Molly. Kid Cudi has got be cast as Josie's brother, right?! Look how cute Josephine and Franklin are.
Tumblr media
Yes!
That’s them!
Franklin Bagwell and his baby sister Josephine who’re ready to ruin Anthony Bridgerton’s whole life.
And the worst part is: Anthony liked Josie when Edwina introduced them! She’s a software engineer and she was smart, and considerate and he knew Edwina really liked her a lot.
But Frankie Is his nemesis. They did their apprenticeships at the same shop pretty much, before Anthony reopened their family shop. And Frankie was just… it felt as though he was always better than him! They had a slightly competitive relationship and Anthony’s cheeks used to flush and he’d get flustered and nothing ever seemed to bother Frankie. And now it turns out he made a pass at Kate?! Unbelievable!
Anthony does feel pretty smug about the fact that Kate wasn’t interested at all in Frankie but she’s engaged to him, and they have a son together: who’s the sweetest, smartest most handsome baby in the entire world.
It is annoying to watch Frankie give Edmund a high-five at Josie and Edwina’s engagement party though, chuckling at him.
“Ant-o!”
“Hi, Frankie.” Anthony sighed, tucking his arm tighter around Kate’s waist.
“Mate, I have to say: your son’s a neat little guy. Very cute, must take after his Mum hey?” He winked at Kate who rolled her eyes.
“He looks like me!” Anthony hissed, scooping Neddy up who’d been swaying on his still unsteady feet in front of them. “Though yes, we’re both Mummy’s boys.”
“Papa!” Edmund giggled leaning forward to kiss him on the forehead just as he watched Kate do.
“Neat, man.” Frankie grinned, “Kate if you ever wanna make this a real family affair, let me know.”
“I might stick with Ant-o but thanks for the offer.” She said dryly.
“Breathe, Man. I’m joking.” He slapped Anthony on the shoulder, before striding away calling out “Mary Sharma you look more beautiful every time I see you!”
Anthony spun around nudging Edwina with his foot, “You did this to us! You brought him into our family!”
“Again: Kate brought you in so the argument could be made that it was already ludicrous.” Edwina said swatting him away.
“If it helps, I’m sorry.” Josie said, clearly not at all apologetic,
“I liked you Josie, but your brother is my arch nemesis and so we can’t be friends. I’m sorry it has to be this way.”
“But we started that movie club together.”
“And I obviously love our Bollywood nights trying to watch these two’s favourites but we’ll never be more than that.” Anthony sighed, “Don’t try and tempt me.”

Maestro Hiccups 3: Chaos Incarnate Ch 3
Y/N narrowed their eyes. Wherever they were going, and whatever they were doing had SOMETHING to do with the sudden earthquake. "Fortune favors the brave..." you mutter, quickly giving chase to the children.
You soon found out that the kids were very...fast for their age. After at least 3 turns you had lost them to the crowd of people passing by. You pant as you try to see where they could have gone, when you accidentally bump into someone. 'That's the second time today!!' You thought as you look at your assailant. As it turned out, it was a much older woman with brown hair and an orange jacket with a hood.
"Sorry! I didn't see you! I was trying to get to solid ground after the Earthquake. I didn't mean to bump into you." She said apologetically. "It's alright. I was actually following someone." You admit "Oh really?" The woman said "Yep. Maybe you can help me out." You say. "Alright! By the way, my name's Aria. You must be new in town." The lady named Aria said. "Yep I'm Y/N. My first day here and already stuff is happening." You joke.
Aria chuckles at your quip when another earthquake rattles the earth "WHOA!!!" you both shout. Falling to the ground. Suddenly, the clouds seemed to swirl in the sky as thunder cracked from them "What the heck?!" You shout, looking up at the lightening bolts that shot through the air...that were multicolored? "Um...You see that too right?" You ask, but Aria's eyes seemed to look on in terror. "Oh no. This isn't good..." she muttered
"What isn't good?" You ask, taking another look at the sky...only to see that the clouds littering the sky all had multi-colored patterns, from rainbow polka-dots to oddly colored argyle. "Did I eat something before I got here...or is the sky actually doing that?" You ask. "Nope. I see it too. C'mon, we have to get to them before things get worse!" She cried out, grabbing you hand.
