Okay, I got a lot of interest in posting this. So here's a little thing I wrote with Bombalurina and my OC Calfuray!
Background: Takes place a few days after Bombalurina leaves Macavity. Calfuray is mates with a Macavity hench cat.
“I knew you would be up here,” Bombalurina remarks, but Calfuray doesn’t acknowledge the red Queen’s presence. Calfuray is huddled against the brick wall lining the rooftop, arms wrapped around herself as though she’s trying to hide from the world.
“Not really anywhere else to go.” Calfuray mutters to herself, but Bomba still hears her, the silence on the roof loud enough that Bomba can hear the nervous tapping of the purple Queen’s claws against the hard floor.
Bomba sits herself next to Calfuray, who doesn’t budge from her position. It’s a rare moment where Bomba gets to talk with the other Queen alone, with Calfuray’s mate having her practically under lock and key. But when he’s away on a job, the purple Queen always finds a way up on the roof despite Macavity and the hench cat’s best efforts to keep the area locked down.
The two sit in silence for awhile, Calfuray still nervously moving her body around, clearly bothered by something. Bombalurina wants to ask her what’s wrong, but doesn’t want to make the Queen uncomfortable by bringing up whatever happened to make her so fidgety.
“I hate the way that thing looks at me.” Calfuray blurts out of nowhere, and Bomb is caught off guard by the usually silent Queen's outburst.
"Who-" Bomba starts to ask, but Calfuray continues.
“Macavity. I hate him. The look he gave me earlier today when he and Jonathan were planning... whatever it is that they're planning. It made me sick.” Calfuray says angrily, and Bomba is stunned at how brazenly the Queen is talking about the cat who could kill her with a flick of his wrist if he overheard this conversation.
Had Bombalurina heard all this just a month ago, she might had been offended at the horrific things she was hearing about Macavity. She might have been tempted to tell Macavity about all this, as a way to impress him or show her loyalty to him.
But now, Bombalurina just sits and listens. She can’t blame the other Queen for her deep hatred. Calfuray has certainly been there longer than she has, and Bombalurina can only imagine what the other Queen has been through.
“Bombalurina.” Calfuray finally speaks again, “Why are you still here?”
Bomba is caught off guard by the question, and she stays quiet.
“You have to know by now why Macavity brought you here. He's just... desperate to try and replace Demeter, and he's using you to do that. You don’t deserve that. I know you know that you don't deserve that."
Bombalurina bites her lip, sinking down against the cool red tile behind her. Again, just a month ago, she might have tried to claw Calfuray's eyes out for even insisting that Macavity didn't want her. But she doesn’t know what to believe anymore.
"Go back to that Junkyard place. It's where you belong. I know you're tough, that you can hold your own against the cats who live here. But you don't belong here."
"And you do?" Bombalurina retorts back, and Calfuray lets out a cold, empty laugh.
"It's too late for me." She claims, the bitter defeat evident in her voice, “But it isn’t for you.”
“What makes you say that?” Bombalurina demands to know.
"I’m sure the cats in that Junkyard miss you. But me? I have nothing outside of Jonathan. Nothing outside of this place."
Bombalurina wants to argue with her, try to desperately convince the purple Queen to come with her if she does decide to leave.
But the sudden cackling of laughter and booming voices from the streets below jolts Calfuray to her feet.
"Jonathan is back. I have to go.”
“Calfuray, wait-” Bombalurina scrambles to her feet to try and reach out for the Queen bolting towards the door, but she’s too slow to catch the skittering, terrified Queen this time.

are there any cats in the junk yard that munk struggles to like or to get on with?
He likes absolutely everyone well enough, but can get annoyed with some more quickly than others. Mungo, Rumple, George and Pouncival can grind his gears a bit sometimes, and he's even gotten in a tiff or two with Skimble over some matter or other before. And disagreements are a big reason why he and Alonzo broke up, though he still cares for him very much, and they still argue occassionally. They don't hold grudges though, make up quickly enough. Honestly as I'm writing this I think it might've been easier to list who he DOES get along with easily because he's had a handful of disagreements with Bomba as well, and as much as he adores Aunt Jenny, she can be quite stubborn/insist on having her way even when otherwise would be better which is very frustrating. And of course brothers can annoy each other or misunderstand each other, so there's been times where he and Tugger don't get along either. So like I said he cares for everyone, wants them all safe and happy, but sometimes they really do drive him nuts 😅 he does his best to be pleasant though even when he gets annoyed (and sometimes fails) and when he's driven to proper anger, takes himself out of the room so to speak to calm down. But, he's ashamed to admit, he has yelled at people a couple of times. But if you make Munkustrap yell at you, you probably deserved it LMAO

Cats Warsaw first reaction thoughts, part one: Jellicle Songs through Rum Tum Tugger
Jellicle Songs:
- I’m not a huge fan of the Munkustrap design but I really like a lot of the ensemble costumes! I like the “painted” look of a lot of the bodysuits as opposed to the traditional scribbles. Coricopat and Tantomile look so cute! They’re definitely my favorite costumes so far. Bomba also looks great
- the choreography is really good! It’s very different than the original, doesn’t seem as cat-like but that doesn’t mean I like it any less. I think that this space handles two separate ensembles better than Tecklenburg, the levels are close enough that having non-dancing cats on the upstage platform looks natural.
Naming of Cats:
- there’s one guy whose speaking voice is really deep and it’s cracking me up
Victoria Solo + Invitation:
- this costume has grown on me, initially I didn’t like it.
- they’re all grabbing stars!! I love it! That’s so creative, it reminds me of what Misto does in the Broadway revival.
- Misto’s little jacket is cute lol
Gumbie Cat:
- I like that the actors can climb up the fences
- the Gumbie trio choreography is great! I like that Jellylorum (if it is her) gets a lil blazer and pants, it suits her. Also the faster tempo really works.
- A big feather duster! I was wondering what the fluffy thing on the floor was. I don’t speak polish so I don’t know what the lyrics are saying but I’m assuming she does the cleaning instead of teaching mice and bugs?
- I like this dance break better than the tap dancing ones, I think it’s more creative and visually interesting (not that I don’t love the tapping) the part where they’re dancing with blankets reminds me of the bit in newsies where they dance on the newspapers.
