I don't think a lot of people fully appreciate how prohibitively expensive it is to NOT have a fully functional car in most of the US. I just had to buy a whole-ass printer, ink, and paper for the two times I anticipate needing to print thing in the near future because after running the numbers, it was cheaper to do that than spend the Uber fare to go somewhere to get my items printed since there's nowhere walkable from where I live (and then pay to get them printed).
Ideally, I'll get more than two uses out of the thing, but even if it's just the two it'll still be a savings and that sucks.
