officially his known addiction. He would never let her go now.

You're Mine And Only Mine
Summary: Y/n overhears Draco back-bitching about her, so she does something that leaves him fuming with anger.
SMUT, slight fluff
You really did it this time. You knew you went too far and now you're going to pay for it but is it really a punishment if it's exactly what you wanted?
For the past few months, you've been sneaking around with none other than Draco Malfoy, the annoyingly handsome Slytherin Prince. It all started because of how embarrassingly bad he is at charms. Malfoy was flunking and you're the best in the class so Flitwick decided that you were to tutor the twit.
Your tutoring lessons started that same night in the library but you could barely speak a few words to each other before you'd start arguing. Despite this, you couldn't deny the fact that Malfoy is sexy. Of course, you've always known but being so close to him in the empty library seemed to mess with your head, you could barely concentrate on the charm you were trying to teach him. It didn't help that you'd caught him looking at your lips more than once while you spoke.
You're not really sure how it happened but one second you were screaming at him for being an arse and the next he had you pushed up against a bookshelf with his hand up your skirt. Ever since you can't seem to keep your hands off each other, whether it be pushing you into empty classrooms and bending you over a desk or him sneaking into your room so he could put his dick down your throat, it didn't matter as long as you were with Draco.
Everything had been going great with you two, he even showed massive improvement in charms.
Until today when you walked into the library a little early to set up for your lesson with Draco. There he was with Crabbe and Goyle, telling the two idiots that he couldn't stand you and that if it weren't for him needing to pass charms he would never be seen with someone like you, even if his life depended on it. He hadn't seen you until that point and when he did all you could do not to cry in front of them was turn and walk away.
That night after crying in your dorm, you decided that you'd be damned if you let an ass like Malfoy talk about you that way. You are going to make him regret his words if it's the last thing you do and you know just how to do it. If there is one thing you know about Draco it's that the boy does not like to share, especially not the girl he considers his.
The next morning you set your plan into action, spending more time on your appearance than you usually would, making sure you look flawless. As you walk into the great hall for breakfast you immediately make eye contact with Draco and his jaw drops, you just smirk and walk over to your friends, not looking at him once.
You have many classes with the slytherins and in every one of them, you've successfully ignored him. He's sent you many notes apologizing for his words claiming he didn't mean it but you just read them, crumple them up, and throw them away. You aren't going to let him get away with it that easily, even if you do believe him.
Finally, your last class of the day rolls around and its charms, by this point Draco is seething with anger but you could care less. Instead of sitting at the table you usually share with him you walk right past the blonde to sit with Blaise. You can feel his eyes burning into the back of your head but you don't dare turn around.
"Hey Blaise, you don't mind if I sit here do you?" You've always known he has a slight crush on you.
"Of course not y/n, a pretty girl like you doesn't even have to ask." You just smile at him and take a seat, this is already going so much better than you had planned, you only wish you could see the look on Draco's face.
"You know Blaise, I noticed you've gotten a lot better at quidditch, maybe next time there's a game I can wear your jersey for good luck?"
"I'd love that, maybe you could let me take you on a date sometime?"
"We'll see about that Zabini." You wink at him, he just laughs and shakes his head. For the rest of the class, you joke around and flirt with Blaise loud enough for Draco to hear.
When you're leaving Blaise grabs you, "You have something in your hair y/n, let me get it for you." You lean in slightly so he can get it, once he does you thank him and kiss him on the cheek, very close to the corner of his mouth.
As soon as your lips touch his face you feel two cold hands grabbing you by the waist and pulling you away from the dark-haired boy. Draco drags you down the hallway until you finally reach his dorm where he pushes you up against the door.
"What the hell are you playing at y/n, think you can ignore me all fucking day and then flirt with Zabini right in front of me?"
You just smile, "I don't know what you're talking about Draco." You're surprised he doesn't have steam blowing out his ear with how angry he looks.
"You know exactly what you're doing y/n! I'm really sorry, okay? I shouldn't have said any of it, I didn't mean a word-"
"Hmmm, I don't know. I don't think Blaise would say what you did about me, I think I'd rather go talk to him right now." You push him away slightly but don't get far before he has you on the door again, this time with his hand wrapped around your throat, just the way you like it.
"You're mine and only mine!" He's an inch away from your face this time.
"Prove it."
He responds instantly with his lips on yours, his other hand grabbing the end of your hair to tilt your head up while the one around your throat tightens slightly. He pulls away to take off your shirt and bra, immediately putting one of your nipples into his warm mouth while massaging the other one, making you moan.
"Get on your knees. Now."
You don't need to be told twice, you know if he has to repeat himself there will be hell to pay. You start working on his belt while looking up at him through your eyelashes. Once you get the belt off you waste no time taking off his dress pants and boxers. You begin to slowly pump him in your hand, never breaking eye contact.
"Don't tease me y/n!" You immediately flick your tongue over the tip and hollow out your cheeks, taking as much of his dick into your mouth as you could. You bob your head at a steady pace using your hand to pump what you couldn't fit in your mouth, making sure to run your tongue down the base just the way he likes.
He's breathing heavily as he tangles his hand in your hair pushing himself deeper down your throat making your eyes water.
"You look so fucking pretty, you take my dick so well baby girl." You look up at Draco and the sight almost makes you cum, you've never seen someone sexier in your life. Next thing you know he's yanking you up and tearing off your skirt and panties. He takes his shirt off as well but you notice he's still holding his green tie in one hand.
"I want you on the bed face down, ass up, arms behind your back. Do you understand?" All you can manage is a slight nod. You do as you're told when you feel him come up behind you, pulling your hands together and tying them behind your back.
You jolt slightly when you feel his fingers start running up your slick folds, making you moan his name. That's when he smacks a hand down on your ass and all you can do is yelp.
"You've been a bad girl y/n," another smack, "Did you really think I would let you get away with what you did today?" You shake your head furiously as he smacks your ass again.
Draco leans in until he's an inch away from your ear making you clench. "I want you to beg for it." he whispers.
"Please, Draco." You're barely able to get it out, the feeling of his finger brushing against you driving you mad.
"Please what love?" He teases. Yet another smack, followed by a loud moan.
"Please fuck me, I'm begging you." With that he pushes into you, grabbing your hair and pulling you up so your back is against his chest. You feel his hips slamming into your ass with every thrust and all you can do is moan. He reaches around you with his other hand and starts massaging your clit making you scream his name.
He kisses up your neck and you can tell he is purposely leaving dark marks everywhere so everyone knows who you belong to. He lets go of your hair and you fall back down onto the bed, him smacking a hand on your ass again.
