Considering making an rp blog where I play a bewildered longtime starkid fan who somehow, thanks to the Lords in black, ended up in none other then Hatchetfield, Michigan. Now, she has to navigate the world of a small Midwestern town that just happens to always be in danger, and also try to meet some of her favorite characters along the way.

You guys can come in and like, interact and shit as a perspective from the "real world" and other Hatchetfield rp blogs can rp n shit. The only things holding me back are the lack of time and also... would anyone be interested?? Like I like this idea but I'm not going forward with it if you guys don't do anything.

I've been thinking about sharing some wins and failures randomly. Maybe on Sundays as a list of weekly wins and failures or maybe highlight specific days. Idk. It could help add a more personal touch to this blog and also get more people more exposed to acknowledging regular failures while also celebrating regular wins. I also tend to focus a lot on my failures while giving my wins little attention and I'd make sure I listed at least as many, if not more, wins than failures to try and force myself to acknowledge that I actually do things right and it's ok to say that I did something good.

It helps build confidence while also exposing (and hopefully eventually normalizing) failure in daily life. Society is so focused of perfection and such and it's so damaging to our health and esteem. And I want people to know it's ok to fail and it's ok to acknowledge your failures and it's ok to talk about them healthily. Failure isn't inherently shameful. Messing up is natural and common. And we beat ourselves up over it constantly and compare our failures to others wins and I am so guilty of this. I need to change my mindset and work on this and I'm sure many of y'all do too.

I was just gonna do this in my journal, but thought that maybe sharing my academic/education/productivity related wins and fails might interest some of yall too. I'd love to hear yalls feedback on this idea!

(And yes I mean failures. I want to call them failures and I don't want to sugar coat them or dress them up or make them seem glamorous or whatnot. I'm tired of people being so uncomfortable with failing at things and I'm tired of myself trying to put a positive twist on some failures that are just major failures.)

Kind of inspired by Shen's recent project, I'm trying to think up a way to make a tamagotchi-style thing work on Tumblr in the long term. Maybe asks could play a role. Are there any cases of this already? It feels like there's some untapped potential here.
