Hii. It's been so long since I've opened Tumblr that I didn't even know you posted MDZS fanart. And let me say, I love it! I originally followed you because of your Cybersix fanart, and I love that now you also draw MDZS. Could you maybe draw Adrian/Cybersix and Lucas making googly eyes at each other? There are not enough Cybersix enjoyers in the world, and even less artists that have watched it. Love youu

adrian and lucas unknowingly fuel a not insignificant part of the school rumour mill
(and tell me about it, i wish more people understood why they should love this series T0T if the comic wasn't absolutely intolerable we'd be unstoppable!!)

All I’m saying is that “Kiff gets knocked up a notch” has some the most aggressive t4t polyam energy I have ever seen in a show.
I do not care about how this ends up playing out in canon, as far I am concerned the t4t energy polycule of Leela, Fry, and Bender now has added Amy & Kiff who are absolutely co parents with Leela of Axl, Mandy and Newt.

Thinking about talpaedans again, how I’ve gone ahead and given them (among direct inspiration from armadillos) that alien element in ant genes, and how in the blazes Andreas survived getting crushed by a castle-
As stated previously, I gave talpaedans that ant-based edge because of the desire to have a whole construction/deconstruction site within one ‘family’, or to the extent of ant biology plus civil engineer lingo, a ‘colony’ or ‘union’ which would include smaller groups more akin to family even if most anyone in any given city is related to their ‘queen’ (haplodiplody is an interesting beast). And ant gender doesn’t directly translate to ant sex because of some sleeper genes that, when activated in a certain species series of events, give an ant on the individual level a specialisation. Some specialisations are general but some are sex locked, and in talpaedans I’ve been thinking of making that split between construction and deconstruction.
This would mean that Andreas specifically would have a gendered specialisation, jackhammers so to say, and so indeed lives up to that by being a being in castle crashing. An example of a gendered counterpart would be a set of cement mixers, except with a little more techno organic ingredients, which can in a carbon-based lifeform be a self-produced tar (since tar is made from wood, coal, bones and other organic substances, a few ingredients here and there plus canonically black blood, you get fucked up ant biology just like the ants that explode themselves) and kinda serve to glue stuff together if sealing the cracks isn’t enough. A gender neutral specialisation would be a ‘used everywhere’ adaptation like forklift or scaffolding tools which kinda translate to ‘has big claws’ on one end or ‘has long hammed’ on the other.
And these are just only a few examples, this does not even include drills (it was Omniverse to make Armodrillo a jackhammer and drill), bolt guns and more.
Okay but why am I - a gender apathetic lad - trying to make the talpaedan equivalent for male a deconstruction tool and the talpaedan equivalent for female a construction tool? Well because I recently learnt about specific techniques of home defence that certain colonies of ants perform!
Inspired by the ants that collapse the entrance to the colony (and causing casualties in the process), wouldn’t it make sense for the male-ish deconstruction equipment to stay and turn a little corner retreat into a full on bubble of air in a sea of dirt, entirely defensible and difficult to get in (thanks to the rubble of actual genuine architecture because if you’ve got a whole city of civil engineers you’ve got a whole lot of actual underground city planning). For the predominately female-ish warrior force (especially my wonderful passing mention of a ‘bolt gun’ specialisation), the backlines and really the only thing for a colony deems worthy of fighting for - the literal fucking colony - and collapsing tunnels, trapping choke points and being 100% certain that any young, elder or otherwise non-combatant is kept safe between layers and layers of controlled rubble.
And so with this I bring to you, how did Andreas survive a castle collapse? That’s because no matter how good someone is at sealing off tunnels, the actual destruction of the passage isn’t entirely controlled and can indeed BACKFIRE to those unprepared or unused to the responsibility. Regardless of Andreas’ own experience with tunnel closing (a precaution done during wartimes which, given that [my headcanon] Andreas was in one of the first few generations of peacetimes, is not as necessary a task to do so much as just keep in mind), there’s a reason why talpaedans are so heavily armoured. Being buried in rubble is no easy thing - hurts like a bitch - but with the collapsing of tunnels being a rather purposeful if still variable defence, having crush resistance helps keep more folk alive. And I suppose, the best way to survive being buried would be to have collapsible armour oneself, the metal having room to cave and potentially have internal cushioning (such as techno-organic fur) just to prevent sharp shell pieces from stabbing vitals.
And hey that’s the end of the post, which was total not inspired by me rereading Kariachi’s necromancer Argit reviving Andreas fic no no it was the Casual Geographic video on ants yeet-