"Fuck-" You can't help but moan.
"You like that y/n? Let everyone know who's making you feel this good." And that's exactly what you do. You scream Draco's name over and over again.
"I'm- I'm gonna- Fuck- cum."
"Cum for me sweet girl." He speeds up and you feel your walls tighten around him making him moan your name and that's all it takes for you to let go. He rubs your clit as you ride out your high, making you see white. You feel his thrusts become sloppy and shortly after he's spilling into you.
Draco unties your wrists, kisses both of them, turning you around and pulling you into his chest.
"I wasn't too rough was I?" he looks at you a little worried.
"Perfect as always Draco." You smile at him and he just chuckles softly pulling you in for a sweet kiss.
"Good, don't ever pull that shit you did with Blaise ever again."
"Trust me, I don't plan on it."

My Masterlist 🖤
Y/N Goyle was the twin sister of Gregory Goyle, despite being so close, always scheming together and causing mischief, they had their differences. Greg was brutish and clumsy, always getting himself in trouble, whereas Y/N was cunning and nimble, she never got caught, she was the master of playing innocent. It was no surprise to anyone when the Goyle twins were both sorted into Slytherin, the pair settled in perfectly. Y/N and Greg quickly made friends with people in their dorms, excelled in their classes (Y/N more than her brother) and both absolutely loved to break the rules when they could. They would sneak into the Forbidden Forest and let off fireworks, spike Filch’s drinks with home brewed potions, stay out after curfew any chance they got, but most of all the Goyle twins loved to party. They had a wonderful few years at Hogwarts and were now just a week away from starting their final year.
“Y/N come down here please” her mother shouted up the stairs, “You too Gregory”. The twins both appeared at their bedroom doors on opposite sides of the hallway, Y/N threw Greg a little wink, they both knew what that meant. It was on. They both set off running down the hallway, pushing past each other to try and get to the top of the stairs first, Y/N got there just before him and hurtled down the stairs, flinging herself off the bottom step.
“I win, I win!” she chanted, throwing in a fake evil laugh.
“Yeh, yeh, yeh - just this once.” he replied sarcastically.
“Merlin will you two take it easy” their mother snapped interrupting them, “are you both ready for the Malfoy Ball tonight? Suit ready? Dress picked out?” she asked.
“Yes mother” they responded in unison.
“Brilliant, now your lunch is ready in the kitchen, eat up and then go and get yourselves ready, we are leaving at five.” she instructed.
The Malfoy’s hosted their annual ball at the end of every summer, Y/N and Greg had been going for as long as they could remember and of course became very good friends with the Malfoys son, Draco, who was also sorted into Slytherin with them. You’d rarely find Draco without the Goyle twins by his side, especially Y/N, they spent every moment they could together - the pair would always ignore any rumours they were more than just friends, but Draco Malfoy didn’t treat anyone as kindly as he treated Y/N Goyle. This summer was the first in years that the twins hadn’t spent nearly everyday with Draco, causing havoc at Malfoy Manor. They had been away visiting family all summer, Y/N had missed Draco and found herself thinking about him a lot more than usual. She rushed through her food, and headed back upstairs to get ready, daydreaming about her reunion with Draco, hoping he might like her dress and maybe ask her to dance. She’d never really thought of Draco in that way, but the time apart made her wonder, wonder if there could be something more there, if maybe there had always been something more there but they both ignored it because of their friendship. Y/N admired her reflection in the mirror, she had opted for a dark green form fitted dress, it was made of the most luxurious velvet with intricate patterns sewn over the bodice, it hugged her body in all the right places and she knew she looked good. To finish off she chose a small silver heart necklace from her jewellery box to wear, Draco had got it for her as a birthday present the previous year, she hoped it might get his attention.
Before she knew it, it was five o’clock, time to leave. The family apparated to the huge doors of Malfoy Manor, where they were met by dozens of familiar faces, music pouring out of the entrance and small house elves collecting coats and ushering all the guests into the grand hall, which was decorated beautifully.
“Right we are off to mingle and hopefully find Narcissa and Lucius, we’ll see you two in a bit” their mother said, “Behave yourselves” she added sternly, before linking their fathers arm and disappearing off into the crowd towards some of their friends.
“Shall we get a drink?” Y/N asked Greg, prancing over to the bar, “Two fire whiskeys and soda please?”.
“I thought we were supposed to be behaving?” Greg chuckled.
“Oh come on just one, or two” she laughed, “Its a party after all!”
They grabbed their drinks from the bar and clinked glasses, “To our final year at Hogwarts” Greg toasted, Y/N cheered, taking a swig of her drink and pulling Greg in for a hug.
“Right I’m just going to the toilet, which might take a minute with this dress” Y/N joked, “keep an eye on my drink, maybe even order me another one if you fancy” she threw him a wink and headed off up the stairs to the bathroom.
“Goyle!” Draco called across the room, striding over to his friend who stood at the bar.
“Malfoy, its good to see you” Greg replied, wrapping his huge arms around Draco and giving him a hug, “It’s been too long buddy, I’ve missed you this summer!” he exclaimed.
“I know man, I missed you too, we usually spend everyday together, it was quiet here this summer without you and Y/N…” he paused for a moment and scanned the area, “Wait where is Y/N, she came right?” Draco enquired. He hadn’t realised until a summer without her, quite how much she meant to him - he thought about her all the time, how intelligent she was, how beautiful her laugh was….how beautiful she was. He had been counting down the days to the ball, just because he knew he’d finally get to see her again.
“Yes of course she is, she just went to the bathroom” Greg replied, “in fact there she is now” he pointed up the stairs towards his sister. Draco turned around and immediately met her gaze as she descended elegantly down the stairs, a coy smile appearing as she made her way towards him. His eyes traced up and down her figure and then back towards her piercing eyes, she looked incredible, Draco felt nervous for nearly the first time in his life, little did he know Y/N felt exactly the same.
“Draco! It’s so amazing to see you!” Y/N exclaimed, rushing over to him and throwing her arms around his neck, hoping he didn’t feel her heart practically bursting out of her chest at his touch.
“Y/N!” Draco wrapped his hands around her waist, “I’ve missed you” he whispered in her ear, sending shivers down Y/N’s spine.
“I’ve missed you too” she said quietly, Draco placed a light kiss on her head in response.
“You look wow…you look incredible” he said stepping back slightly and admiring her “I see you are wearing the necklace I got you” he said running his finger across her chest to meet the heart locket, his eyes locked with hers, in that moment they both felt an undeniable chemistry. A moment that Y/N had been imagining for weeks, which seemed to be going just how she planned until it was very quickly disturbed by Greg.