- so far this is my favorite number, it’s completely different than anything I’ve seen yet!
Rum Tum Tugger:
- I really like his voice, not a huge fan of the wig or the costume unfortunately. He’s a great actor and singer though, he’s bringing a lot of character!
- audience interaction can either be super funny or super cringey but this was very funny.
- this whole show but particularly this number has had fantastic staging! It’s very aesthetically pleasing.
- Scene queen Bombalurina is the best thing since sliced bread. Tugger seems genuinely uninterested in her, somehow. She seems so worried about what she’s done wrong when she’s rejected :( girl u deserve someone better. For instance me would you like to get married
- I don’t know who the white + gray queen he dances with is, I’m gonna guess cettie but that’s a shot in the dark.
- again with the top tier choreo! It’s giving disco and I love it
- OMG ROTATING SETS YESSS

Talk more about character misinterpretations it's clearing my skin
I want to note that like...realistically there really *isn't* a wrong way to interpret characters in this show because they really don't have fully developed personalities beyond three words, randomized interactions and blocking, they're blank slates otherwise blah blah blah. That's the long and short of it.
That being said, though:
-Not so popular of a misinterpretation anymore, but the "All the older cats are homophobic so my tuggoffelees fic can have some drama" interpretation drives me up the wall and that trope better stay dead or so help me (Bomba and Munk got this a lot too, but I digress).
It's again falling into that same thing I've talked about before - you know, pushing the undesirable traits on someone else (particularly an authority figure or someone you do not like as much) to shift blame around. You know how you could have had the older cats disapprove of that relationship if you were desperate for a conflict? They don't like Tugger - they very obviously find him abrasive and rude. On the flip side, none of them seem to have any problem with Mistoffelees and celebrate him. There, done, there's your conflict - they don't think Tugger's good enough for him. Sheesh.
-Speak of the devil though, if your only interpretation of any of the cats that are reasonably 40+ is "mom" or "dad" (tongue in cheek not withstanding) and literally nothing else, then I have news for you, pal: you don't suddenly stop being a person after a certain age and you *certainly* don't after you become a parent. Jennyanydots literally has a military tattoo of bugs that she trains - you can't say anything more interesting about her than "caretaker"?? (Also on that note, how are Jenny's 3 words like: Motherly, Controlling, Contented or Fastidious, Complacent, Bossy but then Jellylorum is the one more commonly portrayed as inflexible with the stick up her butt? Make it make sense.) I am not saying they *cannot* be these things, I am saying that they are not *only* these things.
-You know what? Same goes for Munkustrap.
-This has been said before, but Tugger's not dumb. There is never any point in Tugger's song or his performance that indicates he's dumb. Not at all. He does *inconsequent* and *perverse* cat stuff, yes, no logical sense there, but the line literally goes "Artful and knowing". He does stupid stuff on purpose to cause mischief. He is not a himbo. The classification of himbo is dumb, beefy and handsome - Tugger is definitely not two of those things except for *very rare circumstances*.
Is it funny to call him one? Yeah sure. I have no issue with joking around. But again it falls into that "We took one shallow trait and ran with it as far as our legs could take us" crevice.
-Demeter's not helpless. She can hold her own. If any of the other cats are protecting her it's because they *care about her well being*, not because she *needs them to*.
-Also personal pet peeve that only I probably care about, but like, this idea that Demeter "wouldn't be able to stand Alonzo" or whatever when people argue against American and American adjacent productions in favour of demestrap is like...unfounded? The interactions...are identical in both cases. They just swapped the man out. How exactly are you interpreting them completely differently beyond personal preference? It falls back into that "she's unable to hold her own" idea. There is nothing wrong with having a preference for one over the other, that's valid, but...??? You don't need to justify it with an interpretation that is otherwise baseless.
-Grizabella's only real "sin" is that she's prideful. That's it. I will even go so far as to say maybe she's full of herself and a diva. She's not a villain and she's not a poor defenseless thing. She is a woman who has made choices in her life that led her to some bad places, she has reaped the consequences of whatever it was, and she's seeking forgiveness. You can give her further depth from there, but this consistent idea that she was just...terrible or irredeemable or didn't deserve to be forgiven is a misinterpretation of both the character *and* the text. It's the misogyny for me.

Cats Vienna, 24.04.2022
So, just a little bit of writing for today. Just some things I noticed.
I thought it was really fun today. I went with @peterpandiedtoday and the people behind us were fans too, so it was like the inofficial Cats Vienna Fan Club sitting together XD Also: it was full! That may surprise some but I went to shows where the audience was less than 50% full, especially when we had many Corona cases in Austria back in February and March and the actors seemed to really love that they could play infront of a full house again! This show deserves it because it’s amazing!
Some notes for today: First time for me seeing Rhys Batten as Coricopat. Didn’t focus much on him so I can’t say much about his performence tbh.
Also first time seeing Jo Lucy Rackham as Jenny and she was so much fun in this role too (I’ve seen her as Demeter, Rumpleteazer and Carbucketty, she is the super swing!) She seemed very much into the role.
Also first time seeing Denise Jastraunig as Grizabella. She has an amazing voice.
Also first time seeing Alex Snova as Munkustrap. He had some fun parts too, but because he mostly coveres Tugger he seemed a little confused during the Old Deut. song cause usually he sings the other part.
Some small notes:
Chorus Gus/Bustopher kissed (?) Misto’s hand at the beginning when Misto passed him while he was sitting on the pipe in the background. He took the “Küss die Hand” literally. (Short note: At the end of the Bustopher Jones song he says “Küss die Hand” which is a austrian or viennese greeting. Honestly don’t know if Germans use it too. It’s quite old an hardly used today. Some older men from the upper class still use it to great women. The whole phrase is: “Küss die Hand, schöne Frau” (Kiss your hand, beautiful woman, that sound so weird in english, lol). I think the phrase fits the character of Bustopher Jones very well.
Said it before, say it again, Jo was an amazing Jennyanydots. She played her admiration and adoration for Bustopher very well. She also tried to physically hold Tugger back when he made fun of Munkustrap at the beginning of the Pekes and Pollicles.
