No one was quite sure what happened, They had gone after Joker and while Batman was hesitant to allow Hood along he had gotten better about his anger and everyone else was busy with other rouges. one second Red Hood had a gun in Jokers face the next, there was a shift in Hood like he wasn’t himself anymore. Unfortunately it finally happened for Hood, his soulmate had reached 20 years of age and the two switched places. The person controlling his body now though was Danny Fenton who happens not to like clowns.

Danny was panicking and not realizing he was holding a gun pulls the trigger causing the Joker the go flying and Danny’s panic to increase 10 fold. He whips his head to get a look at his surroundings and that’s when he panics further and slowly places the gun on the ground and slowly raise his hands into the air. There in front of him was Batman and he knew he was in trouble. Still panicking he squeaked at the dark knight’s approach, “I’m sorry!! I- I guess I’m this guy’s soulmate. I didn’t mean to hurt anyone”

Jason meanwhile wasn’t fairing any better. He was pissed the clown was right in front of him and he was so close! He was in this scrawny body, his soulmate happened to be in Gotham but by the looks of it, he was in rough shape, a small fever was forming and it seemed like he had bandages wrapped around his torso. Jason doesn’t know what happened to him but he’s taking him to Alfred, he wasn’t going to let his soulmate bleed out in an alley even if he did have the worst timing.

It was Jazz's 18th birthday. Finally. She was so excited. Her, Danny, Mom, and Dad were going to stay up until 12:15 AM in order to know if she has a soulmate or not. Mom and Dad were. (Not that they flaunted it much. They forgot that others didn't just know.) She really hoped she had one, too.

It had been a great day. Tucker and Sam came over to give her presents. The food didn't come back to life. Everything they ate was actually edible. The presents were just what she wanted. Mom and Dad didn't even disappear to work on things downstairs. It was too good to be true. Anxiety started to well up inside of her. Everything had been great so far, so there had to be something that would go wrong.

But nothing went wrong. It was going so smoothly, Mom and Dad had commented on it. It was 5 minutes to 12 and still nothing had happened that would make this day less than perfect.

The thought struck her then: What if she didn't have a soulmate? It was very much possible. Not everyone had one. She knew Tucker's and Sam's parents didn't have soulmates. She knew that even though her parents were soulmates, it didn't mean she would. She knew that having a soulmate was a chance.

She'd always been so certain she'd have one, though. That she'd be in her body at 11:59 PM on the night of her 18th birthday and be in her soulmate's at 12 AM. She'd been certain that she'd spend 24 hours trying to figure out who her soulmate was and how to find them. She'd been certain that she'd get to know some of their family and friends in those hours.

Now, she wasn't so certain. Now, she was scared that she'd been deluding herself with fairy tales for years. Now, she was nearly certain that she'd be facing disappointment when she opened her eyes.

When she opened her eyes? When did she close them?

Blinking open her eyes, she looked around. At first she had no idea what she was seeing. There were people around her. They were all wearing costumes for some reason.

"Zatanna?" The man closest to her asked in concern. "What happened, love?"

Her brain was moving pretty slow, but the only thing she could think of was that not only was her soulmate - Zatanna? - part of a strange cosplay group for characters she'd never heard of, but is probably going out with the greasy blonde dressed like a homeless person.

Her soulmate being in love with someone else wasn't something she'd considered, but it was enough to ruin her entire day.

Body swap au, set in the sweet 2012 fic era, but with an ensemble cast:

Loki plays a prank which results in Tony and Steve body swapping. Steve is irritable and cranky, because hell he thought he'd never have trouble breathing again. Worse is that Tony's brain never slows down, not even enough to grant him a decent sleep. Then there's Tony, who after the initial meltdown and anger, just disappears and Shield, the team and everyone's worried he'll do something reckless, stupid and ridiculous with Steve's body. Steve isn't worried, he knows Tony isn't that insensitive. But he is worried when Tony doesn't surface after several hours of absence.

Bucky is the one who finally figures it out—what with the shared history of body mutilation and all.

They find Tony curled up under the table of his lab. Sleeping.

"His mind's an overpowered horse that never stops running. He has a hole in his chest that hurts with every gulp of breath. Of course the first thing he does is take a long, overdue nap. It's what I'd do."

thinking about body swap fics involving Spock. Thinking about the way they frequently have whoever is in Spock's body emoting in more human ways.

Then thinking about the fact that Vulcans have stronger emotions than humans which is why they have to cultivate such strong emotional control. Then thinking about the fact that emotions are largely biochemical reactions.

Anyways if anyone were to bodyswap with Spock (or any Vulcan) they would immediately go feral, completely incapable of handling emotions that are far more impactful then they are used to. And with 3× their normal amount of strength.