“Whats going on with you two?” Greg questioned.
“What do you mean Goyle?” Draco replied, reluctantly peeling himself away from Y/N.
“Whatever that was?” Greg added, gesturing towards them.
“Am I not allowed to hug my friend who I haven’t seen all summer?” Draco asked defensively.
“Well yeh but that seemed like more than just a hug, remember Malfoy, that’s my sister!” he exclaimed, causing Y/N to roll her eyes.
“Don’t be ridiculous Gregory, besides I can do as I please, so can Draco.” Y/N said sharply yet cautiously, she didn’t want to reveal her new found feelings to Draco just yet, until she knew the spark she felt wasn’t just one sided.
“I’m just saying my best friend and my sister, that would be a bit weird, besides other people are always saying there’s something going on with you two, so it’s not a crazy suggestion!” Greg stated firmly.
“Well there’s nothing going on, so just leave it.” Draco snapped, he felt flushed with guilt as his eyes met Y/N’s and he saw her confusion, he wanted to tell her how he really felt, but not like this.
“Right come on let’s get a drink” Y/N interjected, wanting to shift her mind and the conversation from her feelings towards Draco.
“Yes good plan!” Greg replied, immediately rushing to the bar to grab them some drinks. The three friends spent the next twenty minutes catching up and laughing, allowing the tension from the prior conversation to drift away. Y/N found herself zoning out slightly as the boys discussed Quidditch, she started thinking about Draco again, maybe she had misread the signs, especially given how irritate he was just by the mere suggestion from Greg they might be more than just friends.
Suddenly her thoughts were interrupted by her mother appearing out of the crowd with a young man on her arm, Y/N recognised him from prior Malfoy Balls, although had never spoken to him.
“Y/N, I’d like you to meet Trenton Ironwood, his father works at the ministry with your father!” her mother said as she proudly presented her latest suitor for Y/N, her favourite past time at all these events was trying to find a handsome boy to push on her daughter.
“Y/N its a pleasure to meet you finally” he stepped forward, graciously taking her hand and placing a gentle kiss on her knuckles, before rising to meet her eyes “and may I say you look beautiful tonight.”
“Well thank you” Y/N replied bashfully, blushing slightly from his compliment, “it’s lovely to meet you too Trenton.” Out of the corner of her eye she could see Draco glancing back and forth between her and Trenton, tensing up slightly as they became familiar.
“Good to see you Ironwood!” Draco interrupted, stepping slightly in-front of Y/N and offering a handshake, “Thank you for coming this evening” he added coarsely, puffing his chest territorially to remind Trenton this was his home.
“Good to see you too Malfoy” Trenton responded, shaking Draco’s hand, then returning his attention to Y/N.
“I will leave you kids to it, make sure you have some food and not just drinks please” their mother said, noting the drink in her daughter and sons hands, “and you better both have a dance, you know it’s the proper thing to do at these types of events!” she added.
“Yes mother” the twins said in unison.
“So Y/N would you do me the honour of allowing me to accompany you for your first dance of the evening?” Trenton asked boldly and rather formally, which made Y/N cringe slightly but she still thought he seemed sweet. She glanced towards Draco, noticing he looked disappointed, she hoped he might jump in and ask her to dance instead, but he didn’t. Nothing was going as Y/N had pictured it, so she decided to accept his offer, “Thank you Trenton, that would be wonderful” she said slightly reluctantly, at least her mother wouldn’t bother her for the rest of the evening about dancing. She moved towards him allowing him to take her hand and lead her onto the dance floor, fighting with every inch of herself not to look back at Draco.
Draco watched as Y/N walked away through the crowd, he cursed himself internally, why hadn’t he been able to ask her that easily, or had the courage to stop her, call after her. All he’d thought about for weeks was reuniting with Y/N, touching her again, talking to her again, laughing with her again, his anger grew as he worried he might never be able to tell her how he feels.
“You alright Malfoy?” Greg asked noticing his grimaced face.
“That Ironwood, he’s a little sleaze, you ought to keep an eye on him Goyle! He has a different girl on his arm everytime I see him, Y/N deserves better!” Draco spat, his jealousy raging.
“It’ll be fine, you know Y/N, she can take care of herself” Greg chuckled nonchalantly, remembering the embarrassing ends of his sisters past suitors. “Besides since when do you care?” he enquired.
“I’ve always cared Goyle, she’s been my friend just as long as you have!” Draco snapped in response, swigging down his drink and grabbing a fresh one, Greg just watched him beginning to become more suspicious of both his friend and his sisters behaviour that evening. Draco scoured the dance floor looking for Y/N, then he saw her, with Trenton whispering in her ear, his hand placed in the small of her back, Dracos anger surged again.
“I’m going to get some fresh air, I’ll see you in a bit Goyle!” Draco said, storming off into the gardens.
Y/N regretted agreeing to dance with Trenton the moment he put his slimy hand around her waist a little too low. All he did was talk about himself, his education overseas at Durmstrang, how amazing he was at quidditch, Y/N found herself zoning out very quickly, offering the odd smile and hum to fake interest. Every chance she got she glanced over to Draco, wishing she was dancing with him instead, he looked agitated, perhaps he wished the same, she just needed to talk to him alone and find out. Her thoughts were quickly interrupted by Trenton suddenly leaning in and whispering in her ear,
“You know, my house isn’t far from here we could head back there and have our own fun” he smirked at her suggestively. Y/N pulled herself away from him, shocked that he would be so brazen, she officially hated this guy.
“No thank you Trenton, if you’ll excuse me I have to be…anywhere else, have a nice evening!” she stated calmly, pushing past him leaving him standing alone. She turned her attention to where her brother and Draco had been standing, and noticed Draco storming off towards the back exit, instinctively she raced after him, following him into the dark of the night.
“Draco!” Y/N shouted, just catching up to him at the bottom of the path, “Draco whats wrong?” she asked grabbing his wrist, shifting him to face her.
“Nothing I just… it doesn’t matter, I’m just not enjoying the party very much is all” he stammered hesitantly, staring towards the floor, surely he couldn’t risk saying how he felt, it could change everything about his friendship with Y/N and Greg.
“You looked angry when I saw you leaving, did someone annoy you?” Y/N questioned further, she’d known Draco her whole life, she could tell when he was lying.
“No, no, just leave it Y/N I’m fine! Go back to dancing with Ironwood!” he snapped, pulling away from her again and heading down into the gardens.
