I’m Not Sure I Want to be a “Best Fan Ever” Anymore.

Starz is laughing at “the best fans ever”. The showrunners are laughing at us. Our love of Outlander - for all its ups and downs - has kept us here. More exactly, Sam and Caitriona have kept us here. Although sometimes, when we read about horny grannies, mommies and crazies, I wonder why.

15 months between an already filmed content? Why? Because they can. I think the fall off of fans, the Starz takeover, and the “I can't even remember what happened in 7A” will, unless they are very careful, make sure S8 goes out with a fizzle, not a BOMB!

Whoever decided BOMB was a good idea is taking the piss. Are we to be subject to the pre-sequel before S8? I think the answer to that is pretty apparent.

To ensure viewers for S8 - they are expecting us to take on their crumbs. Making more money off the backs of us, TBFE.

I’ve said it before, I won’t watch BOMB and, at this stage, I feel that I don’t want to give Starz any more of my hard-earned.

After 10 years of following OL, a book reader from my college days, it was a joy when I watched S1 - with trepidation as I imagined the usual TV hatchet job - falling in love with Jamie and Claire and, because of them, ignoring some of the glaring changes and weak scripts because there was enough good stuff to keep us watching.

I never thought I’d say I am now happy it will soon be over - I think we’ve had the piss taken out of us for long enough. Well done Starz, well done showrunners, you’ve done the impossible, and you’ve made me glad it’s nearly The End.

Sad, sorry and hugely disappointed.😒

The game "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes" but it's a real bomb and Whumper wants to see if Whumpee and their teammate(s) really are as united and well communicative as they say

(For context KTANE is a game where one person has access to the bomb but not the manual and the other has the manual but can't see the bomb and they have to solve the puzzles, ciphers and codes to disarm it by verbal descriptions alone)

CW: Bomb/suicide bombing

"You kidnapped me to make you these, how the fuck does this surprise you?" Whumpee howled with laughter, arms spread and revealing their pieced together bomb vest. "You should have counted your inventory better!"

It felt- good- powerful- no... EUPHORIC to see the color drain from Whumper's face as they stared back, jaw slacked in shock to the point their own cigarette fell on their lap, burning them out of their daze.

"Whumpee... Let's talk about this..." Whumper slowly started, standing from his seat at the poker table only to stop as Whumpee shook the detonator remote in their hand.

"Move again and I press it."

For once, Whumpee held the high ground, forcing Whumper back into their seat.

"I want every gun on the table." Whumpee commanded, high on the power they held in their hand. "No sudden movements or we are all dead."

Whumper's henchmen stared at their boss a moment, only moving when Whumper gave a small nod. Pistols, bullets, and rifles piled on top of cards and chips no longer needed. Now they gambled in lives.

"You know I can't let you escape." Whumper kept their hands in the air, head turned to stare at Whumpee. "You've seen to much."

"Oh you have made it VERY clear I am not leaving this place alive." Whumpee cackled. "And I've come to terms with that. But now I have the chance to take all of you fuckers with me."