Your head was now spinning with questions. Who was 'Them'? And what did they have to do with the strange sky? Whatever it meant, Aria seemed to have answers. Suddenly, the ground began to shift and swirl before it transformed into a large Slip-n-Slide pad...with holes that seemed to go to infinite abysses in it. "OK. What the HECK is going on?!" You yell out, trying to avoid the holes "Well...it's sorta complicated." Aria said, her leg just INCHES away from falling into a hole.
"Trust me. Whatever it is. It HAS to explain THIS." You said, narrowly avoiding slipping into the infinite abysses below. "Maybe I should wait till we're on solid ground?!" Aria shouted. The two of you made it to the end of the Hole filled Slip-n-Slide, and found yourself at fork in the road...literally.
On the one hand, there seemed to be a bollywood musical taking place, while on the other, was a large graveyard...and it was raining chocolate milk? Aria sighed "Oh dear...I guess they got a bit stronger this time." She said in fear. You didn't know what she was talking about, but all other ways through had been blocked by...giant rainbow mushrooms.
Aria belongs to @shadowqueen402

Hey ris, i was reading this one unfinished wattpad em fic where eren slaps mikasa on the face out of anger. He hit her, but he instantly regretted it afterwards. This had me thinking, how do you progress from that?
I know you dont condone violence!! but i wanna ask, STRICTLY from a narrative perspective as an author how would you progress the story and ems relationship if that (eren hitting mikasa) was a plot point in your fic?
(I’m at a blank trying to imagine how id continue the story its so hard but then again theres a reason im not a writer 😅)
Hope ur having a great day!!
Hi boo! This is such an interesting question~
I think there are two possible directions I would consider taking the story:
1. This is pretty bleak and depressing but, maybe Mikasa would forgive him. Or maybe he is abusive and she accepts it, and blames herself for why he hits her. This is an interesting direction to go if you wanna explore the psyche of a victim who is gaslit into believing they deserve their abuse. So eren could end up getting worser or he might even ask her “why don’t you ever stop me? Do you like being treated this way?” Which is the ultimate gaslighting tbh, and it’s very depressing, ok I’m done with this idea it’s making my heart hurt.
2. This kinda reminds of the Bollywood movie Thappad! Thappad means slap in Hindi; it’s a movie about how this urban hoursewive’s life falls apart after her husband slaps her (only once). He slaps her in front of a room full of people because she tried to break up an argument between him and his boss at a party they were hosting at their house.
Basically she completely withdraws from him and leaves after the incident. The worst part is that the guy isn’t properly apologetic even (it’s a commentary on the entitled, arrogant behaviour of men in Indian households, especially towards their housewives), and he tries to just brush it off. Society and family also tell her to just look past it bc it is “just one slap” and “a really small issue that she is blowing out of proportion”. But she actually sticks to her ground and says it doesn’t matter if it is just one slap, she didn’t deserve it. It’s actually a wonderful story about a woman’s fight for respect and happiness and how society expects her to compromise on both. Anyway, long story short, after a lot of dirty behaviour on his part, she manages to get a divorce. But at the end the ex-husband finally gets some sense and apologises thoroughly and vows to become a man that will someday deserve her.
So yeah, I think this kind of an ending where Mikasa leaves him and he has to understand all the ways he has wronged her, with concerted effort on his part + a loooong journey on his part to get her back would be interesting to explore!
I wonder what the author was going for tho 🥺 ahh this is why I love unfinished stories so much they really leave us thinking 💕 wish you an awesome day too!!

She Needs To Know
Tumblr media
Summary: Druig is not ready to tell you the truth about his "college friends". But when they come over, chaos ensues
Pairing: Druig x Reader
"Angel, can you pass me the Paprika?" Druig asked out loud, stirring a boiling pot.
You snake one of your arms around his waist and look at him.
"Here you go, my love." You said, offering your free hand that held the spice.
He kisses the side of your face as he grabbed the spice.
