Book box turned tiny shop facade 📕🔮 Getting the lighting in and painted the signage by hand was especially tricky! Box from Michael’s years ago, interior is wood, paper, cardboard, paint, and secondhand embellishments.

My Dark Rise by C S Pacat special edition and merch box by Book Addiction Au arrived and it is so gorgeous ✨️

I'll take better pics of everything later but the box included a stunning special edition of Dark Rise, a display unicorn horn, a Dark Rise inspired candle, a zip up tote bag and an art card.

So happy with these items and thrilled to have an Australian bookish small business to support!

A month ago I had a “book box exchange” with my friend, where you give each other a book and a box filled with stuff. So obviously I chose TVA (she has only read iwtv and a part of tvl), and this is what I gave her :3

Content includes: A little canvas, a brush and black ink, two postcards, fake tattoos of black wings, a little leather bag, a keychain with Lana del Rey as Jesus, several small golden frames with: Caravaggio’s Cupid (Amor Vincit Omnia), close-up’s of Botticelli’s Mercury in his La Primavera, Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and some Venetian Palazzo from one of Canaletto’s paintings. The golden wrapped present in the top right corner is a wooden 3D puzzle of a skeleton lol bc why not.

Also please don’t mind the surface underneath, it’s an old busted chest I use as a coffee table lol

Hey all! Two big announcements from yesterday’s newsletter:

A Rival Most Vial will be the featured book in Fox & Wit’s July book box!! That’s right, it’s an actual ARMV loot box, complete with a special hardcover edition of the book!

More info to come in June! ☀️

AND

I’m going to be at The Book Burrow’s Pride event on June 10 in Pflugerville, TX! I will be on a panel and at their booth during the event.

If you’ll be in the Austin area during that time, I would love to see you! Seriously, I know all of one person in that area. If you’re able to drop by/see the panel/browse some queer books, that would be amazing. And please don’t be afraid to say hi to me! I’ll likely be wearing a silly coat and I’ll have stickers!

I’ll send a reminder in early June for this as well.☀️

(But also, all of this is bananas? A book box? A panel?! If you had told me ten months ago that I’d be doing any of this, I would’ve laughed. What is life.)
