Day 17 Prompt: "I never said it would be easy."
Summary: Bobbi Morse needs her best friend's help defending their record as the baddest bitches SHIELD's Ops Academy has ever seen.
Word Count: 2,103
Category: Fluff
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
I sighed as I settled into the cocoon of blankets I'd built in my quarters at SHIELD, a bowl of popcorn resting in my lap and my favorite show on my laptop. After running around the world almost dying for a month on a mission, I'd decided to take my first full day back at SHIELD HQ to rest, and absolutely nothing else.
At least, that had been my plan, until my best friend practically broke down my door barging into my room.
"Thank goodness you're back!" she cried, urgency in her tone. I just stared at her, bracing myself for whatever the hell she'd come in here to tell me. "We have a situation."
"Barbara Morse, I just got back from a month long mission-"
"Two new Ops recruits just beat our time on SHIELD's toughest obstacle course."
I stopped mid-sentence, popcorn and show forgotten as I stared at Bobbi and tried to process her words.
"Impossible," I finally decided, scowling. Bobbi nodded sympathetically.
"It should've been. Our record's held for years. But it just got beaten, by two barely-not-teen boys, no less. I don't think I have to tell you we can't let that stand."
"Damn right we can't," I agreed, setting my popcorn aside and throwing the blanket off of my lap. I stood, closing my laptop and going to my closet to change out of the pajama pants I'd been living in ever since I got back. "Give me like five minutes and I'll be ready to go."
"I'll go get the Quinjet ready to take off. Ops academy here we come."
We did our secret handshake that we'd come up with in our first year together at SHIELD academy, then separated to accomplish our missions. I made it out of my room in four minutes, jogging through the hallways to get to Bobbi faster. A few people waved to me and welcomed me back, but I didn't stop to chat. Bobbi and I had a new mission of peak importance to take care of, and we couldn't let anything get in our way.
For a long time, the SHIELD Ops obstacle course had been the end-all be-all of class credibility, outside of actual class rank. Recruits were expected to attempt it in pairs, and only the absolute best could make it through at all, let alone with any kind of speed. Bobbi and I had trained like maniacs until we'd blown the previous record out of the water, going down in history as the two best agents to ever take on one of the academy's hardest challenges. We coasted on that reputation for the rest of our academy career, and people still seemed impressed by it even though we'd left the academy long behind us.
Many had tried to break our record, and none had ever succeeded. One or two people had come close, but on the whole, our record seemed absolutely unbeatable. If two new recruits had come in and done the impossible, then they must've been incredibly impressive agents. And they also had to be stopped and reminded of Bobbi and I's supremacy immediately.
Bobbi brought the Quinjet in for a landing at the Academy not twenty minutes after she'd first burst into my room. The two of us marched through the hallways shoulder to shoulder, heads held high like we owned the place. And after graduating top of our class, we kind of did.
"Alright, let's see just what these two pulled off," I said, Bobbi and I slipping into one of our old classrooms and accessing the records for the obstacle course. I put their replay up on the projector, then went to take a first row seat in the auditorium with Bobbi.
"You should've brought your popcorn with you," she said. I laughed, but the laughter quickly died as the replay began.
These two first year recruits hadn't just managed to beat our record by a tenth of a second or two. They'd blown us out of the water by three whole seconds. Practically an eternity. And even worse, based on the end of the video, they clearly thought they were the hottest shit that SHIELD had ever seen as a result.
I swore loudly in the empty classroom.
"That was insane, Bob! How the hell do you expect us to beat that, especially since we haven't done this course in forever?"
"Hey, I never said it would be easy. But we have to do it, Y/N. We can't let this stand."
I groaned, rolling my eyes up to the ceiling before huffing a big sigh.
"Yeah, you're right. Do you want to do a few practice runs before we get an official timed one?"
"No, I don't. I think we go warm up in the gym, do a couple practice exercises in there, then go outside and crush that obstacle course and show everybody who's boss."
I nodded. "I like that plan. Alright, let's do this."
Thankfully, our favorite training room from our time at the agency was still here, and even better, empty. We did some stretching and warmups, ran through a few of the movements we'd need on the obstacle course, and then headed outside.
The dew of the morning still clung to the grass in the yard of the academy, and recruits ran in tight formation all around. Others trained on some of the smaller obstacle courses, or did pushups and jumping jacks. I elbowed Bobbi and nodded across the yard when I found the recruits who'd broken our record stretching out under a tree, preening like peacocks as their classmates surrounded them.
Bobbi and I shared a grin. They better enjoy it while it lasted.
"Agent Morse! Agent Y/L/N! This is a nice surprise."
Bobbi and I turned to find our absolute favorite instructor staring at the both of us, hands on her hips and a smile on her face. Agent Bailey was five foot nothing, but her strength, attitude, and experience made her seem larger than life. She was by far one of the most respected instructors across all of the SHIELD academies, and she was the only one Bobbi and I had really stayed in touch with. She'd even had us back once or twice to speak to her classes, when we weren't away on a mission.
"Agent Bailey! It's so good to see you!"
"It's good to see you two, too. Now, what brings you both back here? Don't tell me someone else poached you to speak to their class instead of mine?"
"No, don't worry. We would never," I said, giving her a bright smile. Bobbi nodded, then continued.
