oops yeah please share the story I am in dire need of your webweaving

Sorry this is so late, I was struck immediately and viciously by the wrath of god (and sedatives), so needless to say i was away from my computer

anyway so . the setting is: bnha roleplay server. let me introduce our cast

we have ME, 18, playing Monoma

we have the Bakugou and Shinsou roleplayers, who are a couple also. They are also the server mods. Notably, all three of us are some kinda gay-guy-adjacent-moment

you have Snow, 19, playing Kaminari and Summer, 20-something, playing Kirishima. Snow was ace/agender/aro and summer was identifying as cis bihet

SETTING THE SCENE.

I, unaware of summer identifying unironically as like, biromantic heterosexual, had accidentally started a fight about microlabels in the discourse channel, which ended in her refusing to speak to me further on the topic because she "couldnt control herself from hurting me", which were big words from someone i was not scared of in any way, but slay.

Regardless, the server moved forward.

Kirishima was, in this setting, a gay guy. I'm pretty sure he also had lesbian moms. Summer decided to take the exciting "discovering your identity" approach, despite confiding in us that she really didn't come out until well into adulthood, but one is not limited to live experience in the world of fiction, yeah? however, i think some people should be.

anticipation builds in the ooc chat. monoma makes an off-hand comment about being gay. kirishima asks, "what's that?"

we are aghast. this continues. not only does imaginary gay kirishima not know what gay is, he doesnt know what lgbt stands for. when a comment is made that he could google it, a joke about it all being inappropriate images is dropped. the homophobia is beginning to stink. however i have promised i would not get into more fights (liar) so me and the shinsou and bakugou rpers are just like, ribbing at it a little in the ooc chat. like, "man, i wish i was this sheltered growing up, maybe i wouldnt have been bullied in school" or something to that effect, which summer takes very personally and adamantly defends her right to imagine a world where it is in any way realistic for a sixteen year old who is gay and has gay moms to be this stupid.

but nonetheless, the in character chat goes on. kirishima is still getting hooked on phonics style sexuality. and then kaminari decides to whip out a chart. which chart?

needlessly to say, we were baffled. surely no one believes this is how anything works, yes?

the vilification of hypersexuality (medical symptom, often of trauma). the bizarre insistence on carefully organizing every aspect of attraction on a gradient. its such a fascinating little piece of bullfucker, but furthermore,

in a world in which the LGBT acronym is too hard for someone to grasp, im supposed to believe he just clicks with Sexuality Battleship??? I'm a professional faggot and this thing confuses me.

It was such beautiful insight into their minds. A world in which one can skip all the annoying gay people parts of sexuality labels and instead dive right into the microcosms of what was solely relevant to them. it also fantastically predicted the future homophobia i would be subject to, including a line about how "gay people had enough and wouldnt stop stealing ace rep" about the magnus archives, and also the todoroki conversion therapy moment, but this was really just a truly incredible appetizer to the full course of dumb fuckery.

BnHA Chapter 340: Now Where Were We

Previously on BnHA: Deku and Iida were all “hey Mei, I know you don’t have a lot of spare time in between constantly launching yourself at people boob-first, and singlehandedly MacGuyvering U.A. into the fucking Death Star, but we were wondering if you could lend us a hand in fixing our costumes.” Mei was all, “sure thing, here’s an upgraded pair of Movie 1 Gloves for you, anyways off you go and have fun saving the world!” Mt. Lady was all, “can you kids keep a secret?? so uh, just between you and me, I’m not a real teacher, and I’m not actually sure what I’m doing here hanging out with you guys right now.” Class 1-A was all, “don’t worry, your secret is safe with us Mt. Lady, well anyways time to assemble our CLASS 1-A SEARCH SQUAD!” The chapter ended with A BUNCH OF DIFFERENT PEOPLE getting ready to DO and/or TALK about A BUNCH OF DIFFERENT THINGS. Classic cliffhanger ending. lol this chapter really did not hold up on a re-read. I’m so sorry BnHA 339. You meandered so that future chapters could hopefully get to the damn point already.

Today on BnHA: All Might is all “time to reveal our shocking and completely unpredictable battle plan of splitting up all the villains for more easily digestible mini-boss battles, using our newly acquired trump card, the handy dandy U.A. traitor!” Aizawa is all, “[cracks knuckles] time to drop some motherfucking love and compassion onto my traumatized student in order to talk him into doing this INSANELY DANGEROUS TASK for us, except that somehow I manage to do it in a way that’s genuinely moving and heartfelt and somehow not manipulative at all lol.” Shinsou is all, “hello, it’s me, making my miraculous return after three whole years of plot inactivity, so anyway what have I missed.” Well shit. Glad I’m not the only one, Shinsou.