When you meet your soulmate you both feel it, you know down to your bones that this person was meant to be with you for life, if you’re unable to find them before you pass on, your ghosts will be unable to locate each other in the afterlife. The Fentons tried to make a way to locate your soulmate using ectoplasm, unfortunately for Danny he’s the only one in the family yet to find his. Jazz actually found hers when she started school in Gotham, some guy named Jason, if Danny remembered correctly. They try some experiments with Danny and something works just not as intended as with every piece of Fenton tech. Danny wakes up in an unfamiliar room and in an unfamiliar body. Looking around, it appears his soulmate is rich, he’s got to call his soulmate and explain the situation. He’s not looking forward to explaining his powers to them but if they’re going to be in his body best to let them know what to expect from Danny’s weird biology.

Damian woke up to an unfamiliar ringtone in an unfamiliar room. Assessing the situation he noticed the number from the phone was actually his own. Might as well answer it to see if he could get some answers.

Yet Another Soulmate Prompt

Constantine didn't have a soulmate. He didn't have a body counter on his arm (in any sense of the term), and he had never body swapped with them. That was fine. A soulmate would slow him down. Be a liability. Plus, not everyone had a soulmate. No big deal.

But then something happened. He had a counter on his wrist. Since the number was freakishly high, his soulmate couldn't have just been born. When they swapped bodies, it was dark and cramped and uncomfortable. He tried for what must have been hours to swap back. When he finally returned to his own body, he found himself being restrained by the House of Mystery. After that experience he decided to actively resist the swap whenever he felt the pull.

Dan hadn't noticed when the counter appeared on his wrist, but it had been there even in his timeline. Not that he ever found out who it was. By the time he was interested in learning, he was unable to swap. Not that that was a surprise, he had killed a majority of the world by that point.

He hadn't even thought about swapping with his soulmate until after he was trapped inside the thermos. He figured that he could use the situation to his advantage.

He started experimenting with the limits of this new body he'd found himself in. Physically, it was rather weak, but he could feel a hidden well of power that could be useful if he figured out how to tap into it. He explored the house for a while, until he came across a library filled mostly with books on magic. Exactly what he needed to continue doing whatever he wanted.

In the back of his mind he could feel the other trying to swap back.

He started reading through the books, trying out spells. Then he found a few that were too much for the body he was in and pushed it further. The ectoplasm being created by his core would soon allow him to form outside of the physical body anyway. He wouldn't need it.

That was when he started noticing that the house was moving. By that point it was too late. The house was more proficient in magic than he was and was more than capable of preventing him from leaving it. When he was completely restrained by the house, he gave up resisting the swap. The body's owner would probably allow him to swap again when they weren't stuck inside that house.

Except they didn't. It made him wonder if his soulmate was trapped in that house similarly to how he was trapped in the thermos. Or perhaps they hated being in the thermos just as much as he did.

As much as he tried to fight it, he began to wonder who the other was, what their life was like. He began to regret not finding a mirror to see what his match looked like. He was starting to become rather curious who the universe would pair him with.

Once Tony gets his sweetest longest nap done, Steve and Tony commence their combined shenanigans. The general public doesn't know and this might be the perfect opportunity to get back at the press for being so invasive all the time.

Steve heads out in Tony's body, dressed like he's just stepped out of a forties movie. Then there's Tony in Steve's body—wearing band tshirts and jackets and sneakers with wildly shaped neon sunglasses. The kids start joining in on the fun, take Tony in Steve's body to science conventions and have him give lectures—and holy hell no one told us us Captain America builds particle accelerator! Steve and the kids go to the park and hold painting sesh—and "whoa Tony Stark can paint????"

The whole thing blows up the internet. There's one wild theory that Cap and Iron Man have been married for so long that they've absorbed each other's traits (guess where THAT originated) Villains get lectured by Tony Stark, mocked by Captain America and the whole wide world is collectively losing its mind.

Meanwhile Sam, Bucky and Nat are betting on how long till the rumours become reality and the whole thing really picks up heat when Steve goes flying in the suit and Tony tags along, for once being the one to be carried around by the armor and they come back grinning and blushing like kids in love

Hob has lived a very, very long life. 

He's proud of it too, though he can't brag about it to anyone but his partner (who is partially the reason he's immortal in the first place). And part of being so old, having lived so long while fancying and vying for an eldritch's attention, is that he attracts a particular crowd. A crowd he's had plenty of time to get used to, that he relates to more than he relates to humans sometimes, but one he attempts to keep some distance from.

He might be mired in the supernatural, but even he has a limit to how much trouble he'll let come to him.

Despite that, he has quite a few good friends all mixed up in the occult, from Johanna Constantine (who looks exactly like her ancestor) in the exorcism business to the twins that infrequently show up to the New Inn, mostly on full moons, and offer to lay down a few simple wards in exchange for Hob keeping the pub open past the witching hour. He likes those two best, mostly because they conduct themselves well and don't try to drag Hob any deeper than he's shown interest in going.

Right now, he really wishes the supernatural being accosting him were as deferential as the twins.