"We're actually back to reclaim our record on the obstacle course."
Bailey smiled, and clearly this wasn't a surprise to her at all. She started walking towards the start of the course, motioning for us to follow her.
"I figured as much. I wondered how long it would take the two of you to get back here once you heard." She stopped at the beginning of the course, hands on her hips as she surveyed us both. "Good. Those two who broke your record need to be taken down a peg. Their arrogance is going to get them killed, in the field if not here. They're in their first year and already think they're untouchable."
I frowned and glanced over at the tree where we'd spotted the agents in question earlier. They were still stretching, but they'd noticed us now, and were looking in our direction. I gave them a sickly sweet smile before turning back to Bailey.
"I'll time you both and make it official. Don't fail me now, you two."
With that, Bailey turned to take her place as an official administrator for the obstacle course test. I hopped around a little, bouncing on the balls of my feet and shaking out my arms. Then, I turned to Bobbi.
"You ready to do this?"
"Oh yeah. Those punks are never going to forget our names."
We high-fived, then turned to face the obstacle course, crouching a little, ready to launch forward as soon as Baily called start.
"On your marks!"
Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a few recruits wandering over to watch us, looking confused. They'd be looking on in awe in a few minutes, if Bobbi and I had anything to say about it.
"Get set!"
I took a deep breath in before letting it out, the distractions fading away. The course ahead and my partner beside me were all that mattered. Laser-like focus and efficiency was the order of the day.
"Go!"
Bobbi and I launched forward into the course, two women on a mission. We worked like a perfect machine, almost reading each others' thoughts as we launched over one obstacle and stopped to help the other right behind us. We didn't hesitate at a single challenge, and every time my muscles felt a little tired or a little upset at what I asked of them, I pushed right through. There was no room for hesitating, or slowing down, or pausing. No room for error.
After dancing through a few portions that tested agility and literally swinging through a few others that tested strength, Bobbi and I reached the final challenge, a massive wall that we had to scale before our run could be deemed complete. We hit it at a dead run, Bobbi launching upwards just ahead of me and holding out a hand to help me reach the first level. I used the momentum and her help to make it to the second level, and we continued steadily, working in perfect sync as we neared the top.
A button to stop the time sat waiting for us at the top, with Agent Bailey standing right behind it. Bobbi and I had to hit the button at the same time, or the clock would keep running. It was the final piece, the final test of how well we could work together and remain in sync even through exhaustion.
I made it to the top, turning back to hold out a hand for Bobbi. I pulled her up while she climbed, and as soon as she made it to stable footing, I turned on my heel and ran for the button. I could feel Bobbi a half step behind me, closing just in time as I reached out my hand.
As one, our hands slammed down on the button, Bobbi's already on top of mine as we made contact. The button lit up to tell us the clock had come to a stop, and we both looked to Bailey with hopeful, expectant looks.
All around us, as the world outside the obstacle course came back into focus, the recruits training in the yard stood staring up at us on the platform. I noticed the two boys at the front of the crowd, watching Bailey with bated breath as intensely as me and Bobbi. A moment later, Bailey raised her arms and shouted:
"We have a new course record!"
"YES!"
"LET'S GO!"
Bobbi and I screamed and jumped up and down, immediately wrapping each other in a tight hug. I laughed, a joyous, almost disbelieving laugh, and when we pulled apart Bobbi was absolutely beaming at me.
"Agents Morse and Y/L/N have set a new record by a margin of two point seven seconds."
"HELL YES!" I screamed. Bailey gave us each a small smile, then her face dropped back to her usual no-nonsense baseline.
"Their time and a replay of their run will be posted and available within the hour. Everyone else, back to your exercises! You're not here to stand around all day!"
Slowly, the crowd of recruits started to disperse. The two boys who'd held the record for all of a few hours stared up at us in awe until their instructor came to pull them away. I shot them a wink and a wave.
"Nice work, partner," said Bobbi, smiling as she leaned in and bumped her shoulder against mine. "I guess we've still got it."
"Of course we've still got it. We're the dream team, absolutely unbeatable."
We shared a smile. After a second, Bobbi sighed, stretching out her arms and taking a few steps towards the easy way down from the platform we'd climbed up to.
"So, wasn't it worth it that I dragged you out of bed this morning?"
"Worth it? Yes. Enough to make me stay up and about when I've been in a safe place to relax for the first time in a full month? Hell no."
"Mind if I join you in your relaxing? I'm not due to ship out for another mission until the end of the week."
I smiled. "Sure thing. But I'm not sharing my popcorn."

Becoming an inhuman definitely wasn’t something Y/N was either expecting or wanting, but she didn’t get to choose. She was one of the people who turned because of fish oil vitamins.
She didn’t understand what was going on when the flowers started floating around the shop, freaking away the customers. Y/N didn’t even realize it was her doing it before they all slammed to a wall because of her hand movement. Her coworker instantly called the cops, which also got SHIELD’s attention.
Although, SHIELD capturing her with a flying room didn’t seem like a good thing at the time, she feels very fortunate to be with them now. She didn’t have a lot of family around and the one friend she had was disgusted by her powers, so the people at SHIELD became her friends. Especially Daisy Johnson, another inhuman. Daisy understands her feelings and struggles. She also helps her overcome them. She’s like a mentor to Y/N, which is why she is so afraid of her quickly growing feelings towards her.
