Hello,
I moved from my old shared hosting plan to WPX hosting. WPX installs the W3TC plugin by default and they configure it, too (with some customized settings that are specific to WPX).
W3TC is overwhelming and I’m yet to learn more about it.
For those of you who are with WPX, did you leave the W3TC as it was configured, or did you try to optimize it further?
Thanks.

Would trademarking my brand help with SEO? https://www.reddit.com/r/SEO/comments/grhw8j/would_trademarking_my_brand_help_with_seo/
Hey guys,
what do you think, would trademarking help with SEO?
I've read that domain registration length (and not hidden 'whois'), company data on your website, etc. helps with rankings. Google likes transparency and established businesses. So I'm wondering if a trademark would help or not.

Can I set a new "publish date" even if the change in content was small? https://www.reddit.com/r/SEO/comments/g60ntb/can_i_set_a_new_publish_date_even_if_the_change/
Hello,
I don't have an option to set an "updated" or "modified" date in my WordPress theme, however, I'd still like my readers (and Google) to know that the content was updated.
Today I added few paragraphs to my existing post (5% of total content or so). Can I set a new "publish date" and in the beginning of article add something like: "Update: We updated this article in April 2020 to include an extra tip for ..."?
What do you think?
Thanks.

WPX Hosting vs. Kinsta vs. WP Engine? https://www.reddit.com/r/SEO/comments/dy0m46/wpx_hosting_vs_kinsta_vs_wp_engine/
Hello,
I soon want to move from SiteGround (which is great for shared hosting, no complaints at all) to a faster, more dedicated hosting.
I see there three mentioned the most:
WPX Hosting
Kinsta
WP Engine
WPX seems like the best deal by far. You can host 5 websites, it's the cheapest ($20/month) and according to some tests it's the fastest, plus it has the most bandwidth available (100 GB).
Kinsta starts at $30/month and WP Engine starts at $35/month. Both offer more or less the same in their starting packages.
I wonder, do you have experience with any of these? Is WPX too good to be true? Which one would you choose?

How to properly delete old blog posts? https://www.reddit.com/r/SEO/comments/dvp7u3/how_to_properly_delete_old_blog_posts/
Hello,
I want to delete a few (old and unrelevant) blog posts from my WordPress powered website and I wonder what's the proper way to do it (the blog posts don't have any internal links pointed to them - they're just categorized and have a tag).
1) Do I delete the posts and that's all?
2) Should I create a 301 redirect? (I'd do a redirect to the main page)
3) Should I add a 410 ("content deleted") header? (I've read about this on Yoast's website)
4) Should I just check the "noindex" option in my SEO plugin?
I'd appreciate your thought.
Thank you.

Do you disavow spammy links? https://www.reddit.com/r/SEO/comments/df4el8/do_you_disavow_spammy_links/
Hey guys,
I have someone "threatening" me that he'll negative SEO my website with thousands of bad links and that he'll copy my site's content on some low quality sites, if I don't buy his "white hat" backlinking service.
I didn't reply, but it got me thinking about the vulnerability of my site.
If I'll start seeing an increased number of spammy backlinks, is it advisable to disavow them? Or should I just leave everything as it is? I've read that Google says that nobody can do any damage to you, but a friend of mine lost all his traffic about 2 years ago, exactly because of a negative SEO attack. His site was already big and established with about 300K visits per month. He got manual actions by Google and his traffic went literately to zero.
After two months of disavowing backlinks (he also hired a company to help him on which he spent $10K), the manual action was removed and his site needed a whole year before it fully recovered. From then on he's disavowing bad links weekly.
Also, if someone copies the texts from my site and posts them on some low quality sites, could that really have a negative effect?
I'd appreciate your opinions. Thanks.