(just a handful of quick notes here since it’s been a while! (1) as always, these are my completely blind first-time-reading reactions to the chapter. (2) as of today, I am very much NOT caught up with the manga, but will keep you posted on my progress. currently I have read up to chapter 340, a.k.a. this chapter right here lol. and (3), I have been spoiled about one major thing (explained more in depth here) which will happen later in the series, and while there are no detailed references to said spoiler in this post, there ARE a couple of vague throwaway lines because I have absolutely no self-control. so just giving you guys a heads up for that! if you absolutely don’t want to risk getting spoiled, I would highly recommend catching up with the manga first before reading any further.

WHAT A THRILLING WAY TO KICK OFF MY FIRST NEW CHAPTER OF BNHA IN ELEVEN MONTHS. TRULY HIT THE GROUND RUNNING

lol they literally just thumbtacked a handwritten “LOV/PLF COUNTER-FORCE HQ” sign on a wrinkled piece of paper next to the door. how far we have fallen from the days where the heroes were holding their war councils in huge NASA ground control rooms filled with hundreds of TV screens

okay good, at least they went out and recruited Hawks to be one of the people presumably planning this whole thing

one of only two people (the other being Momo) whom I actually trust to be able to come up with a reliably smart plan. fingers crossed this turns out better than his last big Ultimate Hero Final Battle Plan, though!

interesting! I assume they do still know about the whole Aoyama situation though, seeing as they even told Mt. flippin’ Lady lol

I’m actually on the fence about this lol. I mean, it makes sense on paper. lord knows they had enough trouble taking on just one massively overpowered final villain, so who even knows what would happen if they added a second one to the mix

but the problem with the “just take them down separately” plan is that it means they’ll also have to split up their OWN forces, which are already heavily depleted. not to mention that the BnHA heroes are always at their best when they’re all fighting together. so anyways, yeah, I’m not too sure about this

so blah blah blah, Tomura is now stronger than crusty!potato!AFO, big surprise. and they’ve also figured out that the two AFOs can communicate with each other via radio waves or whatever. okay yeah, but doesn’t that mean that even if you do split them up, they’ll still have a big advantage? unless you figured out some way of jamming their telepathy somehow

“should they attack together, we have no hope of victory” lol if you say so. I’m pretty sure all of the U.A. kids combined with all of the remaining A-list heroes could hold their ground fairly well, but clearly I’m not supposed to be questioning the authority of this statement so ALL RIGHT THEN

talk about ironic though. because to me, that’s a sentiment that basically confirms that he does have the heart of a hero deep down. I’m telling you guys, every single time you show me a character who is flawed and afraid, but is trying so hard to overcome their fears, and trying with all their might to become better, you will reel me in hook, line, and sinker every. single. time. seriously, how could you possibly not root for this kid now

Yuuga’s fear as he tries to talk himself into what he fully believes is a suicide mission. Aizawa’s blunt assessment of the heroes being no less ruthless than the villains when their backs are to the wall. but then the way he just HITS him with that “you’re still my student and I’m still your teacher” line, and how he says it with such finality. and then the face Aoyama makes in response!!

well damn. that hype and anticipation is definitely starting to build now. I am so damn fearful for all of these fictional kids’ safety, especially now that I’m watching the War arc play out again in the anime and remembering just how brutal it was. but at the same time I can’t deny that I’m super excited to see the culmination of everything. like, this is IT, though. this is THE moment, THE battle. no more safety arcs. no more training. we are done holding back, and that is as terrifying as it is exhilarating. I am so not ready for any of this, but IT IS HAPPENING WHETHER I LIKE IT OR NOT, so I guess I’ll just do my best to enjoy the ride

Canon EraserMic

Okay, so it’s gonna be interesting to see how people react to this, but with this being one of the most popular ships in BNHA, I decided to go back and look at the canon relationship between these two.

No images as I’ve heard they mess with mobile users, however, if my followers prefer it, let me know, and I'll add them in future posts.

So, summary first;

Aizawa and Hizashi met in school through their mutual friend Oboro. Mic—seeing the shy boy—decided it was his job to loosen him up. They became friends and ended up in a trio. They were all close enough that the three made plans to open an agency together one day. However, that dream fell apart when Oboro died during a villain attack in his school years. Despite Aizawa pulling away from everybody, Hizashi remained at his side loyally, even when all he could do was just be there. After graduation, Aizawa threw himself into work but kept close enough contact with Mic that the two were always kept to date on each other’s status.