Munkustrap seemed very angry at Demeter (Giulia Vazzoler) today when she tried to touch Grizabella. Also Demeter spend a lot of time on the side of the Stage looking after Grizabella, then she went to the front of the stage and looked into the audience with sad eyes, while all the Bustopher Jones Chaos started. She seemed quite sad and Tantomile (Anneke Brunekreeft, who played Demeter quite often too and understands her character very well) touched her head two or three times to cheer her up(?) or to focus her attention on Bustopher, but she only turned around when Carbucketty an Bill Baily misbehaved. She also started to smile and sing after that again.
Also when Grizabella came on the stage for the second time, Demeter seems very sad. She stood on the right end of the stage and looked at her/reached out to her. Misto hugged/nuzzeled her leg. That’s also something I saw for the first time.
Vienna also does this short Macavity song before the Jellicle Ball. It is sung by Jenny, Jelly, Bomba and Demeter and while Jenny and Jelly always sound scared, Bomba (Birigit Arquin) sounds very serious. She sounds like a mother who wants to scare her children with a horror story if they misbehave: Like: Kittens, if you don’t behave, Macavity will come and get you. Watch out! Bomba is clearly not scared of Macavity, I would say.
I enjoyed Tugger (Dominik Hees) a lot today. He was very fun. I always like how he looks out for Old Deut. Today he was also very flirty. During his number, when Electra started to scream very loud, Bomba nearly looked offended or shocked.
During the Jellicle Ball there is this section after Big Boys dance Part I, where they ladies dance in a V formation and today Tugger just danced behind Electra (that’s usually not a part of the choreo) and then he went up to another queen (I forgot who) to flirt with her.
Still love the ball, especially the second part after the cuddle pile.
Today I’m jumping: Pekes and Pollicles was also fun. Carbucketty (Johnny Randall) plays the main Pollicle and at the beginning he was distracted by Victoria and Electra, who sit with Old Deut. in the background and Mungojerrie had to remind him where his place was. Also Rumpleteazer (Anna Carina Buchegger) looked very happy when she won the bark battle. On one part when Munkustrap was singing about the british he acted like he was drinking tea, which made me laugh because it’s such a stereotype. At one part he also went up to Cassandra and told her part of the story and she nodded with great interest.
SECOND ACT
Skimbleshanks was played by Gerben Grimmius and in Vienna he is my favourite Skimbleactor. Today he acted out some of the song lyrics which was very enjoyable, he really acted like an old condactor (?) who wanted to know if the passangers wanted their tea weak or strong (back at the tea, also, don’t put whisky in your cat’s tea ... wait don’t give your cat tea at alll!!!!! thou now that I think of it my cat likes the smell of Camomile Tea and sometimes tries to drink it. Don’t let you cat drink you camomile tea either, especially if it’s hot and you still want to drink it. It’s not poisonous to cats but still ...)
Also want to write a little bit about Demeter/Macavity: For me it’s really hard to read the relationship between them because it’s always played a little bit different. I came to the conclusion that while Demeter doesn’t like Macavity, maybe even despises him, she doesn’t seem scared. Also: At the same time she also seems to be drawn to him subconsciously. She sometimes reaches out to him in a similar fashion as she reaches out to Griz.
When Macavity grabs her, Tantomile sometimes tries to hold her back. After she is freed from him, she is usually next to Bomba, with Bomba ignoring her and hissing and clawing at Mac.
After Mac extuingished the lights today a small girl infront of me asked her mum: Is it real? And her mum said: No. which made my laugh way too hard. I hope I didn’t disturb anybody around me, because it’s a rather serious scene.
I want to write something about Misto’s (Stephen Martin Allan) number too but somehow my head is a little bit empty. Tugger was quite fun during this number today. Sometimes he seems bored or not interested in Misto’s Solo dance but today he played it a little more enthusiastic. He also played with Skimble’s tail in the background and Skimble was not amused. Next time I go I have to focus a little bit more on Misto because he has so many small cute interactions with various characters during this number (with Gus, Rumple and Mungo, Vic, Electra ...) and one time I want to write a little more abt. them.
Today Bill Baily really wanted to be chosen as his magic assistent and Munk and Demeter also pointed at him so Misto would notice him but he still chose Cassandra at the end. All three of them looked so disapointed.
What was also funny: After he brought Old Deut back he danced happily and wiggeled around (Allan Misto wiggles a lot) and nearly forgot Cassandra, then suddenly rememberd her and reached his hand out for her, she came back on stage and they bowed together.
Also Tugger was so much hyping him up at the end he nearly looked shocked.
And at the end a short rant: Nicholas Li is an absolutly amazing Admetus/Macavity and the main reason why I like the character as much as I do today. He is also always the first on stage for bows so people sometimes forget to clap for him. They sometimes don’t seem to see that the applaus for all the single characters has started and on some evenings he got hardly any cheers at all (the first one or two times I watched the show I also overlooked him, so no blame on anybody). Most people also don’t know that he also plays Macavity. So now I made it my personal duty whenever I go to clap and cheer as loud for him as I dare because he deserves all the applaus as much as the others.

Random queen headcanon: Jellylorum sometimes resents her role in the Tribe as "the stern mom". She does it, because she knows someone has to, but sometimes she sees the way kittens are with Jenny, or with Bomba, and longs to have that easiness and playfulness that she never seems to be able to get.
It helps that Munkustrap always comes to her whenever he has a problem and clearly finds her soothing and comforting, though.
MAMA JELLY 😭😭😭😭 LET HER BE FUN AND SILLY IT'S WHAT SHE DESERVES

Tell me about Red and Reckless😘
*Gasps* THEY
Alright! Macavity and Bombalurina! Red and reckless! I’m going to get carried away so I’ll add a readmore to save your dash—
I like the think that they’ve been friends since childhood —or at least teenhood. Both of them are the eldest of their litter and know the expectations they have.
Bombalurina was a wild child. She was energetic, snarky and witty for her age. Unfortunately, this got her in trouble a lot. She was used to being told to “make an example”, “Be the big sister Demeter deserves”, “Don’t be so horrid” etc.
Macavity was magic. He was the first magic cat and thus, his parents didn’t know how to deal with him. Old Dueteronomy was mostly absent and Grizabella taught him to be ashamed of it. Obviously, he was encouraged by his brothers, but when he accidentally burned Tugger one day he was shunned by the entire junkyard —Grizabella mostly.
