Question for folks who used to love Harry Potter
I’m working on a YouTube video about books that have a similar vibe/can provide a similar reading experience, but weren’t written by transphobic, antisemitic authors who use their royalties to fund hate groups. So for fellow former Harry Potter fans, I’d love to know: what did you like about Harry Potter and wish you could get from other books?
I’ve already got the reasons I used to like these books: whimsical worldbuilding, the concept of a magic boarding school, the characters and their relationships, and coming of age stories. Any other Vibes I’m missing?

One hundred and twenty nine years ago, the world was welcoming one of the greatest storytellers ever.
Ok, I’m one day late and I really wish I could have created something new for the birthday of our dear old friend, but in any case, it’s always good to celebrate the fantastic works of the one and only, J.R.R. Tolkien.
Hope you are surrounded by all that’s green and good, dear sir. Thank you for the world you brought to life!
And a happy week ahead everyone! 🍃⚔️📖