"Try." Druig commanded, offering a spoonful of the sauce to you.
You take a taste of it, rolling your eyes behind your skull.
"That's so good. They're going to love it." You said, leaving the kitchen to collect the bowls for tonight's event.
Druig's old college friends were visiting tonight and you were excited to meet them. Your boyfriend never really talks about his past, and you felt off because you didn't know much about Druig as you moved in with each other.
He felt apologetic and arranged a night for his friends to meet you so you're much more eager to know him better by his friends.
A few minutes later, you hear a knock on the door.
"I'll get it!" You said, running to the front door. You were then greeted by a young woman, a young man, and a preteen.
"Hi! I'm Sersei, it's so much to meet you! This is my boyfriend Dane and Sprite, my niece." Dane smiles brightly at you and Sprite (who looks like they want to be anywhere else but here) shows a sarcastic smile.
"It's so nice to meet you all! " You said, welcoming them in.
"Here's a little housewarming gift for you and Druig. He was was so happy when he told our friends he was moving in with you." Sersei said, offering you a vase of flowers.
"Aw, thank you so much! They're beautiful." You said, placing them on a small table.
"So this is where the infamous Druig lives?" a voice boomed in the room. You all turn around and see that famous Bollywood actor you've seen in movies at the door frame.
Sprite grunts at his presence as Druig comes out from the kitchen, slightly looking annoyed.
"Kingo..." Druig said, almost dreadingly.
"You need to be careful about keeping the door open, any stranger can just walk in." He says, closing the door.
You lean in to Druig and whispered lowly. "You didn't tell me one of your friends is a celebrity!"
"Believe me, you have no idea." Druig whispered back as he began to greet his friends.
A while later, Thastos and his husband arrived as well as Gilgamesh and Thena. You've noticed how all of them had similar names to ancient myths. It's not like they were thousand years old, right?
Ajak and Makkari came in as well as Ikaris (whom you know Druig never favored him for some reason) and you all scattered around the living room area to eat dinner.
A bunch of stories was passed left and right, it was so hard to even hear half of them
Gilgamesh's voice rose from the rest "Remember when we went to Cambodia and Kingo thought it was funny to chase that devi-"
Druig shoots a warning glance to his friend as he choked on his words.
"I mean, the water buffalo all by himself?"
You turn to look at Druig, and he simply shakes his head no. Not understanding why your boyfriend isn't opening up, you excused yourself to the kitchen to fill your empty cup of wine.
Just before you enter, you hear Dane and Phastos' husband, Ben, talking.
"Do you think she knows?" Dane asks.
"I don't think so. I feel like Druig wants to tell her but with all of them together in their space? He's not ready." Ben said.
You walk into the kitchen and you see them stiffen up by your presence.
"I'm sorry that I eavesdropped, but what are you guys talking about?" you ask, placing your hands on your waist.
Dane coughs in his mouth, trying to find the right words.
"I think it's best if you ask all of them out there." Dane suggested.
You storm back to the living space and everyone falls silent as they see your angry state.
"Dude, I think she knows." Kingo whispered loudly to Druig.
"No, actually. I don't. All of you have been speaking in riddles this past night and my boyfriend here refuses to even let me know what school you all went to!"
"Columbia University."
"Princetown"
Phastos and Sersei said at the same time.
Makkari looks at Druig and signs to him.
"She needs to know"
"Know what?" you asked.
"You can understand sign?" Ikaris asked out loud.
Druig turns to him. "Her grandfather was deaf, so she learned at a young age."
"You're all getting off topic here!" You yelled, being fed up.
Ajak slowly rose from her chair and looks at Druig.
"I think it's best if we show her, if that's alright."
Druig nods his head then lowering it, feeling that the chaos has just begun.
Ajak looks at Sersei, understanding what she needs to do. Sersei walks up to the flowers that she had given you and touches the vase. Within a millisecond, everything had turned to gold.
You stumble, almost falling backward until Makkari ran at striking speed to help you stand up straight.
Your eyes widen as you look around at the people you've invited to your home.
"Who are you?"