When they met they were pre-teens. Bomba was intrigued at first by their similar colours and they began spending a lot of time together. She encouraged him to use his magic and he stood up for her when she was told to be more proper.
I imagine a very specific scene in which the pair of them sit together on a high point in the junkyard, looking over everything. Macavity’s hands are singed and black from fire and Bombalurina is miserable after an argument with her mother.
They’re mostly silent and only between king periods they talk about how tired they are of their expectations and responsibilities. Then Bombalurina’a ears stand up and she turns to Macavity. “Let’s make a pact!” Macavity is confused by this, but he agrees. They link their pinkies and for the first time that night they both smile.
“From now on, we’re not going to give a fuck.” And they didn’t. After that they stopped censoring themselves. They grew and they had each other’s backs.
In my head it jumps forward a few years and instantly shows the pair of them grown up. They both had a glow up! Macavity became big and strong while Bombalurina grew to be tough and beautiful.
They remained close into their adulthood. They’re often sighted as the friends who make eye contact while others are talking. Silent judgement is their thing.
If one of them isn’t sure whether to do something or not the other one flashes their pinkie finger. Absolutely no one else knows why. It’s always followed by the other one deciding that they will in fact do the thing!
They’re a very touchy pair. Bombalurina will opt to sit on Macavity’s knee if there’s nowhere to sit and Macavity wraps an arm around her shoulders when they sit side by side.
They most likely kissed one time. It ended like this:
Tumblr media
They’re so close it’s made others ask why they aren’t dating. Bombalurina will always respond with something along the lines of: “No way! I like my toms to not be ugly.”
And Macavity will follow it up with “That’s right and I don’t have a thing for fucking bitches.” It’s always a joke and they smirk at each other teasingly.
If the other cat pushes for a real answer they narrow their eyes. “We’re gay.” That normally stops the questions.
Bombalurina is a lesbian and Macavity is bisexual.
It’s no secret that Macavity has anger issues. If he does lose his temper at another cat Bombalurina can shut him down almost instantly. She will jump between them, put a hand on Macavity’s chest and tells him “Look at me. NO”. He simmers down and nods along with her, realizing he has in fact taken it too far. This doesn’t mean Bomba won’t help him get revenge later however 😈
Bombalurina has no trouble getting love struck toms to leave her alone, but if they’re aggressive —or she’s too exhausted to tell them to leave then she’ll simply walk towards Macavity and brush up against him. He’ll realize what’s happening and give the offending Tom a firm “She doesn’t want you. Leave. Now.”
They have each other’s backs always and are inseparable.

some bomba and tugger being besties headcanons?
They love people watching. They have a friendly date night every Wednesday. When Tugger expresses an interest in Misto, Bomba is quick to remind him, quite bluntly but realistically, that he does not deserve him yet. They're there to call each other out on bullshit but are still a support when they get hurt by their own bullshit. It's not the warmest of friendship, but it is an incredible strong and genuine one.

Another short and sweet little headcanon (non-au): even though Demeter is uncertain of herself, and doesn’t think of herself as deserving of a high rank in the tribe, most of the others still respect her just as much as any of the protectors or Head Queens (some for the mere fact that she’s Munkustrap’s mate, and others out of admiration for her tenacity and watchfulness)...and if she ends up taking charge of a situation, they’re all apt to listen to her.
An example of which was one time when Munkustrap had come down with a nasty cold, and was still trying to go about his daily duties.
Demeter stops him instantly when she finds him, worried and wondering where anyone else is who would have smacked some gentle sense into the Guardian (which would have normally been Jellylorum and/or Jennyanydots, but they were at their respective homes).
Demeter: (As she’s feeling Munkustrap’s forehead, and he’s too tired to put up a fight anymore) Alonzo, would you kindly find the twins, tell them to send a message to Jenny that Munk will be out of commission for at least a few days?
Alonzo: (Nods) At once...but where will he be in the meantime?
Demeter: I am taking him back to my den to rest up and be quarantined.  Jemima, could you find Plato and tell him to see if he can’t help take the rest of the perimeter watch?  And go wake Bomba while you’re at it.
Jemima: Yes’m!
Alonzo: (as he’s leaving) I shall let the twins know to help spread the word to be extra vigilant tonight, if that will help.
Demeter: That should be plenty of help; thank you kindly.
And Munkustrap, who’s given up the fight by this point, can’t help but give her an adoring smile as he’s being led off, which she catches.
Demeter: (Amused) Something on your mind, love?
Munkustrap: Just me being proud of how much more assertive you’ve become since you came here.  You know some of the others call you “Lady Demeter”?
Demeter: (Rolls her eyes) Just hurry on, you are becoming delirious now.
But little does she know that it’s true.  Her official tribe title if she has one would be Honorary Protector, but “Lady” would soon become an unofficial title she earns, and she learns to begrudgingly like it. x3

When Demeter is panicking, and is vividly reliving her past with Macavity, how does Munkustrap 'snap' her out of it successfully?
She's never been so far gone that she doesn't recognize her surroundings or anything, but there are times where she freaks out if someone touches her the wrong way or gets in her space without warning. Most of the time it doesn't bother her, but some days it just catches her the wrong way and triggers the panic. Or sometimes if she sees blood or is startled by an unsettling sound it'll bring up a bad memory and make her shaky and dizzy.
At that point she can be prone to guilt spiraling too, hyperventilating or crying, in which case it takes a lot of vocal reassurance and calm words from Munk to calm her down. He and Mungo are pretty much the only two she allows in her space at that point. Bomba is technically allowed as well, but she's not very good at reassurances, so she tends to keep her distance until Deme feels a bit better and then cheers her up with some humor. Mungo can help in a pinch, but normally Munkustrap is the best one to settle Demeter down again.
He reminds her that the past is the past, and she does her best every day to be a good person, and that she's safe, and no she doesn't deserve to be punished, no one does, and that she deserves peace and happiness. He gives her the physical space she needs all the while, keeps guard at the entrance of the den at her request until she reaches out for him or gives him permission to hold her. She tucks her head under his chin and he strokes her back or gently presses a paw to her cheek until her shoulders aren't drawn up so tight. At that point he'll distract her with chatter, or asks her questions about other subjects to take her mind off of things and that usually gets her back to a manageable stress level. Sometimes it works in a matter of minutes, other times it can take a little longer. She usually feels bad for spiraling, apologizes a couple of times, which he insists isn't necessary, and when he can get her to laugh again he knows all is good.