“You are able to move it, Y/N, you just have to believe in yourself.” Daisy stands next to her, staring at the broken car in front of them.
Y/N groans, swinging her arms down. “I can’t do it.”
“Come on now.” Daisy glares at her playfully. “Don’t give up so easily. It took me a long while to get used to my powers too.”
“But you learned with professionals.”
“Are you implying I’m not a professional?”
“Yes.”
Daisy gasps in mock offend, slamming her hand to her chest. Y/N giggles at her, shaking her head. “I’m hurt. You know, as your SO I’m going to make you hard twice as hard now.” She bumps her side to Y/N’s, who inly rolls her ryes at the threat. ”Try again.” Y/N sighs, but moves her hand up towards the car. She breathes out and closes her eyes. “Block everything else out of your mind, focus on the car.”
Opening her eyes, Y/N smiles widely. The car is few meters up the ground. “I did it.” She laughs, surprised and happy she actually did it. “I actually did it.”
“I knew you could do it.” Daisy grins, looking at the pure glee on Y/N’s face.
The car slams down to the ground as Y/N practically jumps at Daisy to give her a hug. Daisy takes a few steps back from the impact, but returns the hug just as enthusiastically, happy for her and happy to be close to her.
“Thank you.” Y/N looks at Daisy. “You truly are a great SO.”
Daisy smiles. “You did all the hard work. Come on, lets end this here.” She sets her hand to Y/N’s lower back, under her crop top where her skin is bare. The touch makes Y/N’s cheeks feel warm. She is pretty sure the hand is lower than a friend’s hand should be, but she doesn’t think too much about it. Certainly Daisy couldn’t have the same feelings towards her.
“Yeah.” Y/N mumbles, looking down at the floor. “You think the others are ordering something to eat today? Or is it someone’s turn to cook?”
Daisy thinks for a moment. “I think it’s Hunter’s turn, which means we’re eating ordered pizza.”
“Well, I don’t mind that.”
Giggling, Daisy looks at Y/N. “That’s because you and Hunter are scarily alike.”
Y/N’s eyes widen. “You take that back.”
Daisy only laugh, throwing her head back as she lets go of Y/N and walks towards her room. “See you at dinner!” Y/N stares dopily after her, smiling at her laugh and the way she walks.
Shaking her head, Y/N walks over to her room, desperately trying to push her feelings away.
Most of the agents are sitting together at the dining table, taking their pick of the different pizzas laying in front of them.
Y/N is staring at laughing Daisy, who is sitting across from her. “I’m not similar to Hunter, am I?” She cringes at the thought, turning to look at Bobbi sitting next to her.
“I mean, a little bit.”
Groaning, Y/N bites into her piece of pizza. “Have you even met Hunter.”
Bobbi chuckles and rolls her eyes. “You should tell her.” She glances at Daisy. She’s talking with Jemma and Leopold.
“That I’m like Hunter? She’s the one who said it to me first.”
“No.” Bobbi shakes her head with an exaggerated sigh. “That you like her.” She whispers so the others around them wouldn’t hear.
Y/N freezes for a moment. Glancing at Daisy, she makes sure the brunette didn’t hear anything. She clears her throat and continues eating. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Y/N mumbles.
“It’s so obvious.” Bobbi leans closer to Y/N. The action makes Daisy glance at the two, but it goes unnoticed by Y/N. “And it’s very clear she likes you too.”
“You don’t think it’s weird?” Y/N sighs, slightly shifting in her seat. “That she’s my SO.”
“No, of course not. Wasn’t Ward Daisy’s SO?” Y/N raises her brow, looking at Bobbi with an expressionless look. Bobbi purses her lips. “Right, probably not the best example. Just tell her, or..” She grins. “I can help you.”
“How?”
“Make her jealous.”
“No.” Y/N shakes her head. “That’s not right.”
“Do you know how many times me or Hunter tried to make each other jealous?” Bobbi glances at Hunter, giving him a small smile when she notices he is already looking their way. “And we’re doing great now.”
“I wouldn’t exactly call you two a role model relationship.” She mumbles out, ignoring the offended although playful glare she gets from Bobbi.
“Come on.” Bobbi lays her hand to the backrest of Y/N’s chair, leaning closer to whisper into her ear. “It’ll be fun.”
Y/N grumbles and rolls her eyes. “Fine.”
“Good.” Bobbi grins, caressing Y/N’s arm lightly, at times fiddling with the sleeve of her t-shirt. “She’s already staring.” When Y/N goes to lift up her head, Bobbi pinches her. “Don’t look.”
“Ouch.” Y/N moves her hand to the spot Bobbi pinched and glares at her.
“Don’t be a baby.” Bobbi glares her back. “Can you at least pretend you’re having a good time?”
Y/N starts giggling out of nowhere and quite loudly, definitely getting Daisy’s attention. She puts her hand near Bobbi’s collarbone and pushes her lightly. “You’re too funny.”
Bobbi smirks. “You’re good.”
“Thank you.” Y/N winks at her before going back to her pizza.
Y/N groans at the force of Daisy’s hand coming to her stomach, the impact making her take a few steps backwards. They’re training hand to hand combat, which Y/N is not a fan of. Especially now, as Daisy seems to be taking it to a next level.