“Stop lying Draco, I know you better than anyone!” she called, following close behind him, “besides I don’t want to dance with Trenton, he’s a creep!” she added, he ignored her and carried on striding further into the darkness of the gardens away from the house, Y/N couldn’t bare the longing and confusion any longer, she knew she had to tell him how she felt. “If you won’t tell the truth about how you feel, I’ll tell the truth about how I feel” she blurted out, Draco suddenly stopped and turned to face her, still without a word.
It was now or never she thought to herself, so fuelled with adrenaline and Fire Whiskey she began to speak again,
“You’re all I’ve thought about for the past eight weeks and all I’ve wanted was to come here tonight and dance with you, tell you how much I missed you and how much you make me smile, how much I love when you bring waffles to my dorm on Saturday mornings and we share them under my covers and how I don’t want you to share your waffles with anyone else..just me.” Y/N tailed off quietly realising Draco still hadn’t responded, just as she began to panic thinking she shouldn’t have said anything, he strode over, his lips smashing into hers. All the tension of the summer melted from underneath them both, as they leaned in to each other, becoming more passionate by the minute. Draco pulled away slightly leaving his head resting on hers staring into her eyes, a small smile appearing on his face.
“You don’t know how long I’ve wanted to do that” he whispered.
“I hope I didn’t disappoint” Y/N giggles, placing another gentle kiss on his lips.
“You could never disappoint me Y/N” his hand wrapped around her waist pulling her in for a kiss again, Y/N ran her hand through his hair, causing Draco to moan lightly, Y/N’s knees went weak from his response, she’d waited for what felt like a lifetime for this moment.
“Does this mean you feel the same?” she asked quietly, smiling sweetly at him.
“Of course! exactly the same and more! I can’t imagine every loving someone the way I love you!” he exclaimed - pausing as he realised what he just said, his eyes met Y/N’s nervously.
“I love you too” she whispered, kissing him again.
“And for the record I would never share my waffles with anyone but you, ever!” Draco added with a chuckle, Y/N giggled as well, snuggling into his neck, his arms still tight around her, wishing they could just stay there forever, in their little bubble.
But sadly that bubble was quickly burst by the sound of Greg shouting for them both down the garden. “Y/N, Draco, where are you?” Greg’s voice bellowed, slowly getting closer. Y/N instinctively pushed Draco away,
“What are you doing?” Draco questioned, failing to grab her wrist as she backed away a little further.
“You heard what Greg said earlier, I don’t want to annoy him, you’re one of his best friend and I’m his sister, he’ll think it’s too big of a risk, that we would ruin our friendship group. He can’t know, not yet!” Y/N whispered a panicked look in her eye, Draco nodded understandingly.
“There you both are!” Greg cheered appearing round the corner, the giant grin on his face quickly falling as he saw the suspicious looks on both of their faces, “Whats going on?” he asked sternly.
“Nothing, I was just out here to get away from Trenton and then bumped into Draco” Y/N responded innocently.
“Yes, and I just came out for some fresh air, I already told you that Goyle” Draco added.
“Hmm..okay well whatever..” he responded seemingly unconvinced “Just come back inside, I’m bored standing around by myself, let’s get fucking drunk!” he exclaimed, before heading back up the path, Draco and Y/N following a little bit behind.
“It’s our secret for now okay?” Y/N whispered quietly.
“I will try my best, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to resist kissing you, now I know I can” Draco teased, winking at her.
“Draco!” she mimicked a gasp, “you have to promise me!” she pleaded.
“Okay, okay, I promise!” he said, smiling at her cheekily.
“Thank you” she mouthed, as they arrive back at the house, where Greg was holding the back door open, staring them both down and he noticed them whispering again.
The trio headed straight to the bar where they remained for the majority of the night, apart from the occasional dance when the band played songs Y/N actually knew. They chatted about their summers, gossiped about people from school and got extremely drunk, Draco and Y/N occasionally swapping smirks and lustful looks slyly, but overall managing to keep their new found mutual feelings under wraps.
“Gregory, Y/N are you ready to go?” her mother asked, wandering across to where they stood, with their father, Narcissa and Lucius following behind.
“Yes mother” the twins responded.
“Thank you for a wonderful night Narcissa, and you Lucius” their mother said embracing her friends.
“You’re very welcome Cassandra, thank you for coming! Draco go and fetch their coats from the room upstairs!” Narcissa ordered, Draco nodded, heading off upstairs.
“I’ll come and help!” Y/N called, rushing after him as calmly as she could. They soon found themselves in one of the guest rooms where all the coats were hung, alone again, they couldn’t keep off each other for even a second once the door closed behind them. Draco moved quickly towards her, his arms wrapping around her gently as he kissed her, she returned his affections passionately - lips locked for as long as possible.
“I have to go” Y/N whispered beginning to pull away slowly, leaning back in once or twice to peck Draco again.
“I wish you didn’t” Draco responded, reluctantly letting her go, and turning to gather her family’s coats, “I told you I wouldn’t be able to resist kissing you” he chuckled.
“Well you are going to have to try, especially once we are back at Hogwarts, one person sees us and the whole school will know! Including Greg!” she said pulling on her coat.
“Okay okay” he paused for a moment in thought, “how about this - we can meet in the astronomy tower, no one ever goes up there! We need a code word or a signal? For whenever we want to meet up!” he rambled.
“I mean I guess it’s not a bad idea, I’m definitely not going to stop thinking about you, so I’m not sure I’d be able to go even a day without seeing you” she giggled taking her mothers coat from his arms and placing another kiss on his lips.
“Me neither, so it needs to be something subtle if we are going to be doing it 24/7” he laughed.
“I don’t think we need a signal or a code word, I’ll know when I look in your eyes and you’ll know when you look in mine” Y/N said sweetly.
“You’re right” Draco replied, kissing her one more time before opening the door for her. They headed back downstairs quietly, both struggling to hide their beaming smiles as they met their parents and Greg by the front door.
“There you both are!” Narcissa exclaimed.
“Sorry mother, there were just so many coats up there” Draco lied quickly, handing Greg and Y/Ns father their coats, smilingly innocently at them both as he did.
“Here you are mother” Y/N said helping her mother put her coat on, playing the virtuous daughter as well as usual. They all began saying their goodbyes, exchanging hugs and hand shakes.
“We’ll see you next week Malfoy, back to Hogwarts!” Greg said, pulling Draco in for a hug.
“Yes I’ll meet you on the platform” Draco responded to Greg, before moving to hug Y/N, “I’ll see you next week Y/N” he said loudly, “and I am thoroughly looking forward to it” he whispered lustfully in her ear. And with that Y/Ns father ushered his family out the door and apparated them home.
