Hari Kurono General Headcanons

I sort of remember a HC post or a fic or something where Hari was a fan of night clubs, and for some reason it kinda stuck with me so it’s a part of him now

He’s absolutely used his quirk to slow down cars passing as he’s crossing the street. Especially if he had Eri with him

I feel like he didn’t actually like or support Overhaul’s plans, or at least the part where they had to experiment on a child, but felt like he couldn’t oppose his friend/leader for fear of being killed 

Going off that, it’s likely that Overhaul convinced him it was the “only way” and there were no other options, so he ran with it

Fashion sense is a mix of techno wear and grunge

Unironically thinks that plague masks are top tier fashion and wears his even outside the base 

Often uses his quirk on his coworkers when he wants some damn peace and quiet

Avid video gamer

More often than not he hides away in his office to “do work”, but really he’s playing on his Switch

Even though Eri had her own caretakers, he’d often hang out with her now and then to play video games with her, or lend her some of his older handheld consoles 

Slav squats whenever he gets the chance

Never sits on a chair or couch correctly. He either sits on the arm rest, sits with a chair backwards, drapes himself across the couch, etc

One time, when he was feeling bold, he purposefully sat on the back couch cushions just to piss Overhaul off

Overhaul has given up forcing him to sit correctly during meetings with other gangs, has been banned from sitting during said meetings, and now must stand the entire time

Probably a crack theory, but I think Kurono lived in the same orphanage as Chisaki.

According to the My Hero Academia Easy Illustration Guide, Kurono is said to be Chisaki’s confidant since childhood. They could have met at the orphanage and escaped together, both ending up in the Hassaikai.

Kurono is shown to be close to Chisaki. He assists with Chisaki’s experiments on Eri and witnessed Chisaki putting Pops into a coma. We don’t see how he reacts, but he doesn’t appear to fearful of Chisaki or against experimenting on Eri. Maybe he was exposed to Garaki’s experiments as a child?

Furthermore, Kurono failed Chisaki in two separate occasions… and lived. He missed his shot against Shigaraki, causing Chisaki to use another member as a shield against Shigaraki’s Decay…

…and then, during the fight with Lemillion, Kurono was knocked unconscious and flung at Chisaki. Chisaki used Overhaul to heal the damage to his head. Yet, when Nemoto gets knocked out, Chisaki uses Overhaul to merge with him.

Chisaki is determined to do whatever and use whoever to complete his goal, Kurono admits this. However, he did none of that to Kurono. The worst things Chisaki’s done to him, is called Kurono a “fool” and boss him around.

If Kurono and Chisaki did meet at the orphanage, it would explain Chisaki’s treatment towards Kurono and via verse. Either that, or Chisaki just needed someone to carry Eri for him.

Anyway-

Not a man to grown much pimples, just one or two every now at then.

But no. He won't let you pop them.

Proclaiming it hurts as hell and that you're a freacking sadistic for wanting to do this with him.

Which is ironic since this bitch is constantly hurting himself-

One day you finally get to pop a pimple of his which was on the healthy part of his back.

The usual stoic Dabi actually shrieked when you felt your nails doing that.

Man felt betrayed and now he is coming to pinch your ass as his revenge.

Would be rare for this ass to grown a pimple on anywhere to be honest.

He takes care of skin very well and due to genetics (maybe?) He didn't had one pimple. Not even on his teenage years.

But alas, to make this hcs work, miracles happen.

Grew a pimple on the middle of his fucking forehead.

Was mortified because ew germs and pus filled Ball on his skin.

Knows very well he can't pop it. But not his partner apparently.

Threatened you to overhaul you if you even stepped closer to him with those filled germs nails of yours.

After countless bitterness he just gives up and allows you in one condition, which is to wash your hands perfectly.

Didn't had much of a reaction really. Just squeezed his eyes close with a hiss and soon grabbed something to wiped his forehead.

Man actually prayed for this to never happen again.

Was funny to see Overhaul with a huge red mark in the middle of his forehead though-

Another one with perfect porcelain skin which makes you jealous of even.

But again, miracles happen in favor of this hcs.

Grew a pimple on his chin.

Didn't even blinked before accepting your offer to pop it.

Actually is annoyed with the bump on his chin so yeah, he almost begs you to poo it before himself does it..

Keeps muttering low and sarcastics 'ow' until you finally pop the pus filled bubble out of his chin.

For some reason he keeps scratching the place where the pimple was...? He doesn't know why he does this either, it just bothers him.

Actually does have some pimples every now at then, but not on his face.

They grow on his shoulder which he immediately curses at it when he feels it either by laying down or when his feathers sense it.

He hides the pimples from you. Hawks knows damn well of this obsession but hell nah, he is not having it.

Much like Dabi, he says it hurts like a bitch while running away from you.

Also keeps giving you the "it will heal itself!' Talk until you give up on pestering about the issue.

Is he wrong about this? No, no he isn't.

But you still want to pop it. So you will POP THE PIMPLE.

You finally managed to convince him one day while cuddling. Him on top of you shirtless (bless you, you went to have heaven)

No jokes. He kept whinning until the pimple was out and when you cleaned he called you a meanie.