She straightens her back and gets back to position, lifting her wrapped hand up to her face in fists. “Is there something going on between you and Bobbi?” Daisy throws a punch, which Y/N successfully avoids this time.
“I don’t know what you mean.” She advances Daisy, trying to get her into a headlock.
“You two seemed pretty close at dinner.” Daisy rolls away from Y/N. “I thought she was with Hunter.”
“Well, you know her and Hunter.”
Daisy scoffs at the vague answers. Not answering, she sweeps Y/N off of her feet. Y/N grunts from the impact. “Just wasn’t aware you were her type, or she yours.” She takes a sip from her water bottle while Y/N stands back up.
The tone of Daisy’s voice makes Y/N’s insides feel weird. She doesn’t like lying, which is why she didn’t want to do the whole thing in the first place.
“Guess I was wrong.” Daisy shrugs, setting the bottle down.
“Bobbi was only trying to make you jealous because I like you!” Y/N finally confesses, feeling too bad for lying to Daisy. She shuts her eyes in embarrassment, not wanting to see her SO’s reaction. “I understand if this crosses a line and you don’t want to be my SO anymore.” She whispers, quite sadly.
She didn’t want Daisy to stop being her SO, but she also didn’t want to make things uncomfortable. She still wants to be her friend, even if she didn’t feel the same way about her.
“What did you say?”
Y/N’s whole body is burning up. “I like you.” A long silence makes her skin crawl. “I’m really sorry, we can forget this a-“
“Look at me and say it again.”
Daisy’s voice sounds different than usually, more demanding and serious. Slowly, Y/N opens her eyes to see Daisy much closer to her than she thought. “I like you, more than I should.”
Daisy stares at her, searching for a trace of lie but finding none. She breathes out and smiles. Taking Y/N completely by surprise, she grabs her waist and pulls her into a rough kiss. Y/N gasps, kissing her back as soon as she realizes what’s going on.
“I’ve been waiting to do that for so long.” Daisy laughs as she backs away.
Y/N giggles, leaning her head to Daisy’s shoulder. “Me too.”

day twenty two: lonely | l.h. & b.m.
pairing: bobbi morse x lance hunter
word count: 306
Tumblr media
When Fitz asks him how Bobbi’s doing, after years of missing one of his closest friends, after months of scattered communication through footy magazines, Hunter lies. He jokes about the distance between them, brings it up as though they’re the same bickering old married (well, divorced) couple with never ending gripes about the other, and if Fitz sees something brittle about Hunter’s smile, hears the coarse fakeness of his laugh, he doesn’t say anything about it.
The real reason Bobbi wasn’t there wasn’t because of some marital tiff, God if only it could have been that simple, her return guaranteed as soon as she had the time to cool off. If only she could just rock up in his motel room at any corner of the world without any warning or indication she knew where he was, just those spooky demonic hell beast powers he loved and missed so much.
He waits until late at night, Robin and Polly both safe and soundly asleep to correct his earlier lies, staring up at the ceiling as it all comes out in droves. How they had had a tiff, Bobbi leaving in the middle of the night and him not thinking anything of it until the next morning when he goes outside for a smoke - a terrible habit he’d picked up while on the run - and finds her phone smashed to pieces, and how it took him ten days to find Bobbi, whose body had been classed as a Jane Doe by the county morgue due to their fingerprints being wiped from existence.
Hunter blurts out how losing her hadn’t even been the hardest part, nor was the guilt for not saving her from the horrors that took her life away, but the pervasive loneliness that swallowed him whole and would one day be the end of him.

We almost had an Agents of SHIELD Cinematic Universe at one point
Like we almost had a Bobbi Morse/Lance Hunter spinoff
And then we almost had a Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider spinoff
And then if you consider that Agent Carter is a prequel, and Runaways vaguely references AoS (and also crosses over with Cloak & Dagger)
And then AoS and Daredevil shares some in universe stuff (Daisy and Matt's orphanage) which then leads into the Netflix shows
We could've had this interconnected Marvel TV Universe with crossovers, cameos, etc. Like imagine Arrowverse or MCU but with those characters.
WE COULD'VE HAD IT ALLLLLLLLLL

Masterlist
Written for Fictober 2022! Requested by Anon :)
Fandom: Marvel
Prompt: “Do we have a deal?”
Summary: Y/N and Bobbi have worked at SHIELD together for a long time, and have recently become training partners, which has only made Y/N's crush on their fellow agent a thousand times worse. When they set up a bet that revolves around Y/N taking Bobbi on a date if they win, they might finally get their wish of having something other than a work relationship with their fellow agent.
Category: Fluff
Word Count: 1,425
A/N: I've never written for Bobbi or even really thought about writing for Bobbi, but this was fun! Thanks to the anon who requested it, and I hope I did her justice!
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
"Do we have a deal?"
"Sure, Y/N, we have a deal. If you somehow manage to beat me in hand-to-hand this round, I'll go on a date with you." I grinned at Bobbi, my training partner and long-time crush, as she raised her fists to get ready for our next round of sparring. "But, if you lose, you have to do all of my paperwork for the next month."
I grinned. "Don't worry, Bobbi. I'll make sure to pick a nice restaurant for our date to take the sting out of all that paperwork you're not going to be able to get out of."