The night had started out slightly bumpy, and she knew Draco and her had a lot to work out, but it seems like Y/N might get her happily ever after in the end.

Word Count: 710
✯¸.•´¨*•✿ Pancake ✿•*¨`•.¸✯
You stride down the delicious-scented great hall hand in hand with your boyfriend in his Quidditch uniform making your way towards the Slytherin table, having a small conversation before the both of you settle next to your other fellow Slytherin students enjoying their breakfast giving them a quick hello. "Hey Pans" you greet putting your arms around her neck in a loving matter hugging her from behind as she takes a bite of her cut-up strawberries, "Morning Gorgeous" she added rubbing the arms you have around her before she pats an empty spot on the bench next to her, inviting you to sit. You did just that making sure your boyfriend Blaise sit next to you too as Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle sat across from the three of you, you gave all three boys a smile and a nod as they all did vice versa.
the 6 of you have always been close ever since 1st year as you were all sorted into the Slytherin house and share a common trait of dislike and hate towards Potter and his other Gryffindork friends, but despite such traits and picking on others the 6 of you are inseparable best of friends, often walking together as a group intimidating others around you which was all in good fun. You scan the table full of breakfast items such as pancakes, toast, waffles, sausages, bacon, eggs, and more wafting its scent through your nose, your mouth starts to salivate as you help yourself to a serving of bacon and eggs your all-time favorite meal, you swear to yourself that if you were in your death bed a plate of bacon and eggs can resuscitate you back to a healthy and normal state again. You take a bite of bacon and a smile instantly appeared on your face but once you look over to your left you saw your boyfriend focusing intently on the daily prophet paper with a cup of black coffee in hand.
As the others were distracted by a conversation you place a calming hand on Blaise's back studying his face curiously, he looked frazzled and a bit nervous, his breathing was a bit off and he tries to let it all go by reading. "Babe, how come you aren't eating anything?" you asked gently leaning your head on his arm, he let out a sigh before looking over at you with a weak smile, "It's nothing love I'm just a bit nervous for today's game" he responds kissing the top of your head before laying his eyes back into the piece of parchments full of news and wonders. You got worried but decide to scan around the table full of breakfast spotting a steamy plate of pancakes lying around ready to be served into someone's plate, your eyes light up, and use the provided spatula to pick up 3 pieces of pancake into your boyfriend plate drizzling syrup over the top of it and a knob of butter on top.
He noticed the commotion you were making and put aside the papers he'd been reading only to find a plate of his favorite breakfast food right in front of him, "Ta-da it's your favorite now open up your mouth and eat" you encourage the nervous boy. He let out a small chuckle and open his mouth open for you to feed him a piece, "How is it babe good?" you asked acting oblivious about the answer he was about to give as if you didn't know that pancakes were his all-time favorites, he nodded with a slight smirk nodding to himself as he enjoys the warm and comforting taste of those pancakes, "Good you need to eat babe being nervous is completely normal but don't you worry you're going to do great... I've never seen such a fast chaser as you" a smile starts to appear watching him swallows the food.
"You're right love, I should be eating before I play otherwise I might mess up" he replies before he starts feeding himself some more, you giggle at his response kissing him on the cheek as you both enjoy your breakfast together later on walking out of the hallway hand in hand towards the quidditch pitch telling each other "I love you".

The Age of Us pt. 1 - Draco x Reader
Prompt: Glimpses into your lives through the years
Pairing: Draco x Slytherin!Reader
Part 2
Part 3 coming soon!
Tumblr media
In First Year you're a ball of glimmering potential. You're staring wide eyed at the brilliant castle before you from the boat house and on the walk up a little Draco is trailing behind you, holding up your robes to prevent them from dragging in the mud. You don't even notice the sweet gesture as you spend the climb up rambling to him about how excited you are to begin learning about magic, bouncy as ever with a smile wider than he's ever been able to draw out from you. Not even his mother's white peacocks at Malfoy Manor brought out such a smile from you, nor the time years ago when you two rolled down the hill on your family's estate, covered in twigs and wrestling in a pile of dried leaves, giggly as ever.
╺╺╺╺╺╺╺
Draco watches proudly as his girl is sorted into Slytherin house, and he welcomes you with a radiant smirk as you trot over to the house table and seat yourself right next to him. He watches eagerly as Potter and that blasted orange haired Weasley boy are called out next, moping methodically along to the sorting hat, watching them with a glare he reserved for the mud-bloods his father would point out on trips to Diagon Alley. He hopes Potter will be sorted into Slytherin, after all, 'connections are key' Lucius would say and who better a connection than the chosen one?
'Oh Draco,' You tut, 'look at the sky!' you're in awe at the ceiling which you've only just noticed, the enchantments were executed so gracefully if you hadn't of read Hogwarts, A History before the year began you would've had no clue the great hall ever had a roof.
He looked at you with the same dirty expression sculpted on his face that he had given Potter through the ceremony, stuck like cement, but when he noticed your doughy lips parted in wonder, he reached over and with a nimble finger, he closed your mouth for you, leaving you blushing a tomato red.
╺╺╺╺╺╺╺
'Up! Up! Up!'
You're standing over your broom, watching the other kids stand in organised lines across from you in the fields, succeeding with calling their brooms to them. Draco had succeeded on the first try, of course, and you're embarrassed to be one of the last people whose brooms have still not so much moved from their original position.
He catches your eye and gives you a sympathetic look, crossing his lips into a firm line. The broom in his hand is tossed carelessly to the ground and he makes a leap towards you, his hands reaching to tenderly adjust your arm in another position.
Draco had received lessons over the Summer and was already worrying his mother as he hastily flew around the Manor windows on the shiny Nimbus Lucius insisted he needed. You watched him on warm Spring afternoons with your feet firmly planted on the ground in the grassy meadows as he perfected his flying, your hands busy with knitting because 'a little girl like yourself needn't fly,' as your mother had so often reminded you when you dared to ask.
'There, try with your hands like that, and say it firmly,' Your best friend instructed you, watching your worried eyes and flushed cheeks.
'I don't know Draco, maybe I just can't fly,' you confess, worried that really was the possibility.
'Just try,' he furrowed his brows, 'for me?'
You shakily nod your head, the last one on the field now without a complying broom. The Longbottom boy had now been escorted to the hospital wing by Madam Hooch and you hoped such a thing wouldn't happen to you but Draco seemed to read your mind when he notices your wandering eyes.
'Just look at me, look at my eyes, Y/N,' he began, rubbing your shoulders 'Don't focus on anything else,'
You gulped, staring into him with an openess you reserved only for him 'Up!'