Eventually, they came to work at U.A. together as teachers, where Hizashi continues to support Aizawa to the present.

So, where to begin?

At first glance, these two are opposites; Mic is energetic, wild, loud, and wants to add fun to all that he does. Aizawa is a man who tends to brood, sleep when he can, and keep to himself while pretending to be rational.

Despite that, it’s easy to see that these two are friends. Aside from the fact that they’re always together—90% of Mic’s scenes are with Aizawa, or concerning Aizawa—the two share a fun banter with one another, play pranks on each other, feel at ease in the other’s presence, and usually offers support whenever the other needs it (one more than the other, but I’ll get to that). And—believe it or not—the two do have a few things in common.

Both are trolls who like to tease others, though Mic does this more and louder. They’re both protective and supportive of the ones they love (Aizawa of his students and Hizashi of Aizawa). And they like cats.

They banter a lot and even argue, but it never comes off as malicious or cruel. It's more like an old married couple. They’ve known each other for years and it shows in even their smallest interactions.

It’s difficult to explain, but there’s a reason it’s one of the most popular pairings in BNHA, to the point where it’s the main background couple in fanfics when it’s not the main couple. So does that mean their friendship is perfect? Sorry, but no.

There are a few minor flaws, but nothing worth mentioning, and one big flaw;

Mainly that there’s a huge imbalance in the emotional labor. Namely, Aizawa does none of it.

Hizashi does all the work in their relationship, emotional and physical. HE’S the one always reaching out to Aizawa and made sure to keep contact, as otherwise, Aizawa would have completely pulled away. I mean it, so far in the main series, the vigilante spin-off, and school briefs, Aizawa has only reached out to Mic once in the entire series, ONCE. And that was when he said that if “Mic’s going, he will too.” That’s honestly all I could find. And even then that could be read as him doing it more for Oboro’s sake than Mic’s. Okay, if I want to stretch it, he did have the students carry Mic out of a doorway after they obliterated him, but my point stands.

Mic on the other hand—as I said—is always reaching out to Aizawa.

He invites him to hang out, keeps him updated on his life, takes an interest in Aizawa’s, and supports him non-stop. Even in small things, like when people criticize Aizawa for expelling students, Hizashi always takes Aizawa’s side.

But the biggest thing he does is all the emotional labor. Hizashi does everything he can to take care of Aizawa’s emotional needs, whether it’s having others give him space, just being there, or even sacrificing his own needs. We see this both times with Oboro.

The first is after Oboro’s death. Hizashi is so devastated that he can’t even speak, but then laser-eyes starts talking and completely misses the fact that THEIR FRIEND DIED. Laser eyes doesn’t mean anything and in fact, means well—something Hizashi can see—but he knows that’s not what he needs right now. So, he immediately locks his feelings away and focuses on Aizawa.

Now, don’t think I’m blaming Aizawa for ANY of this, because I get it. Aizawa was traumatized after Oboro’s death. Pulling away was a defense mechanism to save himself more pain. And when Hizashi does try to reach out it’s never a good time as Aizawa has to take care of his students. (That and Aizawa just isn’t ready to confront his feeling.)

I’ll also say that it appears that Hizashi doesn’t need as much support as Aizawa as Hizashi seems perfectly fine. He’s always laughing, and smiling, and is easily able to balance three jobs. Therefore it’s reasonable to assume that Aizawa doesn’t realize Hizashi needs support at times as well. And to continue being fair, Hizashi doesn’t, not often anyway.

After Oboro died he had to force himself to keep himself together to take care of his best friend who all but fell apart. He didn’t have the luxury of falling apart or into depression, not if he wanted to keep his friend. He had to pull himself together emotionally, he had to move on and live his life without Oboro. He forced himself to heal, as I explained in depth here.

That’s probably why Mic is the most logical of the pair as he’s had to put aside his emotions for years to protect Aizawa.

A good thing though is that Hizashi’s work did pay off. Despite the snarky comments Aizawa makes, it is obvious that he has complete faith in Hizashi. We see this in how he trusted Hizashi to capture the doctor they needed to save Oboro. A smaller moment though is before that, on the way to see Kurogiri for the first time. Aizawa is emotionally wrecked and reaches out subtly for Hizashi to offer comfort.

There’s also the fact that Aizawa does genuinely feel relaxed in Hizashi’s presence. At Tartarus, Hizashi was able to calm Aizawa down, despite both being upset. There’s another scene in School Briefs where Aizawa—in his very Aizawa way—is shy and uncomfortable around All Might. (Not in a bad way, just a, “I don’t know what to do” way). The moment Hizashi shows up, however, Aizawa instantly relaxes and is put at ease. (Shame he’s already drunk by that point.)