Hey, since it's trans visibility week here's a reminder: your body belongs to you.
As a trans person that's been out for twelve years, and who has been considering HRT seriously for the last two now, I've noticed a pattern that happens on terms of how people, even supportive people engage with me around my gender.
People get uncomfortable when I assert my right to change my body in ways they don't find appealing.
This happens particularly with family members and partners, but I've also had strangers on the street and coworkers occasionally make comments.
When I first stopped waxing and shaving, it was unease and disapproval of my body hair.
When I wore my hair very short it was complaints over how confusing it was, how pretty it was long. Now that the top part's long again, I get complaints that it's dyed, that I've shaved the sides.
Last year, when I told my partner at the time that I was starting to think about T, I got a lot of objections. They thought I was going to see if vocal training would do enough for me, did I really think I'd be able to grow facial hair, I was dreaming if I thought I'd build muscle, there were other things we could try about my bottom dysphoria.
They were relieved I don't want top surgery, because they would be sad if I got rid of my tits.
When I told a relative recently, she was largely supportive, but couldn't help sliding in "I hate facial hair."
Well I'm not building this body for you, Janet.
The underlying connection between all these comments is:
I don't want you to change your body in ways I find personally unappealing/unsexy/or somehow bad.
My body is not public property.
I'm not a billboard to sell you hamburgers, a projection screen for your porngraphic fantasies, or a vessel for the hopes and dreams you had for the future.
I'm a person. My flesh belongs to me. To shape as I so please.
I'm still waffling on a knife edge about testosterone, but I realize the fear that holds me back is this:
What if they're right and I get none of the changes I want but also become undesirable in ways that get me discarded?
It's a real fear. I cannot guarantee T will change my voice, grow me a gay little mustache, help me beef up, or solve my dysphoria when it comes to intimacy.
But what's my alternative?
I stay unchanged in a body that some days I don't recognize in the mirror, with a voice that sounds like I stole it from the lost and found until time inevitably changes this meatsuit in ways that also render me undesirable?
Some choice.
There's a lot to be discussed about gender essentialism and the ways white supremacist beauty standards can influence what we as trans people deem as "necessary" for our gender expression when it comes to medical transitions.
But if the discussion boils down to "if you seek medical transitions in any way you're giving into the binary and cissexism," then we're stripping bodily autonomy completely from the conversation.
And honestly, I resent the idea that I'm playing into the gender binary by wanting bodily changes that make me *more* ambiguous by our currently defined standards of gender, not less.
And I resent the ways those arguments only seem to come into play to push me *not* to pursue changes that could make me comfortable in my body, but "hey babe, gender is all a performance, go for it" never pops up when I express the desire to wear plunging chiffon gowns to expose a thick thatch of chest hair that's sprouted between my tits.
I have the right to shape this body of mine however I see fit, my body is not a rental, I don't need to preserve its resale value, I'm here for life.
Your body isn't a rental either, and you can't resell it. Make it up to be your dream home.

My gender is either:
- bog witch
- gremlin
- comet (the space thing not the reindeer)
- sad ghost
- what
Sometimes they combine into a gender casserole and fuck up my insides.

Was leaving the hospital today after getting X-rays, hobbling along with my cane. And than someone stops by me as I'm getting close to my car. And tells me that they love my outfit. This bright green crop top, super groovy colorful pants, a green flower cardigan, and a purple floral cane.
And me how do I react. I hit a pose, hand dramatically on my hip. And go, "It's very gay, isn't it!"

Hey rewrite your oc stuff
responding to this hours later because i uh. took a while to revise this lmao
Okay so! Technically not talking about any specific ocs here, but rather my personal project world. I got sent an ask about bug dragons, so I'll start there I think? After some explanation. Essentially this world is entirely removed  from the concept of Earth and humans. Different galaxy, different planet, different life. It's still in. very early stages so a lot of things are subject to change, a lot of things I'm still working on. Though this is sort of misleading; I've been working on this world, in it's vaguest sense, since late 2016/early 2017 ish. The most recent iteration started I believe around the start of 2021? But I've been giving it a lot more focus in the past couple of months. It's also turned into a partly speculative biology based project. Gaining an interest in specific subjects does that to yah I guess.
So, bug dragons. What are they? "Bug dragon" refers to a large number of species, mainly those that would be classified as athropods and annelids. They aren't technically insects, though they do, in part, replace insects here. Like the aforementioned phylums, they encompass species with and without flight and worm-like species. There are, additionally, a small number of species that make up some of the sophonts in this world. They're uh. currently unnamed, though two have designs that are mostly set in stone? The classification that distinguishes specific species of sophonts from one another is whether or not they're "true" bug dragons. True bug dragons have no capacity to transform, but the other species do. The only species with the capacity to transform are sophonts, since they're the only ones that developed a need for it.
I should also note, coming back to the fact that this is completely removed from Earth, human languages don't exist. It'll take a lot of time and effort for me to get even vague individual constructed languages down, but if anyone is interested in this I'll try to make things as clear as possible. Uh, "bug dragon" is also technically a temporary term, for the previously stated reasons, but I think it's a perfectly viable name for them from a human standpoint, so I'll probably keep referring to them that way.
Tumblr media
id: An image depicting various bug dragon sophonts on the left, with text describing what each are on the right. The top one shows a species of winged bug dragon with a long body, six legs, and a tail ending in a stinger. The text reads; "Species of bug dragon with the ability to transform. They come to just over 7 feet." The middle one shows two characters from different species transformed. One of them is shown to stand bipedally, with four sets of arms. The text reads; "Concepts for two bug dragons, both transformed. Their transformation resembles one of the other sophonts, though they keep their insect-like appearances." The bottom one shows one character of a species of true bug dragon, she stands on four legs, with a set of arms hidden under a coat pinned at the neck. She's almost bird-like in shape, and has a tail and what resembles rabbit ears. The text reads; "Species of "true" bug dragon as shown by A'rei's concepts. They come to around 4 feet."
