A yelled shriek, and then a low, forcible cry, and he two jedi skid to a quick stop just in time to witness the darksider flung through the air, slamming into the wall ahead of them from around the corner.
Ben and Qui-Gon share a glance, before the Sith’s snarling as he rises, and the sudden shart retort of a personal blaster attempts to send him back to the ground.
They fail, batted away with the simple shunt of a red saber as the Sith takes a dangerous step back towards his new obstacle –
Only for a rather less avoidable flying quartz bench to send him into the wall again – and this time through the tranparisteel window with a crash.

Star Wars (because I have no other life):
(Re)convene by Nightfall_1409:
10 years after sacrificing himself for the Rebellion, Ezra Bridger is offered the chance to turn back the clock and alter the course of history forever- the Force sending back with him a ragtag band of heroes, all whom have proven themselves worthy of the chance, all of whom have the drive to prevent the events that turned their lives into living nightmares, all of whom have the chance to save their loved ones from their fates.
Now 35 years in the past, returned to the era of the Republic 6 years before the rise of the Empire, 3 years before the start of the Clone Wars, he has to unite his scattered allies- Ahsoka Tano, Din Djarin, Boba and Omega Fett- and put together the puzzle of what caused the galaxy to fall, or they'll all be doomed to watch it happen again.
Personal Thoughts:
I really like this one. Time travel is my favorite trope. It’s well written, it draws you in, and the author has done an excellent job of mashing up Legends and Canon in fun and unique ways.
It has everything: Force Sensitive Omega, Tired Space Dad Din Djarin accidentally becoming a main character, Ezra and Anakin as chaotic besties, no Jedi bashing, and much more that would be spoilers.
The author tries to update twice a month. It’s really good. Also this is the only one I’m including the summary for because I’m lazy.

Force Sensitive Sabine travels back in time to the Clone Wars, accidentally bonds with a Force Entity that I’m 99% sure is the Brother, becomes Obi-Wan’s Padawan, and keeps accidentally-on-purpose bringing people back to the past.
Also Quinlan Vos is there.
It’s Sabezra if that’s a turn off for anyone.
You Either Die A Hero… by RennyBanette
The 501st gets trapped in a time loop on Umbara. Delightful crack full of Krell murder and fire.
The Desert Storm by Blue_Sunshine
This is the Star Wars time travel fic. It’s so good. 4 years after the fall of the Republic Obi-Wan gets caught in a sandstorm, and when it passes he’s back in time when Anakin’s just a three year old clinging to his mom’s skirt.
Naturally, Obi-Wan frees the Skywalkers, changes his name to Ben Naasade, takes his younger self as a Padawan, and gives Mace Windu so many headaches.
Featuring: Jedi Shmi Skywalker, Pong Krell getting his shit wrecked, Legends stuff, Jedi Shmi Skywalker, Mandalorians being awesome, Alderaan being awesome, Jedi Shmi Skywalker, Obitine, the Sith being evil and creepy, and most importantly, Jedi Knight Shmi Skywalker

If you read nothing else on this list I encourage you to read this (if the tags are not a squick) because it will re-shape your brain and shatter your heart into tiny pieces. Basic premise is Force Sensitive Cody gets captured by Dooku and survives torture, experimentation, and imprisonment while trying to figure out his relationship to the Force and to his personhood, and the ways those things are connected.

The Desert Storm by Blue_Sunshine
If you are looking for an epically long series to get invested in I highly recommend checking this one out. This series and its sister-series are some of the best characterization and worldbuilding for Jedi I have ever had the pleasure of reading and it is a fix-it in all the messy, hard, terrible ways people don’t usually write fix-its.

June recs
June was full of Neil Gaiman fandoms: first I rewatched Good Omens S1 (S2 on Friday!!!) and then plowed through my backlog of fic to read, and then I watched The Sandman. So there's six Good Omens recs, two Sandman recs, and one lone but lovely Goblin Emperor rec.