In their school days, he seemed to admire Hizashi, who was Jack of trades. Even now, Aizawa respects Mic’s skills, though he spends most of his time reminding Hizashi to do his job right and not show favoritism. (Hypocrite.)

I will also say that his “rejection” of Hizashi is never cruel. He doesn’t like hanging in crowds like Hizashi does and doesn’t like the hangovers that come the next day, so it makes sense that he wouldn’t want to go out drinking. Because he works so much he’d rather spend his breaks sleeping. (Plus, his quirk tires his eyes out, something I sympathize with.) And I already stated why he can’t help Hizashi out emotionally.

So, while he doesn’t always show it or return the labor Hizashi puts in, it’s clear that Aizawa appreciates Hizashi and his efforts. And though he’s too much of tsundere to ever admit it, Shouta does care about Hizashi.

When thinking about the people he wants to protect, the ones Aizawa thinks of are Oboro AND Hizashi. Plus, Aizawa lets himself be dragged places by Hizashi. (The man brawls with villains larger than him daily, I think he could escape Hizashi if he wanted.) And even though Aizawa makes no secret he doesn’t want to be at gatherings, he doesn’t do anything to ruin anyone’s fun. He doesn't even try to leave, save a few feeble attempts. He’s not happy and finds hanging out a waste of time, but he participates to make Hizashi happy.

Conclusion;

Despite the definite slant in their relationship in canon, it is blatantly clear that these two are close, even though they’re polar opposites. I wish both sides were explored more, and we got to see Aizawa return the care Hizashi gives him, but all in all, I love them. In my opinion, their friendship is one of the better parts of BNHA.

Ok, I’m Invested now so do you have any headcannons as to what the UA students think about aizawa having overhaul with him? (I guess they’d have graduated by now if your AU is set in the future but I mean the current class- ig they just kept in contact with him or something-) also does kai feel like he can relate to aizawa a bit since he lost his arms and aizawa lost a leg, both the work of Shigaraki? That’s..probably a spoiler you should probably tag…also going off that, does overhaul get protective of aizawa if they’re around shigaraki for whatever reason?

So, this is an AU where the whole final war arc never actually happened--the League was apprehended before that. There's no Tartarus prison break, no AFO taking over Shiggy's body, none of that (I'm pretty fuzzy on what happens after the Overhaul arc, never watched that far, except for the manga chapters where Nagant is Onscreen and Being Cool), so I don't think Aizawa would have lost an leg in this AU. However, if he had, he and Kai would ABSOLUTELY bond over that--phantom pains, adjusting to a different limb than what there was before, how painful putting in the prosthetic might have been. It's also possible that Aizawa would have balance issues with a prosthetic leg (source: I have an uncle with a prosthetic leg so I know some things but not everything), especially near the beginning where he's still getting used to it. This also happens about 2 years after canon, so the teens are now 3rd years.

(Don't worry about giving me spoilers, though, I Do Not Care about getting spoilers for BnHA.)

Also, you're so right, Chisaki would absolutely be protective of Aizawa while Shiggy's around, although that doesn't really happen often. (The HPSC put down a bunch of restrictive bullshit rules (because, you know, the HPSC doesn't actually want this pilot program to succeed)).

As for the first part of your ask: The HPSC gave Aizawa (and All Might with Shiggy and Endeavor with Dabi) three months to rehabilitate their respective villains, and put down a bunch of rules, including that each villain couldn't leave wherever they were staying. So legally Chisaki can't leave Aizawa's apartment, Shigaraki can't leave Might Tower (or wherever), and Dabi can't leave the Todoroki estate--except that the HPSC can't exactly put cameras in any of those locations, given how powerful All Might, Endeavor, and UA are, so they manage to get around it. (Hell, in Dabi's case, Fuyumi decides to finally up and leave and takes Dabi with her so that he's not actually in the same house as him, and Endeavor allows it as long as Fuyumi reports back to him so he's not empty-handed when the HPSC drops by.) So Nezu gives Aizawa a couple of weeks off to care for the newly-released Chisaki, who's in really bad shape, and Class 3A gets an emergency sub for a bit. Unfortunately, because the HPSC is made up of assholes, Aizawa's still expected to do his usual hero rounds, so even getting to take his teaching job off he still has to leave Chisaki alone for hours at a time, which seriously scares him at the beginning.