She scoffed and rolled her eyes, but I caught a slight smile on her face nonetheless.
"Alright, enough smack talk. Time to back it up. C'mon."
I shot her a smirk, then darted forward with lightning speed. Despite how confident I was in my ability to win this round, Bobbi was still a formidable opponent, and she reacted quickly enough to block my move. She quickly countered with one of her own, putting me on the back foot as I had to scramble back a few steps to get out of her range.
"What's the matter, Y/N?" she asked, shooting me an irritatingly distracting smile as she took up her defensive stance again. "The idea of all that paperwork keeping your mind elsewhere?"
I scoffed as Bobbi looked me up and down, making my heart race. "You know it's not the paperwork distracting me you damn cheater."
Bobbi just winked at me, then rushed forward so fast I almost couldn't stop her. We traded blows for a few minutes, Bobbi pushing me further and further back with each attack. I was going to run out of room soon, and then she'd really have me beat, so in between blocks I took a deep breath and forced my brain to focus on the fight instead of Bobbi.
It wasn't easy, but I managed to lock into combat mode, and just like that the tables turned. Bobbi had been kicking my ass in training since we'd started as partners last week, but it had largely been because she was such a distraction for me. Now, with so much on the line, I'd finally managed to get in the zone, which meant I could take advantage of my full skill set.
The momentum shifted, and I pushed Bobbi back a few steps. Her eyebrows shot up in surprise, and then she doubled the ferocity of her attacks. Still, I managed to get her on the defense. One perk of consistently making a fool of myself in front of her over the past week was that she hadn't seen my full capabilities or moves yet, which meant she didn't have any practice defending against them.
After a few minutes of rapid back and forth, I finally managed to surprise Bobbi and knock her feet out from under her. I had her pinned in a few moments after that, and when a couple attempts at catching me off guard and flipping me failed, Bobbi finally admitted defeat.
"Where the hell did that come from?" she demanded as we stood. I got up first and offered her my hand, which she took, then I grinned at her.
"I finally managed to stop being nervous around you long enough to get my head in the game and fight like I do against literally everyone else that's not you," I said. Bobbi shook her head, but she was smiling all the same. "And just in time, too, because as much as I want to take you out I also really do not want to do that paperwork."
She rolled her eyes and threw her head back at the mention of the paperwork, which made me laugh.
"So, where do you want to go for our date?"
****************
"Alright, I'll admit... as far as dates go, this one actually does make up for the paperwork a little."
I grinned at Bobbi as the two of us went through the motions of putting on our laser tag vests. We'd gone out to a nice, if early, dinner, and then I'd surprised Bobbi by bringing her to the second phase of our date: no-holds-barred laser tag.
"I'm glad you think so," I said, shooting her a smile. Dinner had gone fantastically, and I got the feeling Bobbi might just be crushing on me as hard as I was crushing on her, now. "The only question left is: are we teaming up or competing against each other."
"I mean... I think it might be unfair if we teamed up against all these poor, helpless civilians," she said with a mischievous grin. I returned her look with one of my own.
"Well then, I guess you'd better bring your A-game in there, Agent Morse."
"You're on."
Bobbi and I had an absolute field day in laser tag. We got to play three rounds, and in the first two, we were in a league of our own. Hardly anybody else landed a hit on either of us, but we scored a ridiculous amount of points against everyone else. In the first round, Bobbi beat me by a slim margin. In the second round, I managed to beat her by about the same, which meant it all came down to the third round.
"This is it," I said, grinning at her as we suited up in our laser tag vests for the last time. "Winner takes all."
"Care to make it interesting?" she asked, fixing me with a look that shot a thrill through my heart as we waited for the game to start.
"I'd be interested. Loser does the winner's paperwork for a week?"
"Or... loser plans and buys the next date."
My heart stopped in my chest. I stared at Bobbi, trying to play it cool while also freaking out. She smirked back at me, clearly aware of the effect her words had on me.
"You..." I cleared my throat, trying to get it together and sound halfway normal. "You want to go on another date?"
"Yeah," she said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "This was fun. And I've actually liked you for a while, too. I'm just better at being a spy and not having a visible heart attack every time you walked into the room."
I scoffed, but turned away to avoid looking at her because I knew my expression would just prove her point. Bobbi took a few steps closer to me, until the distance between us was almost completely gone, then gently lifted my chin with her hand until our eyes met.
"Hey. Seriously, though, this has been great. I'm glad we did this."
"Me too," I agreed. I glanced down at her lips, and before I knew it, we were both leaning into each other, further closing the distance until it completely disappeared. I was kissing Bobbi Morse, in the middle of a laser tag arena no less, and I absolutely loved it.
We broke apart after a few moments, since we were still in public. I absolutely beamed at Bobbi, and the soft expression on her face made my heart melt.
"I guess it's a good thing I let you win in our sparring match," she said as she pulled away. My mouth dropped open, but before I could call her on her bullshit, the laser tag arena doors opened and the countdown to find your hiding spot started sounding. Bobbi shot me a wink and the most shit-eating grin I'd ever seen, then turned on her heel and took off. I quickly shook myself out of my shock and hurried after her.
"Morse, you're in for it now! You didn't let me win then, and you're gonna lose fair and square now, too!"
