Boku No Hero Academia Chapter 266 SPOILERS

(Edit: upon my second reading of this I realised the narration is supposed to be Twice's final thoughts as he dies.)

Me and you both Dabi. I guess it couldn't have been that easy, Hawks is the hero of the story after all.

The fact that Hawks save Twice too, even tho he was just trying to kill him 5 seconds ago.

Dabi burnt most of Hawks' feathers and his wings are toast so he's got himself in quite the pickle. Hawks points out that Dabi almost burnt Twice to a crisp and Dabi says "It's fine. I knew you were gonna save him cause that's what heroes do" like the sarcastic little shit he is.

Hawks is wondering how Dabi knew it was him and if his cover was blown and Dabi gets all dramatic and says he never trusted him from the beginning, which makes you wonder why Dabi brought him in in the first place but whatever.

Hawks starts thinking about how fucked he is and that he'll have to move Twice so he can kill him in peace, but then Twice wakes up.

Twice yells at Dabi to burn Hawks to a crisp which of course Dabi obliges, shooting a wall of fire at morally grey best bird boi. Dabi gives Twice a little pep talk about how he can get rid of all these heroes singlehandedly and the two of them high five each other as Twice goes to wreak havoc on the world.

But Hawks isn't the kinda guy to be scare of a little fire. He works with Endeavour for God's sake.

Oh no!!!

The fact that Hawks can fly at all with his burnt ass wings is a miracle. Hawks is pretty fucking adamant about killing Twice. This is what his years of training and lack of childhood has been leading up to.

How the FUCK does Dabi know Hawks' real name? It was acceptable with Shouto cause the sports festival was a thing. It was kinda believable with Endeavour cause No. 1 Hero and also he has a family and shit. But as far as I know, no one in cannon knows Hawks' real name beside the Hero Commission. So... HOW???

(I swear if it comes out that Touya and Hawks somehow knew each other as kids I-)

Horikoshi has some pretty big balls to be posing the question we are all dying to have answered only to... not answer it. He's just fucking with us at this point and I don't know how I feel about that.

Anyway, we get a panel of Twice telling himself to protect his friends and that he can't betray the kindness they've shown him, and I find myself thinking, not for the first time, that Twice would've made an excellent hero because Hawks is right. Twice is a genuinely nice person and it sucks he ended up turning to villainy.

Right so Twice makes two clones. One jumps of the balcony, presumably to go help Toga and Compress, and the other is turned to goo by Hawks' feathers.

Twice starts narrating about how much his life sucks as Hawks jumps through the flame behind him while armed with his feather sword. I don't like where this is going.

Then we get a panel of the fighting between the heroes and the villains and we can see someone falling over the balcony followed by blood splatter and... a napkin?

(Edit: I'm an idiot it's supposed to Toga's handkerchief)

We then cut to Toga and Compress who are not having fun time right now. A hero with giant snakes coming out of his arms has them captured

This bitch really just said Itadakimasu I'm done.

What does Compress mean by "skill"? Is he talking about that thing she did to Deku during the provisional licence arc? When she was pretending to be Camie? To be honest I forgot she could do that up until now.

The hero is ranting about how this is the end for the LoV only to cut off by Twice stabing (?) him in the back of the head with something.

Toga and Compress start to celebrate because if Twice is here then the tides are in their favour, but something about him seems off.

So... Hawks pushed him off the balcony? Or is he referring to the clone. I'm so confused right now. Either way, that's one hell of a fall.

(Edit: When Twice said he was "back-stabbed by Hawks" I thought he ment metaphorically cause that's what happened. Then I read the manga again and realised he meant he was literally back-stabbed by Hawks. OG Twice is dead/dying, that's why this clone can't hold himself together.)

This gives the title of this chapter a whole new fucking meaning.

It is incredibly easy to forget these fuckers are trying destroy Japan and murder countless innocent people in this arc. Horikoshi you talented fuck. I can't believe you've done this. Shit. I'm not fucking crying you are.

I can't imagine the LoV is gonna take this very well. I'm not taking this well and I'm rooting for the heroes. I don't think Hawks is gonna survive this, but I do think he'll find out who Dabi is before he kicks the bucket. Horikoshi's probably not gonna show the identity reveal tho, the little fucking tease he is. Feeding off our misery and frustration like a fucking succubus feeds off sex.

God I love this series.

You know Twice dying at some point within the series never would have been surprising for me, but expecting it doesn't make it hurt any less. The first few days after finding out, I couldn't even look at pictures of Hawks or Twice without feeling sick. That's why I am just now posting this.

Rough translation of the final panels of the new chapter. I’m so scared for Twice it legitimately looks like he died. In the last panel we have with the real Twice fighting Hawks and Dabi he looks like this:

That looks like a killing shot to me. His clone that helped Toga and Compress starts melting out of nowhere too, we can see here

Compress is saying “why!!” Clearly there was no reason that the clone should be falling apart, which means it has to be related back to the original Twice. A lot of people are hoping that he just got knocked out, but then again that didn’t look like the kind of hit that knocks someone out from Hawks. Blade down like that, those feathers cut through Noumu like it was nothing. I legitimately think Hawks might’ve killed Twice.

GUYS I JUST HAD A REALLY FUCKED UP THOUGHT.

What if Toga has some of Twice's blood on standby? No wait don't leave hEAR ME OUT.

So Twice is dead right? Toga's all heartbroken about it and wants revenge and shit. So what does she do? She turns into Twice. This would obviously be bad since Toga can use the quirks of whoever she turned in to. She could create an army of Twices. I don't know if the clones will stay after her quirk wears off but it would be enough to cause some damage.

Anyway those are just my thoughts.