So, you know, it's several weeks--over a month--before Class 3A gets Aizawa back and to meet the infamous sociopath known as Overhaul. When they do meet him, though, it's kind of underwhelming. He's brought to the dorms so that Aizawa can watch over him and his class at the same time, which is technically illegal but Nezu can and will absolutely cover for him, so Chisaki's kind of just hanging out in Aizawa's office, where it's quieter and there are fewer chaotic teenagers to bother him. They knew about what Aizawa was doing and why he had to stop teaching for a bit, but they're morbidly curious about a big bad villain Chisaki was introduced to the class at the beginning of the night, but it's up to each class member to sneak past Aizawa and introduce themselves individually.

Deku's the first. He's had a couple big knocks to his confidence in the hero system (and several hundred small ones) since the Hassaikai raid, and since Mama Midoriya adopted Eri officially after she got control of her Quirk he knows a lot more about Overhaul than he ever really wanted to know. Because of all that he's less prone to snap judgements. He doesn't exactly like Overhaul, but he's less likely to attack him with very little evidence that he's actually doing something wrong, especially given the horrors he's heard about Tartarus committing, and he's in the middle of reevaluating his view of the hero system and whether or not he even wants to be a hero anymore. The encounter is super tense and leaves both of them in a bad mood, but it does give Deku valuable information and miraculously doesn't break out into a fight.

The next one is Shouto, who was at the trial where it was determined that both Pops and Eri's mother were unfit guardians, and has been in contact with Dabi directly and through Fuyumi for the past month and a half (or something like that, I don't have the timeline 100% down). (Deku also tells him and the rest of his friend group and Katsuki all about everything Eri tells him about Overhaul, so there's that too.) Shouto wants to know if Chisaki's like his older brother and why he did the things he did. He's really blunt, but he's not aggressive or judgemental, and Kai--being the exact same way--responds pretty well to him because they're both autistic af. Katsuki and Hitoshi, who are both dating Shouto as well as each other, also sneak in once they realize Shouto's in there. That conversation is less tense than the one with Deku, but it's still kind of tense because of the subject material and because Katsuki's there. At one point Kai mentions that Nemoto Shin had been interested in Hitoshi when he saw him in the Sports Festival, as a fellow 'dangerous' psychic voice-activated Quirk haver, to which Hitoshi replies that actually Nemoto Shin is Shinsou Yuuma, his long-lost uncle/second-cousin-once-removed, and his family is making a concerted effort to get him out of prison.

And of course Yaomomo gathers her courage to talk to Chisaki Kai by herself, since she's curious about the most similar Quirk to Creation she's ever heard of outside her family. She quickly becomes Kai's favorite of the class, and they get really deep into technical details and ideas for using both of their Quirks--weapons, support materials, everyday uses. Kai gives her chemical formulas for all sorts of poisons and drugs, as many as he can remember. Yaomomo quizzes him on how he used to Overhaul human bodies so well (although his prosthetics interfere with precise Quirk use). They both speculate on exactly what the fuck Midnight's sleeping gas is. They get so into it, actually, that Aizawa actually catches them, and gently reminds Yaomomo that she has far less of a legal defense than Midnight if she violates the Geneva Conventions by using poison gas on criminals before kicking her out of his office.

Legally, of course, none of these conversations ever happen, nor do the ones with any of the other morbidly curious teenagers with a deeply fucked up sense of danger (looking at Ochako, Tsuyu, Ejirou, Hanta, Fumikage, Kyouka, and probably several others), since legally Kai's not even supposed to be there. (Shouta already knew that they'd try to talk to him, because he's had 2 1/2 years to get familiar with his hell class, and he's made peace with it.)

By the end of the night, Kai's exhausted from so much conversation with strangers (although Shouta did warn him), so he ends up asleep in Shouta's office while Shouta works. Shouta takes it as a sign that, despite it all, Kai's learned to trust him. It's a good sign.

Donnie was abruptly pulled from his thoughts at the sound of rustling below. He watched in confusion as three purple hooded figures quickly made their way through the courtyard. Not a care in the world. To say he was baffled was an understatement. The figures' sudden charge came out of nowhere and he was certain the guards they had just accosted were just as startled as he was. It was an interesting tactic that’s for sure.

A long form fic I had started about fantasy au Donnie before the main storyline where he was on his own and met that au's version of the Purple Dragons. I dont think I'll come back to it anytime soon so at this point I've dropped it.

Ohhhhh now this is a can of worms! Thank you for asking <3 Well... okay so here it is: my very first bnha fic idea might never get written. Or if it does, then it is going to be so far in the future that I think its okay to talk about here.

