Chapter 23 - Uninvited. Episode 1.

------Andy's point of view------ *Time after the engagement went smoothly. Well smoothly for our lives at least. Lazy summer days were over us, spending most of our time dazing in the garden, basking in the sun. Everything seemed quiet for a while, and we could all 3 finally enjoy our little household fully. Everything was peaceful. That was until late night on Evan's birthday.*

*At first Evan didn't wish to do anything for the day. His depression had crippled him, and he was mostly hiding under a thick blanket in bed. Early evening I decided it couldn't be healthy for him to hide like that, in the summer heat, so I dragged him upstairs where Congo had been cooking birthday dinner. To my surprise it didn't take long for Evan's face to grow a little smile. Seemed like all he needed was a little catering. So the three of us enjoyed the delicious dinner alongside a few glass of wine. As we were all full and more or less just poking the leftovers on our plates, Evan nodded at the big piano in front of us, and asked if I would please play him a song, so I sat down at the piano, then quickly changed my mind.*

Andy: *I smirked at Evan, still sitting at the dinner table with his glass of red wine in his hand* Get over here will you?

Evan: *He chuckled softly and looked at me wondering, but slowly got up and made his way towards me*

Andy: I figured, you are already a skilled bass player… a fairly good guitar player…. an awesome singer…. but piano? *I quickly got up from the piano bench, and padded it gently* sit down…

Evan: *He chuckled softly and shook his head lightly, but without protesting, he let himself sink down on the bench* Alright… what do I do?

Andy: *I chuckled hoarse* Well mastermind… try starting out placing your hands on the keys. *I pointed my tongue at him cheekily and chuckled hoarser than before*

Evan: *He rolled his eyes at me and gently placed his hands on the piano keys* You don't say.

Andy: *I chuckled softly and leaned over him. Standing behind him I could easily reach around him and gently place my Hands on top of his. For the next 20 minutes I gave him a quick piano lesson once in a while nodding at Congo at the table, it was easy to see he enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere*

Evan: *He chuckled mid note as his hands started fumbling* Alright, that's enough for tonight. I have had a bit too much wine for this… *He grabbed my hands gently and lifted one of them up to his lips, kissing it softly, I loved the feeling of his warm lips against the back of my hand, and it instantly sent goosebumps growing on my arms*

Andy: *I smiled softly and kissed his hair* Alright, let's go join Congo, he is cleaning the plates all by himself by now…

Evan: *He got up slowly and planted a tender kiss on my lips* Nah… sit down and play… please. I'll go help him… you can be the entertainment.

Congo: *He chuckled warmly from the kitchen* I think that sounds like a wonderful idea, Evan *he waved a kitchen towel towards us and sipped a beer*

Andy: *I smiled warmly at them both* Alright… any requests?

Congo: *He smiled warmly and nodded at the piano* How about a song for the birthday boy? *As he said so he passed a towel to Evan and returned to the dishes*

Evan: *He kinda blushed a bit, and it sent butterflies swirling in my stomach* Nah… you don't have to….

*At the end of the song, I got partially distracted when the doorbell suddenly rang. But continued playing. I figured it was probably some of the gang, dropping by to wish Evan a happy birthday, even if I had told them he wasn't in a condition of having a party thrown his way.*
