supreme skz hairstyles please join me at this table
chan: long and curly (PEAK: overgrown and mullet-y)
era: miroh
im not sayin anything anyone disagrees with. even chan is with me on this one. god bless his hair hes beautiful always. he looks so sexy w some volume RAAAAHHH
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(go under the readmore if you want to see me go into unnecessary and unasked for detail about stray kids hair styles that gets progressively more biased as i lose my mind slowly)
lee know: long and dark (peak: BLACK)
era: pre-5star
god he’s just gorgeous and sexy and long black hair is gorgeous and sexy. he has yet to have long and black hair simultaneously but i can keep praying. also hes kind of had the same haircut for forever (its okay because hes sexy) BUT he has had a LOT of hair colors and my favorite is gods menu era orange [ERIKA JAYNE MOAN]. 5star maroon can get an honorable mention. holy fuck he looked so good in gods menu
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
changbin: two block or, if you’re feeling spicy, undercut
era: A) this photo is god damn everywhere but have no idea the source im a toddler stay B) he always has this hair
the most stable member hairstyle wise but im not complaining cuz he’s sexy. dark, weight on top, bangs, side part, baby you’re perfect just the way you are
changbins hair has been dark forever except for like two times (varying shades of brown and then back door) and he looked good but dark hair is just iconic and sexy for him
Tumblr media Tumblr media
hyunjin: black wolf cut UUUUUGGGGHHHHHH
era: RIGHT NOW. also he had the same cut in maxident but brown
Tumblr media Tumblr media
han: LONG. SIDE PART. (peak: wavy)
era: my pace, 5 star
ive never had so many things to say about a complete strangers hair you have no idea how much i'm holding back for the sake of fairness and the length of this post. the longer and messier the better. peak is my pace but not the color. he looks the best in COOL COLORS. guys am i showing signs of being obsessed with han jisung or do you think im playing it off well be honest
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
felix: BACK DOOR!!!!!!!!!
era: BACK DOOR!!!!!!!! also kingdom kind of
mullet!!! the MULLET. felixs supreme peak look is the MULLET. im not a blonde felix supremecist in the slightest. its this CUT. i think he looks best in black hair but he has never had the two (mullet and dark hair) simultaneously. i love black hair on him (can you tell i have a thing for black hair)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
kim seungmin: you know what im gonna say. side part maxident streak. (peak: PINK) (peak: FOREHEAD [ERIKA JAYNE MOAN])
era: maxident
but wait i'm not done. because 5 star coral/orange seungmin (and all its phases) is ALSO peak. and you know what else. his curly blonde hair in that one christmas performance was ALSO peak. jype is making a wise decision by only releasing his forehead periodically because its so powerful every time hes styled with it its like a gust of wind blasts through my village and shakes the foundations of my home.
vv i know the pink streak and brown hair+forehead pic are essentially the same but he looked so good in skzfamily 3 that i had to include it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i.n: listen to me when i tell you black straight hair jeongin is my favorite. he is the love of my life. i am NOT giving him a boring answer and if you accuse me of that i will hunt you. he has these sharp gorgeous features and when his hair is stark black it just kills me. LISTEN TO ME.
era: many but most recently 5 star (NOT kingdom/thunderous era black mullet)
vvv he is so sexy and he is my boyfriend and i am not delusional.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^remember when my goal was 1 hairstyle and 2 pics per member? what happened to han and seungmin? when did we lose the plot
do you think you can guess my biases from this

Oikawa Tooru x reader (haikyuu!!)
word count: 2.3k
TW: 18+, lemon, wattpad, crack
Tumblr media
A/N: I’m so sorry. This is actually a joke, a parody, I promise, it’s written like this on purpose for the collab. Terrible (or lack entirely of) grammar, dialogue so cheesy I threw up multiple times in my mouth, too many specifications of shades of the colour pink. For @undermattsun’s whorehouse wattpad garbage fire collab. I’m so sorry.

grape·fruit
/ˈɡrāpˌfro͞ot/
In the world of fandom (check out fan fiction, fanfics, or fics), a grapefruit is a story which consists of sexual explicit themes in bizarre situations.
An orange-twinged pink, almost coral.

“hurry up y/n!!!” - i remove my skullcandies out my ears, hearing my best friend sunnie(with an ie! not y!) shout to me from down the hall.
flipping my baby pink (NOT cotton candy pink! god there’s a difference, get it right. last week ash-lee with her stupid bleach blonde hair called it cotton candy pink and I wanted to kill her) hair behind my shoulder, i skipped down the lockers.
i was in my best outfit, checkered pink and white (bubblegum pink, this time) leg warmers with my matching pink + white skirt and white denim jacket with a pink butterfly bedazzled on the back. i saw paris hilton in it on her myspace too, so you could say im pretty trendy.
not like the other girls, like brittney (with her dark hair with a blue streak with a puppy shaped purse she swears is designer.) or ash-lee with her stupid ugly blonde hair that’s deffo fake. oh i already said that
anyways
it’s just an average tuesday morning, and i’m just your not-so-average girl. my name’s (y/n) (l/n) and im (age) years old. my best friends are sunnie, rachelle, and meeky. oh, and lindt, sometimes, when she’s not too busy with trying to save the world from global warming.
i’m on my way to p.e. which UGH is my least fav class, who even came up with it? but at least there’s the hottie oikawa tooru-sama in my class (ha! eat that ash-lee + brittney) and all the girls luuuuurv him. he’s soooo hot i bet he has abs
(brianna with the ugly hair who wears green shoes with red socks said she saw him change once and she totally saw his 8pack but she’s a liar so i dont believe her)
(even tho he tooootally has one)
i was on way just skipping down the hall to go to p.e. when someone crashes into me from behind.
‘-u-GH!’ i fall.
‘hey!!!!’ i turned around to yell at who’s bumping into me-
it was oikawa tooru-sama!! the most popular boy in school!!! i felt like i was in a dream i pinched my hand but... it hurts!!! this isn’t a dream!!! the oikawa tooru-sama just crashed into me!!! with his body!!! his shoulder touched me!!!!!
he turn and looks at me and... my heart stops. i think im dying omgomgomg
‘a-are you okay (y/n)-chan?’ he asks me and holds his hand out.
i cant believe it. the oikawa tooru-sama is giving me his hand to hold?!?! is this heaven???
‘i-i-‘ i stammer. i’m so shocked i swear my face is beat red. ‘i-i’m ok.’
i was too scared to hold his hands because mine were so sweaty from seeing him this upclose. i stand up and dust my knees because i want him to think i’m tough. that’s right. oikawa tooru-sama is a professional vball player! (v for volley-ball) he’s not going to like some dumb average weak normal crybaby girl.
‘ok. see ya in class!’ he smiles and waves at me before walking down the hall, shooting me his signature smile. the one that makes flowers bloom around him and glitters around his whole body.
h-how did he know? did he just say in class??? the oikawa tooru-sama knows who i am???
i take out my phone to frantically text my bffs (sunnie, rachelle, meeky and lindt) and see the group chat had some unread new messages. i click open it.
(beep)
𝚋𝚕@𝚑𝚔𝚞𝚐𝟶𝟶: omgzzzz i juss saw tsukki-sama xDDD
𝕣𝕒𝕖𝕖𝕖𝕖𝕩𝕠𝕩𝕠: STDU XDD wut wuzz he wearin?!? hes sooooo hawt oh em geez
tsukki-sama, aka tsukishima kei-sama, is the hot blondie in the other class’s vball team. rachelle and sunnie are sooo in love with him, but i don’t blame them. he’s soooo tall, taller than oikawa tooru-sama even. (but that doesn’t matter because oikawa tooru-sama has the prettiest smile in the world and no one’s seen tsukki-sama smile like... since he came outta the womb)
i quickly type out my txt because this is more important than what the blonde vball star is wearing.
(beep)
𝖗𝖆𝖜𝖗𝖇4𝖐4: guizzzzz guizzzz GUIZE!!!! GUEZZ WUT JUSS HAPPND!!
𝖗𝖆𝖜𝖗𝖇4𝖐4: u’ll nv beliv it!!!!! omGZZZZZ IM LAIK DYINN XDDDDDDD TT_TT
sk8erg1rl: omgawd wuuuut
sk8erg1rl: w8 kita-sama jus sk8dd by me i fink he haz a new b04rd!!!!! be are be
𝖗𝖆𝖜𝖗𝖇4𝖐4: uGGGHRRR MEEKY DIS IZ MOAR IMPOARTAN!!!!!!
before i have the chance to tell them about my fateful encounter with the oikawa tooru-sama someone snatches my phone away. i turn around, maybe it’s oikawa tooru-sama again?
UGH NO IT’S OUR STUPID BALD PRINCIPAL. now i’m in trouble.
‘no phones in the hall (y/n) (l/n)-san!’ he yells at me. his breath stinks, yuck.
he takes my phone and puts it in his pocket and i realize that he’s putting it in his pocket and taking it away.
‘b-but-‘ jimmy i protest. not my flip phone with my pink bedazzled hello kitty charm on the end!
‘no buts!!!! see you after lecture missy!!’
god, this is just like, the worst day ever.

p.e. is the same as always: im sitting on the side, not doing sports because girls like me can’t risk breaking my perfectly painted pink (hot pink, not baby pink) nail with diamonds on it. i tell my bffs about the encounter and they all agree that it’s deffo fate.
‘i know right??’ i giggle staring down at the man of my dreams, at his chocolate brown locks, thinking back at his dreamy brown orbs staring into my dark black ones offering me his hand.
‘you should totes ask him out!’ giggles sunnie.
‘oh em gee, never!!! that’s sooo embarrassing, he’s totally gonna say no!’ i said.
‘seriously, (y/n)-chan, what do you have to lose?’ rachelle said.
‘just like, my dignity and self respect.’ i reply sassily.
at that we three burst into laughter, and the fat p.e. prof turns and tells us shhhhhhh.
i love my friends.
i tell them about our bald principal taking my pink flip phone with the hello kitty charm on it away.
‘oh no!’ rachelle exclaimed.
‘what are you going to do?’ sunnie asked.
i shrug, feeling at a loss without it.
‘it’s like, seriously dangerous without a phone.’ the blonde said.
‘what if you get like, kidnapped or something?!’ the purplenette said, clasping her hand over her mouth in a show of shock. (ps. bluette vs. blunette?)
‘kidnapped?!?’ i laugh. ‘who’s gonna kidnap me?!!’ we all burst into laughter again, causing our p.e. prof (still fat and annoying) to shhh us again.
little did i know that the brunette vball star was staring up at me, plotting.
i had no idea what was about to come.

when i open my eyes, my eyes are heavy, staring up at a bright light above my head. i squint my eyes because the light hurts my eyes.
‘well, well, well’ i hear a voice behind me. ‘(y/n)-himesama’s awake, i see.’
wait-
i know that voice-
that’s-
that’s the oikawa tooru-sama’s voice!
‘w-what?’ i stuttered, surprised but feeling a warm rush going down my body at the sound of his voice. ‘what’s going on?’
he chuckles. ‘can’t you tell?’
i look around and see my arms taped up behind me on a chair and my legs tied together by... something. rope maybe?