Anyway, I've always wanted to write a fic where there aren't just hero academies, but villain academies as well. Only, obviously those villain academies are super secret lol. I just like the idea that the Hero Commission really is just in it for the money, and I like the idea that they maybe pay some villains to cause a little mayhem... just to keep it interesting for the heroes, and to keep fans buying their shit. So naturally, this evolved into the idea that some villains are legit just paid actors.

The idea was that Deku goes to a "villain academy" only that he thinks he's signing up for some new and barrier-breaking hero academy. Then, you know, he realizes that he and his friends are being severely manipulated, and that society is kind of fucked, and he becomes a real villain to put a stop to it.

Okay so I feel like I've stated this all super casually, but y'all. I have character lists for this fic. Drawings. An entire platoon of OCs. I have outlines. I basically have a(n unusable) first chapter. I have three playlists. I know how this fic would start, and I know how it would end. But it's just such a BIG idea that idk if it will ever actually happen.

To deal with the tragedy of this fic being too big for my present energy and free time, elements of this fic have made it into my other fics.

Surrender and something are one of the best bnha fics that I've read and something really blew me away because first of all, i'm not even a person who reads deku fics?

He is too much of a cutie for me and I want to just protect him rather than bf him and I want blame you and andypants for making me binge deku fics too (tho I'm thankful because without you two I would never come to appreciate the gems in the midoriya x reader tag).

But anyway, back to Todoroki, I look forward to what kind of reader we'll have in that future fic and all the potential angst. Thank you so so much again for writing the in another life series. 💜💜💜💜💜💜

The Readers for all three fics are, in a lot of ways, responses to how I read their particular canon character. It’ll be fun to roll out Shouto’s Reader; I have big plans. The jewellery Reader makes; the letters that get written and never sent. The best friends Reader’s fiercely loyal to. And in honour of Shouto’s biggest fangirl I’m giving Reader a love of fresh eating—so there’ll be lots of veggies, lmao.

Character I find most attractive: It would be expected of me to say JOE, and he is attractive, but I gotta give this spot to Nanako. In fact, also to Masae. Beautiful, caring women.

Character I would marry: I'd be down to marry... hmm... I'd marry Nanako in a heartbeat. Or Cherry.

Character I would be best friends with: Joe, hands down, Joe. We can get on Cherry's nerves together.

A random thought: Miki, the green haired chick from episode 2, I think she has the potential to be skater. I actually wrote a whole fic with this idea called "You're Lime Green Jell-O".

An unpopular opinion: Reki actually has some great fashion sense and I would wear his hoodies. I want every single color.

My Canon OTP: Okay, since it's not exactly stated if they are canon, I'm not going to say Renga, but I will say Nanako and Oliver. Because... 😭

My Non-canon OTP: But I will say Renga here.

Most Badass Character: REKI. Look, I don't care what anyone says, that kid was the first to ever humiliate Adam. His plan involving the rain was solid! He's also crafty, makes skateboards!! Like the other characters are badasses in their own right, but Reki's race with Adam in the rain? That took the cake for me.

Most Epic Villain: Hands down, Adam. He's easy to hate, but you gotta admit he is an interesting character.

Pairing I am not a fan of: I do not like Adam and Langa together.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Kiriko, I actually wanted to see more of her and her investigation of Adam. But I hope for her return in season 2.

Favourite Friendship: Love it romantically, but I also love Reki and Langa as friends, too. They just click so well!! I also love Joe being like a big bro to Reki.

Character I most identify with: Reki, yes, Reki. A lot of how he felt about himself was relatable to me and his personality is similar to my own. Also, big siblings. I am a big sibling, the eldest, and have siblings just about all three of his sisters' ages and it be like that.

Character I wish I could be: Sketchy. Seems to have a lot of fun.

SHINKAMI! 🐈⚡

When I started shipping them: Ooh, when did I... okay in my early days of being in the fandom. It's actually one of the first ships I started shipping due to what my first ship was. (I'll let you guess who was my first ship, and yes, still ship it.)

My thoughts: I just love this ship! First off, individually, I do adore both characters.

What makes me happy about them: I like that they are friends in canon. That there is that foundation of their relationship.

What makes me sad about them: I actually don't have anything really sad about them. I'm just happy the ship exists.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: Again, I really don't have anything here. I haven't actually read that much ShinKami fics enough to pick up on a recurring trait that may annoy me.

Things I look for in fanfic: I'm not really picky, to be honest. So I kind just explore when it comes to ShinKami.