Demonology and the Tri-Phasic Model of Trauma: An Integrative Approach by Nnm / @mouseonamoose
Amazing story about Crowley going to therapy, from his therapist's POV. The author clearly knows their stuff and Aubrey is a vivid character in her own right with her own journey to go on. This one's been recced all over, but it really is that good.

In which Crowley gets discorporated and many shenanigans ensue - the London occultist underworld, lust-demons, Hell bureaucracy, Aziraphale vs loopholes, fake marriage, and of course, a happy ending. Slightly morbid at times but a fun hilarious romp.

Lovely look at Crowley tempting Christ (as he mentions to Aziraphale), and the lasting effect it has on him.

In which Hob doesn't just build an inn and pine after 1989, but hires Johanna Constantine to help him track down Dream. Great AU in many directions, and the Hob-Johanna friendship is a complete scene-stealing delight. (If you like them as much as I did, there's another WIP that just finished: Totus Mundus Agit Histrionem, which kicks off with Johanna rescuing Hob from a demonic possession.)
Passing the Time by Anonymous
Dream passes time in the fishbowl by quietly terrorizing his guards. (The author tagged this 'Dream is petty and terrifying' and I couldn't agree more.) Viciously funny but also a little heartbreaking.

What obi-wan time travel fics would you reccomend?
I have been preparing for this ask my whole AO3-bookmarking life.
the massive machinery of hope by Killbothtwins: the absolute best, the amazing, the Time Traveling Obi-Wan Is A Little Shit series you never knew you needed. NOT a crack series, but it is very good fun. Obi goes back, and uses his fore-knowledge and the amazing power of PTSD to make everyone think he's a baby seer. Qui-Gon Jinn feels very hunted by this child who shows up to places ahead of him. Features an amazing new plot from the get-go; no rehashing the usual canon timeline here!
The Desert Storm by Blue_Sunshine: in which Obi comes back in his Old Man body and takes baby Obi-Wan as an apprentice. Another one that does a good job of setting its own plot distinct from canon. Each series entry is generally a whole-ass novel with a plot that builds off the others. I am currently traumatized (positive) by a certain plot development, and refusing to read chapter-by-chapter. Fortunately it updates so fast that I can simply wait a month or two then pull off the latest bandaid REALLY FAST and see if the newest entry hurts. It's Hurt/Comfort roulette, baby!
Can't return to who I was before by K_R_Closson: Dooku takes tired time-traveler Obi as his padawan. The hospice chapter HURT me, in the best way.
BONUS fics: time-traveling-Obi-adjacent stories
Full Circle by cjwritesfanficnow: Baby Dooku outsider POV on time traveler Kenobi suddenly being in the temple. Baby Dooku is VERY SUSPICIOUS.
Luminous by HopeofDawn: Force Ghost Obi-Wan goes back in time to haunt Kamino. The baby clones feel loved. Jango feels harassed.

It has come to my attention that I have really really slacked off in making the most important fic rec I could every make: The Ben Naasade Saga (comprised of two series: Desert Storm and Rise and Fall) by @blue-sunshine-mauve-morning Blue_Sunshine on Ao3 Begin reading here.
Four years after the events of Revenge of the Sith, Ben Kenobi of Tatooine walks out into a sandstorm and when he makes it to his destination he realizes he’s many years in the past. He adopts the name Ben Naasade and sets about doing everything he can to change the fate of Anakin Skywalker and prevent the tragic events of his timeline from happening this time around. Including changing the course of events for 13 year old Obi-Wan Kenobi.
It’s sounds like the heart of every time travel fix it but I promise you: it is So. Much. More. It very very much an epic saga. It has many many parts. It’s well over a million words. PLEASE don’t let that turn you away. It is worth every second of your time. It is masterfully written. It is done with time and care and attention to so many details of Star Wars knowledge and lore. It has layers and layers. The foreshadowing is meticulous and yet you will be absolutely floored and gobsmacked. Again and again. This was what dragged me into fanfic. I would literally pay very large amounts of money to own a bound copy of this. It deserves a place of honor on a library bookshelf.
I cannot possibly oversell this enough. This story will change you. Whether you are like me and binge read and consume this over a very intense month(s?)and walk away dazed and reeling with everything you just went through or slowly work your way through and savor the depth of the plot and characters and events, please. Just. Read this.

