For any followers of mine still living with parents, guardians, family, or even just with roommates and who've never lived alone and/or fully on your own terms (whether ye be 16 or 60), I have TWO pieces of wisdom for you for when you eventually do:

You WILL discover that you were wrong about some shit you felt pretty strongly about before. Maybe you never realized how often your mom ACTUALLY cleans the bathroom and it turns out she asked for help really rarely. Maybe, much as it grates to admit, putting $50 into a different savings account every paycheck really IS the ONLY way to save any fucking money. Maybe that big rolling trashcan you resented your roommate putting in the kitchen, and got in that big fight about, really WAS super convenient and now you have to buy one for yourself after they move out and take it with them. Maybe blanching vegetables so they retain their color when cooked actually DOES enhance a meal, pretty food slaps actually, and the reason you didn't think it was worth the effort is because you were depressed.

You WILL also discover new shit that works SO much better for you than everything you'd been taught. Maybe you'll discover that dropping trash off at a recycling center at your convenience works way better for your brain than getting it picked up on a set day. Maybe you'll realize you don't actually hate tofu, you just hate how your family cooks tofu. Maybe you'll love being able to walk around the house naked whenever you want. Maybe you'll find you thrive in a space with giant framed nude photography, or taxidermy animals, or fandom themed Everything. Maybe you'll realize that keeping the thermostat set like 5 degrees colder (or hotter) than is typical makes you sleep better than you ever have before in your whole life.

The point of this wisdom is: Stay humble, but also, stay excited. There's no point pretending you weren't wrong about shit you were wrong about, just eat the crow and move on. But also, there's so much to look forward to about your own space-- even more than you could ever imagine when you don't have it yet.

#invaluable item: bowl-sized soup pot #well it should be about 2x the size of what you'd eat in a bowl of soup to allow stirring room #food #u make ur ramen in there while frying up the eggs that go on top #get water to a boil and add ramen flavor packets #once it's at a simmer heat up ur frying pan #eggs should hit the hot pan around the same time as ramen hits the boiling water #then turn off the ramen heat and cover #by the time you're done cooking the eggs how you like (i prefer over medium) the ramen should be done #so u can slide the eggs on top #if you have bok choy or any quick-cook veg slide it in between the ramen and the egg #itll blanch by the time you bring the pot over to ur desk #god i made these tags long oops

this idea has been going around in my mind for a few years now, and i never actually saw the project through-- until i finally finished it today!

my husband and i first connected over our love for the golden girls, and my grandma and i would watch it together when i was young... so it's always had a special place in my heart. im sure its obvious, but i also love fantasy... so clearly why wouldnt i combine my two favorite things LMFAO

i wanted to design fantasy outfits and weapons (and i admit, i rarely do weapon design) that would best match their personalities, and sort of attune them to custom classes because i felt i couldnt completely box them into one thing. SO, that said, here are some of my thoughts:

The Golden Guild Blanche Devereaux, Holy Rogue (DPS) Proud daughter of the South, Blanche is clever and capable of getting what she needs by any means necessary. With Big Daddy's Blade of the Anointed, she surveys ahead to scout for safety for her friends--commonly with surveying the men of the land--but maintains that a true lady would never allow any man to best her. Dorothy Zbornak, Battle Mage (Tank) As the esteemed High Magus, Dorothy is gifted with the great prowess of the arcane arts. Though typically unsuccessful in her quest to be the Grand Magus, she's a great and dedicated scholar who is always prepared to jump in and defend her friends with her mind and her life. Rose Nylund, Druidic Bard (Healer) Life-binder of the Realm and true friend, Rose stops at nothing to spread warmth and love to everyone she meets. Despite being naive and a little too trusting, she stops at nothing to keep her friends together, safe, and healthy with her magickal songs and (questionable) snacks. Sophia Petrillo, Cleric Gunslinger (DPS) Filled with smart comebacks for everything, Sophia is a strong-willed matriarch with wisdom in spades. With a low tolerance for nonsense but a passion for fun, she keeps her friends stable with her quick wits and her penchant for diplomacy... or what she thinks is diplomacy.