My wishlist: I would love more interactions with them. Even just a single shot will do for me.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Okay, personally, for BNHA, I don't care for any ship to be canon. An ending doesn't need to have canon ships to be a good ending, that's just me. I don't hate the idea of ships being canon at the end though. But I don't mind Kamijiro, still a purple-yellow ship. For Shinsou? I actually don't have anybody. Maybe Midoriya, I like ShinDeku, too.

My happily ever after for them: See them partner up some more in the future.

How I feel about this character: That she deserves happiness and everything else she wants. She's adorable, she's precious, she's funny.

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: Damian and Becky

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: Gotta bring up Becky here again because her friendship with Becky is just too adorable. And I love Becky!

My unpopular opinion about this character: Hm, do I actually have one?? I don't think I do.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: There should be like those comedy segments, like shorts of Anya's antics with Bond, Becky, Damian and the other kids as guest stars.

Favorite friendship for this character: Again, Becky and I also adore her and Bond as pals! He's the best!!

When the whole fight scene is over and everyone save and shiggy decides to play video games with Deku and bkg just happens to tag along how do you think the three dynamic will be like cause I just imagine Deku just being exasperated with them both and he doesn’t even show annoyance that easily but the two of them combine may push him

Please tell me why I've thought this over in my head a thousand times before even receiving this ask, so it feels incredibly validating to see someone else thinking the same thing 💀

I see two different dynamics happening, and either or is ideal but I'll take both too:

Bakugo and Deku are both energetic teenagers so they're gonna be all uppity and shit and it's gonna be tiring for Shig to constantly deal with (even though he has fun anyway)

Bakugo and Shig are both way too intense and Deku is not gonna know how to handle it so he's just quiet and in the middle, watching them banter and hoping nothing gets blown up or turned to dust

Honestly I like the idea of Bakugo and Shig being Way Too Much™️ because really I feel like Shig hasn’t had a chance to show his excitement for things in general due to The Big Sad. So seeing him still being in character, but being different and excitable would just be 👌🏼. And him and Bakugo being just annoying enough for Deku to slightly drop his patient facade is hilarious to think about to me.

More realistically: Idk how much we'll see, and I do think we'll get little snippets into the "after" phase of things in the form of pictures of the future or what not (I picture it like the ending of FMA where everyone's futures are shown in photographs, and how that one season 4 BNHA ending theme had all the photos of peoples' pasts, I'd like that but for their futures at the very very end), but I'd love to see at least a PICTURE of the 3 of them all sitting on the floor in front of a TV playing a video game together. I feel like they deserve it.

I highkey loved clamp school detectives and clamp school defenders but i only had access to 2 books in a queensland library one afternoon, and have had to rely on my memory of it since.

So if you ever wanna rant/rave about either of them i will eagarly read it.

Also i was super excited when they picked up legal drug again (p sure legal drug was the reason my sister got into hello kitty).

oh holy shit! legal drug! i forgot about that. it's been a big while since i've read it, but i remember really enjoying that one. (and i think wish shopkeeper watanuki showed up in that one as well?? or was that just kobato? i think he showed up in kobato. either way it's always nice to see him)

i'm not actually amazing about putting thoughts into words tbh except that i,,, am tired of always talking about bnha no matter how much i love my fics for it. and i've always been super into anything clamp so just talking about it is fun, though i don't know much about what i'd say.

clamp school defenders is completely ridiculous and just. fun. it's a fun series. i enjoy it. maybe not quite as much as i enjoy other clamp works, but it is still dear to me.

clamp school detectives is also fun but somehow more. maybe it's the characters?? the trio is so iconic and it's fun to see them. i love nokoru so much and i'd give my life for him. i guess it's also pretty much a breath of fresh air to think about after spending so long reading x/1999. though i guess in relation to x/1999 you're of course forced to think about the fact that it's sest in the same universe, just in the future. and that's like (': oh. i guess the clamp school detectives are gonna die horribly then huh. fuck you clamp.

thankfully it went on hiatus i guess. i wouldn't want to see those three die. i do wonder about their dynamic as adults tho. like do suoh and nokoru know that akira is a phantom thief? is he still getting up to that? and what about duklyon? what are those guys doing in x/1999 when the world is ending? aliens were a thing in duklyon and that's so insane to think about in relation to the fact that this one universe is: duklyon, clamp school detectives, man of many faces, tokyo babylon, and x/1999 all wrapped up in one.

and actually! mentioning tokyo babylon. i need to bring up the fact that i swear i read somewhere that subaru attended the same class as the duklyon characters! like holy shit these guys were classmates. and i don't think subaru even knew that clamp campus was being taken over by aliens all the time.

like imagine x/1999 and imagine you're subaru and the worlds ending and imonoyama nokoru is hanging out with you guys a little bit because of that and he's like lmao remember when the school was being taken over by aliens everyday and you're like NO. and like. this is probably common knowledge. like,, imagine that everyone knows BUT subaru, because he was always busy. and you know it just makes me go a little crazy thinking about that. aliens technically exist in the x/1999-verse. of course they do.

idk if you've actually read x/1999 or tokyo babylon - my guess is no because you only mentioned the clamp school series and legal drug - but the implications of the clamp multiverse are far reaching.