The broom snaps into your hand and you squeal in excitement, throwing it away as quickly as it flys to you and embracing Draco in a hug so tight he could barely breathe.
You don't notice the glares the two of you received from Potter and his gang, but Draco does, giving them an equally dirty look before marching over to the remembrall that had rolled over and snatching it right off the ground.
 ╺╺╺╺╺╺╺
There was a troll on the loose in the castle and you've been escorted back to the Slytherin dorms by the Head boy and girl. Everyone had gone up into their respective dormitories in fear of being taken by the ghastly monster but you had tugged on Draco's sleeves with puppy dog eyes and begged him to stay in the common room and play a game of friendly wizard's chess with you.
He sighs and rolls his blue eyes to the back of his skull but reluctantly agrees and you sit warm by the fire on a bear hide rug. The chess board is nestled between the two of you and Draco instinctively goes to grab the white King but you start to sulk.
'Oh Draco, please, can I be white this time?' you beg, looking up at him with the biggest and glassiest eyes you could possibly muster. How could he say no?
'Ugh, you just want to be white because you want to use the Wayward Queen opening, you always use that one,' he retaliates, pressing the white King into your little hands.
'Do not!'
'Do too!'
'Do not!'
'Do too!'
You blow him a raspberry and make your first move. Pawn to E4.
'Ah hah!' He exclaims, pointing an accusing finger at you with a light scowl brushed on his features, tussling his air with his other hand in frustration. 'You're doing it! You're doing the same opening!'
You give him a ghastly stare and with a swing of your arm you knock over all of the chess pieces, huffing and puffing as they spread fallen all over the board.
'Fine! Stay down here and get eaten by the troll then!' You hiss at him, and run up to your dorm room to scream into your pillow.
 ╺╺╺╺╺╺╺
You're sitting in the first potions class of the year, listening to Professor Snape lecture Harry about not listening after watching him methodically take notes on the Professor's wise words from a couple rows away. You weren't able to get a seat next to Draco at the front of the class and you silently thanked this luck, having boasted about how much you've studied all Summer in preparations for potions and knowing Draco had not read even a single passage.
You sat next to a bushy haired Gryffindor girl called Lavender who weary looked in a mirror and you smirked as you watched Draco's ivory head listening to Snape assign the first task ever: brewing a common poison antidote. When Snape announces the winning pair will receive 5 points each to their respective houses your eyes twinkle with anticipation.
You leave your partner behind to gather the ingredients for the potion: Bezoar, mistletoe berries and a unicorn horn. You bump into Draco in front of the ingredient cupboard, and beam at him proudly.
'I read about this potion in the potions book,' you smile sweetly up at him, purposefully brushing against him as you shove to grab the vials. 'It should be a piece of pie,' you laugh accusingly, standing as tall as your short legs allow you to.
'Good luck,' Draco laughs vacantly, handing you a unicorn horn from the top shelf you couldn't reach. His fingers brush against yours and you scoff, heading back to your cauldron.
Lavender is sat twirling the knife on its tip on the chopping board as if she'd never seen the utensil before and in the time you were gone had managed to spill water just about everywhere, wetting your parchment and bleeding the ink of the potion recipe.
'My goodness,' You exclaim, rushing to take away the knife and wipe up the water, 'have you two left hands?'
You watch the potion brew and bubble as it cooks, anxiously tracking the time with an hourglass. When the final grains of sands trickle through the narrowed passage, you hastily reach for the unicorn horn you powdered earlier and your heart sinks when you see your partner already poised over the cauldron, a pinch of the precious powder between her fingertips. She carefully sprinkles it into the cauldron and you watch in horror as a noxious cloud of black smoke billows forth and envelops you both in char.
'How many pinches did you put in?' You scream, wiping the soot from your eyes.
'Two,' Lavender whimpers, eyes stinging from the cloud.
'It was meant to be ONE!'
Everyone in the class is now giggling at your misfortunes and Professor Snape has now come over to see what all the commotion is about.
'You two better clean that up right now,' Snape chastised in his nasally voice, condemning you to blush in shame beneath the soot on your cheeks.
As Snape made his rounds, meticulously examining the colors of each potion, his scrutiny lingered noticeably longer on Draco's cauldron. The pungent aroma that emanated from Draco's concoction filled the classroom, matching the textbook's description exactly, causing you to wince involuntarily.
'Malfoy, Zabini, 10 points to Slytherin,' Snape announces.
Draco's triumphant gaze locks onto you as he revels in his perceived victory in the silent competition between the two of you. With a mocking laugh, he directs his attention to your soot-streaked face, his expression one of haughty satisfaction as he proudly asserts his well-deserved win with a piercing stare.
 ╺╺╺╺╺╺╺
Eyes drifting over to Pansy Parkinson you can't help but notice she is staring at your best friend, and you don't like it. You're in Charms class with Professor Flitwick and you're sitting a few seats down from Draco who is stuffed in-between his minions and looking increasingly annoyed from the class introduction Flitwick is moping on about. Pansy has painted on herself an innocent expression she only wore around Draco and you wished you could shake her until the ribbons came undone and her mask fell off.
Despite her Pureblooded nature and family status, you couldn't rid the feeling of unease whenever she was around and sharing a dorm with her turned to be nothing short of a Lovecratian nightmare. There was something about her that set your teeth on edge. You wanted to pry off her veil and examine her flaws beneath a microsope; you wanted to disect her and unravel the intricacies that made you burn with an inextinguishable fire.
You gaped at her when she cheered on Draco who had quickly succeeded in levitating his feather, leaning over the desk so far you thought she would topple right over and end head first in the middle of the classroom, bouncing on her horribly cut bob upside down and out of the classroom window and into the grounds. You imagined it so vividly you started to chuckle to yourself and didn't even realise Draco had been beckoning you with the usual smirk you loved across the desk.
Pansy looked at him eagerly, daydreaming about her name dancing on Draco's tongue rather than yours and she blushed a million shades of red when she realised she was drooling slightly from the corner of her mouth. You shot her a look of disdain, features twisting haughty from her sopping desperation. She knew that you had won - as did you -knowing it was your name on his lips, not hers.
╺╺╺╺╺╺╺
'Potter,' You're seething through your teeth, acknowledging his dreadful existence as you and Draco pass him on the way to the Quidditch fields. You're dressed head to toe in green, showing support for your house. Draco's Slytherin scarf is wrapped securely around your neck, flowing behind you in the wind and you delight in his scent. You can't help but watch Harry in pure disgust, not because you hate him by proxy, but because Draco should be seeker, not him and it wasn't fair.
