You were to your boyfriend's parents' house watching one of the games the u21 Spanish national team has. Sitting on the couch with Gavi in front of you, closer than anyone to the TV, so that he could see the match better, you were massaging his back with your nails. You know he loves this feeling, so sometimes you do it, because you know he is too shy to ask for it.

His parents were on the other side of the couch, while Rora and his boyfriend were standing on the floor so that they could have, as well, a better view towards the game.

Spain's team was winning easily, so after a while, Gavi was only concentrating at your touch.

He was wearing a grey hoodie, so you put both of your hands in his pockets. He smiled and put his too to feel your skin against his.

Electric energy went to your bodies, your stomach filled with butterflies.

You kissed his shoulder before he went closer to you, putting his head on your chest, now cuddled into you.

His family and friend looked at the two of you and smiled before turning their heads again to watch the game that started to go more interesting, the opposite team having several dangerous occasions.

Now, Pablo was kissing your neck softly after he put his head in your shoulder to get closer. You were ticklish, and he adored that about you, so every time you moved a little, he chuckled quietly so only you could hear him.

You found his hand and started to make circles around it with your thumb while he started to blush. He loves it when you touch him.

After he stopped kissing your neck, you put your head over his and started to massage his hair. He then looked at you with those beautiful eyes a few seconds until you couldn't when he smiled with love at you, so you put your blushing face into his neck. You got shy so suddenly and he found it so adorable.

"Amorrr" he said with a small laugh.

He then kissed your lips until you couldn't help but smile into it. He then clingy bit your lip and you kissed him back another time.

Rora told his brother that the other team scored a goal and that now it was 2-1, but he didn't mind. He only wanted you.

You told him to look at the game and he accepted it just because you wanted to, but of course he had to cuddled up with you.

He was in your arms, his back on your chest and his legs between yours. You were standing on your butt on the couch, with your back on it for suport, your head on his shoulder while again, your fingers were collided to his fingers.

He often would look at you to kiss your face. That means that sometimes he would kiss your lips, but he as well loves when you blush while kissing one of your cheeks.

After the game was over he was happy that his country won, but as well, he was so happy that now he can cuddle with you.

While he got more comfortable in your arms, he was talking to his parents, sister and friend, while your hand was playing with his hair.

You were kinda embarrassed that his family was seeing how affectionate the both of you are, but they didn't bother at all. They loved how you treated their little boy and how he treats you. Sometimes they were even jealous of your love, saying that it's only "young love".

Gavi always made sure that people around him knew how you make him feel and how softly you make his heart. He made sure to make you feel loved all the time and you loved it. You love him

album review: Wachito Rico -- boy pablo

ALBUM RATING: 7.5/10

initial thoughts

i got some motivation to do another album review again HAHAHSH thanks @dumdum0515 for this rec! i haven't listened to a lot of boy pablo's discography (the few songs i listened to were just okay), so i'm not too sure if i'll like this, but i'm hopeful :)

track 1: ​i hope she loves me back

Okay woah I immediately liked the synth in the beginning! Lyrics are just okay to me, but the whole track is definitely a vibe + his voice fits that vibe, and I generally love the instrumentals.

8/10, i would relisten for the amazing synth

track 2: hey girl

This is groovy! The track starts off strong and immediately with the hook, that is repeated throughout, which makes it quite catchy. I like how it swells at the chorus, and the bridge is really cool too. It reminds me of The Beginning by Magdalena Bay, just slightly

8/10 too, any song that can be compared to The Beginning is amazing in my books

track 3: leave me alone!

THE BUILD UP BEFORE THE FIRST CHORUS?? it was unexpected and it works SO WELL with the chorus! plus that outro after that?? omg. I also love the bridge, it's a vibee. I like the drums in this song, and generally like the melody more than the previous two, so:

9.5/10! it was an immediate add to playlist

track 4: honey

The lyrics on this track are quite pretty and poetic, this is quite nice and the repeated notes in the chorus remind me of 'if i let u in' by Shye.

6/10, a very decent track! (I just liked it less than the previous 3)

track 5: rest up

Hmm, this track is okay! The hook is pretty good, and I just realised boy pablo's voice sounds kinda similar to Rex Orange County LOL.

also 6/10!

track 6: te vas // don't go

A cute and quite an aesthetic song! The lyrics feel like they can be quoted, and the bridge sounds like it would fit the ending of an episode in a tv series, when there's a resolution (something like Space Song in Wednesday)

6/10 too, still a decent track!

track 7: aleluya

Aww a sweet interlude! I like the vibes, and it extends from te vas//don't go quite well!

track 8: come home

Strong beginning again! It cools off into a more chill, slower pace which fits the home-y and welcoming vibes that the lyrics are trying to convey. Lyrics and melody/rhythm are integrated really well in this :)

track 9: mustache

This is okay to me! I like the general hook and the back part, the instrumentals after the lyrics

track 10: vamos a la playa

It's speeding up the pace for the next track, and OH THE TRANSITION?? Albums get bonus points to me if they have great transitions, so it looks like this album is going to qualify

track 11: wachito rico

OHH title track time. I immediately liked this! Instrumentals and melody, high scores across the board, plus a cool bridge?!!

track 12: nowadays

A quieter, acoustic track! Love the vibes and it sets the mood for the last 2 tracks from this album. Really quotable lyrics too, and the repeated lyrics work well in this track

track 13: i <3 u

I love this soft track, it ends the album well, especially the slower cool down from the bridge onwards. How the instrumentals briefly pause,, i love that type of syncopation so much!

