Hey!!
Do you like Good Omens and A Court Of Thorns And Roses?
Then you may just like my book that I'm currently writing, Petrichor! The first in a series that will take you through realms and universes you may be familiar with the name of, but never would have imagined!
Follow Cheshire, a stoic Angel of Justice, as she's thrust into a conspiracy to start the War between Heaven and Hell before the Apocalypse is supposed to begin while trying to clear her name of a crime she didn't commit. Excommunicated from Heaven, but not Fallen, will she survive the forces in the shadows forming this plot? And if she does, will she be able to find the true perpetrator of the crime in time to save the Earth from sure destruction? Unsure of who her allies are and who her enemy is, she will question everything she's ever known as her reality turns upside down.
Updates may be slow, as Life Happens, and I am Just A Girl. But feel free to ask me any questions you may have in my ask box!!

WIP Intro - Temperance & Mr. Wyrm.
Tumblr media
Title: Temperance & Mr. Wyrm
Genre: Body horror, romance, magical realism, drama, historical fiction (1980s), fairytale/folklore retelling (Prince Lindworm), novella.
Status: Second draft/revisions
Themes: Shedding skins - literally and figuratively - to grow into a new person; temperance (in regards to self-restraint and suppression against impulses); survival and faithfulness of love.
Content Warnings: General body horror, snake imagery, ableist language regarding autism, general socio-political norms of the 1980s (though I will keep this to a minimum as I feel like I don’t need to stick 100% true to the period. However, given how illness and healing is the core plotline, the whole being “afraid of AIDs” will make a brief appearance).
Synopsis: Two people try to navigate their unorthodox romance in spite of an arcane, snake-like infection that affects one of them.
Temperance Cavell, a six-foot tall autistic woman living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, lives a quiet, unexciting, and demure existence running a convenience store with her mother. But despite her mother's overbearing nature, the nonstop caring of her ailing grandmother, and her near-nonexistent social life, she cannot complain. This life is quiet, she’s (somewhat) in control, and nothing is unexpected…
That is until Jack Turner, the motorcycle-riding kleptomaniac with a heart of gold, bursts into her store one Saturday afternoon, and between them a romance reluctantly blooms. That is until such love is swiftly threatened to shatter when Jack’s body begins to betray him, contorting him into something that is completely, and utterly, non-human.

Hey! Interested in dark fantasy? Want to see a villain protagonist story? Or just want a book to read?
I would like to present to you: Early-Bird Malice: Rex's Infamy! (Or just EBMRI for short.)
Tumblr media
(I'm still not sure if I want to keep this cover art lmao. I just wanted something to actually show as a book cover. My friends seem to like it.)
EBMRI is a story following a 14-year-old boy named Ashton Perdido (nicknamed Rex.) Rex is a cunning, successful supervillain who has garnered both magical and city sovereign powers. When he obtains an ancient ring that amplifies his magic, his mind slowly becomes a battlefield— starring his obsession for power vs. the resurfacing memories of who he was before his descent into evil.
I made this blog to document progress and give little fun facts about the story, world and characters!
Hope you enjoy!

Meet the Main Character
Tumblr media
Meet Solomon Quinn, the main character of ‘Dying To Be a God’. This is the first concept idea of what he’ll look like, though his design will become more detailed and complex as I develop both him and his story. He is a college student with ADHD and a slight bit of autism. He’s sarcastic, caring, and has a dark sense of humor. After a near death experience, a lot of his daily life changes, from what he sees and hears to how other people view him. He’s an outcast at school, and becomes the most popular student almost overnight.
This is the site I used to get the first concept design of Solomon.

Currently reading Station Eleven by Emily Mandel and I’m terrified but I don’t know why. This book feels like it’s going to hit me with something and I deeply want to know what it is, but I’m also dreading it
It feels like walking alone at night and having that prickle behind your shoulder blades like you’re being watched. It feels like looking into the face of someone about to tell you news that will shatter you into a million pieces.
It feels like something I should not be reading at midnight when I have to be up early tomorrow morning, but I’ve never had self control when it came to books.

CALLING ALL LESBIANS! I NEED YOUR HELP!
I am writing a book with a lesbian main character in high school, however since I am not a girl, (though I am in school and I own a pair of high heels) I need to know what I’m talking about. Anything really would be appreciated! I will give updates on the book progress and probably gonna edit this post later
P.S. The book is also about soccer, so if you know anything about that, please tell me, that would be equally helpful, thanks!