Sure can! So, I’m heavily falling back into BNHA/MHA and thus a new idea spawned from the ashes of an old one. Dancing in the Dark will be an analyst Izuku/Vigilante Izuku fanfic, with a few OC’s I’m excited to introduce! (Like always 😆) It’s mostly crackish, as I’m mostly writing for vibes and have no idea if I plan to stick to a mildly canon timeline or just. Off the rails we go haha.

Something I want to write in the future, hmm…I think I want to do something in the “Rising of the Shield Hero” fandom? But I haven’t a grasp yet on how that fandom feels about OCs…or shipping canon characters with OCs…so very vague ideas there at the moment.

There’s also an original idea I want to do - a few of them. One is I want to write a bunch of “Where Were You” fics for The Lost City cast. I want to write where exactly they were when the apocalypse came to a head, like where Dr. Ender was or what Erik was doing. There’s also a Surefire Camp snippet for Halloween I want to finish up, it’s almost done but needs fine tuning. And I really want to do some worldbuilding for the other universes I’ve made - ahhh! I’m swamped!! 😂 😅 What a pleasant problem to have lmao

Because I plan on going all in, I’m gonna put a “Read More” in case no one wants spoilers for these certain OCs such as: Dr. Ender(The Lost City), Victoria(The Lost City), Cleona(Surefire Camp), Althea(Cloaks in the Wind), and finally — Midoriya Jinx(Heiress)

Still here? Awesome! Let’s get started.

Dr. Ender: Ender actually never got their doctorate, like, they’re not currently supposed to be a doctor. What happened was, while working alongside their father on the front lines of the Mutant Virus, they ended up witnessing more than they should. After seeing their father experiment on countless infected, and the death of one they bonded with closely, they decided to leave. After setting the base on fire and running for it. Surprisingly, they’re more determined to keep the whole “Not Completing Classes” quiet than the other half!

Victoria: Victoria is one of the few humans who never gained a Mutation, so she decided to force one. She’s been experimenting on herself using the poisons she creates, and it’s actually showing. Her hair has gone white and brittle, she’s pale as a ghost, and constantly wears gloves now to cover marks. This is more of an open secret, as the others are trying to help her, but they don’t realize just how far she’s gone to try - after being seduced by a enemy soldier, she sold out Ricky to Gillihead, got him kidnapped, and is still keeping quiet about this. Nobody knows she had a hand in the event that, in the story, ends Arc One and really starts the action.

Cleona: Before Cleona came into the care of Phil and The Marksman at Surefire Camp, she was found in a barn - outside, three corpses. Two of the bodies were killed in a gunfight, but the last one was found holding a gun and appearing to be mauled to death. It’s assumed the two shot were her parents, but it’s unclear who the third was. Cleona has never told the others this, but she hates living deep in the woods because of this. She can hear gunshots of hunters, and it still scares her.

Althea: Before the events of Cloaks in the Wind, Althea was actually a really brutal person! Her magic was dangerous, and she was almost addicted to the feeling of it. It’s why she was worried about teaching Izuku hostile magic, and why she was so relieved he didn’t want that. She knows first hand how it can change someone, and now she is doing her best to stick to a vow of pacifism moving forward.

Midoriya Jinx: Technically not as bad, but Jinx has two big secrets she’s keeping from Izuku. One: The reason she won’t come home. He has a feeling it involves their mother, but has no idea how badly. On Jinx’s 16th birthday her Quirk(All for One) came in and made Inko push her away. Inko was very against Jinx’s previous “choices”(Critical of heroes, standing out, being as bold and loud as she could) but the final straw was having her father’s Quirk. It ended in a blowout fight that led to Jinx leaving and never properly coming back. Jinx knows Inko loves Izuku, and doesn’t want to damage their relationship. The second secret is her job: she fights in underground Quirk rings, and even takes the Quirks of her opponents. For obvious reasons, this is highly illegal.