'Rosier,' He starts back, his eyes narrowing to a squint at the two of you for an instant before he hurries back to the safety of the rest of the Gryffindor team. Malfoy smirks at you proudly, leading you to the Slytherin seating area with a gentle hand on the small of your back, luxuriating in seeing his scarf around your neck.
And when all of Hogwarts watches Harry reveal he has caught the golden snitch, you feel nauseous and you can only think back to all of the nights you spent comforting Draco when he found out Harry had made the team. You scowl, your fingers sliding down to find Draco's beneath the bench and you squeeze them hard. It should've been him.
╺╺╺╺╺╺╺
You wake up in a panicked sweat, the hair on your face sticking on your damp skin. You feel tears sliding down your plump cheeks and you reach up to wipe them away but they won't stop. Nightmares invaded your dreams, mercilessly rocking you awake in a sea of no hope. When you look around your sleeping quarters, you see strange figures in the form of your wardrobe, capes draped across armchairs and coat stands twice your height. Your dormmates are sleeping peacefully In their own beds, their light puffs of air comforting you - but it wasn't enough. You needed Draco.
Gulping, you manage to place your wobbly feet on the floorboards and wrap a Slytherin blanket around your tiny figure, tip-toeing out of the room without causing anyone else to lose sleep. You left the girls a silent prayer for their safety and you snuck down the stairs.
The common room was now empty in the middle of the night, the hot fire still roaring its song to warm the unforgiving dungeons the Slytherin house called home but you couldn't shake the uneasy feeling of being watched by prying eyes and you squeaked with the floorboards, rushing up the stairs opposite and straight to Draco's dorm.
You padded on the door softly with care to not wake the wrong occupant. You whispered his name more times than you could count, counting instead the hot tears that flew to the ground from your leaky eyes. When the door opens revealing a half-asleep Draco he knows right away to open his arms and hold you tight, and that is exactly what he did. That night he inhales your sweet scent and whispers sweet nothings into your ear, lulling the bad dreams away.
╺╺╺╺╺╺╺
Snow topples from the sky and for the first time in your life you're happy about it. Christmas break came and went all too soon and now in front of you lies the vast whiteness of Winter. She covers Hogwarts in a thick blanket and you sink in it's softness, snow filling your boots and socks.
'Ah!', you jump around from the chill, pausing Draco is his steps as he's foraging for a stick to finish the snowman the two of you had spent all afternoon building. He lets out a hearty chuckle directed at you when you point to your boots, mouthing 'wet' and pouting with your pillowy lips.
He is stifling a laugh as he goes back to searching for the perfect twig and you don't feel content at this reaction. Without a single further thought, your gloves pawed into the sheath around you and formed a perfectly round globe of snow. You eyed your target meticulously, catching the eyes of Blaise and Pansy in the process and before Pansy could warn her precious Draco, you've already belted the snowball at him and watched as it exploded into dust on his back.
Draco whips back to see you howling in laughter, bracing yourself with your hands clutching your thighs, the pom of your beanie shaking erratically. He frowns, glancing over to his friends who shrug their shoulders at him, and while Blaise sends a cheeky smile, Pansy is mouthing your name and pointing to you crudely.
'Hey!' he yells, abandoning the stick he spent oh so long looking for and creating his own balls of destruction. He was going to make you regret this.
That afternoon you all walked back to the castle covered in snow and ice, hair wet and lips pink but you silently wished the day would have never ended and you replayed it over and over in your head that night, cackling silently when the image of Draco's scowl turned into a mischievous grin and it all lingered in your mind.

Scarlett's POV:
"It's been a week since the Halloween dance and Adrian caught me leaving my dorm the next afternoon and apologized. Explaining to me that it looked bad on him that I would be showing that much skin around other people. I hesitantly  apologized, but apologized no less and told him that I would be more modest. “Good girl” he said as he kissed my cheek and walked me to class.
Draco and I have our meeting with the Dark Lord tonight and we have been in the room of requirement every night trying to get this damn thing open. We are no closer than when the term started. Needless to say, we are bloody stressed.
Slipping into my wand into my jumper, I stand outside Draco and Theos dorm. I knock on the large oak door twice. “Come in.” I hear Draco's voice call. When I open the door I see Draco pacing back and forth from his bed to Theos, mumbling to himself. Seeing as my lovely cousin is having a sort of panic attack I take a seat on the edge of Theos bed.
The bathroom door to my left squeaks open. “Hey, tell me if you see my father will you? Oh, and feel free to throw him under the night bus if you get the chan--” He pauses looking at me with his seductive smile. “Bambina, I didn't hear you come in.” Theo is wearing just a towel that is low on his hips and water is dripping from his chest and disappearing under the towel.
Say something Scarlet! I yell at myself. “I uh. Yeah. Draco said it was okay to come in.”
“Well it's more than okay. Are you here to keep me company while our Drakey goes to see the Dark Lord. “ He says that last part with a very dramatic Italian accent while using another towel to dry his curly hair.
This stops Dracos pacing “What? No Theo. She is coming with me. The letter from mother specifically said her presence was required. I’m only invited because hes at the Manor.”
“What? Why do they need Scarlet?” Theos eyes start to gray while he is looking at me with concern.
“I am not sure.” Draco says digging through the mess of blankets on his bed, looking for his wand. Once his wand is secured, he holds his hand out for me, I stand up to grab it when I am stopped with a loud thump from behind me. Theo now has a black jumper on and is struggling to put his pants on.
“Hold on. I am coming with you.” He says once his pants are on and he's reaching for his own wand.
“Theo. No. You cannot come.” Draco is pulling us away from the brown haired boy. “The Dark Lord requested her. Not you.”
“You're bloody mad if you think I am just going to let her get thrown at his feet. You know what he is capable of.” His face is red and his eyes are fully gray now. Anger radiating off him in waves.
“Theo.” I reach for his hand, pulling his attention off of Draco. His eyes snap to mine and lighten slightly. “I will be fine. I promise. He probably just wants me to attend because I essentially live with Malfoys.” I give him my best convincing smile.
If I am being honest, when Cissy wrote that he requested me to be there as well I was flooded with panic. It's all I have been able to think about. But Theo cannot go. I do not want to anger The Dark Lord anymore than he will already be.
“Please. We will tell you everything we can when we get back. I promise.” I squeeze his hand reassuringly.
Still looking unconvinced he pulls me into a hug and kisses the top of my head. “Please be safe, Bambina. Draco, please bring her straight back here.”
With Theo releasing him from their man hug, he puts his hand on Dracos shoulder and steps back. With one final look, Draco takes my hand in his and the uncomfortable twist and pull from the belly we are home. Malfoy Manor.