Nitimur in Vetitum: Greenhouse Meeting
youtube
As his hand started to cramp from the hold on his pencil he glanced up at the clock on the nightstand next to his bed. Twelve am? His eyes widened as his eyebrows shot up at his realization. He had been drawing for almost 3 hours and he didn't even know it. He set his pencil down and put his sketchbook away gently. He massaged his hand with his thumb as he got up to change. Though he didn't make it far as he noticed a tall boy with blonde hair leaving the school. He looked nervous and kept looking over his shoulder. Morris could feel his curiosity peak as he watched the student walk toward the forest. Morris looked at his jacket and then back outside, conflict showing on his face. He huffed as he slipped on his jacket and climbed out the window. His eyes scanned for the boy and found him hopping over the fence. He quickly and quietly rushed over and jumped over the fence as he saw him walk into the forest.
“Damn it” He cursed under his breath before following the boy. He was curious as to why he was out of bed. The threat was made by the headmaster so why did it scare him? It scared Morris, but his curiosity is something to be trifled with. He took in the scenery as he followed the boy. It was dark but he could still make out shadows. He could feel the rain falling on him as he followed the boy. He was constantly looking around scared of any animal or person that might harm him. “If I get sick I swear to whatever god is out there, is gonna have hell to pay” He mumbled to himself as he hurried in the direction he saw him go. They had to be almost half a mile deep in the forest. Something Morris would never do alone.
He watched as the blonde-haired boy walk into a greenhouse. Morris didn't even know the school had a greenhouse. Morris shook himself out of his thoughts and followed after him. The door creaked as he walked inside to find… he was alone. He spun around in confusion at the fact the boy seemed to disappear.
“Where did you go?” He whispered as he walked closer to the pond in the middle of the room. It had black gothic railings surrounding it. His eyes scanned over the room to see the windows covered in fines and the wooden floor was almost covered in moss. If it wasn't for the fact it was midnight in some creepy forest he would've found it charming. He was too absorbed in the greenhouse to hear the footsteps coming up behind him.
“Im right here” The mysterious boy whispered causing Morris to yelp and spin around.  Morris backed up against the railing when he saw the boy right beside him. It was Allister King, but Morris didn't know him. Allister smiled down at him, his stormy blue eyes seemed to glow as the moonlight shined in them. “What’re you out so late for darling?” He asked, his voice sounding almost concerned if it wasn't for the fact he hid it with a teasing tone. Allister rested his hands on the railing behind Morris, trapping him. Morris was flustered at the use of the nickname. He opened and closed his mouth like a fish out of water. “Well?” Allister egged him on with a raise of his eyebrow.
“I could ask you the same thing” Morris retorted trying to hide his nervousness by standing up straighter than he already was. “And besides I dont answer to you,” He said with uncharacteristic confidence, crossing his arms in front of his chest. Allister chuckled leaning forward slightly causing Morris to lean back.
“Fiesty. I like it” He smirked down at the shorter boy. Allister finally took the time to analyze the boy in front of him. His freckles looked like stars that were scattered across his tan face. His eyes were a dark brown almost red colour. He had a cute button nose and round eyes.  He could tell the boy was nervous but also flustered. Is he like me? He thought to himself with an almost invisible smile. . It wasn't every day that a person who wasn’t straight came into your life. He was getting tired of all the cute but straight boys at his school. With an exception of his friends. He just wanted to know he wasn't the only one like him, That he wasn't alone.
“What's your name Darling?” Allister asked leaning back to his original position with Morris still trapped. The smirk never once left his face as he watched the boy in front of him. Morris stuttered as he was brought out of his thoughts.
“My uh, my n-name is Morris. Morris Phillips” He stammered still flustered at the proximity. Allister hummed and smiled as he whispered the boy's name. He liked how it rolled off his tongue as if it was the most natural thing in the world. Morris felt his heart speed up as he heard his name slip from the other boy. A small blush spread across his face like wildfire. “What's yours? I can't exactly call you blonde boy forever” He teased with a small laugh trying to hide his blush. He may have been flustered but he doesn't need Allister to notice.
“Later. I’ll tell you later.” He answered as he pulled away much to Morris’s dismay. Morris sighed, upset he didn't get his name. He decided to ask later. Allister walked away over to a small platform that was across the room.
“How didn't I see that?” Morris shook his head in slight confusion before following Allister. On the raised platform a piano sat against one of the walls and couches were scattered along with a few books. It looked almost cosy and newer than the rest of the greenhouse. There were even a few plants here and there. “Did you do this yourself?” Morris asked as he crossed over to one of the couches. There was barely any dust on the furniture shocking Morris. Allister was sitting at the piano with a small smile.
He looked over his shoulder and nodded. “Yep! it's my favourite place to sneak out to and skip classes” He chirped, the smirk returning to his sharp features. He played a few notes on the piano before turning to Morris.  “So,” He rested his head in his hand as his elbow rested on his leg. “What brought a pretty boy like you to King’s Academy, a Boarding school of hell and boredom?”  He asked mocking the elite boarding school. Morris shrugged and looked off to the side thinking.