I heard her laugh from somewhere in the darkness, and I couldn't help smiling to myself, despite my minor outrage. I was on a date with Bobbi Morse, and one way or another we were planning a second one. What on Earth could I possibly complain about?

Agents of Shield as ✨DnD Archetypes✨
~Daisy~
Tumblr media
Daisy! my baby love girl boss queen… is a sorcerer! She’s smart, she’s fun, she has magic powers from ancient dna in her blood! She’s deeply connected to the natural environment, and is friends with the smallest atoms. She’s cool and everyone knows it.
~Jemma~
Tumblr media
Look at her. Look. At. Her. She is smol, she is lovely, she will fuck you up if needed! My girl is a wizard. Her strength may be a solid 10, but she’s got a +10 to all intelligence rolls. She has three PhDs in beating her enemy’s ass. Just imagine her in sparkly robes. Or cool jeans and a jean jacket. Jemma definitely cosplayed as Adaine at some point.
~Fitz~
Tumblr media
Our resident nerd is an artificer. Obviously. I feel that I don’t even need to explain this but just in case… he’s a magic engineer. He likes tinkering. Has definitely accidently blown up multiple labs playing with magical items. Duh.
~Melinda~
Tumblr media
ROGUE. Melinda May is a rogue. You think you can hear her coming? No. She has sneak attack. She has a 20 stealth and proficiency. My bae sees all. She is Mom, and we all know that nothing gets past Mama May.
~Phil~
Tumblr media
This may be a hot take. But. Coulson is a bard! His first instinct is to use charisma before drawing weapons. He may not have many fans (in universe), but you have to admit that people tend to love him. He loves music, he loves jokes, and most of the time he’s more focused on helping out his team than playing the hero. He would be such a good bard!!
~Bobbi~
Tumblr media
My lovely Bobbi. Bobbi Morse is a fighter. In every sense of the word. She’s strong outwardly and emotionally; she’s loyal, almost to a fault. She has strong ethos and sticks to her guns. Bobbi watches everyone’s back always, because she loves them. She is the very best fighter there is.
~Hunter~
Tumblr media
I wrestled with calling him the clown and calling it a day, however…! I have made the executive decision that Hunter is a ranger. He is great at keeping his distance (derogatory) but c’mon, you can’t stay mad at him. He lays low and moves quickly. I also think it’s funny how caring he is and charismatic he tries to be and literally his strongest trait is dodging all the quips and pillows that are thrown at him. Dex baby! Hunter is (fittingly) a ranger!
~Daniel~
Tumblr media
Daniel… my sweet Daniel. Mr. Sousa here is, I firmly believe, also a ranger. Idk. I’m between ranger or paladin, because I feel like yeah sure he’s the boy scout survival guy but at the same time I think he’s the stable, healer type. He has strong morals (square lol) and I feel like that translate well into both ranger and paladin :)
Should I make a part II? ☺️

Excerpt from Chapter 1:
It wasn’t supposed to be like this.
In all the times Jemma had imagined her post-Hydra reunion with Fitz, she’d run through the full gamut of emotions. She’d pictured everything from smiles and embraces to anger and shouting. On her loneliest nights, she imagined being swept up into a kiss of joy. When she was feeling more pragmatic, she told herself she shouldn’t expect it to be all rainbows and sunshine. It couldn’t be, not with the circumstances of her mission.

A New Beginning
Bobbi Morse x pregnant reader
Tumblr media
Chapter 1
The moon cast a soft glow as Bobbi and I walked hand in hand along the quiet streets, enjoying a rare moment of tranquility. The cool evening breeze brushed against my cheeks, bringing a sense of calm amidst the chaos of our lives. Little did Bobbi know that this peaceful walk was about to take an unexpected turn.
As we turned the corner, I took a deep breath, gathering the courage to share my secret. The words felt heavy on my tongue, and I wondered how Bobbi would react. Would she be overjoyed? Would she worry about the challenges we might face? Only time would tell.
We reached a small park, where a bench beckoned us to sit and take a moment for ourselves. Bobbi, ever the observant one, noticed my unease.
"Is everything alright, Y/N ?" she asked, concern etched in her voice.
I smiled, trying to ease her worries. "Yes, everything's fine, Bobbi. There's just something I need to tell you, something that will change our lives."
Her eyes widened with curiosity, and she squeezed my hand gently. "You know you can tell me anything. What's on your mind?"
I took a deep breath, my heart pounding with anticipation. "Bobbi, I'm pregnant."
A flicker of surprise danced across her face, quickly replaced by an overwhelming joy that mirrored my own. She wrapped her arms around me, pulling me into a tight embrace.
"Y/N, that's incredible news!" Bobbi exclaimed, her voice filled with elation. "We're going to be parents!"
Tears of happiness welled up in my eyes as I nodded, feeling an indescribable bond forming between us. In that moment, the worries and uncertainties faded into the background, replaced by the sheer excitement of the new life growing within me.
Bobbi kissed my forehead, her eyes sparkling with love and tenderness. "You're going to be an amazing mother, Y/N. And I promise you, I'll be there every step of the way."
Her words washed over me like a soothing balm, erasing any lingering doubts. I knew that together, we could conquer any challenges that lay ahead. Parenthood would be an adventure, and I couldn't imagine a better partner to embark on this journey with than Bobbi.