Thena looks at you, her features not bothered.
"We're the Eternals, Earth's first protectors."
Ajak took her turn to explain that they arrived to Earth thousands of years ago. Sprite uses her illusion to fill the room, painting you the picture of their many journeys on your planet.
Once they conclude, you look at Druig.
"Why didn't you tell me about this?"
Druig gets out of his seat to stand in front of you.
"I wanted to, so badly. But when the days passed and we were so happy with each other, I didn't want to ruin that. I like our mundane life-"
"Mundane?" you ask, feeling your temper rise.
"That's not what I meant."
"I feel like we need to give you guys some space." Dane said, making his way out the door.
"No." Druig said, his eyes glowing a white gold.
Dane's eyes turn the same shade, but his body looked lifeless as he mindlessly walked back to where he was at.
"Druig!" Sersei shouted, making Druig lose his focus and he lost control of Dane. She rushes over to her boyfriend, checking if he's alright.
Druig turns to you and sees that your slowly walking away from him.
"Angel..." Druig whispered.
"Don't, don't come any closer." You said as you sprint back to your bedroom, with tears in your eyes.
Druig stands there as his friends look at him with pity.
"You all should go. I need to fix this." Druig said, walking over to where your room is.
He arrives at the door and turns the knob, seeing that it's locked.
"Please, open the door." Druig begged.
"What are you going to do, use your powers on me?" you responded.
"I would never do that, not to you." he said through the door.
He could faintly hear a bit of commotion inside and realized you were packing a bag.
With no choice, he knocked open the door with force.
You turn around and see him, almost looking scared.
"Please, don't go." Druig says in a small voice as he could see the half packed luggage on the bed.
"I can't be here Druig, you lied to me." you said, continuing to pack.
He slowly makes his way to you, softly grabbing your wrist.
Not wanting to fight, you give up. Your eyes begin to tear up as you bury your face in his chest. You feel him hug you closer to him, as he too was crying.
"Why couldn't you trust me?" you ask, not wanting to let him go.
"I couldn't trust myself..." he responded as both of you look at each other.
He sits on the bed as you join him at his side.
"I never felt love before. I was full of myself, and I learned how to be much more tolerant." You laugh a little, making him smile.
"It wasn't until I met you, that I came to life. You had this infectious smile and eyes that made me want to melt where I stood. I realized I was falling in love with you. I didn't want to change that feeling because you truly make me a better person. I thought if you knew who I was, you wouldn't want to be with me."
"How could you think that?" you ask, placing one of your hands in his.
Druig looks down at your hands intertwined on his lap.
"I don't age, angel. I can't be the one who you'll grow old with, wrinkles and all. And I knew you were going to find out soon enough, but I wasn't ready to tell you yet."
"Is that why you wanted to bring your friends over, to help you explain?"
Druig bitterly laughs and nods his head.
"Yeah, but I forget how chaotic they are together so my anxiety was building up."
You laugh too, leaning closer to his shoulder.
"Druig?" you say to him, making him look down at you.
"I don't care if you're from outer space or if you won't have gray hair. I love you, and I want you to know that I trust you if you'll trust me."
"Always." Druig said, connecting your foreheads together.
You then hear a knock on the door and you turn to see Ajak
"I'm sorry to interrupt, but we were just checking if you're alright."
You and Druig get up as he was behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist.
"We're better now." he responds, placing his head on your shoulder.
"And if it's alright, I'd love for all of you to stay longer for dinner." You ask.
"Of course! We'd love to know more about you. Makkari has tons of stories of Druig for you to laugh about." Ajak said before leaving.
Druig groans in your ear, making you giggle.
"You also need to apologize to Sersei for controlling her boyfriend."
"It was funny if you look at it another way." he joked.
You didn't laugh this time, only lightly whacking his chest. He makes a fake hurt reaction which made you smile.
He held out for his hand which you gradually took, and walked back to the living room where your new family embraced you.

Note: I rewatched bodyguard (an amazing Bollywood movie btw totally recommend it) and I couldn't stop thinking about how certain (single dilf) characters would react if their child asked a woman (reader who the dilf in question likes) to be their mother.