‘where am i?’ i ask, even more bewildered.
‘tsk tsk tsk, silly (y/n)-himesama. i’ve kidnapped you, my dear.’ he said. ‘we’re in my mansion right now’
my eyes pop out of their sockets. am i hearing him right?
‘no,’ he corrects himself. ‘we’re in our mansion.’
i can’t help but blush at that suggestion. our mansion?
that’s right, i must be crazy, i think to myself. this is all just a dream, i’m still in school, on the bleachers with my bffs and i fell asleep in our class.
‘this isn’t a dream, darling’ he singsongs, and i feel more warmth flood downwards. god what is wrong with me? turned on in this situation? but can you blame me? who wouldn’t get turned on when the oikawa tooru-sama is standing in front (or behind) them and calling them ‘darling’?
‘w-what- h-h-how?’ i ask him. ‘i was just at school, staring at you play vball in the gym- i mean n-not staring at you- and-‘
he chuckles darkly.
‘i know you were, (y/n)-himesama. that’s why i kidnapped you, because you’re so cute.’
i blush at his words. m-me? cute??? did the oikawa tooru just call me cute?
i suddenly remember what rachelle and sunnie said in p.e. today about being kidnapped, and shudder. god, h-her mind! they’re totally gonna tell me i told you so! when i tell them.
‘b-but, h-how?’ i bit my lip looking at him beneath my lashes, or however anastasia steele did it in too many shades of grey. (it wasn’t actually that bad, but ill never admit it. it’s sorta kinda hot. also pantone says theres only like 37 diff shades so.)
‘i saw you with your friends, and i served a ball at your head knocking you out.’ he explained. suddenly i feel a pang on my head reinforcing what he’s saying.
‘ow...’ i say quietly.
the brunette man built like a god walks into my frame of vision for the first time after waking up and i notice he’s shirtless, all 8pack exposed for me to look at.
(i guess brianna was right, but she’s still a liar that wears green shoes with red socks.)
he comes up to me and kneels in front of me until he’s kneeling in front of me. he carresses my cheek with his hand (the same one he reached out to me earlier that day, pre-kidnapping) and i sigh.
if this is a dream never wake me up. i think to myself.
‘wh-‘ before i can get the words out asking him why me?, he presses a finger to my lips, shushing me.
he looks at me with his brown chocolate orbs, and i get lost in them, counting the stars and constellations in those glowing beautiful orbs that i never thought i could look at so up close. (except in photos i secretly took)
‘i love you, (y/n) (l/n)’ he says.
i fainted.

༻✧༺
i wake up (for the second time that day, god what is up with today?), my eyes still heavy.
‘good morning, darling,’ i hear a voice say, and suddenly i remember everything that’s transpired so far.
(for reference: i crashed into the oikawa tooru-sama this morning, had my phone taken away, and now kidnapped by none other than the oikawa tooru-sama, now in his- no, our mansion.)
‘o-oikawa tooru-sama?’ i stutter out weakly, still groggy.
‘just tooru, my hime-sama.’ he says and i feel my body heating up again.
suddenly, i’m filled with an overwhelming emotion, and the worlds spill out before i can stop them.
‘i love you, t-tooru.’ i stutter on the foreign name, biting my lips (for good measure).
he looks at me, chocolate orbs piercing right into my super dark black pupils, and he starts to cry. i cry too, because he just looks so beautiful, even when he’s crying.
he holds me in his arm and i nuzzle my nose into his neck, smelling his deep chocolatey velvety sweet minty musky scent. he smells so good i could just stay here forever, bathing in the chocolatey velvety sweet minty musk.
‘u-um...’ i start, and he nuzzles his face into my neck some more. i can feel his wet tears on my shoulder... is he still crying??
i try again. ‘u-ummmm...’
he finally looks up at me and i peer into his deep chocolate orbs, feeling him stare intently into my dark block orbs. i wiggle my arms to show him i want him to release them, because if you remember they’re still taped up by like, tape or rope or whatever.
‘o-oh!’ he exclaims and unties them.
i don’t know what came over me but suddenly we’re kissing, our tongues are battling for dominance within our hot wet cavernous mouths, and it’s soooo hot.
he grips my legs and spreads them apart, tongues still fighting a mighty battle, and i see him take out his big massive rock hard member in his hands.
i wrap my legs around him, thankful for the pink (bubblegum pink) and white checkered skirt im wearing today for easy access, and he pushes his hot shaft into my core. i can feel his member in my wet gushy wushy pussy and it feels so good i came.
he cums too.
‘w-will you marry me?’ he looks up at me, his member still inside. i feel tears brimming in my eyes again as I nod.
‘i do.’

Operation Miroh| Stray Kids Mafia! AU ~ Chapter 4
You stirred in your sleep. You felt a lingering pain in your shoulder from where you’ve been shot. You wince as you attempt to move your shoulder. You cracked open your eyes a bit...only to be eye to eye with another pair of eyes. You let out a loud shriek and Hyunjin stood up straight. The temple of his glasses were hanging from his lips. His lips were formed into a frown, his eyes were hooded and his eyebrows furrowed. You sighed as you rolled over on your back after seeing his face. His eyebrow quirked up as your pupils looked away. You can hear his voice in your head going, “Well?” You can hear, heck you can feel his disappointment. You were supposed to rest, yet you charged in head first into another mission AND getting injured to top it off.
Oh.
Woojin.
You felt Hyunjin’s disappointment, you can only imagine Woojin’s disappointment.
“Woojin!” You shot up. Pain flared up throughout your body as you collapse back down wincing as you reach for your injured shoulder.
You looked at him expectantly for an answer. Hyunjin still looked at you in disappointment.
“I know. I know. I’m sorry,” you sat up slowly as Hyunjin turned around and pulled out a syringe, his miracle anti pain and rapid healing concoction. Hyunjin can’t be bothered to actually lecture every single Stray Kids member whenever they get injured, so he waits until they awake due to the pain before relieving them of it in place of a lecture.
“Please, Jinnie. I’m so close,” you breathed out as Hyunjin glanced at you briefly before pulling back your bandages a bit to inject in his magic liquid into the bullet wound. Your shoulder tingled slightly as you watched the wound close slowly but surely. You reach up to caress your fingers down his jaw. “Please.”
He sighed as his gloved hand grasped your own. His black gloved fingers caress your smaller ones as he pressed a small kiss to your fingertips. He turns away and stood before his screens.
You slid off your cot and walked past him. You entered the long hallways as rush back to Chan’s office. You hesitated in front of a closed door. You turned to face it. Your heart was beating in your chest as your fingers trail over the grey painted wood. Woojin’s room.
~Voting Opportunity~ Do you want to talk to Woojin?
Reluctantly, you turned away and trotted down the hallway towards Chan’s room.
“CHAN!” you burst into his room, his door swung forward rapidly harshly coming into contact with the wall. From a few doors down, you could hear a soft chorus of groaning from Seungmin and Jisung.
Chan visibly flinched from your loud voice and harsh impact as he swung around in his chair to face you.
“Pleas-” you started.
“You don’t have to explain. Woojin already gave the briefing,” Chan interrupted, smiling softly in pity.
“W-wait. No. Channie...” you started, feeling your heart sink down in your chest as you fought back tears.
Chan looked up to you briefly, opening his mouth seeing your tears.
“I need to go back,” you breathed out. “I was so close.”
“I don’t think-”
“No. We’re close I know it. The people. They aren’t being kidnapped. The bakery-”
“You didn’t find anything,” Chan reminded.
“Exactly. They aren’t being taken, they left willingly,” you explained.
“You’re grasping,” Chan turned away slouching back over his laptop.
“Chris,” Chan flinched upon hearing his English name. “The baker was last seen in her bakery. She’s gone without a trace, but no sign of a struggle.”
“...”
“No signs of a runaway,” you finished, hoping Chan would connect the dots.
“Tonight, please. Let me go back,”
“In the morning, when the weather is nice,” Chan gave in.
“Thank you,” you rushed forward wrapping your arms around his shoulders, pulling his back into your chest. You nestled your cheek into his blond curls. “Thank you. I won’t let you down.”
Chan gripped your hand softly.
~
You walked out, closing the door to Chan’s room quietly behind you. You jumped once you saw Jisung who magically appeared in the hallway before you. He was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed and a smug look on his face.
“You should’ve picked me,” Jisung stated.
You scoffed, looking down to the floor in defeat. Jisung strolled over to you and pulled you into his embrace. You leaned your head into his shoulder. He swayed you side to side softly and he ran his fingers through your scalp.
“Tell me what you’ve found,” Jisung whispered. “Tell me, baby.”
You shoved him back causing him to collide with the wall. He chuckled softly at your reaction.
“Come on, we’ll check out District 9. Maybe, just maybe someone will show up,” Jisung offered.
The sun was barely setting. The night sky slowly took over the brilliant oranges and red. District 9 was a shady place. It’s cold, dark and lonely, but hey, it’s home. Without the knowledge of District 9 and its location and existence, this little patch of territory looked to be abandoned littered with several destroyed and worn down buildings at first glance.
Jisung was donning his signature white porcelain squirrel mask. In a squirrel like fashion, he climbed up the broken and worn walls. Like a squirrel, he walked on his hands and feet. One hand after another, one foot after another. As ridiculous as it looks, it works as a taunt and Jisung is exceptionally great at taunting and pushing buttons.
District 9 held several hidden secrets, not even you know every single one. You doubted even any of the Stray Kids members knew of them all. Perhaps Chan, but his mind was a mystery of its own. Was a building a safe house, a secret base, a storage or just plain up an abandoned and destroyed building?? There used to be so much light in this area, so much chatter and voices. But now, there are so many voices that would no longer make a sound. Not even the sounds of buildings settling can penetrate through the dense silence.
Something about the air felt heavy, so little activity, but it feels like so much activity. The paranormal doesn’t exist, just lingering memories of the life before, before everything fell apart. We were going backwards in time. The world used to be industrious, making huge human innovations, leaving their marks in history. Now the world has collapsed back to the days where electricity were but a dream. Electricity became a luxury where not even the rich can afford, the people lived under candle light and heated water.
Money was worth so much yet so little. In the mafia and gang underground, money was power. However, in the over world with the people, money was a rarity.
You casually strolled down the wide open streets, the sounds of your boots seemed to echo loudly against brick street. There was hardly a breeze, but memories of the previous life seemed to echo in your ears, you can almost hear the breeze and the soft night time chatter. In the corner of your eye, you see Jisung jumping from roof to roof, rubble to rubble in an animalistic fashion, he was always on all fours. A squirrel of all animals, you never thought of the small furry animal to be terrifying or animalistic. After all, Woojin was known in the underground as the bear, a bear.
A squirrel. You scoffed.
You watched Jisung take a bigger bite than he could chew. He attempted a leap that looked wayyy too far to a building diagonally from him. He landed on the weak rubble of a wall on his hands with the wall breaking under his feet. His feet scrambled on the weak surface trying to find purchase as his metal claws dug into the brick wall as he slowed to a stop. You watched him pull himself up until he was crouched upon the ledge with his back towards you.