A F G I P for Tugger (I know you normally don't talk about the toms but I enjoy hearing your thoughts) and Victoria!
Let me dispel this now, it is no worries about requesting a tom at all anon(s). If anyone wants one of them or anyone other character, the inbox is open for it. While this blog is mine, it is also a platform for others too. Send them along if inclined, and you will get as best an answer as I can provide (and I will provide a good one - I would think).
Anyway, here it is for Tugger and Vic, with prompts from this post:
A = Aftercare (What they’re like after sex)
Tugger, no matter how much he electrified his partner, always takes time afterwards to make sure they are doing alright and are not too far done. While the sex is full out, and he just gives it to whomever is in his grasp, he has to know they are just as pleased after. Behind some of that bravado is a caring person who is prepared to ensure everyone around him is living their best life. He will lay them down softly and embrace them while they recover, as well as help clean them up if things got messier. Not all of this is necessarily done without a bit of selflessness though, as he is always on the lookout for some praise from his lover. With Bomba, he usually massages her body and tries to loosen her up even more after taking her apart. He also plays with her boobs after if he did not give them attention prior, just because he can and they deserve it. You cannot not get a feel of them. After drilling another tom, he usually does that silent head nod that two dudes do when passing in a hallway after they have both recovered. Like a good job type acknowledgement.
For Vic, please read the previous post that intertwined her post-sex activities with that of her mans Plato. I will add that if she is particularly frisky, she will lick any wayward cum off of Plato in a sultry manner, or pull some of her creampie out on her fingers and lick them clean. Plato, already in a saccharine mental haze, gets even more dizzy at her actions.
F = Favorite Position (This goes without saying)
Tugger likes fucking anyone when they are bent over in from of him. Hitting it from the back allows for him to roll his hips and thrust into his partner like no other position can. Plus, there is a hungriness to his movements like that, and he sometimes pushes whoever is on the receiving end down even more and full out puts his whole body into fucking them into the ground while breathing heavy on their back. It ends up being a hybrid kittystyle / pronebone that leaves his lover in shambles. He also has a penchant for being on his knees to eat out Bomba, bowing before her body.
Expanding on information found in my previous post, Vic also likes to get fucked while wrapping her legs around Plato as if to deepen his penetration. Holding on for dear life at the same time, lending herself to his control.
G = Goofy (Are they more serious in the moment, or are they humorous, etc)
Tugger typically keeps his relatively carefree and relaxed attitude going during sex, so he retains some of the humour and 'character' that charms mostly everyone. Sex is always supposed to be fun and pleasurable, so being any other way is a downer that cannot be tolerated by him. He gets more gruff when really fucking his partner, and the jovial feel becomes more 'serious' in the sense that he will be getting his release, and ensuring his partner is a cumming mess as well. Tends to be more of a showman with another toms versus Bomba, who gets his 'real self'.
Vic is neutral, not because she cannot be serious or goofy, just because it depends on the whole situation. Not specifically focused on the just the pleasure, she tends to go along with the mood of her partner. Plato is quiet, but there is immense intimacy with him that she loves and always relinquishes herself to. When she is with Rumple, who is excitable and outward, Vic will feed off of that and be more bouncy during sex, having fun and getting off just as much. She plays (perhaps a poor word choice) with Rumple, and it frequently ends up being a wild time where both queens are left shaking with pleasure. They are not strictly lovers so much as they are friends as well. Her love for Plato and her love for Rumple are different, but both fulfilling in their own way.
I = Intimacy (How are they during the moment, romantic aspect)
Tugger is at a midway point in all of this. It is really dependent on who is with him, as he adjusts his methods based on that. With Bomba, he is typically romantic during sex, giving himself to her and exposing vulnerabilities that he does not show to anyone else. The sex, while very pleasurable, is a way for them to connect on a level that is not possible in the public eye. Both of them drop their personas and are present only for the other. They show their deep love when entangled like that. A caring mentality where they seek to nullify any negativity in the other's life. Almost like fucking the bad away in some instances, but it is so much more involved than that. Tugger will alter his ways to please based on how Bomba is feeling as well. When she is more downtrodden, he slowly eases into the sex, and spends so much time kissing all over her body before eating her out and giving her loving dirty talk to get her back. When she is happy, he is still romantic, but takes advantage of her mood to be bolder and rougher with her, just ramming Bomba to enhance her mood even more. With another tom, the same intimacy is not really there in the same regard (but not in a bad way). He treats them like a friend, and shares intimate feelings, but the outright love is not as important as that other connection. They are together to have fun and get dirty.
Victoria essentially enjoys the intimacy of sex more than any other part of it. That connection between her and another person (or just her with herself) is an important aspect for Vic, as she feels appreciated and loved in a distinct way. For her partner to be absolutely infatuated with her, with a look of utter love and desire in their eyes as they plough her is rewarding. Giving her their all out of complete need to demonstrate how much they care. That tenderness resulting from this is a highlight. When with Plato, their love and companionship during sex is so intensely wrapped in each motion and moan that is would be impossible to separate what is based on love and lust. She is delicate with her man, pressing the sweetest of kisses to his skin as rewards for his ongoing efforts. They mutually send shivers throughout the other. They both are always ensuring the other is enjoying their time, but Plato is constantly making sure he is not hurting her. There are reassuring touches, looks, and asks all throughout. They both have that feeling, but especially Plato, where they feel so lucky and in love. It is the infatuation and wanting a physical connection that steers this, not the lust of it. The need to embrace someone you love and give yourself to them. It is just so delicate and intimate. They love each other so much and nothing is more beautiful than that.
P = Pace (Are they fast and rough? Slow and sensual? etc.)
