Here’s that masterpost I mentioned in my pinned post. It took awhile to fix some things but I'm going to be dividing stuff to make it clear what's original works, more canon works, and then a mix of both for a server I run. (Still loosely taking applications or well, for small interviews for people to join it. 18+ kind of server and pretty rad. Dm me if you want to ask about it!). 

A lot of the ones posted or planned to be posted/are being planned to eventually write for a small series I'm doing for an au idea for Smile for Me are heavy topics and contain death, trauma, and just might not be good for some people to read. Don't feel shame in skipping them because I do have plans for more wholesome works to post in between the one I just finished and a continuation of that one in prologue/epilogue form (depends on which I write first). Keep yourselves safe and read the tags for things! {Will edit later and work on adding more to the masterlist as time goes on. If I forget, I'll try posting the links until I post the link to this list}

❦ “Am I Better, Am I the Same, or Just Worse?” - is a two chapter fic that deals with the trauma of childhood, post-Habitat events, and has Boris having a panic attack while in the process of legally adopting my Flower Kid — Aspen. It's set in the current era we live in so these events happen closer to 2 years ago in our time and deals with my seaside, flowery town being mentioned so far. Has a good ending so a lot less trauma, but still deals with canon events.

❀˖° "Bad Choices Lead to Dead Ends" - is a two chapter fanfic that will potentially just get it's own section eventually due to it being the second part of a series I'm planning now. It follows the loop au that some people have used where Kamal and Boris are sentient. The twist? One of them is destined to die and the other is meant to stay back to watch the aftermath. The first chapter is Boris' POV and the second is Kamal's POV. I'd suggest reading one after the other to really put into effect the two halves of a picture type style put in. It gets really sad so I'd bring some tissues and skip out on this one if you're sensitive to death and your comfort character dying.

I went to count chickens & do final egg check around dusk, and it's been rainy all day so it was especially dim. So I'm putting my hands in nest boxes, and I feel. Not. Eggshell. Where it sure looked like Egg should be.

It turned out to be one of those shell-less eggs, just a hiccup in a hen's egg-construction system, something that happens sometimes. But that was unsettling to put my hand on, when I expected a very different feeling.

Garden log 3/31: Things I'll take credit for but have put no effort into this year

Yarrow is thriving, blooming already. I think I've succeeded at using/camouflaging that stump in the middle of the garden, finally, by covering it in perennial flowers with dense greenery.

Oregano, escaping from under the herb bed. She's thriving; I see no downsides.

Also called my favorite local landscaping place today & they've got the pink flowering dogwood I want, but they're $125+ 😔

The Catawba rhododendrons are ~$20 and a good size, though, so I may get those next week.

I'll keep looking for the dogwood; it's to go by Freya's grave. We have several regular dogwoods on the property, but she was a pretty princess & deserves the pink one. The special one, even though I know it'll take more care.

Got to see what's down my well hole, lads. Just a loooong flexi plastic tube that this dude shlorped out across the lawn, everything absolutely covered in red iron mud, and eventually the little pump.

Tomorrow an electrician is coming to fix the (hopefully simple) wiring problem, so perhaps I will get to learn a little bit more about how electricity works (it's a mystery, but every time we repair something I gain small understanding). Then I get to put the roof of the well house back together, and I'm gonna insulate it better this time!

Garden log 5/7/23

Planting beans. Broke up soil with hoe, picked out grass etc after letting it dry in the sun a day or two. Beans soaked 4 hrs-overnight before planting, & watered in by hand. Aged rabbit manure/chicken litter sprinkled on top of each row after planting.

Left row is regular field peas. Right is butter beans. Top is fatty beans on the right, up to where the black pot is sitting, & white ones on the left. I mean to do a second planting of each of these.

Still got to prepare places for the remaining seedlings. Started hoeing up rows for the tomatoes today, but I don't think that'll be enough. Might have to put some of them where the tomatillos were last year; not ideal. Basil will probably go by the yarrow/English peas.

Extra yarrow seeds scattered around.
