Every time that Crowley confessed how much he loved his angel, Aziraphale made him forget. At first, out of denial of what Crowley was telling him. Later, out of fear of what would happen if Crowley's feelings were discovered. But no matter how many times the demon forgot about his previous confessions, he never stopped. And it broke Aziraphale's heart every time that he took those memories away.

Can you tell us which Good Omens fic made you cry?

Heya

This is the very first good omens fic ive read since 2020, How to Woo a Demon by Bookwormgal its so funny and filled with pining and misunderstanding pfft. Aziraphale tries to court Crowley by learning demon courting culture and its confusing Crowley with hope and denial

But its this fic by the same author that made me cry in the supermarket lmaooo, Somebody to Love which has got me bawling every other chapter cuz its a silent pining crowley fic and I always ache for pining crowleys 😭 issa modified Hanahaki fic where Satan cursed all demons to cough out plants if they ever feel love, any kind of love, as a metaphor come true for how loving God (or anything) causes only pain and suffering. Crowley gets creative and clever about how to handle his love flower curse through the millenia. Its a "through history" fic, love those, the slow burn sustains me.

Another one is called Forgotten Moments, I must warn though, its of Aziraphale erasing the scant seconds of Crowleys memory, each and every time he confesses to him throughout their lifetime. Its both for their protection and bc of his stupidity but yeah, stolen snippets of confessions of love through history. Love it though made me sad

This authors got a lot of good stuff! I hope i can find more fics to my liking although it might prove difficult as we have such an extensive catalogue of the same two dumb old men falling in love in 46 thousand different ways. Love that for us though, an eternal buffet

Do you have a particular list of longer "Kingdom Hearts" fics or series that you would recommend that have a focus on either the Sea-Salt Trio/Family or the Destiny Trio (or both)? You tend to have a lot of good art and theories here, so I figured you might have some good fic recommendations too. (Self-promotion is absolutely acceptable)

though as a pre-note i will say that everything i have is at least a few years old, not because i stopped loving fanfic, but bc my specific brand of adhd hyperfixation doesn't allow me to actively read much fic while i'm writing my own.. and anyone who's been following me for a while knows how long i've been working on Stand AU ^^; it sucks but so it goes. i've been trying to catch up before i start my next big AU, but man... adhd brain has not been co-operative -_-

Instinctively Family - Bookwormgal - Kingdom Hearts (Video Games) [Archive of Our Own]

First up is the Instinctive Family series by Bookwormgal, which i've been following for a long time (one of the few i manage to keep up with while working on stand au) and absolutely adore. part one is set during the games and is focused on axel/lea's developing role in roxas and xions lives. it's canon divergent, and part 2 focuses on lea (and isa) learning how to parent a pair of superpowered teenage toddlers while also managing their own boatloads of Trauma. it's a great read and i can't reccommend it enough.

The Stories We Tell | Archive of Our Own

dealing with axel and saix's past, ranging from radiant garden, through their horribly traumatic time in the organization, and then finally to the found family light at the end of the tunnel.

this one is very heavy, with topics and themes around neurodivergence, ptsd, failing friendships, and mental illness, and as such can be a little rough to get through. i definitely had to take breaks while reading it, but it's a great story if you don't mind a lot of angst before your happy ending.

An angel with a very different name and far less cynicism. And that angel was made to build Her creations. He built stars, nebulas, and other beautiful and complicated things far out there in the cosmos. He shaped fundamental elements and materials into new creations. He molded burning fires and sculpted dust into breath-taking patterns. He started bright and powerful reactions, serving as a catalyst to spark the birth of stars. He set various celestial objects spinning.

He built. He took raw materials and built wonderous things with them. He built because that was the role that She made him for. In the end, was rebuilding that much different than building? And wasn't rebuilding fairly close to healing?

When it was his angel's existence on the line, Crowley was willing to grab at any chance available. He would find a way to fix what had been damaged. He would find a way to save him.

This fic is mostly set before said marriage. Each chapter is immediate aftermath of waking up married, alongside the backstory of their developing relationship.

After being one of the lucky people revived in the aftermath of the Blip, Loki was presented with a choice: spend the foreseeable future in a prison called the Raft or perform “community service” by assisting the constantly-expanding Avengers team on missions also for the foreseeable future. And while annoying, things were going smoothly.

Until a Doombot and numerous explosions dropped a building on top of him. And unfortunately, he's left with the challenge of finding a way to lead someone down to the bottom through the unstable maze of rubble left behind. Loki doesn't have much time to waste.

Summary: Every time Crowley confesses he loves Aziraphale, the angel wipes the memory of it from Crowley's mind.

Comments: What I like best about this is how it ends. Aziraphale knows as time goes on he's doing the wrong thing, but he can't stop. And when it all comes out, it's a mess. But they make a plan for dealing with, cuz at the end of the day, the love between them is strong.

Excellent fic for those of you looking for more content that included our favorite flower bridge crossing agent, Helena López. :)

Bookwormgal’s writing a lovely fic about the days post-movie when Hector is still precariously caught in a second-death coma, and I would highly recommend it, it’s got my bookmark for sure. 

(Helena makes a brief appearance and Bookwormgal is using my headcanon for her. Helena’s appearance boosts the emotional tension splendidly the way that she’s included and it’s so fun to see her character fleshed out more.)