Tugger again adjusts his pacing to the needs of his partner. He will go both ways (and also go both ways) with it, absolutely ramming his lover with as much gusto as he can muster, but alternately being slow and caring with his thrusts. With Bomba, he peppers in both methodologies to give her everything she deserves. Inching in to start, hearing her gasp as she is filled by him, before increasing his speed and carrying her along. He gets faster and rougher the better it feels, and fucks her until she is carving lines down his back or pulling him in by his mane to deepen the penetration before letting her orgasm rattle through her. As mentioned above, when he takes time to care for Bomba both sexually and emotionally, he is very slow and determined, pulling each moan of pleasure out of her like his life depends on it. That intention behind his actions where is focused on her needs is actually his favoured way of fucking her, seeing her fall apart through his touch. Serving her and treating her like she is the most important queen around. He is particularly skilled at taking his time to eat her out or finger her, but his enthusiasm gets the better of him more often than not, and he cannot help but go faster to hear her scream his name.
Victoria is the dominant one in her relationships with both Plato and Rumple, but that is because she just knows what she likes, and her partners (Plato or Rumple) are easy to control when falling over themselves to be with her. She simply ends up being the ‘controller’ by default. However, she likes to give herself in vulnerability to the will of their desires, and usually lets them control the pacing. Never ones to be abusive of the ‘power’, they always ensure they take their time to explore her body until she is utterly shaking. With Plato, they are almost always slow and sensual, making every little moment count. Time spent like that is heavenly, and they both cannot stand making it end sometimes. There are moments of lust fueled fucking too that is faster and rougher, and they both hold on to one another until they are both (quietly) screaming as they cum. With Rumple, Vic is usually the 'target' of choice, and the pacing is much more quick and erratic. Rumple cannot help herself from fingering and licking at Vic with a vigour that is one of lustful desire. She loves the taste of Vic. When Vic reciprocates that love, she is surprisingly ravenous, but in a sense that she controls the act enough to draw out the pleasure as long as possible. Punishing in a way, making her partner beg and squirm until they cannot take it anymore. Passionate and detailed, taking her time, and Rumple is reduced to literally is begging (and I mean begging) Vic to make her cum.

Still deeply in love with them <3 <3
aka I updated my demestrap family human au designs a bit!
Munk is greying already cause he’s stressed af 24/7
I don’t know why but this ended up looking like some kind of single parent au, so that made me to make it into a single parent au:
-Demeter is a single mom of Jemima. She’s gone through a lot of shit, moved to a women’s shelter away from her abusive husband and therefore is very skittish and trusts hardly anyone besides her older sister Bomba.
-Jemima is naive though and wants to go to music lessons after school. Deme hesitates but in the end can’t say no to her so she lets her. While collecting Jemima afterwards she meets her music teacher = Munk
-In the beginning Deme’s really uncertain and maybe even a little bit afraid of him, because she is still affected by her abusive marriage. But Munk is really kind, gentle, smart, respectful, they have shared interests and views of the world and of course Jemima likes him a lot too. by the time she notices she has started to wait those music lessons just as much as Jemima does because she gets to meet Munkustrap again.
-They don’t really get to have a much time together, since Demeter only comes to pick Jemima up after the lessons but maybe there’s always this little gap when Jemima goes to another room to get/do/leave something and the adults are left to socialize alone for a moment. At some point Dem is also invited to follow the class and it’s a lot fun for all of them.
-At first their relationship is completely platonic: Demeter enjoys chatting with someone who isn’t aware of her past and therefore doesn’t see her through any colored glasses/doesn’t treat her differently because of that. Munkustrap is sensible, they both like literature, evenings at home, gardening and cooking (things that are often seen as boring by all their loved ones) but also music, theatre and dancing. And it’s just nice to have someone to talk to regularly.
-Munkustrap persuades Demeter to come to the music school’s concert where Jemima too is gonna perform. They sit next to each other the whole night and Deme is actually having fun for the longest time. Afterwards Munk escorts them to their car and lingers there talking longer than necessary. Demeter has a nice, fluttering and warm feeling in her stomach.
-Demeter is afraid when she finally realizes she might like her daughter’s music instructor a little bit too much more than she should. She still has a small fear of commitment, but she also fears that Munkustrap sees her just as a client and she’s just overreacting and being the insensible one.
-They continue the music lessons, Deme falling deeper in love with Munk and being desperate about it.
-At some point Munkustrap’s schedule changes and he is no longer Jemima’s teacher. Deme is really devastated because she doesn’t have any natural reason to see him again. Jemima is sad too, but well, she is a kid and her new teacher is just as nice so in the end she doesn’t mind it too much. After wallowing in despair for a while and having a heart to heart with her sister, Deme shows up to Munk’s work and straight up asks him out, voice trembling. He ACCEPTS!
-They go on a date in some quiet and cozy cafe and finally have actual time to talk and get to know each other even better. They plan the next meeting already and it becomes almost like a habit to meet once a week.
-By the time they start to meet more often and go to actual dinner dates in the evening. Demeter doesn’t really know what there actually is between them since they have never talked about it specifically but at the time she doesn’t mind since labeling it too early might ruin everything and she doesn’t want that to happen.
-There is some drama when Deme’s ex has tracked her but it gets dealt with somehow, I don’t know how because I’m too invested in all the sweet sweet romance. Deme is shaken up by this and reminded of all her fears and she finally tells Munk about her past and is afraid how he reacts.
-he takes it well, seriously and understandingly. He promises to be there for Demeter and finally tells that he’s absolutely in love with her.
-something. Deme tells Jemima that she’s seeing Munk and Jemima is happy and excited.
-They don’t kiss until the very end when Demeter finally feels herself ready and it’s very sweet and tender and they all live happily ever after as they deserve!
-sideplots/something about Bomba and Munk’s family including Tugger and Deuteronomy. Demeter dreams about picking up the music hobby again after childhood, going to college to study english and buying own home for her and Jemima. Munk has some kind of character development too? Maybe he takes too much responsibility, is worried about basically everything and doesn’t have too much other life than his work. Deme teaches him to relax, take things easy and enjoy the moment and of course makes him leave the house just by existing.
-I got way too carried away
-full of cliches, I know, but some things are cliches for a reason
-Someone write this for me

demelurina for the disny meme
Demelurina my beloved,,,,
is no secret i have about 3 different Little Mermaid AUS. But I think it would fit quite too well
As always. Canon can kiss my ass.
FAIR WARNING: This post is kilometric. And I did not proofread any of this because that's how I roll baby
Anyways
So, we start with Bombalurina. A very well known mermaid (mercat? you decide) who's voice can be heard sometimes on the shore. She is a kind and curious soul. And both the kingdom and the sea creatures absolutely adore her.
