John smokes grass, partakes in a little hash, but the LSD trips scare him. "You lose control," he tells Doc. "You lose it to find it," Doc says cryptically.

It isn't long before the other Association boys follow Doc's footsteps to Afghanistan and load cars, trucks, and vans up with hash. The most ingenious smuggling vessel, though, is the surfboard. One genius ships a board to Kandahar, hollows it out, and stuffs it with hash, because nobody at the airport knows what a surfboard is or, critically, how much it should weigh. And no one even asks what a guy is doing with surfboards in a place where there's no ocean.

This week’s additions to the library. Two are replacements for books I gave to strangers. And, by strangers, I mean bartenders.

She's an old soul," the mother countered. Her psychic had told her that her daughter had had many previous incarnations and that her astral age wasn't four, but four thousand, which made her older than her mother by a good seven hundred years. "In very real ways, I'm actually her daughter.

Okay, this one was really fun! It’s a “And they were roommates!”+”mutual pining”+”fake dating” friends-to-lovers speed run in the best way. It was delightful at every turn. I loved the way that Daniel and Trent balanced each other out. Who doesn’t love a grumpy x sunshine romance? 🥰
While I did love Fool’s Kisses, I felt like it was just a little short? I mean, it’s supposed to be a short novella, but I just wanted a little bit more. Even if it was only another chapter (or two). But overall this was a pretty solid read and it’s getting a solid three and a half stars. 😊

Night Shift by Stephen King
King’s first collection of short stories showcases the darkest depths of his brilliant imagination. Here we see mutated rats gone bad (“Graveyard Shift”); a cataclysmic virus that threatens humanity (“Night Surf,” the basis for The Stand); a possessed, evil lawnmower (“The Lawnmower Man”); unsettling children from the heartland (“Children of the Corn”); a smoker who will try anything to stop…

Y’all have no idea how much I wish I could have found my old portable CD player and some CD’s. This made me so nostalgic for the late 90’s.
I really loved this comic. It was bright and colorful, but also full feminist ideas and tons of lgbtq+ rep. I loved how awkward Chris was. I loved the confidence of all the other girls. And above all else, I loved how ridiculous some of this was. It just made me smile so much. 😊
Heavy Vinyl is definitely something you should check out if you’re into music and vigilante girl gangs and 90’s nostalgia. This is getting a solid four and a half stars. 🤩