I love this song so much!! With the creative use of build ups and quite a unique mix, it is memorable and reminds me of my favourite synth-pop tracks (although it's not exactly synth-pop). Definitely my favourite from this album

Overall, this album is very cohesive and I appreciate the 3 transition tracks! This was better than I expected and I'll definitely be listening to leave me alone! for a bit, and I'm sure the slower songs will grow on me with another listen.

not much to say, really...this song just feels so johnny.

it's a slow weekend, and johnny has once again found himself hanging at your place for no real reason for the third week in a row. you're playing music, the melodies gently filling your apartment. when you're not looking, johnny queues this song, and when it comes on, his soft hums escalate to singing and he's turning up the volume, pulling you up off of the sofa and playfully singing the lyrics to you (but lowkey he means them).

a/n: this is actually some of the cheesiest sh!t i've put into words but i don't know, it just seemed like that would happen (#delusions). like... imagine the fun and simple joy he would bring to your life... hm maybe i'm just very unwell LOL

Hey!! Could you do something about reader and gavi watching the barça matches at home? I think it would be so funny to watch a match with him, he’d yell at the screen all the time like if they could listen to him hahaha and specially now that barça is not on their greatest days i feel he’d get so pissed, poor boy

Game night

"When will the game start?" you asked while being in a big hurry.

You were waiting for the popcorn to be done while you were also making some orange juice, knowing that Pablo loves it.

"5-6 minutes." he replied.

Your hands were starting to hurt. Making your own juice wasn't easy and it took about 8 oranges so that it could be enough for you.

Or that is what you thought.

After all your hard work, it wasn't enough, and you had no oranges left now.

Gavi still had to take care of his diet, not being allowed to eat or drink sugar.

You sighed sadly, pouring the liquid into a bigger glass.

After some shouts that came from your boyfriend's mouth telling you that the game began, the popcorn was finally ready.

Thank God it was enough for both of you.

When you were done, you took the food, the water, and the juice, and immediately came to the living room, already seeing Gavi up with his hands on his head.

"What happened??" you asked confused while putting everything on the table.

"Not even 2 minutes since the game started, and they already scored a goal!"

You looked at the TV just to be shocked by how fast the other team scored.

"That's tought."

Gavi groaned in annoyance, sad that he couldn't be on the field to help his team when they needed him the most.

When he looked at the table, he had a sweet pout on his face.

"That's why it took you so long?" his tone was soft, being sad that he is unavailable for some months and that you have to take care of him.

"I'm sorry, I tried to hurry up-"

"No, I should be the one to apologise here, love. You are my girl and I should take care of you.." he interrupted you.

"You take care of me, Pablo. But right now, it's my turn, so shut up, and let's watch this game, okay?"

He smiled at you and kissed your lips shortly, but sweet.

The game was really stressful and Gavi just couldn't stay in place.

He would walk around the room, making all kinds of faces when Barca was missing or losing the ball.

When half the game ended, he tiredly hugged you, telling you how hard it is to watch his favourite football team lose.

"I just want to be on the field, y/n."

"I know, but you have to recover so that you can go there and help them win. Until there, your support is enough, love."

"Enough? They can't even pass the ball cause they lose it!"

You laughed at how his eyebrows were moving, making his face funnier.

You kissed his forehead, hugging him tighter.

The game continued and Barca wasn't getting better than the other half.

Gavi was like a couch at home, yelling at everyone for their mistakes. You were also disappointed that the team wasn't doing much and you couldn't figure it out why they are so bad .

Of course, Pablo had a big impact on the team, but De Jong and Pedri were back.

After what seemed like hours, at 89', Cancelo finally scored a goal, making it 1-1.

Still disappointing, especially since they weren't playing with a big team, but 1 point rather than 0 was a bit better.

You looked at your boyfriend who was stressing out.

"Maybe they can win. It'll be just luck at how bad they played today, anyway."

But they didn't.

Right after the players went to the locker room, Gavi took his phone and started to text everyone on the team.

You were laughing, looking at how serious he was.

He groaned before kissing you, and drinking the water that was on the table, leaving the orange juice just for you.

Oh and how angry he was when the players were taking interviews after.

"Only excuses" he rolled his eyes, making you chuckle.

Oh, how you love this boy.

So backstory: all through my teenage years i listened to whatever was on the radio + whatever christian pop resonated with the culty christian stuff i believed at the time. So i completely missed out on the amazing indie scene & like real emotional stuff of the time bc i didn't understand romantic songs either. So right now in my midtwenties my fav music is this kind of stuff.