Old Deuteronomy, the mermaids (mercats?) king, treats her like a daughter. And she is presented with the higher honours.
But she is also fond of the surface. Of the magnificent and glorious surface. Oh, what music has she heard. She has collected every jewelry, painting, and little knick knack that ever fell from a boat. She watches the humans with curiosity. With wonder. There is just too much too know, out of her reach.
So one day she gets an idea. She is going to talk to the humans (cats?). Not only is she going to talk to them, she is gonna ask all her questions. And ask how can she join them, if she ever can.
So when the boat of a princess on her way back from a travel passes through, she takes the opportunity inmediately. She watches with wonder while they dance and sing, and cannot help but notice how absolutely gorgeous the princess is.
And the boat hits a storm. She helps however she can. And she sees the princess fall into ice cold water. She is not letting her die. So she brings her to chore. And quietly sings to her to wake her up. She is the most beautiful thing that ever fell in the sea... She is so ready to ask her hundreds of questions. But a scream startles her and she gets back where she came from. And the princess can't help but listen to that song in her mind...
Bomba gets to safety. And explains to her friend Tantomille what just happened. She is a very powerful mermaid (mercat?). And offers to check whatever she got from that trainwreck go make sure the princess is ok.
Bomba scatters her things. And she gives Tanto a notebook, the pages are absolutely irrecognizable, but it used to be full of drawings. Tanto uses her magic to tell her she is ok. She tells her she is a princess and about to be the ruler of her kingdom, after her mother sadly passed away. She tells her how she is lonely. And how she repeats Bomba's song to feel calm, like a spell itself.
Bomba asks if she will answer her questions. Tanto says she's not sure. But warns her of meddling with the human world. "Their ways are different than ours. We aren't meant to meet yet"
"Then when"
"I don't know
"Well, I can't wait"
She swims as fast as she can far, far away. There is a solution to this problem... a dangerous one, but absolutely deserving of a chance.
Macavity, a magical being feared both in land and sea. Capable of anything, the legend says. But never found in a place twice. You have to give him an offering to make him appear. And she does. She goes to the place the legend talks about. And offers him some of the most valuable jewels of the kingdom that she took from the palace. Out come two mermaids (mercats?) on perfect syncrony. They let her inside a cave.
And there he is. Macavity. Imponent. Warm like fire, but under the water.
She asks for a way to go on the surface. She has to meet that princess. Macavity laughs at her. And offers a change: Her voice, for a pair of legs. They will last a week. She must be back by then. Or she will turn into sea foam. If she wants to keep her legs, then a human shall offer her their heart. Is well known that mermaids don't have a soul, the only thing they can give is their heart. And they take it very seriously. So this is high stakes.
She hesitates. But she agrees. And Macavity breaks her in half. She gives her legs. And she takes away her voice. She is rushed to the surface. And she finds herself alone. And hurting. The legs hurt as if her tail was still there, just broken. She can't ask for help. And she stays on shore for a while. Sure that she will not make it...
"Oh, gods, are you ok?"
A sweet voice wakes her up. And the sudden embrace of strongs arms taking her up. She is not exactly aware of what's happening. She only smells a sweet perfume. So different of the shore...
"Don't worry, we'll get you some help"
She wakes up in a soft surface. And the sweet perfume around her. She's lost until she finds by her side a surprised face. A warm and calm face welcomes her. And her words come out of her mouth like honey.
"You're awake! Hi. My name is Demeter. How did you end up on the shore?"
She tries to explain herself, but she has no way how. But Demeter is patient. And she tries her best to understand whatever sign is Bomba throwing at her. It might be hard to communicate, but she is not giving up. And the smiles and nods that Bomba gives her are very much welcomed.
They spend a day getting Bomba back to shape. And Demeter cannot help but find in that smile a familiar charm. Like something she was meant to see. And that she has seen before... In another time...
That's not important.
She has a brilliant idea.
An old lord has a daughter that might help them. And she asks Bomba if she might want to go and try to find a way. She inmediately agrees. And finds herself enchanted with everything in the surface. The trees, the roads, the horses, the people, the dances, the music the arts. She stops wide eyed at everything. Is everything she could've ask and more. And Demeter feeds into that curiosity. She takes the time to tell her the name of every plant and animal. Retells all the stories of the kingdom. She makes sure every time Bomba stops to look at something, she gets new information. She is specially throughout about art. And they make a one day trip into two and a half.
When they meet the old lord, he introduces his children as Victoria and Mistoffelees. Victoria is mute, and she is more than happy to teach Bomba to sign. Bomba is ecstatic. And they spend the next days teaching her. Not only to sign, but also they show her new dances, new food, new textures and fabrics. New everything.
And Demeter is there in the middle. She is everything that the human world could ever be. Her voice is soft and her hands are warm. She has the prettiest smile and she dances like the world is not watching her. Her embrace is delicate and she smells like fruit and flowers... Demeter is everything she ever dreamt about the human world and more.
And Deme finds in Bomba excitement and happiness. She is confident and curious and adventurous. And her laugh is contageous and her embrace is like a sunset at the beach. She doesn't let her feel lonely. Bomba is a new fire in her heart.
And the days pass... and a week comes. And the last day, Bomba has learnt to sign a little. Or at least to communicate with Demeter. And she urges them to come back. She can't explain. She just has to go back. Demeter is heart broken. Why? Why must she leave? Isn't she happy?
She practically escapes. Trying to make it to shore. And Deme follows her. Desperate. Because she doesn't want to lose her. Bomba just runs and stops at the nearest beach. She is so hesitant. The sun is going down. Is it worth it? Does she really want to go back? To a life in the sea? Apart of everything she loves? Apart from Demeter?
Demeter finds her. Pleads her to stop. To come back. She assures them whatever is worrying her, is going to be fine.
But a storm comes. And with that, a tall, imponent, figure.
Macavity.
He comes. Demeter falls down. Looking at the legend come true. He laughs. Bomba runs to Demeter. Trying to tell her to stop. But her scream comes from a small shell on Macavity's neck.
He explains that "This beauty changed her voice... for a chance up here. And her time is up."
