wip that I will never finish but also did not want it to rot in my gallery so. here. clockers the best family dynamic ever and boat boys in the divorce court (colorized)
Lizzie gives him the mission and Joel. Disturbance at the border; likely, foreign agents. Typical black ops fare, and the limitations are implicit in the pairing: discretion preferred, but not expected, as they had never been on a mission together that didn’t involve a moderate to major amount of bloodshed, or serious attempts at it. Etho appreciates this enabling quality of Joel’s, the consistency of his escalation and the reciprocal appreciation he receives for keeping pace.
"Any questions?" Lizzie's eyes are sharp, slow to blink.
"I got one," Etho says. Joel's eyebrows go up. "When we're done - where should I go to get a cat?"
a Clover-by-CLAMP inspired Double Life (mainly) AU where Bdubs is a lounge singer who requests a favor, sending Etho on what will surely be the worst shopping trip of his life. it's actually very sad but not yet; other characters and relationships to come, if I can manage to write it.
Honestly, I'm never really going to get over how the writers use Luz lying to her literal girlfriend as plot convenience. They really think that little hug at the end of Eclipse Lake fixes Amity's insecurities surrounding her relationship with Luz. Even though Luz shows her time and time again that she doesn't trust her enough to be honest with how she feels lmao.
the reason gintoki looks back in that "walking past each other in the street" scene is because he's like "wait that was takasugi". meanwhile takasugi doesn't look back because he intended to walk past gintoki as part of his evil plan (seeing gintoki)