Maybe because he was sleepy due to patrols, but he was still annoyed at you.

Good luck trying to do this again though, he is a tough cookie.

I'm sorry Shigaraki stans but I just can't see this man without having acne at least once on his life.

And due to his scratching abbit you won't even be the first to pop a pimple of his.

Actually I see you the one to reprimand him for popping them.

But alright,

He doesn't care honestly.

He pops it, so why he won't let you do it?

And he is so used to it that he doesn't even express any emotion when you pop the thing really.

He just wipes it off with the back of his hand and goes back to what he was doing.

y'all remember chronostasis right?? the guy from shie hassaikai?? yeah, well, I was on my daily search of edgeshot content -because I adore him- and using google lens on a screenshot of him DO YOU KNOW WHO APPEARED INSTEAD? MF CHRONOSTASIS. and the second my eyes spotted him I came to the realization of how similar they were, PLEASE LOOK AT THEM

like, no shit sherlock I'm not blind and neither are all of you, I KNOW you see the similarity and it's almost RIDICULOUS

and you know what? I'm not done, I have a ton more to say.

say what you say but in less than a minute I made a theory that these two are related by blood. first of all, their appearances, they are almost identical and secondly, their quirks are similar to a point.

Edgeshot's quirk: Foldabody. "Allows him to make his body and limbs extremely thin and long, effectively allowing him to transform himself into a razor-sharp string. (...)" (Shinya Kamihara Wiki)

Chronostasis' quirk: Chronostasis. "(...) Allows him to slow down the movements of anything he hits with his clock hand-like hair. The minute hands slows a targets movements for one minute and the hour hand slows a targets movements for one hour. Hari can extend his hair, but only if he is not moving." (Hari Kurono Wiki)

Edgeshot can control any part of his body and make it as thin as he wishes and Chronostasis can slow his contrincants down by hitting them with his hair. Their quirks revolve around using their/part of their bodies, I don't know about y'all but I do see the similarity.

I believe they're cousins, we don't know about Edgeshot's parents (none of the pro heroes' actually) but imagine his uncle/aunt are Chronostasis parents.

Ngl I've mistaken Kurono with Edgeshot in Kurono's fanart 😭. Anyways that's all I've got, here's my proof

-Magne: So her goal is to try and be cool about everything. She doesn't want to ever be seen as the parent that constricts her child's life choices. She's always been cool with her daughter and the two of them have that mother-daughter relationship where it feels like they're friends. However, Magne is a little concerned about her kid dating Mustard. I mean, he's got not too many proper attributes as a young man should have. She knows she's never been a saint but she's always tried to be a positive role model for her daughter. It's probably going to take her some time to adjust to everything really. She'll allow it but she's got her eye on him...

-Dabi: He could care less. Actually he's really chill about it. It doesn't matter to him since he knows you don't always choose who you fall in love with. That's true in his case or otherwise his daughter wouldn't even exist. So if it's alright with mom and her, then it's alright with him too. Now that being said, he's still protective of his kid. If Mustard were to ever harm her so much as a hair on her head in a way she didn't like, then he'd be fucking toast. Trust me, Dabi is not the kind of father you want to play games with when it comes to protecting his baby.

-Shigaraki: You've got to give him some time to think about it. He's also really protective over his kid but still relaxed at the same time. Where Dabi didn't give a warning speech to Mustard and is waiting for the kid to slip up, Tomura will give the speech. It would probably be the most menacing thing that Mustard has heard in a very long time. Seriously, that boy usually doesn't feel scared of anyone but Shigaraki is a different story. His daughter probably felt like Mustard didn't like her very much after their first date. When Tomura asks why, she just replies "He was really distant with me and he treated me like I was glass, like I would break if he got too close." Tomura just smiles to himself.

-Overhaul: What date? What do you mean date? Boyfriend? Oh no, none of that. His kid is the most sheltered of all. There's going to be a lot of rebellion and a lot of arguments in his house. His poor daughter is barely allowed to have male friends to begin with. What makes you think Kai is going to approve of a whole ass boyfriend. Not only that, but the boyfriend is someone like Mustard too? Oh hell no. I doubt any of that will go well in the long run. Eventually he does give up...years down the damn line when his daughter is an adult and Muscular proposes to her. He reluctantly gives his blessing but in his eyes that's still his little baby girl and nothing will change that.

-Chronostasis: Fuck it why not? As long as the two kids are in love then what does he have to say about anything right? He's really chill. He's even went and compared his guns to Mustards as well. The two seem to get along and Mustard knows not to cross any boundaries to fuck up his relationship with his future father in law. Hari is the best dad, always knowing just when to put his foot down and when to let things roll. 10/10 dad score.

-(and I've decided to add Compress): Says he's okay with it but he really isn't. He's rather embarrassing, even going out of his way to follow his daughter and Mustard on dates while dressed in disguise. He's that annoying life 360 parent that keeps tabs on all his Daughter's locations and whatnot. He's extremely protective and always worried about the wrong thing happening. It's funny since his wife is the complete opposite. I think without her there, he would've melted down long ago. Don't worry though. He hasn't embarrassed Mustard away from dating his daughter. Lucky for her that Mustard can tolerate the old man lol.