“It's a good school and I had the opportunity to come here.” He answered as he turned to look at the tall boy in front of him. Allister nodded in thought. He couldn't deny the school being one of the best schools in the district. But that didn't change the fact he hated it there, especially with the dark history.  “And I was homeschooled before. My mum thought it was a good idea to go to a… “normal school” I guess” Morris shrugged as he replied to the memory. It was true but he was slightly confused about how a boarding school is normal.
“In all honesty If I could… I would leave this school and never come back” Allister said with a distant look biting his bottom lip. His smirk flattered for a minute before it returned in all its teasing and mischievous glory. “But! That's not up to me” He said leaning back against the now-closed piano. His legs were in his usual man-spread way. Morris looked at him and couldn't help but blush at how he thought the boy was way too attractive for his own good.  Morris’s face soon contorted to confusion as he finally processed his words.
“Why can’t you? You’re almost an adult you should be able to make your own decisions.” Allister thought Morris looked cute with his brows furrowed in confusion and lips slightly parted. “You should leave if you want to.” His voice was filled with sympathy and concern. He couldn't understand why he couldn't leave. Allister sighed and shrugged it off.
“It just is. I wish it wasn't but sadly my father doesn't seem to see eye to eye on these things” Allister offered him a smile albeit a sad one. Morris felt bad for Allister, a boy with almost no freedom to do as he pleased.  “Anyways, where are you from? You dont sound like you're from London.” Allister asked resting his chin on his hand once again. Morris caught on to how he avoided the subject but didn't push any further.
“It's because I’m not, I’m from manchester just north of here” Morris smiled causing a blush to creep onto Allister's rather pale skin. He cleared his throat and nodded. He had never met someone so bright and soft as Morris. He was used to rather cold or energetic people not calm and soft people like the boy in front of him. “what about you?” Morris asked as he fiddled with the cuff of his sleeve, a habit he did whenever he was nervous. Allister pursed his lips as he took a cigarette out of his pocket. He offered one to Morris but declined. Allister took a drag before responding.
“Born and raised in London” He wore a tired smile as he exhaled the smoke that filled his lungs. Morris nodded as his eyes followed the smoke as it left his mouth. The smoke swirled making obscure shapes. “So Morri are you ever going to tell me why you decided to follow me?” Allister asked with a tilt of his head. The question caught Morris off guard as he was brought out of his thoughts. He opened his mouth to say something but quickly closed it.
“To be honest I dont know the answer myself” Morris muttered, confusion lacing his every word. “I guess I was curious” He shrugged with his usual soft smile. “Are you going to tell me why you snuck out?” Morris's voice held hesitance as he asked, not wanting to push the other too far. Allister Glanced outside and sighed, his face was somber and almost frightened.
“Nothing you need to worry your pretty little head about” A smug smile was soon placed on his features once again. Morris sighed disappointedly he didn't get the answer he wanted. Too caught up in his own thoughts, Morris didn't notice Allister flinch and cover his ears.  Allister shook off the familiar and disturbing whispers as he finished the cigarette that was resting between his lips. “It's getting late Darling you should head back” Allister felt his heart tug as he watched a look of disappointment fall over Morris’s soft features. The usual whispers ceased as they watched the scene unfold. Morris sighed but nodded in agreement. He pushed himself off the sofa and walked over to where Allister sat at the piano.
“Can I get you’re name before I go?” His voice was softer than usual, almost sad as he talked. Allister could feel his heart tug once again, an uncomfortable feeling settling in his stomach. Allister shook his head, the smile never once leaving his face.
“You’ll find out soon enough darling” Allister caressed his thumb over Morris’s cheekbone, not missing the slight blush spreading over Morris. Morris sighed and unconsciously leaned into the other boy's touch. Allister dropped his hand back down to his side not noticing Morris’s once again disappointed expression. Allister gave him directions as he guided Morris to the door. As the door was about too close Morris stopped it catching Allister's attention. “Yes?” Allister's head tilted, confused why he hadn't left yet.
“Please tell me I’ll see you again?” Morris asked with puppy dog eyes. Allister nearly melted as he met the other's gaze. Allister sighed and glanced to the side, thinking before he nodded yes. Morris’s expression brightened, happy to know he’ll meet with the mysterious student again. He had a small smile as he walked back to his dorm.
The rain had gotten heavier while he was distracted causing him to pull his coat tighter against his slim torso. He shivered at the cold caused by the night and cool atmosphere of the forest. He stopped in his tracks as he spotted white lilies. He looked up to see how far he was from his dorm before running to the lilies and picking one. He smiled at it before running back to his window.
He climbed through his window carefully to not knock over the lamp that was by his bed. He smiled down at the flower as he put it in the vase that sat on a bookcase. He sighed happily as his mind wandered back to Allister. He didn't know why he was so excited to see him again, but he didn't care to find out why. He checked the time and his eyes almost burst out of his skull. “Two am?” He mumbled, his hand covering his mouth in surprise. He changed quickly into warmer sleepwear and got into his bed. He wore a soft smile as he couldn't get the blonde out of his mind. As he fell into a dreamless sleep he could make out a familiar figure limping his way back to the school.

Living The Good Life: Update
I am almost finished with chapter two and I can feel the book coming together slowly. I can tell where it's going to go from here and I can see a clear path to the ending.
