NEW BITE MARKS CHAPTER I'M FERAL

For some reason Calum just being so lost and looking for a water glass in the kitchen just really made my heart hurt. You weave such good poetry into such normal scenes.

One of the things I really like about this chapter is Calum searching aimlessly for cups until he finds them himself in the beginning versus Michael searching for cups later and Ashton just getting one for him so he doesn’t have to keep looking. I think there’s a lot of ways you can interpret that!!

ACTUALLY, TODAY’S EPISODE HAS KINDA MADE ME REALIZE A LOT.

Mainly the dynamic that the “bad guys group” had, yk? Like. KC and Bloodmoon and Eclipse (and Solar Flare). None of them really wanted to be around each other, huh?

It was less “the kill code family” and more “the outcasts that no one else wanted to be around.” It wasn’t a group like in UTMV where each member of the gang all bounced off each other in fun ways and truly cared for each other’s well being despite their status as “evil” or “villainous”. They were always toeing a line with each other.

They were always seeking each other out for a want or need rather than just because they could. KC took Bloodmoon under his wing out of pity, Bloodmoon stayed with KC because they could hunt together, and Eclipse only tolerated both of them because they were useful to have on his side rather than working against him.

None of them loved each other, especially not in a familial way. They just all had a mutual enemy who outcasted them and they were all useful to each other in some way. They were all just lonely and bored and bitter enough to be a “family.”

internet critics tm getting so mad about black mirror doing supernatural themes in their episodes like girl. any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic! also maybe you should consider that the core conceit of black mirror is really “our contemporary unease with the modern world” and not necessarily ‘instagram bad’

#also I thought mazey days was pretty decent (although SUPER in your face even for bm) and demon 79 was great #though I think bc demon 79 went SO heavy on the political commentary you really needed to be british to appreciate it fully #like everyone who has experienced racism and esp indian diaspora can likely relate to a lot of the racism in the episode but a lot of it #was just so specific to the turn into thatcherite uk #also the demon in the guise of the guy from boney m. oh my god #black mirror spoilers #I guess?#people who just didn’t like the episodes I respect. because that’s just personal taste & yeah bm is uh. not the most subtle of dramas #but the internet critics being like ‘bm is out of touch!’ is just SO funny because yeah they were out of sync with ‘really modern concerns’#like… two seasons ago?#the fact they only just got to stuff about deepfakes and ai is pretty telling lol

IT'S LEAKS TIME AGAIN! And all I'm gonna say this time is THIS IS A FOUL, THIS IS A CLEAR FUCKING FOUL!!!!!! 🟨 🟨 🟨

Come on they gotta have an AI ref, right? Ego gotta be watching this he HAS to call this a foul, you can't claim you are playing football and ignore the rules! "Oh but it would slow down the match" sometimes you gotta do that to tell a player "behave or you are out", this isn't even something he could find an excuse for. When Oliver went for Noa instead of the ball they recognized the foul but opted not to call it cause they could see he was trying to slow them down by stopping the match, in this case that was smart. But Rin wasn't going for that right now, he was just being an asshole. If it was Shidou doing that he'd be getting back to the straight jacket, I'm sure.

Otherwise, this match really exposing that BM has no defense when even the offensive players gotta fall back and abandon their positions to stop Rin.
