Bkdk-Brainrot that one day while grocery shopping for a Class A-movie night, Katsuki and Izuku meet the two classmates from middle school who had always followed Katsuki around.

When they see Katsuki, they greet him in a cheerful way, being way too loud for Katsuki’s taste. He hates that they could do this to him but he feels uncomfortable with their mischievous grins and their sneering laughter. He can’t believe he had felt so powerful just because they had… obeyed him.

That’s when Izuku comes around the corner, reading the back of an instant ramen soup, asking Katsuki if he wants some too, since they are extra spicy.

At the sight of him, the other two scream in surprise, wondering what he wants from Katsuki.

“Ah!”, Izuku says, recognizing them and greeting them by their names – his dependable memory makes Katsuki roll his eyes, like always.

“Kacchan”, he then looks at Katsuki again, “Do you want some too?”

The other two are mortified.

“You guys are hanging out?!”, one of them asks.

“Like, for real? With that loser?”, the other looks at Katsuki like he had absolutely lost his mind.

That’s why Katsuki had felt instantly uncomfortable. Not only because they smell like trouble, not only because they remind him of how he had acted in the past but especially because he had sensed that they expect him to be the same as back then. As if he hadn’t changed at all.

But he did. And he had worked hard for it.

“Calling others losers – isn’t that getting old for you?”, he responds, turning to leave, “Let’s go, nerd.”

Izuku says his goodbyes, even waving at them, before hustling to Katsuki’s side.

Katsuki feels Izuku’s gaze but he isn’t in the mood to talk about it. Mostly because he isn’t satisfied with how the conversation had played out. A) because Katsuki feels like a hypocrite, calling them out for calling other people loser when this is something he did himself now and then too and b) because he regrets not defending Izuku more. Not that he needed it but still.

“Is it okay?”, Izuku says eventually, “Just leaving your friends like that?”

Katsuki looks at him in shock. “They’re not my friends, what the hell?”

“Hmm...”, Izuku mumbles, making it sound more like a question.

“We were just hanging out in middle school, that’s all.”

Silence takes over while they are waiting for the rest of their classmates who had come to the store with them.

“Are we friends then? You and I?”

Katsuki frowns. He looks at the nerd who doesn't meet his eyes.

“Or are we just hanging out, too?”

Katsuki feels kind of taken aback, considering how close they had gotten again. But he knows that Izuku’s question is totally legitimate after what he had just stated.

Katsuki clears his throat. “You bet your ass we are”, he says, feeling warm at Izuku’s beaming that follows. Katsuki wants to add something like “What else?” but holds it back because he doesn’t want to say something hypocritical for the second time this day.

Because whenever he gets lost in Izuku’s features, swallowed whole by those green eyes and staring at his lips when Izuku pinches them, deep in thoughts and whenever he thinks of the greenhead late at night, in the dark of his room, letting his fantasy loose so much, he can't look at the nerd the next day without blushing – that’s when he damn well knows that he's completely fucked and that he, for sure, wants them to be something else.

With the release of the latest chapter, finally seeing Deku arrive and notice his Kacchan lying lifeless on the ground, surrounded by blood alone and with the All Might card still next to him (even if nobody actually told him: "you know dear, he's dead", and this got me a bit disappointed, because in this way Deku didn't know the truth already, maybe believing Katsuki was just hurt or simply passed out; if he'd been saying that, it would be different, 100 times more shocked and angry)

However, it was too painful for my soul, witnessing that: Deku's eyes gradually losing their usual light, and the most absolute explosion of anger at being, like, abandoned in the most dangerous fight without his symbol of victory being there for him

(Let's everyone face it: to reaching the point of giving up your ideals of saving, suddenly thinking that killing is right just because the dearest person in the world has been taken away from you and without its presence nothing would make sense anymore... how much meaning there is in this?

It gave me shivers, and that's the further demonstration of how superfluous words are between them, as they're a soul mingled into two bodies, because their actions speak 10 times as louder; it's just a "dying for him" or "killing for him", plain and simple; such a thing which makes us understand how many shades of love, affection, care, dependence, softness, roughness, all sort of emotions are embodied in their twisted relationship; twisted yes, because of the past, but already changing for the better, for their future's selves)

Or when they said it would be too difficult to imagine a world without the other??

Don't know how people at this point could still deny anymore that surely there's some strong feelings hidden inside their hearts

But, even though I started rambling I've started writing with one purpose in mind:

It's not a critique, I mean, I love how the story is narrated and all, but I imagined slightly different the continuation of this chapter; in my opinion it could be even better if Deku's rage was still not domated fully (so, Mirio, thank you for being there for him, but it's still not enough), as if he was fighting as a crazy, don't minding to hurt himself or Shigaraki, forgetting for a moment why he had to save him if he took away his precious Kacchan?

This, almost reaching the point of him winning the fight, a hand on Shigaraki's neck, ready to break it;

And then, he felt something grabbing his other hand: here's Kacchan, his Kacchan, his saviour, the love of his life, holding it dearly, unbothered by the fact Deku, in that moment, is more similiar to a villain than a hero

He sobs loudly, and can't believe his eyes; he's there now? How? So beautiful, and breathing

And at the end Katsuki speaks: "I got you, Izuku. Now, we're in this together. Don't you forget, nerd, we're here to win. But there's not winning, without saving".

Am I projecting, right?? But that sounded sooo good in my mind I wanted to share with you fellows out there

15. What’s a word you have no clue how to pronounce?

i don’t normally struggle w words bc i do a good job of breaking them down if i’m confused. but there’s a few. like specific, acai (how the hell do you say this.), ask (the southern in me says axe.), hyperbole, and more that i’m probably forgetting. i know how to pronounce most of these words i just struggle w them for some reason ☠️

16. What’s a sleepover activity you’ve never done before?

roasted marshmallows. and i’ve barely been on sleepovers anyways. but i’ve never made s’mores? idk if that’s a sleepover thing

“mama mine! dada no touch” he stomps his feet, the same exact way katsuki used to back in your high school days, you can’t help but laugh.

your husband mirrors him, crossing his own arms “really? you wanna go there with me, little man? ya got 5 seconds to run.”

as katsuki counts down, he immediately runs into hiding, letting out squeals at the way his father tickles him.

you’re watching with an amused expression and shake your head, trudging back over to the kitchen.

i like that hori brings characters to similar fights and showcases how diff and similar the characters are compared to the prev fights

dabi vs shoto, deku vs kacchan, hawks vs twice(welp, up in the air rn), toga vs ochako

deku and katsuki fought about the same issues in dvk pt 1 & 2, but resolutions that were actionable for mutual growth only came after the 2nd one. first fight merely spurred them on.