Jisung had requested (rather threatened) Hyunjin to fashion him some metal claws to finish off his squirrel aesthetic. To which Hyunjin agreed just to dump the workload onto Seungmin, bless his soul, for he almost broke Hyunjin’s nose for dumping it on him and then proceeded to almost breaking Jisung’s nose because of the stupid request (but Chan interfered). (No) thanks to Hyunjin, Seungmin had specifically designed and engineered metal claws that acted like an extension of Jisung’s fingers. The metal rings surround each individual finger snuggly but without cutting off blood circulation or limiting mobility as it ends into a slight curvature. Because of this accessory, Jisung was able to climb surfaces as well as an actual squirrel can.
You almost mocked him for the over glorified metal manicure to get a matching pedicure because climbing is more than just fingertips, you need feet purchases as well to Hyunjin and Seungmin’s dismay. If looks could kill, you would be dead long ago. Heaven forbid, Hyunjin and Seungmin to work with Jisung’s feet to fashion the little shit metal claws for his toes.
You ducked into said abandoned building and knocked twice on the wall. You paused momentarily and knocked once. Two knocks echoed back in response. There were people within the hidden safe house, but no one new. There was an unspoken rule that the people that Stray Kids safe guarded follow. Once Stray Kids knocks, you always answer. If there was any newcomers, they were to emerge with the acting leader of that particular safehouse. Other than that, the people should never emerge because even though District 9 was Stray Kids territory, the abandoned buildings hid many dangers. The dangers include traps by Stray Kids, traps by the enemy, or the enemies themselves. You looked up at the wall, you see the shadow of Jisung’s crouched figure illuminated by the moonlight.
You smirked.
“I know what happened.”
“Explain please,” Jisung’s voice broke through the silence.
“Tomorrow.”
Jisung groaned.

“Why are you nervous anyways, Jisung?” Kyunghee chuckled as she let Jisung into her apartment. It was finally the day of the party and Jisung looked rather clean in his swept up hair and his black tuxedo. Jisung took a seat on her sofa without saying anything.
“Because this is the first ever elite party I’m invited to? And I’m not supposed to embarrassed Felix in anyways,” he replied in a mumble before he let out an inner scream.
Kyunghee rolled her eyes and hit the top of Jisung’s head. “Don’t worry about anything, Han Jisung,” she said. “You’re Han Jisung, what can’t you get over?”
“Apparently, this party right now,” Jisung replied and this earned a sigh from the latter.
“Well, I can’t help you anymore, you’re on your own until I get ready… which would take about an hour. Good luck waiting!” Kyunghee grinned and disappeared into her room.
As Kyunghee closed her door, her hand could not leave the doorknob. Was it the correct thing to do? To leave the house to the party? To be frankly honest, Kyunghee had rarely left the house at all. She would usually called in sick for the couple of days now and she would only get out of the house to the supermarket five minutes away from her apartment. Yes, she was scared- but not at Hyunjin, at the possibility of someone else attacking her out of nowhere. She quickly distracted her mind with something else and got dressed immediately. As she was ready to head out of her room, she heard the doorbell ringing.
“Kyunghee? There’s someone at the door and I’m not sure if you know him but he insist that you do and… he’s pretty charming,” Jisung shouted.
Kyunghee paused. “W-who… what does he look like?” Kyunghee asked. She could feel her heart beating incredibly fast now.
“A man about…. 170cm tall, he has really nice blonde hair and he has a slit across one of his eyebr-“ That was all Kyunghee heard before she realised who it was. Bang Chan, she thought. What was he doing here in broad daylight?
She quickly exited the room and walked straight to the door. She swung the door open and glared at the taller man in fury. “What are you doing here?” She gritted her teeth, still glaring at the man in front of her.
“I came to warn you,” Chan replied in a small voice as well.
“Who is that?” Jisung’s voice appeared.
“O-oh, that’s my… that’s my uncle!” Kyunghee replied, earning an eyebrow in doubt. “Well, he came to get some- oh! Is that a parcel for me? Oh god, the company must’ve delivered the parcel to the wrong address… AGAIN!” She chuckled and pulled Chan into the house. She glanced at Jisung and laughed again.
Jisung continued to stare unsurely at her. She cursed at herself, why was her acting so bad?
“Oh yeah, you did left this parcel in my house again,” Chan joined in. “I guess some thing never change.”
“Y-yeah,” Kyunghee laughed. “Well, since you’re here, why don’t we talk more in my room? I think I got a new hairdryer and I’m not sure how to work it out.” Kyunghee grabbed Chan’s wrist and pulled him into her room, locking the door behind her. The fake smile melted from her face immediately.
“Before you asked me why I came here, I can explain,” Chan replied quietly.
“Don’t. What’s with this sudden visit? Didn’t I requested to stay away from ALL of you?” Kyunghee asked. She could feel her ears ringing now as her heart rate speeded up.
“Your father is worried,” Chan continued calmly. “He asked me to deliver this package to you just in case… like for tonight.” Bang Chan handed the carefully wrapped cardboard parcel in his hands to the girl but she refused to take it.
“How the hell do you even know where I’m going anyways- are you keeping tabs on me?” Kyunghee asked, a sudden purge of anger sprouted out. “What is that even? A-are you expecting me to what? Blow up a fucking building with one button?”
“No…” Chan said quietly. He swiftly unwrapped the parcel and pulled out a small ring box. He opened the box to revealed a small diamond, the cuts were really define and Kyunghee could swore her jaw dropped but she quickly closed them back. “This is an emergency button. Just press the diamond and we’ll be there.”
“Why do I need it?” Kyunghee scowled. “I’m just going to a party-“
“An elite party, Ms Lee Young,” Chan corrected and this forced Kyunghee to rolled her eyes.
“Haven’t I clarified that already? I’m not Lee Young and you’re definitely not a servant under me,” Kyunghee said softly.
“Please, take it, just for your safety. Your dad will at least have some comfort,” Chan pleaded.
“And how fast would you be there?” Kyunghee raised her eyebrow, taking the box from Chan’s hand.
Chan grinned, “Just in time to get you out of a bunch of unconscious bodies.” And then he pointed at her heels. “You should hide your knife somewhere else.”
Kyunghee looked down at her black heels to see the tip of a silver blade poking out and she quickly removed it to hide somewhere else.
“What happened to just going to somewhere that’s ‘just a party’?” Chan asked with a laugh and earned an eye roll from Kyunghee.
-
The party was bigger than what Jisung had said. As Kyunghee gave a good look at the rooftop where the party was held, she could not help but feel as if she was not meant to be there in the first place.
“Come on!” Jisung brought her back to reality. “If we continue standing here, the party’s gonna be over before we even stepped into it.” He chuckled as he pulled the girl along with him.
It was crazy. The party was in full swing mode. Everyone was either holding a drink in their hands, dancing within crowds or both. Kyunghee tried to breathe as she slides through sweaty bodies of the drunk dancers. The lights were flashing like crazy in different colours and the music was blared out so loudly she could feel the vibration through the ground. But that did not stop her from moving away from the crowd when Jisung grabbed her wrist, pulling her to his side.
Jisung had a smile on his face when he finally stopped at the bar. He leaned against the tall table and looked at Kyunghee, the smile still plastered on his face. “Is this not amazing?” He asked. Kyunghee could see the beads of sweat lining up on his forehead. It had just been a couple of minutes since they entered the party and he was already sweating.
“Did you had a drink before we came in?” Kyunghee raised her eyebrows.
“Maybe…” he drifted off. “Maybe two during the transaction of dragging you from the entrance to this bar over here. Hey, bartender! Give us your signature!” He waved at the bartender behind the table who gave a nod of acknowledge before proceeding back to his station to prepare the drinks.
“How did you even managed to get the drinks and swallow them in like what? A minute? Han Jisung, you’re impossible! I knew you shouldn’t have come here in the first place because I know the next moment as soon as I’m out of your sight, you will already be at the dance floor consuming more alcohol.” Kyunghee paused and closed her eyes briefly, letting a sigh before facing her best friend again- to only find him not by her side anymore. “J-Jisung?” She called out, now searching throughout the crowd.
She knew it. She should’ve known about it. God, he was gone and she had to find him now.
-
Hyunjin loosen his tie and looked back at the person staring back at him. He frowned as he stared at the tie again, trying to make sure it stayed perfectly on his neck without strangling him or what not. Why was he even doing this to begin with? He had a mission and he had to do it but did it required dressing up?
“You look… uncomfortable,” someone commented at Hyunjin’s appearance. Hyunjin glanced at the mirror to look at the intruder whom had his entire weigh leaning against the door frame. “Do you even know how to tie a tie, Hyunjin?”
Hyunjin sighed and rolled his eyes. “Is wearing this… this attire necessary for the mission, Jeongin?” Hyunjin asked back, now focusing back on the tie. “I’m just going into the party to kill Lee Young. What’s so hard about it?”
“I got you the ticket to the party and that meant you have to dress for the occasion Do you want people to be looking at you oddly or even throw you out of it?” Jeongin raised his eyebrow, now making his way towards the taller boy. He stood in front of the boy and started untangling the tie in his hands. “Let me help the helpless you.”
“I can always fight back, you know,” Hyunjin muttered.
Jeongin chuckled. “You’re impossible. You only have one solution to everything and that’s fighting. What if the opponent is stronger, taller, heavier than you? What are you going to do? Fight back?”
“Why not?” Hyunjin replied and gasped when Jeongin tightened the tie around the latter’s neck before loosening it up again.
“Sometimes, you gotta use your brain, Hyunjin. Fighting can’t always be the solution to everything,” Jeongin sighed and took a step back as soon as he was done. He examined the boy’s appearance before standing aside so Hyunjin could look at himself too. “There, you look a lot better now.”
“Thanks,” the taller boy gave Jeongin a small smile. He took one last glance before walking towards a table next to the mirror, grabbing his knife and gun. “Because of you, I can say I’m all ready to fight and face my mission.” He smiled at the younger boy and started walking out of the room.
“And Hyunjin, one more thing,” Jeongin’s voice stopped Hyunjin.
“Yeah?”
“Come back in one piece,” Jeongin said.
Hyunjin smiled softly. “I will. I can promise you that.”
-
“Felix! Have you seen Jisung anywhere? I can’t seem to find his drunk ass,” Kyunghee walked up to another boy about the same age as her, tapping on his shoulder to grab his attention as she spoke. The orange-haired boy glanced around to see Kyunghee, a tipsy smile rose up his lips.
“Hey there Kyunghee!” Felix replied with a wink before swinging his left arm around her shoulders. “I’m so glad you’re able to make it to the party! Do you want another drink?” He asked, handing her the drink he had been holding.
“No thanks, I’m good,” Kyunghee politely rejected the drink from his hand. “I’m only here looking for Jisung.”
“Why worry about Jisung? He’s probably having a good time now! Not to worry, mate! I’m sure he would love it if you could just relax these tense shoulders and just loosen up! That’s what a party is about right?” Felix rolled his eyes. A giggle escaped his lips.