R2-D2 Saves the Galaxy (Okay, so Obi-Wan helps a little) by kj_feybarn (@feybarn) - One of my absolute favorite fics. Nothing liked Artoo POV, especially when interspersed with Obi-Wan.
there is no death (there is a wedding) by virdant (@virdant-writing) - one of my early forays into Jangobi, and generally just a very fun approach to things like Petty Legal Battles With Grandpa Who Thinks You Married Wrong.
Encrypted Channel by qigiined (@deniigi) - Do you want OT-era Rexwalker, but infinitely more stupid despite theoretically being too old for this shit? Do you want it in chatfic format? Do you want Vader to be following Rex around (metaphorically) with puppy eyes (less metaphorically) and being upset that Rex doesn't want to get with him after all the many crimes? Yes. You do.
A Star to Steer By by dogmatix, norcumi (@dogmatix, @norcumii) - I have reread this so many times. I'm not even in Stargate fandom, and yet this crossover verse owns me. (Still thinking about how Ventress and Narec and the entire Rattatak situation might have gone down ngl.)

Of Queens, Knights, and Pawns by chancecraz (@chancecraz) - Do you love Leia? Do you love hypercompetent future Leia who's cranky about being nineteen again because nobody takes her seriously? Read this.
Shifting Sands also by chancecraz - still a hypercompetent Leia, but further back and Still Old and also the most recent chapter was 65,000 words.
Don't Look Back by acuteneurosis (@this-acuteneurosis) - another Leia time-travel, this one focusing very heavily on political maneuvering and things like trade routes. We got economics and supply route fic.
Force of Many Sights by DAsObiQuiet - There's something magical about fics that go into such detail about the time and effort that therapy, especially therapy for Darth Vader, takes.
Viridescent Skies by DarthSnug (themikeymonster) (@themikeymonster) - listen I just really love age/role swaps and this is a REALLY good one.
Living in Borrowed Time by smug_albatross (@scribbling-albatross) - Another one of those fics that I'd say really shaped my early approach to characters of this era. The handling of Rex and Ahsoka is magnificent, honestly, and we all know I love a good time travel plot.
Senator Obi-Wan AU by BeanieBaby - incredibly fun. Yes there's Senator Kenobi, but there's also Fox being pursued by two different Jedi (Kit and Quin), a variety of topsy-turvy character interactions that make sense in a funhouse mirror sense (e.g. Obi-Wan preferring blasters to sabers because he didn't grow up with the Jedi), and Anakin repeatedly almost kills Palpatine by accident.
Soft Wars by Project0506 (@thefoundationproject) - no explanation needed. Is cute.
Dominoes by meridianpony (@meridiansdominoes) - we don't need to go over my intense love of time-travel fics again. really.
Sith Lord Swell by AMournfulHowlInTheNight (has a blog but not for fandom stuff) - Luke falls back in time and decides to handle it by pretending to be a Sith Lord. It works (somehow).

10/10. Magical.
I made the mistake of reading this at work, which was a mistake not for any smut (the rating on this fic is a very appropriate T) but because I almost burst into tears four separate times. As someone who can be driven to tears by an adequately cute kitten, I can't promise that you'll share my experience, but if you're into heartfelt time travel fics, this is for you.
I feel I ought to warn you though, this is the first fic in a very long series. In its entirety, the series has 1.5 million words. While I imagine you could probably read this fic by itself, I can't advise it - the ending left me craving more.
