new ride kamens dropped, rui, who is definitely a horobi homage; another cool choice, but at the same time, kinda wish it was someone else 'cuz now we got two zero-one homages with hayate's jin, when the trend had been one rider for each season until him, and people started claiming that takahashi must be playing favorites

aw, I was actually pretty jazzed to see it was Horobi! I think it opens up some interesting possibilities if it isn't only one-per after all, and I'm excited to see if there's gonna be something with him and Hayate or not. plus I just really like his design

(also, not to be all cynical, but. this exists because of a corporate trend-hop with a franchise that is already sorta notorious for executive meddling. I would be...let's say very surprised if Takahashi had that level of control over what riders were included, versus being handed a list to work off of that the execs had already determined would appeal to their target demographic. c'mon.)

Every day I'm driven more insane by The First Shadow because it confirms so much just by existing, let alone the actual content of the show.

The team really went "No, no. You don't have all the information about Henry yet. We intentionally kept that from you. Also, all the adult characters? Yeah. They knew him. They all fucking knew him, which is why we couldn't have any of them be present in ST4. Kept that one from you too."

Just by making the play they confirm that there's at least another hour's worth of content at least tangentially related to Henry's story. We're missing so much about him if we just go off what we see in ST4.

Just by the synopsis, they tell us that Henry is already running from something, a Shadow that predates Hawkins and the Creel house. They also confirm that Henry might even have had friends. That some of those friends may have been the main adult crew. There are people who ought to remember him.

Like be serious. Be so so incredibly serious. Mindblowing.

How's the weather in Hyrule? It's been very cold where I live, but it hasn't snowed at all. I don't mind the lack of snow, but the cold makes me stiff, so I've been staying inside where it's warm and knitting hats.

Wind: Knitting hats sounds pretty neat! Malon likes to knit too. And crochet. Or crochet? Not sure what the difference is, honestly.

Wind: Ok, we got like a sprinkling, a spritz, a dusting of snow on Christmas Day and it's all since melted and it sucks. Like I expected warmer weather back home with Grandma and Aryll, but here it's always damp and chilly so it should snow dang it.
