The novel features a strong narrative voice and excellent dialogue, but some characters could be more memorable, and the ending could be improved. The book’s central theme is families coming together to help in times of hardship.

I am finally back on track after a very long reading slump. When I started this book I knew it would not be the best choice to get rid of my slump but at the same time, I really wanted to read it. This would be my first self-growth book review and I am very excited to share it. Dale is truly an amazing writer and lecturer. His lessons are the type of lessons that will never get too old and that is why the book keeps selling and leaders continue to learn from it. ✨ I annotated a lot in this book as you can see in the photos as well. Some of his best quotes and references are: 🔴 ‘A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.’ 🔴 ’When two partners always agree, one of them is not necessarily.’ 🔴 ‘You can measure the size of a person by what makes him or her angry.’ Have you read this book? What's your hobby apart from reading? Blood and Silver by Vali Benson was an amazing read. I love the POV of the characters and the plot of the book. It is a simple book yet very interesting. ✨REVIEW✨ Lapvona by Ottessa Moshfegh ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ . . Spoilers . This book was a ride. At times it was physically uncomfortable to read but I couldn’t help but. Set in medieval times, the horrors described in this novel were unsettling, yet fascinating. Each character is on itself a contradiction between the most primal of a human being and the complexities behind emotion, morality and restraint. Villiam, the feudal lord of Lapvona was probably one of my favorite characters. And let me get this out of the way: he IS an asshole. BUT I couldn’t help but laugh when his scenes came around. Maybe I should check on that with a therapist. I ended up hating the protagonist, Marek as much as everyone in his life did, but I felt like he was such a good character, to me he felt alive. And most of the characters did for this story is FILLED with interesting points of view. I feel like im just rambling about how good this book is but I can only recommend you to read it. 🚨 Book Review Alert! 🚨 Downright glorious. Iron Widow is a tale of women’s history; the perspectives drowned and discarded. It’s an ode to female empowerment and a defiant will of women everywhere to persist, to rage against a millennia of patriarchal societies. It’s raw, evocative, and impossible to turn your head away from. Five stars simply isn’t a high enough rating. The world building is gorgeous. The descriptions are fluid and imaginative, flush with culture and complexity. The characters are crafted with such care, ensuring that even the smallest of them are given proper time to flesh themselves out. My only gripe is that the dialogue felt a little annoying at times (frequent use of “um”). I loved cheering for Zetian. I was thrilled to root for a protagonist after countless idle reads. I lamented with her, reveled with her, laughed with her. She is compelling, strong, complex, and defiant. She is feminine rage and justice.
