Here’s the main man himself, Steven Universe, and his mother’s sycthe. Pretty happy with this design, though I can’t really figure out how to draw shoes well. I knew right away wanted to give him a hoodie though to tuck his hands into, similar to Blue’s absurd sleeves.

She’s a very fashionable gem. Quite full of herself, and quite energetic. Absolutely loves Steven to bits. The sun hat isn’t actually part of her form, she bought it with Pearl’s money.

Welcome to the Blue’s Court AU. You can already read the description so let’s get to it.

I plan to make this a comic. For now, I’ll do asks and post art of some of the characters and settings. Some asks won’t be answered because they verge on spoiler territory.

The gems are (Blue) Pearl, Sapphire, Aquamarine, Holly Blue Agate, and Lapis Lazuli. Zircon and Larimar are also there, but they do a lot of research in their rooms.

I’m a very busy person with college going on, I’ll try and update at least weekly but I can’t make any promises. I’ll keep you updated if things need to be put on hold longer.

Feel free to ask questions, and criticism is welcome. I’m not the best artist and I’m not the most experienced writer, so if anyone wants to give some (friendly and helpful) criticism, please do.

The state of this AU (no, its not cancelled)

Hi. Been a while since I posted here. I’ll be frank, I’ve lost a lot of the interest I’ve started this with. Between classes and the amount of time it takes to make a full page this has been at the back of my mind. I want to continue this AU, I have a story I want to tell and I really look forward to telling it. But for now, this AU is on an indefinite hiatus until I can motivate myself to do it and find time to do it. Sorry. In the meantime, while I can’t find the time to do full pages, I’ve been posting a lot of my other stuff to @the-sleepiest-melon. I post some SU art there, and I have a couple other AUs I’ve been crafting (not one’s that I will do a full comic for, though). Until then. Thank you all for the support. It means to me more than you know.

Here’s Pearl. I was contemplating whether to give her a sword or give her gauntlets to differ from CG Pearl. Ultimately I went with the tried and trued sword option. Blue had the sword forged for her.

Pearl spends a lot of time on missions, and takes various part-time jobs to help provide for Steven. She helped Greg a lot when Steven was young, often visiting. She’s a very committed gem who will do whatever she needs to for Blue’s Court, and for Steven.

I’m joking around. Yes, Rose is still Pink. Yes, they had her shield and could have survived the blast. Whether or not they’re on Earth or something else happened is something you’ll have to wait and see.

So what changes happened with the war? And how come there are no crystal gems on the Earth?

You’ll have to wait and see for the changes. But the reason there are no Crystal Gems on Earth was because there was no way to survive the blast, unless you had a Diamond protect you. And the Crystal Gems didn’t have any Diamonds with them, just some strangely OP Rose Quartz. So there’s no chance. None at all. Yep, the Crystal Gems didn’t survive. Mmhmm. Yep.

Yes! She’s a part of Blue’s Court in this AU, she had a different past that changed who she is and what she stands for. So she won’t be holding Greg hostage in this AU (hopefully).