Warnings: none, slight nsfw mentions ig. Usage of the word mommy BUT NOT IN A SEXUAL WAY
Female reader + she/her/hers + use of Y/n
Dilf reactions: Multi-Fandom
Freaks the fuck out and starts apologizing and asks his kid to do the same. But you're just sort of amused so you look at the kid with a shit-eating grin and go, "I don't know kiddo, it looks like your dad doesn't want me to be your mommy."
The kid turns to him with a complete look of betrayal and he just gawks at you and when he finally snaps out of it and realises what you said he just blushes beet red and says something along the lines of "I would like that very much."
Atsushi, Takimichi, Izuku, Hinata, Twice/Jin, Amajiki, Luck
lowkey wishes he has the guts to call you mommy too.
Izuku, Asashi, Yamaguchi, Sugawara, Takemichi
Plays it very smooth even if he's dying inside. "Oh, you want y/n to be your mommy? Well, what do you say about that?" Will put you on the spot and smile at you in a way that makes your heart sort of melt.
Aizawa, Mikey, Megumi, Mitsuya, Kageyama, Kaminari, Kaneki Ken, L, Langris, Gauche
Doesn't realize what's going on. They're like 'oh cool some kid wants y/n to be their mom' but then they realize the kid is theirs and that you are the person the little one is talking to and they just speed towards you both with an apologetic expression.
Sugawara, Shoto, Kaminari, Yuji, Mello, Draken, Sakusa, Magna
Doesn't get it at first. He's like cool you found a mommy. Oh, wait I'M your daddy so she...and me...and holy shit kid!
Akutagawa, Rindo, Atsuhi, Shinso, Kirishima, Akashi, Izuku, Hizashi, Finral
Probably made their child do it. Bribed them with ice cream.
Oikawa, Dazai, Kuroo, Toji, Mikey, Rindo, Gojo, Light, Tendo, Shigaraki, Yuno, Yami
Saw you with the kids and said how you would make a great mom which made the child say you should be their mommy so technically it's his fault and he screwed your relationship and...wait you're giggling?!
Izuku, Shinso, Megumi, Yamaguchi, Mitsuya, Kenma, Daichi, Iida, L, Atsushi, Chifuyu
Smirks at you suggestively even if he's a little nervous. According to him, this is the best idea the kid has had all day. When he realizes you agree, he pulls you aside while whispering something about your duties as the new woman of his family and he had to see if you could handle them.
Sukuna, Toji, Dazai, Kuroo, Ran Haitani, Ukai, Gojo, Hanma, Dabi
Was going to yell at the child and apologize profusely to you until they heard you laugh and kneel down to talk to the kid, even making plans for a play date tho he swore you looked up at him when you said the word date.
Bakugo, Tsukki, Nanami, Near, Iwaizumi, Tanaka, Nishinoya, Chuya, Baji, Asta
Stands there awkwardly and lets the child do whatever because he should stop the little thing, but he also wants to see how this plays out.
Ushijima, All Might, Enoshita, Ranpo, Juuzou, Bokuto, Natsu, William Rindou, Saiki, Nozel
Literally hired you as a babysitter so they sort of called it, just goes along with it and look at you expectantly. If you don't reply they might as well say "yeah kid she's already your mommy" knowing exactly what it implies on their part.
L, Tsukki, Dazai, Geto, Mori, Sanzo, Kisaki, Toshinori, Hanma, Karma
Excuse any spelling errors since I did this on my phone.

Pairing: Steve Rogers x Desi!F!Reader
Warnings: deals with racism
Genre: Fluff, Angst
Requested: Nope
Summary: Steve sees Y/N for the first time and instantly falls in love, finally getting the date he wanted 6 months after meeting her. When they go to a restaurant, though, things go downhill.
Author's Note: Hiya peeps! This one is for my desi readers lmao but everyone is allowed to read (pls do lol). Enjoy!