“That’s fine. I’m already having… a pretty… g-great time at the party! No more alcoholic or sugary substances in my body,” Kyunghee tried to smile. It was a bad idea coming to Felix. Not only did he stall her time looking for her drunk best friend, Jisung was probably out there having his sixth or seventh drink. She did not know what he would do if he had gotten a little more drunker and she needed to make sure he did not make any bad decisions both he and she know he would regret over. She quietly slipped past Felix who finally found someone else to talk to and continued searching again.
The party had the indoors and outdoors. So far, she had scanned through the crowded indoor’s first floor. She spotted the stairs heading to the second floor and quickly climbed up the stairs. Every step she took, she could hear the heavy music fading off little by little and as soon as she reached the floor of the second floor, the music was pretty much muffled.
Kyunghee glanced at the second floor. It was a lot quieter compared to the first floor. There were no one in the dimly lit hallways but she could hear a lot of muffled talking, groans and vomiting noises through the walls. There were definitely people in the rooms and it was going to be her duty to search through every single one of them until she finds Han Jisung.
-
Hyunjin was flashing a glittery gold card at the bouncer without sparing a second glance at the buff man as he made his way into the party. The music was loud, the lights were blinding and it hurt Hyunjin a little but he pretended it did not bothered him at all. He was actually a little amazed at how well the party was going. There were people at the dance floor, sticking to other sticky bodies or drinking shots after shots.
He made his rounds around the indoors, before moving on to the outdoors. He wanted to have fun, he wanted to drink all his worries away, he wanted to forget but he couldn’t. He had a mission to carry out and he needed to finish it unless he wanted his life to be at a risk.
He walked outdoors and searched around the perimeter but found nothing at all, no clue or no trace of where his target was. He sighed. Did she not come to the party at all? He thought. She couldn’t have not come because her best friend practically beg her to come. But the more he had thought about it, the higher the possibility of her not appearing since he knew she was a homebody. He let out a sigh once again before heading back inside… did… did he failed his assignment once again?
Well, not quite. A hint of red passed his sight. He followed the girl with his eyes- she had the same straight long black hair, the same walk as his target, until she disappeared from his sight, walking upstairs to the second floor now.
His feet immediately took off, dodging effectively amongst the crowd and before anyone knew it, he was just hot on her trail. He quietly took out a knife from his belt, watching her every step, following her every movement as she scanned through hallways, opening every door to search for something… something Hyunjin was still unable to identify. He was watching her until she reached the last door, shouting something he couldn’t make out before a frown formed on her face and then she disappeared through the doors.
It was time for him to make the first move. He paced towards the room she had entered but was not able to make it that far when he sensed other movements around him. Scattered, but moving quickly and all in the same directions.
He saw men. Unfamiliar men walking straight towards the room and they did not look nice at all. They were holding knifes and daggers and that was when Hyunjin realised, they were all trying to kill his target: Lee Young. Without a second thought, his feet leaped and dashed straight towards the men.
-
“Jisung there you are!” Kyunghee let out a sigh as she walked towards the unconscious boy laying on the bed in the centre of the room. He was muttering some undeciphered language. She walked up to his side and started shaking him. “How much did you even drink? Should we head back to my apartment? Can you even walk?”
Kyunghee attempted to pull Jisung up but he let out a groan instead and rolled back into the bed. Kyunghee let out a huge sigh as she stared at her best friend, not knowing what else to do now.
Instead, after a couple minutes of pondering, she slipped his shoes off his feet and tucked him neatly into the random bed. “Let’s… let’s just keep you in here for a while until you’re sober enough to even stand with your both feet,” Kyunghee sighed. It was a bad idea to leave Jisung alone in the party and look what it got him into.
She rotated her shoulders and relaxed her tense muscles before heading out. She glanced slightly at the boy sound asleep behind her before opening the door- to only be pointed by a knife… and a couple of men in black uniforms.
-
Hyunjin was rushing towards the room now, but he was too late to reach her. As soon as the men gathered around the door, the door just had to open and there she stood. The breathtaking girl he was supposed to assassinate. What was he going to do now? Was he going to let them kill her? He should because that was his task and now his task was easier. But who the hell were they? They looked nothing like the people he had seen in his gang. Were the more gangs targeting the same girl? Probably but that was not what he was supposed to worry about.
He glanced at her blank face. He should really let her get killed. He really should- but he couldn’t. He remembered the short amount of days they had spent together, how relaxed and comfortable he had felt- No. He cannot let her get killed- not by them at least.
Hyunjin gripped on the knife he was holding tighter and dashed towards the men. He jumped and kicked one member in the face, forcing him to tipped forward, now disrupting the rest of the men’s attention. Before the men even realised what was going on, Hyunjin stabbed his knife into the chest of another man closest to him. The man dropped dead in front of him even before he managed to see Hyunjin.
Hyunjin didn’t know why he was doing this but he knew it was necessary.
-
The men went down quickly as soon as Hyunjin appeared in Kyunghee’s sight. The way he moved was so graceful Kyunghee was in awe at how skilled he was as he continued to fight. But why was he fighting? Was he fighting for her? Was he not her enemy? Kyunghee’s eyes followed Hyunjin for a moment. His movement were so fluid, how he dodged elegantly when someone came at him- he was the definition of perfect, so perfect he looked like he was controlled by the greatest, God.
But Kyunghee immediately had to stop daydreaming when a couple of men focus on her now. They started charging right at her as she backed up slowly, hitting the end of the bed frame where Jisung was laying peacefully. Her heart was thumping fast now, accelerating every second as the men advanced her, until she realised she had the ring- and a knife.
She swiftly pressed the small button on the ring before removing the knife hidden in one of the folds of the dress. She threw the first knife right at the first man that was advancing quicker towards her. The sharp dagger flew in the air before digging deep in the man’s chest. His shirt soaked in crimson red quickly before he dropped dead on the floor.
Kyunghee produced two more knives from her dress and threw it at the two remaining men running towards her and just like her first throw, it landed perfectly in the centre of the men’s chest, killing them instantly. She was breathing really heavily as she rushed outside where the battlefield was still occurring.
There were still five more remaining men outside and they were all fighting against one man, and that was Hwang Hyunjin. He was preoccupied but the way he handled the situation was the definition of textbook perfect. He kicked the first man in the gut and that sent him flying towards the wall, knocking his head right onto the wall- he slammed his fist into the second man’s jaw and she could see blood spilling out of his mouth.
She took no time at all and rushed towards the men, while producing another knife from her heel. She jumped up and slammed the knife. The knife dug deep into the back of the third man and he was already down now. And when that was done, she landed a kick at the fourth man running towards her now and he ended on the floor.  Her heel stepped on his neck and she could hear a splatter of blood bursting from the hole made by the sharp heel.
Kyunghee turned around just in time to see Hyunjin bursting a punch at the last man and they were all down- but that still did not mean Kyunghee was safe.
She glanced quietly at the remaining man still standing now who was also now looking at her. A stoned face greeted her. “H-Hyunjin…” she whispered. “Why are you back?”
“I had a mission, and it is to kill you,” he replied with absolutely no emotions in his voice. “I can’t complete the mission at all without completing my only task.” He pointed a knife straight at Kyunghee’s direction.
“They’re coming,” Kyunghee replied quietly. “My father’s men… they’re coming now.”
Hyunjin could only chuckled. “And what does that mean? They’re only going to find your dead body?”
“Or they are going to kill you if I took you down,” Kyunghee answered and walked up to Hyunjin really slowly. “T-to… to be honest, I-I- I don’t w-want you to die.”
‘If… if you kill me?” Hyunjin ignored whatever Kyunghee said at this point. “What’s with the sudden lost in confidence? Are you afraid of me? And even if I do leave, you will still get killed, Lee Young. Your father has made many great enemies and they wouldn’t hesitate to damage your father especially if it means to kill you.”
Kyunghee was now in front of Hyunjin. She grabbed his wrist immediately, still not saying anything. Even when Hyunjin was an inch closer to kill her, she did not flinch. “That’s why I’m asking you to go, run. They will still find you even if I get killed. They would make sure my death is avenged.”
“Then what about you?” Hyunjin asked quietly. His face had finally softened up just a little. He couldn’t help it. She never deserved to die and Hyunjin knew everyone had the right to live no matter what crime they committed, what sin they had made- well, except for the ten assassinators that were up to killing Lee Young. “I- I can’t leave you, Lee Young. C-come with me!”
“My father’s men are coming. I’ll be safe,” she replied quietly.
“Not when we’re here first,” a voice interrupted the two of them and they found more men walking in, bigger men with larger weapons.
“Now’s not the time to argue with me, Lee Young,” Hyunjin whispered into Kyunghee’s ear, grabbing her wrist tighter now. “Run!” He urged her as he took off running towards the other end of the hallway that was vacant.
Kyunghee started running, gripping tighter as Hyunjin pulled her away. She wanted to press on the ring again but it was too late when they turned a corner and Kyunghee smashed the precious diamond onto the corner wall and it ended up shattered to bits. No help was going to come anymore it seems.
-
Hyunjin thought he was crazy. He had to be. Because why the hell would he even bring his target somewhere to safety? Well, it was too late since he had brought her into his car and drove off into the late night. He accelerated, trying to get rid of their trail by the opposing gang and it only took him ten minutes before he could drive normally now. The car ride was silent after that. With only Lee Young’s heavy breathing, Hyunjin started to wonder why he did what he had done.
“Where are you taking me?” Kyunghee asked quietly.
“Somewhere sacred so I can kill you,” Hyunjin replied emotionlessly again and this earned an eye roll from the latter. “Somewhere safe, like a hideout.”
“Why can’t you just bring me home?” Kyunghee asked quietly. “I mean I think the coast is clear… who were they actually?”
“I’m not sure,” Hyunjin answered, fixing his attention on the road. “But whoever they are, they clearly had raided your apartment by now and are trying their best to find you.”
“And why did you not kill me instead? To be exact, why did you save me at the party? And why are you still saving me now?” Kyunghee raised her eyebrow.
“You have a lot of questions, Lee Young. And I thought you were smarter than you look, since you’re Lee Hwakmin’s daughter. Guess I overestimated someone,” Hyunjin sighed. “And I’m not going to answer any of them.”
“Wow, amazing,” Kyunghee rolled her eyes. “Well… then just tell me where we’re going at least.”
And that was when Hyunjin stopped his car at the side of the road, looking out at the window of his car at the building they had stopped at. It was a worn out hotel, an inhabited place for about a decade old.
“Here,” he replied and got off the car.
-
“What is this place?” Kyunghee asked, examining around. They were in the lobby of the entire building and it was extremely old. The furnitures were half broken and were covered in a thin layer of fine dust.
“Hideout,” was all Hyunjin said before he made his way towards the reception area and walked behind it, and entered a door. Kyunghee followed closely as the two of them entered.
This time, it was a hallway. A dark hallway but it was a lot cleaner compared to the rest of the hotel. Kyunghee kept quiet the entire time until they made their way to a door where Hyunjin swiftly and quietly pressed the password on the keypad hidden within the walls. The door clicked opened and Hyunjin walked into the room. Kyunghee hesitated but realised she didn’t really actually have another choice so she walked in as well.
