Autumn in the mountains has always been a quick fleeting period of time. Every year I’ve strategically planned to see foliage peaks and make my way to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Three years ago, I made it to Virginia, and I took my favorite self portrait.

Off-topic, but wanted to share.  I did my first wine-tasting this past week during a work-related trip to DC.  The event was hosted at Three Creeks Winery, located just outside Leesburg, VA in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  The wine was divine and the evening was near ideal, especially after the sun peaked through the winterish clouds just before dusk.  You can see for yourself how the winery got its name. I apologize for the crappy cell phone photos.