---
"Yeah, excuse me, one second—"
Bucky and Sam waved him off as Steve stepped into the balcony at Bucky's place, taking out his phone which was ringing. As he stood there talking to the person on the other end, his eyes landed on the balcony next-door. His phone nearly dropped from his hand, his eyes bulging, a shocked look on his face.
How come Bucky never told him his next-door neighbor was so pretty?
She was wearing headphones, singing along to the songs as she cleaned her balcony. Only, the songs she was singing weren't English. Judging by the accent and words, his best guess was Hindi. Her voice was angelic, and her looks further confirmed the fact. That woman was going to be the death of him.
"Rogers, Rogers, are you listening?!"
"Uh— yeah, sorry, you were saying?"
After the call ended, he went back inside and towered over Bucky, who was sitting on the couch and having beer with Sam. Bucky raised an eyebrow at Steve's stance; his arms were crossed and he had a glare on his face. "What did I do?" he drawled. "Who's your neighbor?" Bucky blinked.
"My nei— oh! On my right, Y/N. Why, what happened?" Steve groaned and plopped down next to his best mate, grabbing a bottle of beer for himself. "How come you never told me your neighbor was so hot?!" Bucky burst out laughing as Sam stood up, walking into the balcony to check for himself. His eyes, too, went wide and his jaw dropped.
Y/N, when she felt someone's stare on her, paused the music and turned to see an incredibly handsome, dark-skinned man staring at her, jaw dropped. Her cheeks flushed and she lowered her gaze, turning away from him. No way. Why would someone look at her in that way? When she looked back up, no one was there.
She shrugged and continued working, resuming her favorite Bollywood Hits playlist. "Aye, aye Y/N!" Blinking, she looked up again and saw three men standing in the balcony. A white, blond haired man, the previous handsome dark-skinned man and her neighbor, Bucky Barnes.
"Hi Bucky, your friends?" she smiled at him, taking off the headphones. Steve's heart squeezed in his chest at her accent; God, she was breathtaking. "Yeah. Sam and Steve. Guys, this is Y/N Y/L/N." Y/N snorted at that, coming over to rest her hands on the railing of her balcony. "How do you manage to get it right, always? Accent and everything."
"I try my best," he winked at her and she grinned. Bucky, ever since he had moved into the apartment, had shamelessly flirted with her. Y/N didn't like him back, but she got flustered at every single pick up line and Bucky found her endearing. Recently he had stopped but they still talked; he was now like her protective friend.
"How long have you been living in America?" Sam asked her, grinning. "A few years now," she answered, giving him a smile. "Where did you live before moving here?" Steve inquired. "I used to live in Mumbai," she grinned at him. "Nice, nice. Well, I see you're busy right now, how about we go back inside, boys?" Bucky clapped both men on the back and went inside.
Sam followed but Steve stayed where he was. "I heard you singing, you have a brilliant voice," he smiled shyly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Thank you! I actually took lessons, back when I was in India," she laughed, picking up the headphones again as he followed his friends into the apartment.
What had just happened?
---
After that day, Steve's visits to Bucky's apartment became more and more frequent. He often bought gifts for her; tiny things, like her favorite Starbucks order (that he had learnt from Bucky) or flowers, like a true 40's gentleman. Bucky passed on the gifts to her, saying Steve left them at his place to pass them on to her.
Y/N always had the same question on her mind, why? Why would he bring her gifts? Bucky used to suggest that he liked her and wanted to take her out on a date, but Y/N never believed him. Why would Captain America, an American hero, a global sensation, want to take her out on a date?
6 months passed just like that; the boys were back at Bucky's apartment after a gruesome mission, chilling around and having beers. That's when they heard it. A loud shriek came from Y/N's apartment, followed by… more loud shrieks and smashing of glass kitchenware. Steve's blood ran cold; Y/N was in trouble and he needed to do something.
He abruptly stood up and ran out of the apartment, breaking into Y/N's with ease. He didn't expect what hit him, though; Y/N was crouched near the door, her knees pulled to her chest, seemingly cowering away from… nothing? "Steve!" Y/N sobbed when she saw him, immediately getting up and throwing herself into his willing, open arms.
