Once Toshi retired and no longer had to pretend he's invincible, he began to warm up to the idea of using mobility aids. He mentioned it in passing to Midoriya and, with Bakugo's reluctant help, his protege latched on to the idea until they could make it a reality.

katsuki absolutely hates it when he hears that specific ka-clank! when your hydroflask falls down. he absolutely hates it— the sound and all, how it disrupts his studying, how it makes him turn around and just glare.

for one— why can’t you just keep it someplace safe? and secondly— if you’re too lazy, at least buy those rubber bottoms for friction and as a sorta case.

but then he feels a little bad when he sees people accidentally knock it down— when he knocks it down, and sees an impending dent. he normally doesn’t give a shit, but maybe he does because it belongs to you.

after he knocks it down real bad this one time, you go down to the common room and see a brand new hydroflask with a card addressed to you specifically.

“don’t knock this one down, dumbass. this one isn’t much of a leaning tower like your last flask.” it read.