——————————————————————————————————
Aunt Cissy is standing outside the gates of the Manor awaiting our arrival.
“Mum. Is he here already?” Draco asks quietly while hugging his mother and giving her a chast kiss on the cheek.
“Yes. He's inside waiting for you two.” She pulls me as well and kisses my cheek. “Come on. We have to hurry. Need not anger him. Remember what I taught you both?” Closing my eyes and taking a deep breath, I locked all my doors. Stealing myself off. I turn and see Draco doing the same.
Making our way into the manor feels like a death sentence. As soon as we walk through the doors we can hear screams. Female screams. And then that laugh that haunts my dreams. My mothers laughed.
There, sitting at the dinner table on a large wingback chair sits the Dark Lord.
“Ah, my Protégés have arrived. Sit. Sit.” He waves his hand out to indicate for us to sit next to him at the table. As we make our way around the table I see many familiar faces. Nott Sr. Umbridge. Snape. The Carrows. Crabbe Sr. Goyle Sr. Aunt Cissy, Lucius, and of course my mom and dad. Bellatrix and Rodolphus.
“Little Lestrange. Your father tells me you have come a long way with your training.” His red eyes are trained on me. I can feel a pinch in between my eyes. I try to focus on his words. “Yes my lord.”
The room is silent. “Then how come… You and the young Malfoy boy have yet to fix the cabinet?” I feel Draco stiffen next to me.
I am starting to sweat, “Well my lord.” I swallow hard. “It has proven to be more difficult than we originally anticipated..” He is pushing through now. Breaking all the locks he sees.
“And here I was… hoping your father wasn't lying to me. That you could in fact be useful.” out of the corner of my eye I can see Rodolphus seething. “Stand up Little Lestrange.” Taking a deep breath I stand up beside my chair.
“Rodolphus, why don't you show us some of your… training methods.” I stiffen, eyes darting to aunt Cissy, only to realize that she can't help me. Breathe…
Then before I realize,He shouts.  “Crucio” I try to stay strong. I try to focus all of my energy on staying standing. He is still pushing through my mind and now with me being distracted images of Adrian, Pansy, Blaise and Draco flashes through my mind. Late night study sessions, stolen kisses in alcoves, dress shopping. He rips through my memories one by one.
“Remove the disillusionment charm Bellatrix. Let her show us her true self.”
“Please” I pleaded quietly to the floor. I see her flick her wrist “as you wish my lord”.
My eyes wander to Draco. I have never shown him my scars. I have never told him what goes on when I am not at Hogwarts or here. No one knows but my parents.
My skin feels chilled and I know that the charm was removed as well as the jumper that I was wearing. Gasps and murmurs from around the group. Tears streaming down my face and Draco's eyes are fully gray as he stares at me.
“There she is…” The Dark Lord smiles sinisterly. “Again.” This time it's Bellatrix to cast the curse, smiling her yellow teeth at me.
“Crucio.” I'm screaming. The pain is deafening. White hot blades working their way from inside my skin trying to get out. His attack on my mind doesn't stop. This time. Images of Theo work their way to the forefront of my mind. I try to push them back but I am so weak.
Late nights by the lake. Butterflies in my stomach when he calls me “Mi ragazza”. His smile as he kisses my hand. Falling asleep on him in the common room. The way my heart wrenches when he comes back from visiting his father, covered in bruises and with broken bones.
I can't fight back. I finally break, falling to the floor.
“Nott....” the Dark Lord stops his attack and turns towards the elder Nott. “Ah yes. Your heir… Why hasn't he been marked?”
Nott Sr. Looks confused, eyes narrowed as he looks from me to the Dark Lord. “He doesn't have what it takes my Lord… He is a disgrace and a disappointment to our family name.” Disgust riddles the elders' words.
The Dark Lord contemplates this for a second “Our Little Lestrange here, begs to differ. It seems she cares a great deal for your son…” I am struggling to breathe when I am lifted by my arm, to stand by my father. “Nott… Come forward.” My vision is starting to blur but I can see Nott Sr. coming to stand in front of me.
“What do you think your son thinks of our little Lestrange? Do you think that her feelings are… reciprocated…?” The elder Nott assesses me closely. “I am not certain, my lord.” he says solemnly.
“I see… What do you think, little Lestrange?” I can barely think, let alone will myself to speak.
“SPEAK” The Dark Lord yells, with a flick of his wand I'm screaming, pain coursing through my body. “N-no… M-my L-lord.” I can feel the blood starting to trickle from the laceration he created just now on my collar bone. Blood slithering down my arm and my chest.
Deep in thought the Dark Lord “ Well… What about you Nott. Are you interested in our Little Lestrange?” Stepping up to me I can feel Nott Sr. coming closer. Running his fingers down my scar over my eye.
The other men in the room are watching intently “Well… I guess without all the scars she was quite attractive. Perky breasts. Round behind.” His hand trails from my face down to my collar bone. I try to squirm away but I am unable to while being held in place by Rodolphus. Hands ghosting over my right breast, I involuntarily take a deep haggard breath.
“She seems eager for an affectionate touch from a Nott… How about the rest of you?... Greyback? Dolohov?...” The Dark Lord suggests to the rest of the men around the room. “I hear they can be quite… intense…” The Dark Lord whispers to me.
Both men rise from their seats to come near me, just as eager as Nott. Sr. Tears are flowing freely now. I can still sense them standing in front of me. Eyes trained on me, licking their lips.
My breathing picks up, my limbs locked in place. Whimpers of pain and fear escaping my mouth.
“Now, Now… Settle down Little Lestrange. They won't touch you… Not yet…”
“Sit back down.” He dismisses the men to be seated again and my vision has cleared a bit he speaks to me again.
“You will fix that cabinet. You will get us into Hogwarts. If not…” He goes quiet and looks around at the men who had all been standing around me
“Then you get a taste of what life is like for your precious Nott Jr. at home.” His snake-like smile reaches Draco and with a wave of his hand he calls my cousin to attention. “Malfoy… Get our Little Lestrange back to school. You have a cabinet to fix.”
Draco doesn't need to be told twice. With quick movements he carefully takes me from Rodolphus’ hold and walks me out of the dinner room.
Once we are out of earshot of the others Draco tries to talk to me, I think he is trying to calm me down, but I can't concentrate on what he's saying. He picks me up bridal style and my head lays limply on his chest.
His heart is beating rapidly. Whispering to me. Words unclear. The blood is draining from the new laceration fast. I feel the pull of apparition but as soon as we land back in the dorm I feel as if I'm drying.
