My Favorite Book in a Series
Here is my favorite book in many popular fantasy/ sci-fi/ YA series with a short explanation of why it’s my favorite. Reblog with your favorite book in each series and feel free to add more series!
The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2005)
Learning about Severus Snape and Tom Riddle’s pasts were MIND-BOGGLING to my middle school brain. Once I finished it for the first time, I immediately began rereading it.
The Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer
New Moon (2006)
Even though I’m Team Edward as an adult, when I was a teen, I was so head over heels for Jacob. I think reading it for the first time as a teen has a lot to do with it being my favorite, however, I also like this one most because I think that Bella develops the most as a character here other than her literal vampire transformation in Breaking Dawn.
The Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordian:
From the original debut series (Olympians): The Sea of Monsters (2006)
I love Percy’s brother, Tyson. Enough said.
From Heroes of Olympus Series: The Mark of Athena (2012)
My favorite RR book so far, but I haven’t read the spin-offs Trials of Apollo or the Kane Chronicles yet. I cried at the end of this one when Percy went into Tartarus with Annabeth!
The Hunger Games Series by Suzanne Collins:
Catching Fire (2009)
I really enjoy being able to meet other tributes and how the Hunger Games rules are flipped on their head at the Quarter Quell. Also, this is when it becomes about more of a revolution than self-preservation so the stakes feel much higher.
The Chronicles of Narnia Series by C.S. Lewis:
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (1952)
I just found this one so fun! Lucy is my favorite character, and she really gets to shine in this story.
The 5th Wave Series by Rick Yancey:
The 5th Wave (2013)
It was terrifying! I put myself in that headspace of Cassie and thought what I would do in that situation since I too, am an older sister. I don’t know if I could have been as brave as her.
The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare
City of Ashes (2008)
I haven’t read these in soooo long. But I remember how amazing the Seelie court, Simon’s vampire transformation, and the Silent City were.
The Infernal Devices Series by Cassandra Clare
Clockwork Prince (2011)
I would die for Jem Carstairs.
Based on my favorites above, are there series you would recommend for me?
Sorry, I didn’t care for Divergent or The Maze Runner series. They were just so predictable and redundant.

Note
Would you like to have book recommendations because I got a few I’d like to recommend.
Any manga series ( there is many of them to choose from like J.JK, Sword Art Online, Demon Slayer?, I can’t remember and it’s very overwhelming)
Anything by Cassandra Clare( The Infernal Devices, The Mortal Instruments, The Dark Artifices, The Last Hours and so much more from this author)
The Twilight Series
The Hunger Games and The Songbirds and Snakes
The Divergent series
Oh also check out booktok where there is more recommendations if you want.
There are also games like the sims, Disney dream light valley. I am just thinking what could cheer you up because we all know what’s going on in this world. I pray for everyone.
This is really sweet I’ll check them all out and I haven’t really read the hunger games… I know that sounds unrealistic, but it’s true haha!!!! Thank you so much for the recommendations and I also am so curious about the Sims because I’ve never played the Sims 😭

Currently, they are proceeding on with the second half of the series. The plan is to adapt the whole Mortal Instruments series, depending on the sales of each volume, with two volumes for each installment. If you could have any power what would it be A. The quiz below is designed to tell you the character that has the same personality as you.

I blame my super single status on the fact that fictional characters are more appealing than the men I’ve met so far.
Big thumbs up to YA authors for raising unrealistic expectations of men...

Petition for more YA books with older teens!! Like (18-20) range???
I think a lot of people would love to have a little more variety in their characters! We have a lot of 16 and 17 year old protagonist but rarely anyone slightly older!

10 More Bookish Problems
1) Having that weird look on your face when you read (you know which face I’m talking about)
2) Getting food on your book because eating and reading looks so much easier on bookstagram, tumblr, and in the movies.
3) Saying “one more chapter”... (must I even further elaborate)
4) Going into a slump after you read a really good book
5) Having to take a textbook out of your backpack so you have room for your book
6) The feeling of dread when you reach for your book, but it isn’t there
7) The struggle of finding the perfect reading position
8) Constantly getting deja vu because you swear “that has already happened”, but only to realize it happened in your books and not real life
9) Not having anywhere to store your books
10) Coming with a lot of baggage-both literal (you can never have too many books and book-related things) and figurative (because let’s face it, character deaths have made us emotionally damaged)
