Any Shawol, or other K-Pop fan that has been through something similar, YOU DO NOT NEED TO PROVE THAT YOU ARE A BIG FAN OF A GROUP/IDOL FOR RANDOM STRANGERS ON THE INTERNET! If they don’t believe you or they’re accusing you of something you’re not, do not destroy your self worth just to stay with them.

Better people will come through when you least expect it, and I’m living proof that this exists. I left social media for months due to cyber bullying for being a Blinger (a SHINee fan that is Jonghyun biased) and decided to go to cupsleeve events to find K-Pop fans. By chance, I met two K-Pop fans on the streets of Piccadilly Circus/Oxford Circus that are super into K-Pop and love me for who I am without changing or removing any aspect of my identity. Pretty much, I feel comfortable talking about SHINee and Jonghyun with them without feeling awkward or judged. Everything is two-sided, authentic and this is the first time I ever felt like I wasn’t second priority in a friendship. I met other great Shawols too, but I just had to show my latest win.

If finding friends online isn’t working for you, then you can take a break and find friends elsewhere. Just because we’re living in the 21st century, doesn’t mean EVERYONE is looking for friends online. You got to try and find a place that makes you feel welcome and comfortable. There’s plenty of places that you could find, or you could just be lucky and bumped into the right person at the right time. Just get yourself out there and you could find someone without realising it.

With all these years of being a Shawol and a Blinger, I had realised that you could summon other Blingers or 5hawols if you or that person comes out as such. All you have to do is mention Jonghyun’s tiddies and they should reply something like “Not gonna lie, he does have some nice tiddies.”

This lyric is from Jonghyun's song, "Love is So Nice." In the song, Jonghyun sings about hanging out with someone he loves, them both being incredibly comfortable around each other.

He sings about them being warm during a cold night, mentioning a chimney and two people cuddling together. It's truly a very sweet song, and it definitely warms my heart, every time I hear it.

Have any of you ever had a person in your life that you can keep warm with, on a cold winter night? To many, Jonghyun was that person, even though many of us were very far apart from him. He was definitely that person for me. He was that person that you could be comfortable around him and be yourself as well. When I first became a fan of Jonghyun, I always wanted to be everyone but myself, and while I still sometimes have those moments, it's definitely progressed from before I discovered Jonghyun. And I'm sure the feeling was, and still is, mutual.

I can’t believe I managed to gather more people for this hashtag… I never thought this many people would speak on their experiences but look at us now.

Also I’m so sorry for each and every one of you. You guys really didn’t deserve to be treated like that. I really didn’t know it was quite common that it even happened to people outside of social media.

I hope I could be a great advocate for all of y’all so everyone could get heard. Also, this many people wanting to do #milkforjonghyun is RIDICULOUS. I was worried that it would be seen as disrespectful by everyone, but you guys seem to be on with the tradition. It’s like you guys still have that youthful, unfiltered Shawol-selves inside of you that was waiting to come out when it was the time.

To all the Shawols that still write for Jonghyun (especially if it’s smut), thank you so much for making me feel like I am not the only person who still fantasise waking up next to him, feeling his smell and even cuddling him in bed. And for you to unapologetically still love him the way you did just over 5 years ago and not change a thing brings some sort of closure of my pure Shawol soul trapped away for me to be the person everyone expects me to be on the day-to-day life. I love how our community consists with like-minded people with the same beliefs as me and wouldn’t harass or even judge me for anything that I do. Thank you.