"Y/N? Doll, what happened?" Steve whispered into her hair, rubbing her back, trying to soothe her. Bucky and Sam entered the apartment too, looking around for potential danger. "Th-There's a lizard in my apartment… I—" She gulped, trying to keep more tears at bay, "I have a phobia of liz-lizards, please get it out, please," she cried into his shoulder.
Steve didn't laugh. He simply held her close, looking around for the tiny reptile. Sam located it near the window and easily shoo-ed it out, Bucky cleaning the glass that was lying on the floor. Y/N probably dropped the plate in shock and fear. "Y/N, it's gone, you're fine," he smiled, making no move to get her out of his arms.
"Are you sure?" Y/N asked meekly, pulling away from him. She finally realized how close they were standing and blushed; she liked the man too, had liked him ever since Bucky suggested he was into her. Their lips were currently only inches apart. "Yep, I'm sure. Sam got it out of the apartment." An agreeing noise came from Sam and Y/N finally relaxed.
Bucky stepped into the sitting room after throwing away the glass pieces in the trash can that was in the kitchen. "Thank you so much, Bucky." Y/N looked at her neighbor with a smile. "Call me whenever those things bother again, okay? I'm always here for you." Steve watched as Bucky and Y/N shared a hug.
"Thank you for shoo-ing it out, Sam," Y/N said next, turning to his friend. They gave each other a hug, too. "No worries at all," he winked at her and Steve smiled when she blushed. She looked cute when she was flustered. "And finally, thank you Captain America for… keeping me safe," she breathed out, her breath hitching when she turned to her crush.
"Oh, no problem at all!"
Bucky and Sam left the apartment, leaving the two with their obvious tension. "Listen, um, I was wondering… would you like to get dinner sometime? There's a diner nearby, Bucky's friend works there…" "I'd love to get dinner with you." Expecting a hug, she was pleasantly surprised when he leaned in and gave her a sweet peck on the lips.
They shared numbers and Steve left the apartment with a huge grin on his face.
He was finally getting the date he had wanted for 6 months.

"Steve!"
He looked up, grinning when he saw Y/N making her way towards him, dressed in a magnificent red dress. "Doll, you look wonderful," he commented, bringing her in his arms. He pressed a kiss to her cheek to not spoil her makeup, and Y/N giggled at that. "Shall we?" Y/N nodded and the two people entered the diner.
Almost everyone looked up at them, their eyes going wide when they saw Steve. Then their eyes immediately narrowed at Y/N, because who was she? Surely Captain America was not dating an immigrant? Y/N's brows furrowed and she unconsciously shifted closer to Steve, who hadn't noticed anything.
"Hi, I'm Adam, your server for the day. What would you like to order?" Steve and Y/N went over the menu and Steve gave his order first. Y/N's voice cracked slightly when she noticed how Adam grimaced at her accent. She had made no point of getting a fake American accent, since she loved her desi one so much.
"Will that be all?" Adam turned to Steve, an eyebrow raised. "Yeah, thanks." Adam went away and Y/N's eyes followed his form. He went back to his friends and talked to them in hushed whispers, which made them all giggle quietly and sneer. Y/N's heart started thudding in her chest, her fear unbeknown to Steve.
Then suddenly, she noticed a young East Asian lady in the bunch who was frowning at the others. Her gaze caught Y/N's and she gave her a small, apologetic smile, nodding her head towards the white people that were talking shit about her. She reluctantly returned a smile; at least she wasn't the only person of colour around.
"Y/N!"
Startled, Y/N turned to see Steve blinking at her. "Hm?" she cleared her throat, giving him a grin. "Is something the matter? I called your name three times and you weren't listening…" Oh God, was this date too boring for her? Should he have done something else? "Sorry, sorry, just lost… what's up?"
They maintained a light-hearted conversation as they waited for the food to arrive. Surprisingly, it was the East Asian woman who brought them their orders. "Hi, I'm Leah, I'm replacing Adam. Here are your dishes." Leah placed the food in front of them. "What happened to Adam?" Steve asked curiously.