As we sat there, basking in the joy of our shared secret, I couldn't help but marvel at the surprises life had in store for us. Our lives were about to change in the most beautiful and profound way, and I couldn't wait to embrace every moment of this new beginning.

@ghostlydarknight
Jade was in her library, sitting on the couch reading a book. Her legs were outstretched, feet resting on a foot rest. Bobbi was laying perpendicular, her head resting in Jade’s lap. Every now and then, the Outworld Princess Assassin would lower her book to kiss her wife’s lips. There was a knock at the door and the two looked up.
“I’ll get it,” Bobbi said, sitting up. Jade lowered her book, watching as Bobbi went to the door and opened it up.
“Syndel? What’s going on?” Bobbi asked upon seeing the Outworld Queen.
“King T’Challa requests to speak to Jade,” Syndel said. Jade put her book down, walking over to join her wife and mother.
“Mom? Is everything okay?” Jade asked. Syndel hesitated slightly.
“There has been a…..complication with Talokan and HYDRA,” she said cryptically. Bobbi and Jade exchanged a look and the two followed Syndel to the meeting room. In the meeting room stood King T’Challa and the leader of the Jabari Tribe, M’Baku.
“King T’Challa, M’Baku,” Jade greeted, crossing her arms against her chest in the traditional Wakandan greeting, Bobbi and Syndel doing the same.
“Princess Jade. Queen Syndel. Agent Morse,” T’Challa replied as he and M’Baku put their hand over their heart before extending it to the three in the traditional Outworld greeting.
“Not to sound ungrateful, but what is going on? We don’t usually have social visits from Wakanda,” Jade asked. T’Challa sighed slightly, M’Baku looking rather pissed.
“We have reason to believe that HYDRA has kidnapped Namor and we need your help to get him back,” the King of Wakanda said.
:readmore:
“Of course we’ll help,” Jade said instantly.
“Good, because who knows what HYDRA could do to him,” M’Baku said darkly. Jade’s expression quickly turned dark and she took a step towards M’Baku. Bobbi and T’Challa quickly made their way between the two. Bobbi held her hands out, one resting gently on Jade’s chest while the other was extended towards M’Baku. Meanwhile, T’Challa had a restraining arm against M’Baku.
“HYDRA killed my mother’s first husband to take over Outworld. I have heard horror stories about what HYDRA has done to SHIELD agents. Hell, my wife was tortured by a HYDRA agent before I met her. So don’t you dare talk to me about what HYDRA is capable of,” the Outworld Princess said angrily.
“You don’t get it,” M’Baku said before Jade cut him off.
“Don’t get what? How you feel about him? Because I know exactly what the fuck I would do if HYDRA kidnapped my wife. I wouldn’t stop until they were all dead. You’re right in that I don’t know exactly how you feel, but I know how I feel about the woman I love and I can imagine how you feel about the man you love,” Jade said.
“Has anyone ever told you that you are a very intense woman?” M’Baku asked. Jade grinned.
“My mom. My dad. My brother. My sister. Various friends and enemies. Bobbi nearly every night,” she replied.
“Jade!” Bobbi yelped, blushing hard as she playfully slapped her wife’s shoulder. Jade just smirked.
“Do you have any lead on where HYDRA may have taken Namor?” She asked.
“We don’t….we were actually wondering if SHIELD would be willing to help us to locate where they may have taken him,” T’Challa said. Jade looked over at Bobbi, who nodded.
“Of course we’ll help,” she said.
“Let’s get to it, then,” M’Baku said.
In a HYDRA warehouse, Namor was chained up with multiple space heaters facing towards him. The heat was unbearable, drying out his skin and sapping him of his strength. A door opened and a man who the others referred to as “Rumlow” walked in.
“Oh how the mighty king has fallen now,” he gloated. Namor glared up at Rumlow, anger in his eyes despite his exhaustion.
“You won’t get away with this,” he warned. Rumlow smirked at that.
“Oh, I believe we will,” he said. Namor snorted at that.
“My people will bring you down,” he said.
“Your people? You are too weak to fight us! Once HYDRA has you on our side, your people will follow!” Rumlow laughed.
“Wakanda won’t let you get away with it. The leader of the Jabari Tribe, M’Baku? He will kill you,” Namor warned. Rumlow just laughed at that.
“Let’s see that,” here Rumlow used a word that Namor didn’t know what it meant, “try.”
“You obviously don’t know Wakanda,” Namor said dryly. Rumlow just laughed and stalked off.
In Outworld, SHIELD had located the location of Namor. Jade stared at the map, arms crossed against her chest. Without a single word, she walked over to a drawer and pulled out a lighter.
“What are you planning on doing with that?” T’Challa asked.
“I’m going to burn that damn warehouse down after we rescue Namor,” Jade said, her voice eerily calm.
“That’s where HYDRA held me when they kidnapped me. And Jade is a protective wifey,” Bobbi explained, seeing the confused look on T’Challa and M’Baku’s faces.
“How long will it take to get there,” M’Baku asked.
“Two hours, once we get high enough in the Quinjet, I’ll set it to Mach 3 and it’ll take about two hours,” Bobbi replied.
“That’s not good enough,” M’Baku snapped. Jade bristled but they all ignored her.