The room looked nothing like the rest of the rundown hotel. The walls were coloured in crisped looking black paint, one of the wall were blinking with multiple colours from the computers running. The other walls had couches and shelves stuck next to them. It looked exactly like a hacker’s hideout.
“Hyunjin, you’re back earlier than expected-“ A voice greeted as soon as the door opened. Hyunjin stepped aside, revealing a rather scattered looking boy, with big round rimmed glasses. The boy stopped smiling when he saw the girl. “Is that not your target?”
Hyunjin bit his lips. “I-We were under attack,” Hyunjin said. “And she didn’t have anywhere else to go and I can’t risk her getting-“
“Well isn’t that your mission? To assassinate her?” The boy asked back.
“Jeongin, it’s not what you think of,” Hyunjin cut in.
“Yeah, no shit, Hwang Hyunjin. You want to get killed instead by our boss it seems,” Jeongin spitted. “And you had to go through all this trouble… f-for nothing?”
“Je-“
“Save it,” Jeongin replied.
“L-look, it’s my fault. I-I shouldn’t have come here in the first place, I’m sorry,” Kyunghee whispered, breaking the tension between the two boys. “I-I should go.”
Hyunjin glanced from Jeongin to Kyunghee immediately, rushing over to the girl before grabbing her wrist. “Where else can you go, Lee Young? You will get killed the minute you walk out of here.”
Kyunghee glanced at Jeongin briefly and then back at Hyunjin. “Anywhere not here. He doesn’t want me here and stop forcing him to agree to let me stay… please, Hyunjin.” Kyunghee tugged her hand away from the boy and it slipped away effortlessly.
“Fine. Stay,” Jeongin cut in. Kyunghee twisted to look into the younger boy’s face with a sad smile.
“I don’t need your sympathy,” she said.
“I owe Hyunjin anyways,” Jeongin sighed, walking off to the couch. He plopped down and started playing his phone, ignoring the two of them once again.
“You heard him, Lee Young. Stay… at least for now,” Hyunjin whispered.
“For how long?” Kyunghee walked towards Hyunjin. She folded her arms and her expression changed immediately. Hyunjin could see the worries in her eyes. “I can’t go in hiding anymore- actually, I can’t live a normal life anymore! Ever since you stepped into my life, nothing’s right! And I’m not even sure I would be safe here or not. You still have your mission to kill me.”
“A-at least until this entire thing is over,” Hyunjin replied softly. “I-I don’t want to kill you, Lee Young.”
“Then what do you want to do? Get yourself killed because you’re not killing me?” She scoffed, now drifting away from the latter “Smart choice, Sherlock.”
Hyunjin bit his lips. He watched her walking away from him, refusing to look into his eyes. What else could he even do now? He did not know.
“I don’t know…” he muttered. “I… I… I-“ He let out an angry scream and exited the room with a slam, disappearing through the hallways.
-
“Great job, Lee Young,” Jeongin’s voice was heard from behind the girl. Kyunghee glanced behind her, to only find the younger boy still having his gaze fixated on his phone. “I have never seen a girl pissed off Hyunjin this much before.”
“I did nothing, hacker boy,” Kyunghee rolled her eyes. “He stormed out on his own will. I didn’t even say the words ‘Get out’.”
“I have a name, mafia’s daughter. But you can call me I.N instead since you’re definitely someone not I would like to welcome into my territory,” Jeongin sat up from the couch and tossed his phone to the side.
“Why does he even care at all?” Kyunghee asked. “I’m nothing except a target to him.”
“And this is my first time seeing him care so much,” Jeongin nodded. “But that’s the entire point. He cares about you… and to be honest, I’ve never seen him care so much about anyone, be it a boy or a girl… well, except for me, obviously.”
Kyunghee scoffed. “So you’re saying you’re like what? His pet?”
“Rude, mafia’s daughter,” Jeongin replied annoyed. “Well, I don’t know but you better make up with him otherwise he might have second thoughts and he might really kill you then,” Jeongin shrugged and walked over to his computers.
Kyunghee thought for a moment. All Hyunjin had ever did at all was protect her- even though he did tried to kill her, but he never wanted to hurt her at all. “Hey, hacker boy?” The words from Kyunghee’s lips flowed out. A hint of smile tugged against her lips. “Maybe you’re right. I should go after him now.”
“Obviously, I’m right,” Jeongin replied without looking at her. “But you can’t get to him anymore. He left.”
“Are you serious? What kind of cool down does a guy like him need?” Kyunghee sighed and slumped down onto the couch where Jeongin had sat on a couple of moments ago. “And… do you have anything I can do?”
“He’s a very sensitive person, mafia’s daughter,” Jeongin said. “He opened up more than enough to you already, so be grateful. And no, fiddle around with your p-no, give me your phone.”
“Could’ve asked nicer, hacker boy,” Kyunghee sighed and slipped her hand into her empty purse. “Wait. Where’s my phone?”
-
The cold breeze blew past Hyunjin’s face gently as Hyunjin observed the busy city from above, dangling his legs on the rooftop of one of the buildings. Cars roaming back and forth, lights from windows frequently blinking. It was just like any other nights Hyunjin had spent whenever he needed to cool down. It helped most of the times, but tonight was definitely not one of them.
He was holding Kyunghee’s phone between his fingers, fiddling as he flipped the phone a couple of times. He was anxious and he knew he should calm down, because tonight was different. The phone in his hand flashed multiple times, with notification from someone he didn’t even care for. He quietly shut the phone off  as he stared into the dark skies. He was not alone at the rooftop anymore. He was waiting for someone.
“Hope I’m not late. Ugh, the hangover is worse and longer than I expected,” a familiar voice to Hyunjin said, breaking Hyunjin from his thoughts.
Hyunjin chuckled a little, staring at the bright full moon that hung in the dark skies. “I’m used to you being late by now. You haven’t changed at all huh?”
The newcomer chuckled as well and took a seat next to Hyunjin, admiring the late night skies as well. Silence hung between the two boys.
It took Hyunjin only two minutes to break the short silence. “Guess you finally realised what happened at the party for you to arrive this late. Huh, Felix?”
“First of all, it’s my party and second of all, I had to tend to all the guests,” the second boy explained. Hyunjin tilted his head to get a better look at his companion. He looked almost the same as the last time he had seen Felix. Just that… he grew taller by a bit, his voice had gotten a lot deeper and he had matured. Felix sighed. “I just hope Jisung doesn’t wake up to find me missing… again.”
Hyunjin snorted by accident at the comment. “Will he ever wonder where you got all your money?”
“Hush little one, he need not know anything that doesn’t concern him at all,” Felix winked.
“I’m just glad you didn’t kill Lee Young once you recognised her at the party. I mean, look at what our boss did, make Lee Young the centre of attention for all to see and feast on!” Hyunjin sighed.
“It’s not my job to do so, Hyunjin. It’s yours and I knew she was important to you because where would she be if not dead on my party’s floor?” Felix raised his eyebrow.
“Y-you know?” Hyunjin stuttered.
Felix raised his eyebrows. “For the best hitman in our gang, you’re pretty dim-witted, Hwang Hyunjin. You’re too kind for your own good and she taught you something. I could see it in your eyes when you zoomed past me, completely ignoring me, as you chased after her upstairs!” He paused. “And actually, I was the one that brought Jisung to the bedroom so upstairs was basically quiet and you could’ve just killed her just there, but instead, you gave me bloody bodies my cousin has to wake up to once his hangover is over or once the pungent smell wakes him up… Poor Jisung.”
“Thanks for preparing everything for me to fail my assassination.” He chuckled. “Talking about dead bodies, do you know anybody that would want Lee Young dead as well?”
“That… that would also have to do with me,” Felix confessed. “Boss knew something was wrong and called me to prepare backup at the party since you were taking forever to kill someone who was not under great security… but at least you didn’t get killed at the party!”
“Yeah, that would definitely give me peace and quiet,” Hyunjin scoffed. “But now for the big question, what the hell am I supposed to do now?”
“What do you mean?”
“To be honest, it’s my last day to complete the mission. After today, I might as well be a dead man,” Hyunjin chuckled humourlessly. “You’re probably going to be the last one to see me after tonight, so tell Jeongin to take care of himself… because I’m no longer about to…”
“Hyunjin, must you be that dramatic?” Felix raised his eyebrows.
“What else am I supposed to do now? There’s nothing I can do except to accept my death right here, right now,” Hyunjin groaned. “Why are you making my death so hard?”
“Because you can have a second chance,” Felix replied slowly. “I can book you a private jet, Jeongin can get you fake passports and you can take off anywhere in this world. Forget about this entire mafia life, forget about bad choices you had made, start over.”
“And leave all of you here?” Hyunjin asked. “Because if that’s what you want me to do, I’m not going to. And also, what about Lee Young? Am I going to leave her alone in Jeongin’s hideout? It’s only about time before she gets found and killed as well.”
“Does she not have any protection? Well, she is a part of a gang as well,” Felix asked.
“Her dad is, she’s not,” Hyunjin corrected. “She wants nothing to do w-“
His sentence was cut short when Felix’s cell started to ring. Hyunjin gave a tired smile at Felix before the boy answered the phone.
“Hello?” Felix asked into the phone and then he stayed silent for a couple of minutes, only nodding his head  until the person ended the call then he said, “Alright sir, will do.”
“What does he want?” Hyunjin asked, glancing across the city now. “Did he assigned you to assassinate me now?”
“He asked me to send in backups. Boss is doing a search for your target and I think they’re heading over to everyone’s personal hideout,” Felix explained and this caused Hyunjin to jumped up from his spot.
“They what?” Hyunjin cut in. “T-they can’t! H-how long do they have until they arrived?”
Felix glanced at his watch. “About five minutes at most. Why?”
Hyunjin started running now. He had to reach there before his boss did. He ignored Felix’s yells towards him as he continued to run and run. His heart was beating intensely now. Please… please let her be okay… Was the only thing he prayed for as he continued to run the endless race.
-
Hyunjin’s body crashed against the locked door as he hurriedly pushed the buttons on the keypad to unlock the door to Jeongin’s hideout. Felix was just hot on Hyunjin’s heels before the door finally opened.
“Lee Young!” Hyunjin shouted breathless. “Are you-“ He scanned across the room and found no presence of the girl.
“She’s gone,” Jeongin’s soft voice answered instead. He walked up to Hyunjin’s sight, a dull expression hovered his face.
“W-what, it’s impossible! I told her to stay!” Hyunjin stuttered.
Jeongin shook his head. “I did… I really did tried to ask her to remain but she wouldn’t listen. I’m sorry Hyunjin, I couldn’t stop her from walking out of the door.”

WHY DO I BOTHER? (Chapter 1)
Kia Weon is a newly born idol, fresh from debut, and she hates her image. Her debut didn’t do too well so now Pledis have decided that she will be the one to provide vocals for Seventeen’s newest song ‘Q&A’ and in the process she makes 12 new friends but one enemy. A relationship becomes a thing that happens and a huge change in her career puts friendships on the line.