Y/N tensed up. "Um, does that really matter? Thank you so much Leah, that will be all for now." Y/N briefly closed her eyes as Leah sympathetically patted her on the shoulder, going away. "Y/N, is something the matter? You've kinda been on the edge ever since we walked into the diner," Steve asked finally.
"You wouldn't get it," Y/N muttered, prodding her food. "What? Try me, tell me, please," he insisted, eyes going wide when Y/N's filled with tears. "Just eat your food, Steve." Heartbroken, Steve only watched as Y/N gulped down her food through the tears.
Leah was watching the couple and she sighed when she saw Y/N crying. Wiping her hands on her apron she walked up to the couple and stood next to them. Y/N didn't look up, but she could tell it was her. "Is everything okay?" Steve asked her, now getting irritated. "I know what happened to her, sir."
Steve blinked. "What is it?" he asked, desperate for answers. "I replaced Adam because he was being a racist jerk. Everyone working here, in fact, is looking at you two weird. You can't help but notice the stares, speaking as a POC. You wouldn't get it, Mr Rogers, you're the pinnacle of America, a blond, white man. We have it rough."
He turned to see Y/N desperately hiding her tears as she tried (and failed) to choke down the food. "My coworkers were talking about you two. Why would Captain America want to go out with an immigrant? Why doesn't he settle for a nice, white lady, that's more his type. I'm sorry about that," Leah spoke quietly, toying with her hands.
Steve's entire being filled with rage like he had never felt before. He pushed himself off the table and stormed past Leah, who sat next to Y/N and tried to console her. Y/N's tears ceased when the palm of Steve's hand connected hard with Adam's cheek. Everyone in the diner froze. "How dare you," Steve breathed out.
Adam clutched his cheek, paralyzed with fear. "How dare you talk about my date like that? Who I like or hate is none of your business. Not any of your business!" He yelled the last line. "If I ever, ever catch you talking about my love life again, any of you, you'll be sorry you were ever born!" With that, Steve returned to his table.
Pulling out his wallet, he paid for his untouched and Y/N's half-eaten food, handing the money to Leah with a smile. "Thank you," he told her sincerely, helping Y/N into her coat. "No worries, sir. You two make a cute couple," Leah chuckled, waving as the two walked out of the diner. Y/N, as soon as they were outside, threw herself in Steve's arms.
"I'm sorry for ruining our date," she mumbled into his neck as his arms went around her waist, bringing her close. "You didn't ruin anything, doll. How about next time, we meet at my place and order takeout?" he suggested, pulling away and wiping Y/N's face with his fingers. "I'd like that a lot."
"Let me drop you home, come on." With a soft kiss placed on her forehead, the two walked back to her apartment building hand-in-hand.

So THIS is the apology? This ADULT man...a fully grown ADULT throws around a couple of half-assed sorry messages to people and then has the audacity to retweet ONE Indian dude who says he doesn't care?
His intentions are very clear. He knew what he was doing and he isn't apologetic AT ALL.
THIS IS NOT ACCOUNTABILITY
THIS IS NOT AN APOLOGY
GMMTV GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER
P.s. For whatever reason, if you choose to continue watching this show please know that it is alright. But please also know that there is NOTHING WRONG with calling out your favourite shows for problematic behavior.
Edit: This man also retweeted another Indian person's tweet that said this was a sweet nod to Indian fans and Bollywood. I swear our people really get on my nerves sometimes.
Edit 2: And now he's blocking all the people who are calling him out. Now no matter what anyone says I REFUSE to believe this wasn't intentional. Yesterday, I gave them the benefit of doubt and thought it was just ignorance. After all this I have understood that their intentions were indeed to mock and make fun of another culture, which happened to be from my country. I am now certain this person wouldn't hesitate before doing the same thing with other cultures. He deserves zero support.
Honestly, I stopped watching the show when I saw that one of the main leads is 17. I know a lot of people think 17 isn't a huge deal as it is very close to adulthood, but I was uncomfortable and I just decided to stop watching. I only watched Ep 4 part 4 after I saw all the tweets, and man, just when I thought this show couldn't get anymore disappointing.