“I can push it to Mach 5 but any faster than that in our current atmosphere would cause problems,” Bobbi said.
“How long?”
“An hour.”
“Do it then,” M’Baku commanded. Bobbi nodded, “We leave when you’re ready.”
“Then we go now,” M’Baku said, producing his Knobkerrie. Bobbi looked at Jade and T’Challa. T’Challa tapped his necklace, his suit forming over him.
“You know I’m always ready for a fight,” Jade said, grabbing her warfans.
“I’ll stay in the Quinjet and be ready to fly when you return,” Bobbi said as the ground headed through the portal to the Playground to get to the Quinjet.
A little over an hour later, the Quinjet touched down just outside of Aranda de Duero, Spain.
“Let’s go,” Jade said, lifting her mask to cover her face. T’Challa and M’Baku nodded.
“Be safe,” Bobbi said, “I’ll be waiting for you when you get back.”
“Wouldn’t expect anything less,” Jade said with a fond smile, giving her wife a quick kiss before the three headed out.
Jade, T’Challa, and M’Baku quietly made their way through the warehouse, Jade and T’Challa stealthily taking out the guards in their own ways.
“You know, you do not have to kill them,” T’Challa commented. Jade smirked at that.
“I know, but it’s easier,” she replied.
“You could just knock them out,” he pointed out. Jade let out a dramatic sigh as another guard turned the corner. In an instant, Jade had the guard in a headlock and held it until the guard passed out.
“Better?” She snarked. T’Challa nodded, though his smile was hidden behind his mask. From a ways away, the three heard voices talking. They all straightened up, listening intently. Jade motioned towards the sound and the other toe nodded, heading towards the sound. As they approached, they could hear Rumlow talking.
“Come on, all you have to do is comply,” he said.
“Shit,” Jade swore quietly. T’Challa and M’Baku looked at her, but Jade said nothing. M’Baku glanced at T’Challa, who just shrugged.
“Let’s go,” T’Challa said. Jade nodded and walked to the closed door, kicking it open. Rumlow looked up from where he was crouched in front of Namor.
“Ah it’s the,” here Rumlow said words that made Jade’s already pissed expression somehow turn even angrier.
“What did you just call them? And me?” She said in a dangerous tone.
“I called you a,” Rumlow smirked, repeating the foul words he had just used.
“What do those mean?” T’Challa whispered to Jade.
“The word that began with an ‘n’ is used as a racial slur against those with African heritage while the other one is used as a racial slur against those with Asian heritage,” Jade said in a pissed tone.
“Ah, so the dyke has a brain,” Rumlow said. Jade rushed at Rumlow, sweeping out with a kick. The kick landed sharply on the jaw of the HYDRA agent, cracking it easily.
“My beauty, there you are,” a delirious Namor said, looking at M’Baku with an expression of pure devotion.
“Let’s get you free,” M’Baku said roughly, crouching near Namor. T’Challa joined, unsheathing his claws to slice through the ties.
“Get him out of here, I’ll finish up Rumlow,” Jade said. M’Baku shook his head and stood.
“No, I will,” he said as T’Challa lifted up Namor. Jade looked at the Jabari Tribe leader before nodding.
“Let’s go,” she said to T’Challa. The two royalty members headed out of the warehouse. M’Baku faced Rumlow, swinging his Knobkerrie dangerously.
“You will pay,” he said before rushing at Rumlow.
Jade and T’Challa ran out of the warehouse and towards the waiting Quinjet.
“Those words that he said. Do they really mean what you said?” T’Challa asked quietly. Jade nodded.
“And the other word he called me. Dyke. That’s a slur for lesbians. Probably a good thing Bobbi stayed at the Quinjet. If she heard him use those words, without a doubt he’d get a bullet in the brain,” she said just as quietly. T’Challa nodded as they reached the Quinjet. Before Jade could knock on it, the ramp lowered. Bobbi looked out, hand on her gun.
“Where is M’Baku?” She asked.
“Taking care of Rumlow,” Jade answered, boarding the Quinjet and kissing her wife on the cheek.
“Is he okay?” Bobbi asked, nodding at Namor.
“He is dehydrated, it has sapped him of his strength,” T’Challa replied. Bobbi walked over to the wall and tapped on it. A compartment opened and Bobbi pulled out a water bottle, tossing it to Jade. Jade pulled out a fan and sliced the bottle open, dumping it on Namor.
“Why do you….” T’Challa began.
“It’s water,” Bobbi deadpanned, “every Quinjet is furnished with a mini fridge that has both water and electrolyte-recovering beverages.”
“That makes sense,” T’Challa said as M’Baku exited the warehouse. He pulled out the lighter Jade had handed to him and flicked it at the warehouse, setting it ablaze.
“Let’s go,” M’Baku said in a dark voice, boarding the Quinjet. Bobbi nodded and headed to the cockpit, starting up the Quinjet and heading back to the Playground. M’Baku walked to Namor, placing a hand to his cheek.
“Are you okay?” He asked in a rough voice. Namor stared up at him, still half delirious.
“I am just fine, my beauty,” he said. M’Baku turned slightly pink at that.
“I’m glad,” he said, kissing Namor on the forehead. Jade and T’Challa exchanged amused looks at the scene. Despite what he said, the two knew that M’Baku was actually totally in love with Namor.
