So apparently my parents don’t know what being mulitgender means and they think I’m gender-fluid??? But I don’t think the understand how that works either since they keep treating me like a girl and not someone who fluctuates between genders??? Which I’m still not, because I’m actually just every/multiple gender(s) at once??? Idk guys parents are weird and seeing them try to understand gender identity is both funny and incredibly confusing.

I think it’s so funny that Leia has developed a reputation in the fandom for yelling at Han, but also Luke. She’s become the ‘sassy bossy one’ while the boys are her victims.
However, we never see Leia yell at Luke. Not once in the original trilogy.
However, we do see them both yell at Han within the first 5 seconds of the them meeting in ANH.

i just want to say that these two have been on my mind literally all of january. the thought of the debauchery they would indulge in. bobby and his pretty boygirlfriend. using him as a decoy in robberies, his cute lil thing an easy distraction while he takes what he needs, allowing them both to easily slip away. getting to show off his pretty baby in clubs, having a sweet little thing as his passenger princess during long drives through the dessert. a doll for him to dress up and have hanging off his arm wherever they go. anyway <3

one of the things that hits really nicely for me with Astarion's romance is that he never really encourages or wants you to be some kind of "protector." there are several instances where you can offer him that; protection, swear to him you'll kill cazador, or after his personal quest--I don't have the screencaps on hand, but you can directly say to him that he'll never have to need something like the ritual, because you'll protect him, and HE says back something along the lines of "It would be nice to not need you as my grand protector.... but I appreciate the thought." -- there's tinges here early in act 1 maybe of distrust of faulty promises yes, and considering Tav naive / not comprehending the power of cazador and therefore unhelpful, but even as you proceed, he's never interested in trading a lack of protection for a dependency on a protector.
in fact, the only time he's like "I'm doing it for US... to keep US safe <3" is when he's trying to manipulate/convince Tav into letting him do the ritual. "You want whats best for me right <3333" is the thing he actively uses to try and sway you over to his side, because he knows that's an emotional string to pull on.
there's an insistence of preferring equality in the subtext there; that protection or a skewed imbalance is not what Astarion wants, at his core. he doesn't want a nurse, or to be pitied, or be beholden to anyone. to try and pity him invites his irritation, even outrage. trying to swear to protect him at best gets a fond "I appreciate the Thought" and at worst a "don't be a fucking idiot." it would be veeeeery easy for the narrative to slip into something generic about being able to fix him, but it insists on someone to depend on as equals. give and take in true partnership. and in the post-ritual ending you can really feel the lack of equality there too--only now, he's in the position of both """"protector"""", and more so than that, obsessive beholder of Tav, and he exercises it in overt fashion; of course he'll protect you, your future, your life, is his after all. (and there's a LOT about that that's very interesting to me, and equally as complex & intricate as the no-ritual route in which two people meet on equal footing.) the game never shames this approach of wanting to protect him either, it acknowledges the good intent, and simply shows in Astarion's reactions that there's more here to it than that.

@yeah-thats-probably-it YES! You see my vision. As I was drawing, I wondered if I'm not making this fem!Bertie too much into a typical flapper, and then went down a thought path that led me to conclude that while she would be very into all the outrageous female fashion and silly fads of the era, she would most likely wear trousers as well sometimes, and try a full suit at least once or twice. I'm no fashion historian, but I think she would like the attention it would draw, and the 20s/30s seem to be exactly the time when it was simultaneously conceivable and eyebrow-raising.
And then the thought path made me consider the crossdressing plot from the TV show, and I sighed a small sigh imagining it for fem!Jeeves and fem!Wooster. Though I must say I'm even more interested in fem!Jeeves's society lady makeover from when she had to enjoy the New York City's nightlife for Rocky's sake.

As a desi, I've got to reference one of the best desi movie songs from a blockbuster film: "Yeh Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge" Sholay (1975), and as a queer desi, it's the classic take on "Living the crime life and being gay af with your pardner." The chaotic energy.
This song was sung by two legendary Bengali idols, Kishore Kumar and Manna Dey. I kid you not; their voices fit perfectly well for these two. A beautifully dynamic voice paired with a softly sweet voice; I can't stop seeing it.
Although I don't speak Hindi (I speak Bangla), I did my best translating the chorus and a verse of the song and have it flow better in English. The entire song is pretty gender-neutral. I swear, the number of desi songs that sing about being romantically interested in a friend and/or referring to their romantic partner as a friend is longer than a laundry list. Also, I saw a cishet cover this song romantically. If they can do it, so can I. Checkmate.
BONUS:
My sis insisted that I must draw this scene, and I delivered.

I think Amber was genuinely so good for Wilson. She understood him more than most people, and she encouraged his independence. She genuinely wanted him to put himself first and do things he wanted instead of just doing things he thought others wanted. And a lot of that was able to happen because she herself was incredibly independent. She wasn't the stereotypically "needy" person Wilson had been drawn to before, so she wouldn't stand for his attempts at being a martyr. She stood up to House, too, but she also cared about him in her own way because Wilson cared about him. She appreciated their relationship and went out of her way to work things out with House for Wilsons sake. I have a lot to say about why I think all of Wilson's female relationships failed and why I think that was caused by his internalized struggle with his sexuality, but I stand by the fact that I think Amber was actually good for him and one of, if not the most, healthy relationship he had in the show.
