current mood: having feelings about the fact that boromir didn’t live to see pippin become the first hobbit sworn to the guard of the tower and how much joy that would have given him

instead he died thinking he failed his people. and then the hobbit he dies protecting goes on to to devote his service to boromir’s beloved city!! and save the life of his beloved brother!!! and he’ll never even know