Word count: 3,141 words
Warnings: None
A random (and probably boring) thing I’ve started working onnn, not super sure where this is gonna go but hey, it’s a work in progress so feel free to suggest things.
Tumblr media
I quickly scanned my appearance over in the full-length mirror outside the door to the recording studio once more to make sure that I looked presentable. My thin black oversized Monsta X long sleeved shirt with Changkyun’s stage name and birth year on the back of it hung loosely from my small, short frame and stopped at mid-thigh and was paired with a pair of short black bicycle shorts that were hidden under the shirt to prevent accidental flashing, worn black combat boots and one of Hoseok’s long leather chokers wrapped around my neck; the dark clothing contrasted pleasingly with my bright violet hair and my pale, makeup-less face was half hidden by a black cotton mask.
“Okay Kia, you can do this.” I breathed before walking quietly in to the studio, a smile forced on to my lips as I nervously walked in to the room despite nobody being able to see it.
The room was tiny, a small sofa was stuffed in to one corner of the room and a desk with a few monitors, medium sized white speakers and other complicated looking studio equipment was pressed against the recording booth wall about a step away from the sofa. Perched stiffly in the chair in front of the desk was a guy with a blonde undercut hairstyle and, like my own, his hands were tucked in to the cuffs of a black oversized hoodie to form sweater paws while black skinny jeans that had been rolled up at the ankles hugged his legs, complimenting his thin build. A pair of large rounded glasses were perched upon his nose and shielded his eyes that were slightly turned upwards at the ends due to his inviting polite smile, he nervously jumped up from his chair to greet me and was roughly only an inch taller than my small 5-foot 3 frame.
“Hi, it’s nice to meet you. I’m Lee Jihoon, the producer, you must be Weon Kia?” He awkwardly introduced himself with a bow, nearly knocking in to me as he did due to how close together we were forced to stand.
“Yeah, I’m Weon Kia. It’s nice to meet you!” I bowed back awkwardly also, straightening up and looking at him once more. “Excuse my Korean and very basic etiquette, it’s been a while since I’ve had to speak the language so much and it’s also my first time back in Korea since I was 7 and so I’ve grown to the British ways.”
“That’s fine, what is your lunar age?”
The question caught me off slightly, I knew it was a simple and unoffensive question however, my mind was still slightly accustomed to the western ways.
“Um… I’m 17?”
“19, shall we make a start on recording?”
I silently nodded, finding the atmosphere to be slightly thick and conversation awkward, placing my phone and earphones on the desk beside Jihoon and slipping in to the small recording booth, pulling the headphones on to my head then sliding my facemask to sit on my chin so it didn’t muffle my voice. I stared at Jihoon as I waited for him to tell me what to do next, feeling uncomfortable in the silent room as I was still only a rookie in the huge world of idols and so I still had to get used to the atmosphere of recording booths.
“Okay, could you say or sing something in to the mic please to test that everything is working?” Jihoon’s authorative voice flooded the silent room, making me panic a little as I realised that he was putting me on the spot as a younger looking boy walked in to the room and perched himself on the small grey sofa. Out of panic I began to rap Jooheon’s first part in the song Interstellar, nervously laughing as I noticed how it threw Jihoon off a little as his eyebrows rose and his eyes widened slightly before focussing on one of his screens.
“Okay so the mic works, let’s go!”
Gulping once, I cleared my throat as the familiar music began to play from the headphones. The recording process flowing smoothly, Jihoon only having to correct me on my pronunciation and pitch a handful of times before I was able to step out of the booth and was faced with the newcomer of the room who had been staring at me for the 20 minutes that I sang.
“Hello, I’m Weon Kia, it’s nice to meet you!” I bowed and smiled politely to the boy who looked to be my age.
“Hey, I’m Lee Chan, nice to meet you also!”
His smile was incredibly inviting, flanked by slightly chubby cheeks that gave his face a super cute shape; not too rounded but also not too sharp. His deep brown eyes were framed by a pair of rounded, thin gold framed glasses and his grey/blonde un-styled hair flopped over them gently. We took a seat back on the sofa and listened intently as Jihoon played the nearly finalised song over the speakers with my voice finally filling the gaps that were there previously, noting down things that would need to be adjusted to improve the quality of the song. My fingers played nervously with the earbuds of my earphones that now rested in my lap on top of my phone, producing a clinking noise when they occasionally hit the screen and causing me to cringe as I was aware of Chan’s attention being drawn to me.
“So…have you debuted yet?” His first word dragged out awkwardly to initiate a conversation as he shifted in his seat to face me better.
“Yeah, I didn’t do as well as expected though which is why Pledis are getting me on as many things as possible. They’re worried that their money will get wasted if I don’t pick up views and fans and stuff like that.”
“Oh, I’m sure you’ll do great! It just needs time; would you mind if I saw your debut video?”
I winced a little at the question, cringing as I realised how rude it would be to flat out refuse the boy. Despite my brain protesting completely against it, I plugged my earphones in to my phone and pulled the music video up for my debut song ‘ice cream cake’, handing Chan both my phone and an earbud as I put one in to my own ear before pressing play and settling my gaze on his face to watch for reactions. Confusion flashed across his features as he recognised me among the back up dancers, the confusion intensifying as he took in the lyrics, dance, video concept and my general appearance; the pastel appearance and soft voice obviously contrasting to my out of work look. He bobbed along softly to my voice and the beat and eventually gave the phone and earbud back to me once it had ended, he didn’t say anything straight away, he almost hesitated with his words as he looked back up at my face, seeming like he was considering his words carefully as to avoid offending.
“I liked it! It’s just…is that actually you because you seem so different in person an-“
“Lee Chan, you can’t speak to her like that!” Jihoon snapped like a parent would, swivelling in his chair to shoot the younger boy a disapproving look as Chan’s question fell upon his ears.
“No, I didn’t mean it like that! I’m sorry if it came across that way but-“
“It’s okay, honestly. I understand what you mean,” I let out an awkward laugh, my cheeks warming up a little as I caught Chan’s wide eyes. “Pledis thought I wouldn’t be able to work the ‘bad girl’ look so they’ve given me the whole bubble gum act, I don’t enjoy it at all, it’s far from my true self. Dark clothing, rappers and more thought out, artistic lyrics and music videos are my type of thing. The only thing I like about my debut song is the wordplay and I look fairly okay in baby pink clothing,” I glanced over at Jihoon and back at Chan, the younger of the two looked to be deep in thought, “is there another question you want to ask or…”
“I’m sorry if this sounds extremely rude but what’s your nationality? Because you don’t look like you’re from Korea, but you pronounce everything so well but you also have an accent of some kind and I’m a little confused, you don’t have to answer but I’m curious.”
“I’m British, I was born in Korea and so I speak fluently but I moved back to England with my parents to be closer to the other members of my family when I was 7 so I’m a bit rusty with the language and how Korea works. I’m pretty sure it’s the only reason I was accepted in to training too.” I chuckled lightly at his question, it was a question I would frequently get so it didn’t offend me in the slightest and only amused me as I gave him my scripted answer that I usually saved for TV.
“I see, so you’re here to stay now then?” I nodded, taking note of how his squishy cheeks were now dusted with a light pink colour. “Would you like to come back to the dorm for lunch?”
My eyes widened a little at how straight-forward he was being, his hands that were wrapped in the oversized sleeves of his orange top in insecurity flew up to hide his reddening face as I began laughing, any awkwardness from this morning washing away as I realised that these boys were just as bad at interacting with others as I was.
“I-I mean, like, because I thought it would be nice for us all to get to know each other and stuff? Like you can meet Seungchol and Vernon who are on this track alongside you and that kind of… thing.”
“I appreciate it,” I giggled and gently pulled his hands away from his face to make eye contact with him. “I’ll take the offer, it would be nice to make some more friends here. I don’t have many at the moment.”
“Jihoon hyung, will you be joining us?”
The hard-working blonde ripped his eyes away from the screen once more for a few seconds, seeming to have only just caught what was being said to him, his hands never leaving the keyboard and mouse however as his head turned to greet our now standing selves.
“No thank you, I’ll grab something later. Kia, I’ll text you when the song is ready for you to hear so you can come and listen to it.”
“thank you,” I bowed a little and earned a small smile back before following Chan out of the studio door, bringing my mask back over my mouth and nose.
The walk to the Seventeen dorm from the Pledis building was short, nothing was really said between me and Chan other than him informing me that the other boys would all be at home as they don’t usually do much on their days off other than game or sleep due to their tiring schedule, which I fully understood being an idol fresh from debut, before he then gave me a quick run through of everyone’s names and how to recognise them so I would feel less intimidated by the 11 boys that I had not yet met.
“Ready?” Chan offered me a small smile as his hand rested on the door handle to their 5th floor apartment.
I only nodded in response, my hands instantly slipping in to my oversized sleeves to wrap themselves back in to sweater paws which offered me a sense of security, we could already hear loud music being played from the living room in the other end of the apartment but as soon as the front door opened a male that was a head and neck taller than me appeared from one of the rooms closest to the front door in only his tight-fitting black boxers, his hair a fluffy brown mess as he rubbed his eyes sleepily and looked over before realising that Chan wasn’t alone, his eyes widening nearly as much as mine in shock. My hands quickly flew up to my eyes to shield them from the stupidly attractive male towering in front of me and I bowed before squeaking out a rushed greeting.
“H-hello, I’m Weon K-Kia, nice to meet you!” I stayed bowed until the shuffling in front of me stopped, straightening up and peeking between my fingers I saw that the male had quickly threw on a baggy t shirt that he must of grabbed from one of the bags of clothes conveniently laying in the hall and was now stood with a bright red face and his hands crossed in front of his hips.
“I’m Kim Mingyu, I’m sorry about being underdressed, please forgive me.” He bowed in both greeting and apology, eventually straightening up and looking down at me, smiling gently with a blush dusting his cheeks before turning to Chan who was currently trying to control his laughter. “The others are in the living room if you hadn’t already heard, Soonyoung and Seungkwan are hyper and Seungchol has given up on trying to calm them down.”
He quickly slipped back in to the room that he had just come from before Dino led me in to the living room, a wide smile cracked my face as two boys who I assumed to be Hoshi and Seungkwan were dancing energetically to TWICE’s song Ooh Ahh, getting the choreography perfect, so I ran over and stood next to the boy with blonde hair, ensuring there was enough space for us to dance without hitting each other. All 3 of us sang and energetically danced along perfectly in time and tune with the song, the others all cheering, clapping and laughing as they watched us perform and when the song ended the brown-haired male squealed before picking me up in a bone-crushing hug and span me around.
“Oh my god, Weon Kia is in my dorm and she danced with me!” He screamed, still not letting me go as he placed me back on the ground. “I love your song, I know the choreography and all the words!”
His fanboy side shocked me a little but I pulled him back in for a tight hug, I rarely get the chance to meet fans or gain compliments but when I do I have to distract myself from tearing up; I may despise the song and my image however I still worked hard to debut and make my song a hit so it was amazing to know the late nights and crazy diets had worked.
