HQ headcanon that bokuto , kuroo and oikawa are those students who'll 'sometimes' doze off in class, barely make the submissions on time, and will always study at the last possible moment and still end up acing their exams and it pisses off akaashi, kenma and iwaizumi cause they are the diligent students. like hell oikawa *always* borrows iwa's notes and ends up scoring higher than him , akaashi still doesn't believe that bokuto has never scored below 85 (yes that failed math test was an exception) and even tho kenma knows that kuroo is technically a nerd, his interest only lies in chemistry and a little bit in mechanics but he always ends up getting the perfect score and helping out ken by giving him notes and pointers.

BoKurOi college AU hcs

Bokuto, Kuroo, and Oikawa all end up being roommates in college. Oikawa knows them through volleyball, but he's not as close to them as Bokuto and Kuroo are, so he's a bit worried it'll be awkward, but Bokuto and Kuroo are immediately like, "Nah, bro. We're homies now. We're ride or die. We're the Three Amibros now," and just adopted Oikawa before he could do anything about it.

With volleyball and classes and the fact that they all live together, they're practically around each other all the time. Not only that, since all of them are super physical and don't give a fuck about what people think, they're always holding hands and cuddling and hugging and giving each other platonic kisses too, so at some point, everyone just thinks they're dating and haven't mentioned it. But then at a party or something, someone mentions how nice it is to see the three of them in a relationship together and they're all like, "What?!?!" but then after, all of them are like, "But what if we were all dating?"

That then leads to an extended period of each of them secretly pining for the other two and gay panicking every time they get physical and trying to make it not awkward because they're certain that the other Amibros don't feel that way, but in reality, they all do, but are too scared to speak up and ruin their friendship. (There's also a lot texting and calling of the best friends too. All three of the best friends are so done.)

Then, one day, they end up at another party and they get wasted, but manage to make it home, so it's all good. But in their drunken state, Bokuto starts confessing about how much he loves Kuroo and Oikawa, and Kuroo and Oikawa are like, "Bro, same! We love each other too!" But drunk Bokuto is crying and like, "Nooo! I mean I love love you guys! I love you guys so much! You guys are my best friends and I love you so much, but I want to go on dates and hold hands and kiss your faces and shit!" and now, Kuroo and Oikawa are like, "Broooo! Same!!!" and they drunkenly agree to that they're all boyfriends now, but then they also pass out for the night, so yeah.

The next morning, they wake up together in bed, which isn't unusual, but it's clear something is different now. All of them remember bits and pieces, but they're not sure if what happened really happened and that it wasn't all some sort of dream they had. They all want to talk about it, but once again, they don't know if it really happened and they don't want to make things weird, so all of them keep quiet again and this time, it's worse, because now they're all avoiding each other too, which is like, near impossible since they're around each other all the time.

Eventually, everyone picks up the fact that something is really wrong with them because they're usually all together and they're usually all pretty chipper, but they've all been oddly quiet and distant. It's also starting to affect their volleyball playing a bit, so the coaches and captain pull them aside one day and are like, "You three need to figure this all out or no one's playing." So they go back home together and it's still awkward, but now, they're all sitting around trying to figure out how to begin, when Oikawa surprises them all and starts talking first. He talks about how when he first met them, he thought he may have been intruding on their friendship since they were already close, but they welcomed him with open arms and made him feel so loved and like a part of them, which led to him falling for them. He never brought it up though because he thought that if any one of them were to love each other romantically, he figured it would be the two of them and not him.

That's when Bokuto and Kuroo jump in and are like, "Nooooo!" and start explaining how much they love him too and now, all of them are crying and screaming about how much they love each other and why they love each other so much. They're all a mess, but they also can't help laughing because they love each other so much and everyone was right about them practically dating already and they all realize how dumb they were for not having realized it before. So now, they're all officially together and of course, when they come out, no one is surprised at all, but they were a bit shocked about how long it too for the three of them to finally figure it out.
