dumb HOL notes
House in other languages is highlighted blue as well. This includes Haus and Maison as seen in footnote 146.
In addition, Housing, Courthouse, and Houses are only highlighted partially!
I initially made this discovery in chapter 9 (evidently lol) and IMMEDIATELY tried to find Casa (Spanish for house/home). It's not in chapter 9 unfortunately and I haven't seen it yet...
THIS brings me to another point of highlighting! House is highlighted while Home is not! While this could be chalked up to an out-of-universe reason, I prefer to think that Home is used more to refer to the location as a living space, i.e. the meant-to-be, while House is the location as either an abstract or an entity, i.e. the house itself could be considered a minotaur's labyrinth-esque entity itself, considering how Navidson and his crew get lost in there so much, and one could consider Holloway to be the Minotaur; or rather, Minos' child, abandoned in the labyrinth because of a trait he couldn't change.
Footnote 123 is a key, Footnote 295 is meant to be a sword (the missing text shatters the sword in two), and I swear I saw a keyhole somewhere but correct me if I'm wrong (I'm on page 386 currently!)

I posted this house when it was for sale in Margate, New Jersey and apparently, the guy who bought it for $1.3M, has turned it into what the neighbors call “The Blue House,” and it’s not a compliment.
Owner Jack Zoltak bathes his house in blue every night, using an extensive light display. Some say the lights are making it hard to sleep, in addition to attracting some unwanted attention and traffic.
"Some people could say it looks like a bordello," said neighbor Larry Frankel. "I just think it's over the top and a little bit outrageous," Frankel added.
Another resident added, "Some of the other neighbors can see the lights shining into their homes. It’s been attracting a lot of people.”
One neighbor said that he can’t sell his house b/c of the spectacle.
“I don’t know what they’re complaining about," Zoltak added. “The lights don’t even go anywhere. They’re just on my house. And they’re on timers. They go off at 1:30 a.m.”
I don’t know, b/c if you ask me, the house is just as bizarre in the daytime. Look at the front porch.
Look at the statues of Pres. Obama and Michelle in the blue light.
And, check out the inside.
Blue lights and mirrors carry thru the theme.
Zoltak says he adds new things every year- are these Smurfs or Oompa Loompas? Because Margate has no current laws regulating residential lighting, the city can't offer any solution right now, anyway.