In front of a paralyzed Demeter, he hypnotizes Bomba. He makes a puppet out of her. And starts to slowly make her walk into the sea. Her legs losing balance as she goes. Turning into foam as she touches the water.
Until Demeter runs at her. Tries so hard to pull her out. And shouts that she loves her. That he can't take her away.
"YOU CAN'T TAKE MY HEART AWAY FROM ME."
And as she says that, Bomba falls. But her legs are back. They hear a crack. And as the shell breaks, Macavity is gone. The voice goes up. And joins the moans in the wind.
But who cares?
Bomba is there. Deme is there.
And they kiss and live happily ever after :D
Thanks for the ask! i am SO SORRY it took so long.
And I am so sorry for this kilometric post.....

Can you tell us your top 9 Cats performers? Idc which Cat they play.
Well anon, I know you have been waiting a bit for this, but I promise I did not forget.
Firstly, I do want to state that I am not necessary committed to everyone on this list as being my favourite / top performer. I have such a deep appreciation for all the actors that do not get the same level attention as others do, especially given the number of productions of Cats there have been. Many of the performers below could be swapped with just-as-equally talented actors.
Also, anytime I say that I love an actor, either in this post (or my entire blog for that matter), it is meant completely in admiration, and not in a romantic sense. These are still real people, and they deserve respect and privacy. Weird aside, I know, but sometimes I think the fandom may get a bit too involved in certain actors. I know I am not immune to this.
Just a warning, they are all going to all be female performers, because this is a  blog that stans queens only, and seemiingly only the Broadway Revival given my choices.
Anyway, without further ado,
Lili Froehlich - Electra (2016 Broadway Revival)
Tumblr media
Somehow, and in some way, I feel in love (not in a obsessive way of course) with her after watching a bootleg of the Broadway Revival. I think it simply was for the fact that she was the first Electra in any US based production, and I thought that was really cool. Well, obsessions always sneak up, and look who is my icon and header? Look who made me into an immense Electra stan. Look who inadvertently lead the path that made me write a freaking 7200 word Electra fanfic. It is all her fault.
Zizi Strallen - Tantomile (Cats 2019) and Demeter (London Revival 2014)
Tumblr media
If we truly are pointing fingers at people who caused obsessions, I would point at Zizi. When I watched Cats (2019) the first few times, it did not really move me, but there was something about that happy grey cat with the stunning voice that broke through in my mind. Cats (2019) is what introduced me to the musical and to the fandom. Also, guess who made me soft for Tanto? Her.
Jo Gibb - Rumpleteazer (London / Cats 1998)
Tumblr media
Jo Gibb is the reason I became super obsessed with Cats, and probably why my (first? second? who knows) favourite character is Rumple. Having initially seen the 2019 movie before the 1998 film, seeing her smiling face and adorable portrayal made me sort of fall in love with her. She is a perfectly mischievous Rumple, and I feel is the benchmark for most others. Her engagements with other characters is awesome, and she is just the ideal actor.
Freya Rowley - Jellylorum (Cats 2019) and Tantomile / Swing (UK Tour 2013)
Tumblr media
My Big Orange. Freya does not sing in the movie, and is just a background cat, but my god is she the best cat there! During her time with actual stage productions, she was a principle Tantomile, and covered Demeter, Jelly, Jenny, and Cassandra as swing.
Leah Sue Morland - Electra (Cats 1998) and Electra / Rumpleteazer / Swing (London)
Tumblr media
The other reason I became an Electra stan. Underappreciated in the 1998 film. Her mannerisms bring the character to life.
Emily Tate - Tantomile (Broadway Revival 2016)
Tumblr media
Given all Tantos do not really have an opportunity to set themselves apart because they are more of an ensemble Cat, I liked Emily from the beginning I saw her, and I think she is really cute. Her, paired with CJS, make a pretty ideal Cori and Tanto. Maybe I am swayed by the amount of lifts and spins they do together during the show? They have a beautiful synchronization and grace with their movements.
Christine Cornish Smith - Bombalurina (Broadway Revival 2016)
Tumblr media
She is brings a lot of dynamics into her role as Bomba. Plus, she is freaking hilarious in the What’s New Pussycat web series. Did I pick a silly picture because her humor? Yes I did.
Georgina Pazgouin - Victoria (Broadway Revival 2016)
Tumblr media
A prominent soloist with the New York ballet, renowned for her distinctive style, and you can appreciate her portrayal of Victoria if you watch a 2016 bootleg show. She has also pushed out against ballet norms by being “The Rogue Ballerina” as a means of embracing the qualities that make her unique as a dancer, such as her 'bigger’ (in terms of ballet) body type. Hells yeah.
I am going to put my ninth pick as something different, a cop out of sorts.
It is in honour of all the swings that do not get love the should. Here are a few:
Maria Briggs - Cover Victoria, Sillabub, Rumpleteazer, Jennyanydots, Tantomile (Broadway Revival 2016)
Tumblr media
Anastasia Bertinshaw - Cover Cassandra, Electra, Jemima, Tantomile, Victoria* and Anneke Brunekreeft - Cover Bombalurina*, Cassandra, Demeter, Electra, Jenny Fleckenreich, Tantomile (Vienna 2019)
Tumblr media
Claire Camp - Cover Cassandra, Bombalurina, Tantomile, Victoria, Electra (Broadway Revival 2016)
Tumblr media
Anina Pletscher - Swing "Electra", covering Jemima, Tantomile, Victoria, Cassandra and Coricopat (Asia Tour 2020)
Tumblr media
Also, a special shout-out to all the “lifers” that have been in multiple productions across many years and sometimes continents. You are the real ones.
Thanks for the ask!

Looking through Tuggoffelees fanfiction, I am getting so sick of people vilifying Bomba in order to create a plot or drama. Like, I get people might see her as being in love with Tugger but he doesn’t reciprocate her feelings, but there’s no need to make her such a b****. I remember a story where she started spreading rumors about Misto being evil and placed a spell on Tugger so that he would love him, and turned to entire tribe against Misto and scared him off. Smh, we need more love for Bomba
I’ve definitely noticed that as well in a few fics, and it’s pretty disappointing.
Bomba is an AMAZING character who has her own story and her own personality, and she shouldn’t be brought down just to fit with the story of a ship.
Bomba really does deserve all the love in the world