“Thank you, we should dance to it together!” I excitedly suggested, him nodding frantically before running over to the phone that was plugged in to the speakers and selecting my song then standing in place, the blonde-haired boy from before also joined us as well as Chan and another brown-haired male with a wide smile.
I was in awe for the whole song, shocked at how well the 4 males knew the dance and enjoying how feminine they seemed while doing it, as the song ended we all collapsed with laughter. Finally, introductions were exchanged around the room and I learned that the blonde boy who I danced with was Soonyoung, the fanboy was Seungkwan and the wide-smiled guy was Seokmin, I was also finally introduced to Seungchol and Hansol (who had the most charming smile in my opinion), Jun who seemed to be extremely sweet, Jisoo who greeted me in English after I mentioned that is was the language I was most comfortable with (Hansol also switching to speak to me in English), and finally Wonwoo and Jeonghan who had emerged from the kitchen armed with a plate full of sandwiches. I was sat comfortably on the floor with crossed legs between Hansol and Jisoo, nibbling on a ham sandwich and sipping on my apple juice as I enjoyed the conversation of the entire group and laughing when a petty argument started up between Seungchol and Soonyoung about why the group couldn’t get a puppy and how Soonyoung should just be happy with Mingyu, everyone had been so engrossed in the argument that nobody noticed when a new male entered the room until he sat next to Jun and grabbed a plate, wide smiles were exchanged between everyone before his eyes finally settled on me and confusion took over his face, his deep brown eyes glancing at me over the top of his glasses.
“Hi, I’m Weon Kia, it’s nice to meet you!” I bowed as well as I could in my seated position with my sandwich still in my hands and waited for him to introduce himself.
“Xu Minghao, nice to meet you also.” He hesitantly introduced himself before turning towards Jun and speaking quickly in what I recognised to be Mandarin in a hushed tone. “Who is she?”
Annoyance coursed through my blood at the rude man as he carried out one of my biggest pet peeves.
“I’m a singer/rapper that has just debuted, Chan invited me over for lunch and to meet everyone because I’m working on a song with Jihoon and I’ve not been here for long. I would prefer it if you would address me when you have questions rather than trying to speak to another individual in a language you thought I didn’t know, it’s politer.” I shot back quickly in his native tongue with a slightly harsh voice, the chatter dying down as people turned to look between Minghao, Jun and myself as they realised that something was happening; the two Chinese members looking shocked.
“Is everything okay?” Seungchol asked as he noticed the tension that had formed.
“Yeah… did you know Kia can speak Mandarin?” Jun broke from his trance and laughed nervously, Minghao only shooting me a slight glare before digging in to his own sandwich and staring at the floor with squinted eyes as if it was suddenly the most interesting yet offensive thing in the world.
“Hey that’s not fair, now she can have secret conversations with China line!” Soonyoung whined with a pout dressing his face.
“…Did you just call us China line?” Jun looked slightly taken back and placed his sandwich on his lap, comically placing his hands on his hips and glaring jokingly.
I giggled loudly, realising where he must have found the ship name before lecturing him.
“You shouldn’t be on Tumblr, that’s like breaking yours fans trust!”
“…Mingyu, did you know that you and Wonwoo would make an extremely cute couple?”

Chapter 4: Becoming the Centrepiece
"Smile out of mannerisms, it will be fake... Smile for someone else's sake, it will be genuine..." -Sai
The sound of water dripping from a crack in the ceiling of the underground room penetrated the dead-silence of the place. Everything inside the room was eerily quiet. Even the people sitting on the wooden stools chose meaningful stares over the use of verbal communication. A sharp crack was heard and all the eyes turned to see the latest member enter through the only door to the room. His dark form was thoroughly soaked and he was heaving. When he passed a hand through his wet, off-white locks and pulled-out a red lollipop from his pocket, everyone recognised him as the leader of their small rebel group. He waved his hand at them and took a seat next to the only other person from his village; the first being himself. He felt the busty girl take a long breath of irritation and ignored her.
"Should I begin?" A deep, lazy voice asked him.
Darui was slightly, only slightly, taken aback by the question. Everyone was looking at him with a strange sort of seriousness radiating from their persona. No greetings? Okay...He sighed, pulling the lollipop to the left side of his mouth using his tongue and then spoke, "Alright, you can begin with it Shikamaru."
Shikamaru rolled his eyes and began, "I take it that most of us already know why we are here?"
Some nodded an affirmative at him while the others shrugged unknowingly.
"Today, at around seven past twenty in the evening, two strange looking guys came at my house, one of whom was carrying a huge sword behind his back. The guy with the sword was very lean and had white hair that contrasted well with his violet irises. He also had very sharp, shark-like teeth. His partner on the other hand was tall and had scarlet-red irises and an unusual sort of fiery-orange hair.." Shikamaru explained.
Everyone nodded their agreement for him to continue so he went on, "...No doubt they work for the Uchihas but..what intrigued me the most was their interest in the search of a certain kunoichi. And the girl they were looking for is.."
"Is?" Kiba pressed immediately, unable to contain his curiosity. Everyone awaited his response while Chouji started stuffing more and more chips into his mouth.
"The girl they are searching for is..", he paused for effect then finished, "Sakura Haruno."
A number of gasps and statements conveying shock, followed right after his words. It took them about two minutes to calm down from the revelation he had just made.
When the quiet of the room was restored, Ino was the first one who spoke. "I see. So this is the reason why Sakura has not been invited to this urgent meeting?" She asked.
"Yes" Temari was the one who answered.
As soon as those two weird men said their goodbyes and left the Nara Clan's Compound, an air of anxiety surrounded Temari. She wondered, if they have been questioned about their pink-haired friend then isn't it obvious that the others might've been too. When she told about this to Shikamaru, he said that he was thinking the same. Immediately after that, they ate the dinner with Shikamaru's parents and then secretly, Temari summoned her trusted weasel, Kamatari and send him with a message requesting an urgent meeting of the FoK. The minute the message reached Darui, he forwarded the message to all the other members keeping in mind the short request made by Temari at the end of the message. 'Do not call Sakura.' It read and so he complied.
Everyone was asked to report at the HQ at 2:30 sharp after midnight, without being noticed by their family members. So here they are, discussing about this latest concern. Temari insisted that Sakura must not get involved in this case and should also not know anything about this. It can be very dangerous for her already broken mental stature. Thus, Temari deemed this as the best for her.
"They appeared at the Hyuga Compounds too. And they really did ask about Sakura." Neji admitted.
Darui took a lick of his lollipop and asked, "Anyone else got to meet them? Or at least saw them?"
Shino was the only one who raised his hand in a yes. "They came and asked if I have seen any pink-haired girl around. I gave a negative response and they left. And yes, they looked just like Shikamaru has described them." Shino told Darui and the others in his solemn tone.
"I have never heard about anyone like that before. Did they participate in the war?" Samui asked, her irritation replaced by interest.
Before anymore confusion could occur, Sai intervened, "Suigetsu and Juugo."
"What?" The pale-blonde girl asked.
Sai turned to face Samui and answered, "The men Shikamaru, Neji and Shino are talking about, are Suigetsu and Juugo. They were once a part of Sasuke's Team Taka."
"And you know about them because?" Kiba asked.
"Because I used to work for the Root Division. There, I was supposed to stay up-to-date about the three former members of Team 7. And for that, I was given all the details about Sasuke's life as a Rogue Shinobi." He explained, flashing them his signature fake smile.
Nobody really liked the fake smile that Sai gave them. It was a usual thing for them but still very creepy. The boy was taken up into the Root at a very tender age and no one knows what Danzo did to turn the boy the way he is. It is hard to imagine that people can be restricted from their very own emotions just for the sake of keeping up with the standards of a shinobi. The only people who have been able to bring out any sort of change in his emotionless personality are Sakura and Naruto. Sai accepted the help of his teammates because unlike others who only saw him as a replacement for their previous teammate, both Sakura and Naruto treated him like a different individual. Like he was not any substitute for the team but a completely new member. Yes, it took them some time but they were the first ones who offered him a hand in friendship. No one else has treated him like they did. But ofcourse, new additions keep coming and in his case, this new person came in the form of a blonde, extremely enthusiastic female.
Ino is the only person who actually accepted his out of the usual behaviour and tried to help him out when Sakura and Naruto weren't around. It is hard to believe that a girl as emotional as her became really close to an emotionless guy like him. And for some odd reason, he enjoys her cheerful presence. Personally speaking, he enjoys her company the most. It will be the worst nightmare for him to lose the bond that he shares with her...
Instinctively, he whipped his head only to find her smiling softly at him. She appreciates him the way he is...
"But why are Sasuke's ex-teammates looking for my beautiful Sakura-chan?!" Lee interrupted Sai's thoughts and ask-yelled.
"That's exactly what we are here for." Temari answered, "We need to find out why these guys are after Sakura."
"Before joining Sasuke's side, those two guys were used in a regular basis as Orochimaru's test subjects." Sai stated.
"Which means that maybe they are only looking for her to cure them of any side-effects that they are suffering from because of Orochimaru's experimentation on their body." Shino suggested.
Shikamaru who had been silently listening to the whole conversation, stood up from his perch on the stool. His getting up indicated that he has properly deduced all the ideas, suggestions and conversations.
"No that cannot be the case since the one with the sword..I mean Suigetsu," Shikamaru spoke, nodding at Sai for informing them about their names and then continued, "Suigetsu himself told me that its an order given to him by his higher ups."
"Heh!" Kiba scoffed, "For what purpose would Madara want Sakura?"
"No" Shikamaru shook his head.
Everyone looked at the Nara-genius and awaited his completely figured-out response.
"Its just as Sai told us. These guys were a part of Sasuke's team." He stated matter-of-factedly.
"I have an inkling that the younger Uchiha is the one involved here." Shikamaru explained.
The moment he uttered those words, a string of 'Whats' and 'Whys' were flung at him. Everyone was confused about the involvement of the youngest Uchiha in this whole mess.
A blonde haired kunoichi was the most befuddled by hearing this. Her light blue irises looked around with anxiety. Her mind wandered around the thoughts of her best friend since childhood and then towards the aloof Uchiha Survivor, who now doesn't happen to be the only survivor. She pondered, if the boy kept away from her pink-haired friend for so long then why would he suddenly want her to come back to him? No one can really say what's going on in his head. He is just like the Kyuubi-boy used to be- unpredictable.
"But why does Sasuke want to see Sakura now? Now, after leaving her on a bench during a cold night and after already trying to kill her twice?! Wasn't that enough for him?!" Ino asked, mustering all her feelings for her friend in her words.
Apparently, her words actually struck a lot of them. Kiba, Lee and Sai's expressions saddened as if they recalled a very bad, long-forgotten memory from the recesses of their brain. Tenten shifted awkwardly in her stool and to everyone's immense surprise, Chouji's munching on the potato chips came to a halt. Even Neji and Shino looked more distant all of a sudden while Temari gave a reassuring squeeze to Shikamaru's sulking shoulder. The leader of their group and his assistant Samui were the only ones without any painful expressions on their faces. They were completely clueless about what caused such a disturbing silence amongst the members. It must've been something excruciatingly agonizing.
"I don't really know what happened between Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno in the past..." Darui began.
