you know what, i'll defend ema's "intellectually attracted" comment because everyone assumes its her like, denying lanamia, but to be honest thats such specific phrasing that ten to one i think its something that lana said to her, where in a conversation lana was like

"man i hope mia's attracted to me" and then panicked in that way where youre like wait i didnt mean to Come Out like that and was like "uhh,,, intellectually attracted of course! ahahaha."

and young ema was like "okay!" and just internalized that and didnt question it because why would she question her cool older sister who she looks up to so much.

then it never came up until lana was in the detention center and ema was like oh! i can be helpful! in that little sister type way and hopped in like "intellectually attracted of course!"

and is too busy thinking i'm going to get a good grade in little sister (something normal to want and possible to achieve) because i said it the way lana said it :) to notice phoenix and lana sharing a Look like "she doesnt know im gay mr wright."

Then like five years later Ema's sipping coffee on a random morning, and realizes "wait what the fuck they were 100% dating"

After a particularly memorable lethal company run wherein I teleported a newly masked friend onto the ship, who then proceeded to rip and tear through all but one of our crew, I've picked up a habit of charging up a shovel whenever I teleport someone back as a precaution

Imagine being in god's scariest building, signaling for a teleport out, and then your first sight on the ship is your coworker with a shovel fully raised over their head, seconds away from caving your skull in, and they just go 'oh hey how’s it going' before swinging that shovel full send into the wall

Out of the (unfortunately) many One Piece scenarios bouncing around in my head one of my favorites is Zoro getting hit with the memory loss beam, and only remembering up until like. immediately after Morgan’s defeat. He’s agreed to join up Luffy and is already feeling his heart swell with loyalty, but is still under the impression that he’s going to join up to a much larger crew, with several other members.

So he just blinks awake and at first there’s none of the confusion and yelling that comes with the memory loss trope, he’s okay, he’s banged up cause of Morgan, he’s on a boat because he just became a pirate, and oh hey Luffy’s right there. This must be his new crew.

I’ve been trying to find a book that i read a While ago. I dont remember the title but I do remember that

- it was set in a town by the sea/cliffs? cliffs were important, maybe. thematic.

- the main character’s family had this ability to take things/give things to others? it might have been memories, it might have been physical traits?

- I’ll be honest with you the most vivid plot point I remember is that the main character was suffering with neck pain for most of the book, before being worn down by his grandmother (?) into just getting rid of it by passing it onto someone else, so he gives it to this random girl, and later he looks her up (somehow) and learns shes does gymnastics, and the very specific lines “She’s a gymnast. And I just gave her a neck injury”

-also his dad is minorly opposed to the magic because he married in and thinks its not the right way to be dealing with painful things

this is a complete shot in the dark, so if anyone has even the vaguest idea of what I’m talking about I would really appreciate any info you have
