my favorite thing about tori is that her super power is social engineering but her nerf is being simultaneously strangely unlikeable and poorly socialized. shes a genius of manipulation who cannot make friends with people. she can convince anyone of anything except she cannot convince anyone she is a normal person. she is both bizarrely offputting and incomparably convincing. its like she has a time/proximity effect where the longer she is around someone the worse her interaction with them will go, but if she can convince you of something in the first 5 minutes or so and then dip she wins every time. this is what keeps me coming back to her. i cant get enough of that beautiful paradox.

my early concept for tori was "being a normal person should seem like a skill when around the Weirdest People On Earth" but then somehow she, too, became extremely weird. she's an extremely gifted grifter as long as she doesn't try to sell herself as being normal because she can't for more than about 5 minutes, but she thinks she is a normal personal selling herself as a weirdo

Did you all know that restoring bogs could help slow climate change? They trap a lot of carbon in the peat, and they are places where only certain plants grow. They also create lots of cover for bugs, birds, and other creatures. Bring back the bog!

Reskinning creachers for my dnd character Cyphe to summon. She’s a necromancer for plants Paleobotanist! I’ve redone her spells with some botany flavor except the conjure/summon ones.

My methods: buy manual on trees and shrubs w 10,000 species. Read through all the A’s. Pick some cool ones, turn ecology into character notes. I need to mod these a bit with my dm.

Fetid was the only word that came to mind. Noxious, perhaps. He’d learned the hard way it was as unpleasant as it seemed. He had always loved bulrushes and had reached for one without thinking. In his defense, Meketi bulrushes didn’t typically hide spiked traps at their roots.

They’d bandaged it just fine, but that would teach them to keep out of the deeper waters. He leaned on a nearby rock as he talked, shifting weight off the injury. ❝That Auntie Ethel knows her way around a spell clearly, but that doesn’t mean she’s a danger to Mayrina. I don’t know; I feel like we're missing something.❞