When everyone looked at him with their solemn expressions, he continued, "...but I suppose it would be the best if Sakura doesn't find out about this. It will only add to her tension even more. Therefore, I suggest that until we are able to desist the actions taken by Sasuke and his sidekicks, one of us must stay with Sakura at all times."
Shikamaru sighed, "Not a bad idea, Ino can stay with her after her working hours at the hospital."
"And one of us can secretly watch-over her during her time spent at the hospital." Temari added.
Everyone nodded in agreement.
"I can do that." Samui spoke all of a sudden.
All the heads whipped in her direction and stared at her incredulously. After her angry chiding at Sakura during their previous meeting, no one had expected her to say something like this. Something so supportive for the pinkette.
"I said I will watch over her during her working hours at the hospital." She spoke again, this time more authoritatively so as to make everyone get her point.
"Okay then, her protection has been settled." Darui spoke, "Now, there is also this problem that most of you have still not been questioned by those two guys. So whenever you see them, try diverting their minds away from their mission and make them loose interest in the case. If this doesn't work then a silent kill will be the second option. Are we clear?" He asked.
"Yes!" Everyone shouted in unison.
"Alright then, we have another meeting tomorrow afternoon about the discussion of stopping the Hyuga Clan Extermination." Darui reminded.
Everyone nodded and then Samui announced, "Dismiss!"
All the members of the FoK exited the HQ after hearing her command and dispersed into different directions to head towards their respective homes.
Sakura woke-up by the first rays of the sun peeking at her face through the open-window in the bedroom of her small apartment. She took a long yawn before getting out of the duvet and stretching her limbs to prepare her frail body for the day. With dark-circles covering her eyes, she walked towards her bathroom. Not only has she been sleep-deprived for four months but also experiencing loss of appetite. If her body is still doing proper functioning then its all thanks to the corn-soup that she takes every morning as her daily meal. She wants to keep her body nourished but whenever she tries, she is unable to swallow even a single bite of the solid foods available at her home. The outcome of the war has effected every individual in some form. And in her case, it's the loss of sleep and appetite, which have made her already thin, athletic-built even thinner.
She stared at the sluggish-looking girl in the mirror and spoke, "I will talk to her today."
The memories of her previous day's activities flooded her brain. She recalled how determined she had been when she exited her office at the hospital. Her squared-shoulders and confident stride towards the Hyuga Compound were still fresh in her mind's eye. She had gone to talk to Hinata about the whole clan elimination thing but as soon as she reached the main doors of the pale-eyed girl's house, the images of the young heiress's weeping face returned into her thoughts. She lifted her hand but found herself unable to knock so she did the best she could- she left the Hyuga Compounds without having any kind of conversation with Hinata Hyuga over the pressing matter of her clan.
Sakura punched the mirror with all her might, frustrated at the reflection of her own form, looking sadly at her. No more casualties can be afforded. She decided that even if the fate tries obstructing her goals, she will leap over and talk Hinata out of her sorrowful state for the sake of her vulnerable clan. Etching that agenda in her mind as the main goal of the day, she picked-up her tooth brush from the sideboard.

Sakura exited her hospital's office like every other day, locking the door behind her. She recalled her aim for the day- a convincing talk with Hinata. Today, she is not going to cower-away by the mere thought of the weeping face of the Hyuga Princess. Today she will woman-up and do what she must for the good of an entire clan.
She walked out of the hospital greeting every nurse and fellow doctors on her way.
As soon as she stepped down onto the stone pavement, she was pulled into a strangling embrace. When she was released from the tight hug, her gaze fell upon her childhood best friend's form. The blue-eyed beauty dragged the pinkette along with her on the sidewalk, in the direction of the Yamanaka Flower Shop. Sakura tried questioning her actions but the blonde didnot answer. With an eerie smile plastered on her face, Ino turned her head back at the huge building of the Konoha Medical Hospital and winked at a silhouetted figure on the rooftop of the building. A heavily-busted girl emerged from the shadows and winked back at the long, ponytailed girl. When the young Yamanaka Heiress turned back to face her bestie, the girl on the rooftop top vanished in a poof of smoke. Their plan is working pretty well. Now that Samui has done her part in guarding Sakura, its Ino's turn.
It was three in the afternoon and the sun was at its peak, shining fiercely in the sky. A tall, raven-haired man passed a hand through his dark locks and looked-up at the high building before him- The Hokage Tower. The man was summoned by his great grandfather to meet him for an important discussion at the said place. He sighed, wiping the sheen of sweat forming on his forehead because of the heat radiations from the sun. As if the hot temperature wasn't enough, his black sweatpants and equally matching T-shirt increased the heat even more. But still, this is the colour that suits his aloof persona, so it is best to wear these. Breathing out another sigh of irritation, he entered the Tower.
On reaching the top floor, he slammed-open the door that led to the office of the head of this village without even considering a polite knock. The man sitting on the chair before the desk only smirked at his behaviour and stood-up.
"Sasuke, I have been waiting for you." He spoke.
The young man scoffed, "What do you want, Madara?"
Another man present in the room, who had been completely ignored by Sasuke up until now walked over to him and spoke up, "Is this how you treat your elders?!"
The eldest amongst the three smirked even more. Both his grandsons are completely poles apart. They are nothing like each-other. One is a conceited, aloof, self-righteous youngster while the other is a middle-aged obedient sycophant. Both are strong enough to win against all odds yet when it comes to choosing one, Madara will nominate the younger one because even though he is a hot-headed man, Sasuke owns a perfect pair of Sharingan. Plus, he is well-acquainted with the hatred that comes with these eyes. Sasuke will be Madara's choice as a successor any day without any doubts.
"Did you find her, Sasuke?" Madara asked.
"Find who?" The younger one asked his own question.
Madara immediately understood that Sasuke is only playing with him. He knows what the whole deal is about but still wants to hear it from his great grandfather. Some guts he has.
"The girl that you've been looking for. Have you found her?" Madara asked the complete question this time.
"Not yet." came the curt response.
"Why you?! Behave yourselves infront of Madara-sama!" The other grandson scolded Sasuke again.
"I'm trying." Sasuke teased.
Although it may look like a normal banter between two blood-relatives but in case of the Uchihas, one must be very careful. Madara noticed the hostility in Sasuke's eyes and the glare of the other one. So, before their anger could escalate any further, he diffused the scene.
"Good Sasuke, for answering truthfully. You must find her by the end of this week. However I shall remind you that you only have two days and today before this week comes to an end. Hope this much time will be more than enough for you?" Madara asked in a firm voice.
"I will find her by tonight." Sasuke stated with an air of ego about his words and left the tower. If this is what he had been called here for, then it was a complete waste of his precious time.
The other man kept glaring at the youngest member of their prestigious clan leave without any sense of respect for their leader. No wonder Orochimaru took him in to join his lair of misfits.
"Obito" Madara called out and the man turned his gaze away from the door to face his great grandfather.
"Yes, Madara-sama?" He bowed.
"Don't worry too much about Sasuke's behaviour. He is exactly how I used to be." Madara said.
"I see. If this what you want from me then I will stop interfering in his matters." Obito bowed again.
"Hmm..." Madara nodded, "You may take your leave."
With that said Obito bowed once more to their clan's leader and left the Hokage's office.
"Man..we're getting nowhere with this." muttered an utterly bored Suigetsu.
His tall accompanist looked down at him with no hints of sympathy. He was not at all worried about the water-loving boy's boredom, he was more concerned about his master's constantly growing anger because of their failure in finding the woman he so desperately wants to see. If they don't find her by the end of this week then only fate knows what Sasuke has in store for them. It is important for them to do this to quell Sasuke's furious stature of mind.
"We need to find her." Juugo mumbled determinedly.
"But-"
Before Suigetsu could argue, Juugo stopped him and glanced at a building towards his left. Confused by his actions, Suigetsu also peeked out to assess the cause of Juugo's interest. It was an ordinary flower shop, one of those where you can search through or request for the bunch of your choice. What was so special about it, Suigetsu could not see.
He simply asked his tall partner, "What?"
Juugo's eyes squinted as he continued staring at the store, "Look at the Banner."
Suigetsu quirked his brows but then did as he was asked to and indeed, he too was just as dumbfounded as his fiery-haired comrade. There in pure Kanji, on the centre of the banner was the name of the shop, etched in big and concise letters: Yamanaka's Flower Shop. For a duration of full three and a half minutes their eyes remained glued to the banner. It felt like one of those experiences wherein you keep talking nonsense about something and suddenly that thing appears out of nowhere. Suigetsu took a huge gulp, not of the water stored in his small pack but of the anxiety and excitement building up in the pit of his belly.
"But I thought this civilian gossip was a...plain rumour." Suigetsu mutter confusedly.
"But seems like...it is true afterall." Juugo muttered back.
Unconsciously, their legs initiated the short jog towards the shop, halting only when they reached right at its door. If the civilians were sure about sighting a pink-haired female at the Yamanaka's Flower Shop, then maybe this is the evidence that they had been waiting for. Both of them exchanged a glance and nodded their heads before pushing-open the door to the shop.
Sakura sighed for the umpteenth time as she stared at the customers searching through the different assortments of flowers to find the perfect ones for their loved ones. She wanted to lash-out at her best friend for dragging her unwillingly to the Flower Shop owned by her parents. She was so determined to talk Hinata into helping them out for the Mission of the FoK but Ino kept ignoring her. So now here she is, helping her friend with handling the shop.
To calm her worried soul, Ino also informed her that the meeting of the FoK has been shifted to 12 o' clock midnight for some unknown reason. This provided Sakura a breath of relief and she rejoiced at the thought that still has a lot of time to convince Hinata and then bring her along to join the meeting held tonight. But then, her goal will only turn into a reality if she ever manages to sneak out of this shop without being noticed by her chirpy best friend.
"Excuse me, can you help me find the Lilacs?" A man asked her.
She walked around the counter and guided the man towards the flowers he had asked for. Ino was busy in the backyard, helping out some customers with a few exotic varieties of shrubs. Sakura's intuition told her to use this moment to her advantage and attempt her escapade.
She recalled the way Samui had called her a 'bitch' and how Tenten was angry at her for failing in being able to bring Hinata to their previous meeting. Not only that, everyone else present there was also slightly disappointed by her. She needs to get over the label of being 'weak'. And for this sole purpose, she is going to milk Hinata into joining the FoK. She took a long breath to calm her quivering heart and decided to leave the shop.
As she lifted her legs to make a dash out of the shop, she heard the door to the shop being pushed open. For some reason, she felt her intuition poking her to have a peak at the incoming customers. She excused herself from the man examining the lilacs and walked to the door, making sure there were no flaws in her henge that could lead her into trouble. In a flash, she found herself hurled onto the cold, wooden floor and gasped.
A/N: So this is it for the fourth chapter of A Chance at Redemption. I know it ended kind of like a cliff-hanger but I'll update soon.
This time the Opening Quote is given to Sai. I don't really know if anyone's even reading them but anyways XD
So what do you think of all these events revolving directly or indirectly around Sakura?
Hope you enjoyed reading this chapter.
