first art post from me in a bit woo!!! and its battle cats, but oh well.redraw of an old piece of mine, i have an intricate fondness of bluestar.
crop of the face without overlay and ect:
I really love the ship of Bluestar and Yellowfang! I hc Bluestar as bi because she clearly did love Oakheart romantically, but I imagine she has a preference for mollies due to her always hitting it off better with every she-cat in her clan and seemingly feeling dismissive about all the toms. As far as I remember her super edition anyway. She also strikes me as a bit gnc, as does Yellowfang. Her especially, actually!
As for Yellowfang, she could either be bi or a lesbian to me. My reasoning is that even though she had a great time with Raggedstar, she always seemed to be wishing for something else. That's mostly because he was extremely toxic towards her, but I could easily see her suffering from comphet (compulsive heterosexuality) and just trying her best to have something with Ragged, and simply settling for him because she couldn't think of anyone else. To me it really felt like Ragged was into her, and she just went along with it. Even though he was always rude to her and only became maybe friends level nice right before they started dating. That, to someone who's struggled alot with comphet, screams "Hey, now he's nice to me and we're friends so that must mean we can date! It works right? This is how romance between girls and boys goes, right?"
She could also just be a bi/pan molly who got out of a bad relationship but either way I sympathise with her
“You were afraid,” he says, “it’s okay.” He presses in closer. He’s never tried to push his luck with Bluefur, never assumed she loved him any more than she did, but her kits (their kits, really), are still so young. “Let’s go back,” he says, “everything will be better in the morning.”
“Okay,” she says. Her acquiescence is soothing, a reassurance that things will be alright. He takes Mosskit and Stonekit, wanting to keep Mosskit warm. She leans on him as they walk back, pain and fear still radiating off her.
