How are you doing?

hey! I am doing much better these days, PMDD is kicking my butt every month still but I am doing pretty well considering. I had to reduce my hours in work to help reclaim some of my life that PMDD takes but it helps a lot so I am very grateful I am able to do that. I got married last year and now am living with my spouse so that has been a dream come true and is such a big help too! I still have way too many hobbies and counting (thanks neopets) for my time available but I am slowly rotating them all and making the most out of my time finally!

I am really sorry that I was away for so long. At the time that I left, I was just so overwhelmed due to my PMDD getting worse and becoming unbearable, working whilst ill, trying to catch up on work / life missed due to ill health etc. and it all got a bit too much for me. Even the thought of coming back to the blog after a couple weeks was too overwhelming (because of how I was running the blog at the time). Later on I had also deleted Tumblr from my phone in an attempt to reduce screen time but it meant that I stopped using it completely and I regret that it largely contributed to me staying away for so long.

I want to give this blog a big old reboot and get it up and running again but I realised that I need to change the way that I run the blog. Previously I had this HUGE backlog of submissions that caused me to have to spend hours and hours one day of my weekend to get through so many submissions. I wanted to just power through until eventually I’d get to the point where I’d just be able to handle submissions as soon as they come in then and there but there was just too many and it took too much of a toll and I hit breaking point. :(

So I’ve decided to just run the blog now how I've always wanted to - by dealing with submissions as and when they come in and opening/closing submissions to keep it to a manageable level (I'm sure this is how other blogs do it, I think I am just dumb lol). I will also post them immediately as and when they come in and only use the queue if I’m going to be posting several posts in a row to avoid spamming. It just means posting will be a bit more sporadic sometimes that’s all. However, in order for me to do this, I am going to have to omit the backlog (for now). I can always go back to the backlog and shave some off if I can handle it (or please feel free to resubmit anything I've not already posted).

I’ll make a new pinned post in a couple of days explicitly explaining the new changes to how the blog will be run behind the scenes, although honestly it’s not going to affect much on you guys side of things, you will still see the same content and submit the same way. I just want to add a rule to say please do not submit more than one post a day and that I’ll open/close submissions to keep things manageable. Submissions will stay off until that post comes out so just bear with me (🐻) a little longer!

Just want to say before I end this really long post (they always get so out of hand lol) that I MISSED YOU GUYS TOO and I LOVE YOU ALL and your kind messages made me so very motivated to get this going again, thank you! 🥺❤️ I can’t wait to bring you more of these little critters we love so much once again :)

How tf do Vertibirds even work? I'm writing a lot of scenes with Vertibirds and I keep saying "he took the key out of the ignition" after they land because I don't want the possibility of a mf stealing it. Like?? Keys feel so old school for this time period?? But if all it takes is a button press, that feels like it's too easy to steal it. Idk man.

First of all, thank you all for sticking around on my blog.

I really can't express enough how happy I am to know that all of you enjoyed my writing this much to stick around and continued this horny simp ride.

Secondly, I wanted to apologize for the inactivity on my blog.

I haven't been exactly in the right head space for a while and it's affecting my writing. I only want the best for my work and it just hasn't been like when I started in a while. I've been trying to make myself feel better and write more, but I realized pushing it will come out with bad quality.

I've also noticed that even when I finish and post a chapter, the next one is barely thought out! So, until I get a few drafts completed, I wanted to stop posting Valentino chapters until then!

This won't take long as I've got a few ideas, but I felt that it'd be best I say smthing rather than leave you guys in the dark! ^^❤️

I love you all, and I'm so happy to report that I am in fact not really okay.

People seem to have A Thing or Person they can point at and say this, this was my gay awakening, but for me it was more of a slow born thing, a gradual coming up of realizations one after the other in rousing crescendo, one simple beat at a time until it became a complex cacophony of noise too loud to ignore, from every little thing or person I experienced or saw, moment to moment, building up into one queer me. I'm a culmination without a starting point to look at and say this person/thing is what did it for me. First, it was just learning that two boys were allowed to kiss in a simple story, and then twelve, fifteen years later, here I am, loud, proud, and queer to the end. Hey all I am sorry about the lack of posts lately, i have struggled to queue posts at the moment as I am stuck in the cycle of chronic illness flaring up, then me having to take time off work for it and then having to make up the work time I’ve missed when symptoms aren’t as strong leaving me with no free time and no energy 😭😭. It’s been a particularly tough one this time as well but I am on the mend slowly and will be queuing posts as soon as possible again before we know it. Thank you for being patient with me ❤️

I'm not dead.

I've been trying to get back into the swing of things. To my new followers, hello! I'm a fallout fanfic writer by day, overnight warehouse worker by night, and I'm studying to be an editor.

General life updates below the cut, but long story short, life's a little difficult at the moment and I'm thinking of writing something fun for you guys to read.

For those of you that give a hoot, my English grammar studies fell off a little bit after the holidays and a week-long vacation that I spent doing a lot of gardening. (Very happy with the gardening btw.)

However, on top of having to pay out $550 in taxes, my grandmother informing me that the exercise bike she gave me is going to cost me $250, attempting to pay off two credit cards, and buying gardening supplies and flowers, my parttime status is... getting questionable? Plus, the week-long vacation was nice and all, but we took a pay cut from that because we usually get more than 8 hours every night. Since we didn't work those days, we got 8 hour pay instead of our usual 9-11 hour pay. (We work 'til the job is done, however long that takes.)

As every day goes by, I am reminded again and again why I want to work for myself and why I am beginning to hate America. Rumors going around that the government is attempting to restrict or even ban at-home food gardening, I've just decided to stick to flowers in the flower bed and maybe two new trees and skip the tomatoes, potatoes, broccoli, etc. that I planned to plant this year. Financially, it's probably for the best anyways.

SO. I'm thinking about writing a little somethin'-somethin' to entertain myself and you guys. It'll also help me get back into a good writing routine.

I'm practicing better self-care, too. Drinking iced lemon water, cutting back on the coffee and energy drinks, washing my face more regularly, moisturizing my hands, feet, and face, and going to bed and getting up at the same times every day. Anyone who knows how difficult self-care is with ADHD, I salute you. It's hard. I have to compromise with myself just to take a shower most days.

Good tips on staying motivational in order to get some studying done would be appreciated. I hope you're all doing well. Feel free to message me if anyone ever needs someone to talk to, shit's hard out here. Keep on keepin' on.
